NAC, PBR but no redirect webpage

Hi guys...
I need some assistance....We set up the NAC as Out-of-Band Real-IP Gateway...We have PBR set up, and we are able to get ip address (authentication vlan), but no redirect webpage...
any assistance would be greatly appreciated...

You will need to do some packet captures along the path between the client and CAS to see exactly where the traffic is being dropped. You may need to add a static route in the NAC device to get the traffic back to the auth vlan.

  • User console redirection webpage uses unnecessary browser sniffing

    User console redirection webpage uses unnecessary browser sniffing
    https://ps.palmws.com/palmcsext/console/
    That user console redirection webpage has this piece of JavaScript that uses unnecessary browser sniffing:
    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
    function checkBrowser()
    var agt=navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase();
    var is_mac = (agt.indexOf("mac")!=-1);
    var is_ie = (agt.indexOf("msie")!= -1);
    var is_opera = (agt.indexOf("opera")!= -1);
    var is_firefox = (agt.indexOf("firefox")!= -1);
    var is_window = (agt.indexOf("window")!= -1);
    var is_safari = (agt.indexOf("safari")!= -1);
    if (is_window) {
    if (is_firefox || is_ie || is_safari) {
    window.location = "/palmcsext/console/pages/LoginPage.iface";
    } else {
    window.location = "/palmcsext/console/notfound/notfound.html";
    } else if (is_mac) {
    window.location = "/palmcsext/console/pages/LoginPage.iface";
    } else {
    window.location = "/palmcsext/console/pages/LoginPage.iface";
    </script>
    The browser sniffing is pretty harmful. Remove it.
    Just simply change the script to:
    window.location = "/palmcsext/console/pages/LoginPage.iface";

    If you look at the logic, even unsupported browsers will pass the test.
    The if statements only check for supported browsers running on Windows or Mac OSes. If the user is using a different OS, regardless of supported or unsupported browser, the webpage will still redirect correctly.
    The script doesn't do a good job of checking for supported browsers either. The user can set a custom user agent, and the code can't rely on the user agent string.
    Checking for browser support should be done by feature detection, not by user agent string checking.
    If the user sets a custom user agent string or uses a browser with which the code works, then it harms the user.
    The concept of the web is that it should work everywhere. Blocking browsers not only harms the user but also harms the web.
    If the code is written to web standards, the webpage should work in all modern browsers.
    Thus, it is pointless, inefficient, and unnecessary to have those if statements there.
    Like I said, the code can be simplified by just using 1 line:
    window.location = "/palmcsext/console/pages/LoginPage.iface";
    I have asked for more specifics here to find out why that logic is in place.  Not saying I can post back anything, but I have asked.
    And unless I'm reading it wrong, the check for unsupported browsers (so anything NOT firefox, ie or safari) only happens if you're running windows.  If you're on Mac or some other OS, it directs to the working page.  I have asked about that, too.

  • HT1338 connection to internet ok but cannot view webpages in browser

    I have a MacBook that has always been able to connect to the internet and view webpages aok until this afternoon. Although it is connected to the Internet ok, it will not let me view any webpages in either Safari or Firefox. The page justs spins and spins and never loads. I've tried a few different websites and have also tried via both our wireless connection and hardline connection to no success.
    I am able to connect to the internet and view webapges ok on a different computer on the same network so I believe this problem is limited to my MacBook.
    I've done some research and understand that maybe something called 'mDNSResponder' could be the problem? Something about problems resolving the hosts via DNS?  I've seen some suggestions on how to fix this but I am wary of just doing a bunch of stuff that someone posted online - especially when it involves commands with the word 'kill' in it. And I'm not understanding where I am supposed to type those commands anyway - in Terminal?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Ruth,
    Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712
    Is that Interface dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations and checked ON?
    The Interface that connects to the Internet, needs to be drug to the top of System Preferences>Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations and checked ON.
    10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
    System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
    The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
    Then... Try putting these numbers in Network>TCP/IP>DNS Servers, for the Interface you connect with...
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    Then Apply. For 10.5/10.6/10.7 Network, highlight Interface>Advanced button>DNS tab>little + icon.
    DNS Servers are a bit like Phone books where you look up a name and it gives you the phone number, in our case, you put in apple.com and it comes back with 17.149.160.49 behind the scenes.
    These Servers have been patched to guard against DNS poisoning, and are faster/more reliable than most ISP's DNS Servers.

  • Blocking advertizers that redirect webpages

    When I try to open a web page, I get redirected to advertising, sometimes sleezy ones. I'm the only one using my laptop, and I never go on sites like that. I mostly use Google, Youtube, Amazon, Facebook, Yahoo mail and recipes. I have to close the window and start over again to try to get back to my work. FRUSTRATING! Sometimes the ad plays in the background and I cannot see where the sound comes from, even when I minimize the window. This has only been happening for the last month or so. I tried to block pop-ups, but now its blocking my work and when I try to make exceptions for it, it still allows what I don't want, and block what I do want. Help! I erased all the cookies, but that did not help. I tried to uninstall Firefox completely and then download it again, but it downloaded to exactly the same settings, history etc. that I had before! Can I get rid of this junk? It sometimes open in the back, but it slows down my ability to work tremendously.
    How do I get rid of this?
    Can I block specific sites that come up repeatedly? (White and Yellow pages, celebrity pages etc.)
    I have a Mac and no virus is detected on my laptop. It's only when I try to surf the web. Thanks so much.

    did you try reflashing the firmware of the router ??

  • Redirecting, But Not Redirecting

    Hello I have redirected my podcast for good two months now to my new webhost with the
    <itunes:new-feed-url>http://www.myfeedurl.com/rss.xml</itunes:new-feed-url> tag
    but the itunes page is not being redirected BUT, my new podcast is being downloaded in iTunes itself.  As not sure how to go about fixing this I thought I ask here if anybody can give their insight. Also I have one more questiob about the tag above. Will iTunes switch the RSS Feed from the old one feed to the new feed permanently after some time and the I don't have access to the old host anymore? This was never really answer in anything I have readed.

    If you have entered the redirection tag correctly everyone who subscribes will be automatically and permanently redirected to the new feed as soon as they check the feed, and the Store will redirect the next time it checks the feed, which can take a couple of days.
    I can't comment any further than that without being able to examine the evidence: would you like to post the URLs of both feed and of the Store page (you can find the latter by right-clicking on the podcast image and choosing 'Copy URL').

  • Does anyone recognize the issue that an attempt to use the Photoshop Image Processor from Bridge/Tools opens Photoshop CC 2014 but then redirects to Photoshop CC stating that CC 2014 doesn't support this.

    @

    Read you original post again and your last post and now I am confused.
    You said you reset your Bridge preferences, yet in post #1 you said " I hold the control key down and click on the Bridge icon, I don't get the reset window. I tried it by control-clicking on the Bridge icon from within Photoshop, and I tried it by control-clicking on the Bridge icon from my desktop with Photoshop closed.
    So with this said you have not reset the preferences unless you have gone in and deleted the file.  The Bridge Icon is the one one the desktop that you click to start Bridge.
    BUT, in last post you say you have a Mac.  So to reset preference believe it is Cmd key.
    No matter how you do it you need to get the reset window with the 3 reset options.

    Hi
    There are two things to check :
    1.  Check the driver which you are using in BO ( If you are try to connect using ODBC try to change the drivers and check)
    2.  Viewer--In infoview go in preferences and try to change the viewer.  If your report is using DHTL, try to change it to Java or Web viewer and check.
    Thanks,
    Sastry

  • When I open Gmail my calendar will not open. It tries to connect but cannot redirect properly. It works fine under Windows explorer.

    When I'm logged into Gmail and I try to open up my Gmail Calendar I get a error in the window saying "The page isn't redirecting properly". It works fine under Windows Explorer. I have Windows 7 and the latest Firefox application, downloaded today.

  • Works in Flash preview, but not on webpage?

    I'm using this code to externally load a .swf into my site. I made sure all the files were uploaded. I'm sure, because I can even find the .swf on the site, it just won't show up on the main page. (for example, I can find it at www.mysite.com/flashfolder/animation.swf, but not in it's place at www.mysite.com)
    Here's the code I'm using:
    createEmptyMovieClip("anim", 0);
    anim.loadMovie("animation.swf");
    anim._x = 156;
    anim._y = 515;
    It's inserted into the actions panel of a new layer in the main Scene 1 timeline in my .fla project. It works when I preview it (ctrl+enter), but when I upload everything to the site, it doesn't show up?
    Anyone know what may cause/why this is happening?
    Thanks for your help in advance!

    Is the file that is loading animation.swf also in the same folder?

  • Wireless connected but cannot open webpages

    I just bought a wireless router (WRT54G) for my (wired) Mac desktop and (wireless) PC laptop. The Mac (wired through the router) works fine, but I'm having trouble with the PC. It can find the wireless network and connect to it just fine, but when I open a web browser, the browser is unable to connnect to any websites. We are on a school campus that has Ethernet built in, which is our internet connection, so I'm not using an ISP or modem. I set up the router with the Mac, using the Secure Easy Setup button, but do I need to do the same thing with the PC? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

    Hi… logon to router’s setup page, try changing wireless channel to 1 or 11, go to advanced wireless settings reduce beacon interval to 50, fragmentation and RTS threshold to 2304, change Transmission rate to 54 MBps…also try upgrading latest firmware on router, check whether it makes any difference or not and let me know.

  • Hi, I tried to change my AppStore account from Emirati store to Canadian. I have genuine Credit card and address of Canada. It updated my payment info but it redirects me to Emirati store instead of Canadian.. Please help me. Thank you.

    I even tried to create new account using Canadian credit card and address but it says "invalid security code" or " contact iTunes support" ... Need your help guys.

    Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
    If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.
    And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

  • Migrating user from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 succeeds but OWA redirects to 2010

    Hello everyone,
    I am migrating users from exchange 2010 to 2013, Users migration works perfectly and completes without any issue but after the user migration finishes I try to login to OWA but user goes to OWA exchange 2010 not 2013 as if the mailbox has not been migrated.
    I have checked the HomeMDB attribute and I can see the new database on 2013 is located there. how to solve this? I have retransfered the user back to 2010 and 2013 but it didn't work.
    I would appreciate your help.
    Thanks
    Mohammed JH

    Hi Amit
    After 30 mins approximately we checked the inboxes that have been migrted (2) and we found out they are working.
    İ wonder why there is this delay ? İ have already done migration before but it never took this much time. İ would appreciate your reply.
    Thanks
    Mohammed JH

  • User cannot access redirected Documents folder, but can connect to share in Windows Explorer and access folder on server

    I am in the final stages of a cross-forest migration.  Users have Windows 7 workstations with redirected folders on a Windows Server 2012 box running in the old forest.  User accounts were not migrated.  The accounts in use have always
    been in the "new" forest.  One of our challenges was the large volume of data in redirected folders.  I made sure users in the target forest had continued to have access to their redirected folders in the old forest and robocopied
    the entire users share, copying the permissions with the files.  By doing incremental robocopies, we can get a final copy done now in about six hours.  The plan was simple: copy the files, do an incremental copy every night, on the night of the cutover
    change the folder redirection policy Documents path from
    \\oldserver\users\%USERNAME% to
    \\newserver\users\%USERNAME%. The policy is configured to NOT copy user files from the existing folder to the new redirected folder.  Everything was going well until I tested the policy change.  After the folder redirection policy is updated
    and applied, the user cannot access the private Documents folder.  For example, user Chester Tester logs on as ctester.  I open Windows Explorer and click the Documents shortcut.  I see one subfolder, which is subfolder of Public Documents.
    So I can look at Public Documents but when I click on the Documents folder (Under the Documents library link) I get an access denied error.  Now for the kicker, if I open another Windows Explorer window and edit the address bar to
    \\newserver\users\ctester, I can navigate the Documents folder tree and see my thousands of documents. What the ....?
    I'm hoping this is something really simple to fix!
    TIA

    HI Vivian,
    Thank you for your reply.  Yes, the path in Group Policy Folder Redirection Root Path was updated to
    \\NEWSERVER\users.  I had planned to point this to the distributed file system, so the first used was actually
    \\domain\dfs\users.  To simplify things I have backed off to copying to just a normal share
    \\newserver\users.
    We are using BASIC folder redirection and we create a folder for each user under the root path.
    We did not want the policy to move content, as we were seeing users requiring 15-20 minute logon times  (or higher) after the policy is changed.
    Grant the User exclusive right to Documents - Disabled
    Move the contents of Documents to the new location - Disabled
    Related folder settings
    Video - Follow Documents
    Music - Follow Documents
    Pictures - Follow Documents
    Now when I change the folder redirection from old server to new server I now have TWO My Documents folders in the user's redirection folder on the server.  The redirected Documents points to an empty folder set.  The copied folders with all user
    data are there, but folder redirection refuses to recognize the original folder.
    I am looking at the full view of the folder, nothing hidden, so I'm wondering how a folder can have two subfolders with the exact same name.  For now, I just want the redirection to move from the old server to the new server properly.  I deleted
    the new My Documents folder, rebooted the user's workstation and tried again.  The behavior repeats itself, i.e., a new My Documents folder is always created when the redirection policy is changed from the old server to the new server.  The environment
    has about 1500 users with approximately 1.3TB of data in the redirected Documents folders.  OUCH!
