Name_list for table mode dp import  foiled by carriage return

Hi,
I'm seeing the following work fine:
dbms_datapump.metadata_filter(v_db_hndl,'NAME_LIST','''MY_TABLE_ONE'',''MY_TABLE_TWO'', ''MY_TABLE_THREE''');
But if I break the line inside the name list parameter string, eg.
dbms_datapump.metadata_filter(v_db_hndl,'NAME_LIST','''MY_TABLE_ONE'',''MY_TABLE_TWO'',
''MY_TABLE_THREE''');
I get ORA-39002 invalid operation as soon as I do start_job.
Obviously I can build up a very long string w/o any line breaks by multiple assignments to a variable, so I'm not stuck on this issue. But it was a bit challenging to figure out what was causing the problem. Is a little bug ?
Thanks,
Steve

I have to set the expend_all in order to achive the result..
it_layout-expand_all ='X'.
Thanks & regards
Rahul

  • Import for table only in one line

There is the following command for import of the schema:-
    imp <userid/password> file=<export dump file location> fromuser=<export user name> touser=<import user name> grants=y constraints=Y rows=y log=<import log file location>
But, what if we want to import only one table, then what should the import statement look like?
I hope, my question is clear.
Please, help in solving the doubt.
    regards

    Just a query!!
I have a 9GB full dump and i want to recover say 1 table 100MB from it. Suppose, if the table is probably in a schema that is at the last portion of the dump file.
Why does the imp utility search through the whole dump to come accross the table to be imported. Is there any way to cut the time of search in the dump file by imp utility to directly jump on the schema and then start the search for the table?
    Please share experiences.

  • Import dumpfile with seperate tablespaces for table and index

    Hi,
We have a schema for which the its tables are stored in seperate tablespace and indexes are stored in different tablespace. Now we have take full schema export. Now we want to import it on another schema. Now I want to know if the we have difference in the tablespace name we use REMAP_TABLESPACE clause of the impdp command but what about the seperate tablespace for table and indexes. How would Oracle handle this.
    Regards,
    Abbasi

    Hi,
I hope you created the same tablespace structure on the target side if not so remap_tablespace option you have to use for specifying different tablespaces.Oracle will take care of putting data and index.Any how if a index is moved from one tablespace to other you have to rebuild them, once you rebuild them than only stattistics are gathered otherwise you
    might face some performance issue.
Better option is to keep same tablespace structures in source and target environment.
    Best regards,
    Rafi.

  • Passing a table to an import parameter for a FM

    Hello experts,
The goal is to update the date of  a record from the database table ZSHIPM_PLAN05.
In   ABAP dictionnany I define a structure ZST_SHIPM_PLAN05 based on a database table in ZSHIPM_PLAN05
    Further I define a variable import in function Module(FM): IV_SHIPMENT type ZST_SHIPM_PLAN05.
But I get the following error when compiling the FM: "IV_SHIPMENT" is neither specified under "TABLES"  nor defined as a internal table.
    Thank you for your Help.
    In the top_include I have :
    TYPES: BEGIN OF tt_ZST_SHIPM_PLAN05.
            INCLUDE STRUCTURE ZST_SHIPM_PLAN05.
    END OF tt_ZST_SHIPM_PLAN05.
DATA: gt_outtab TYPE TABLE OF tt_ZSHIPM_PLAN05,
                 wa_ZSHIPM_PLAN05 LIKE LINE OF gt_outtab.
        CALL FUNCTION 'Z_SHIPM_PLAN_SAVE05'
          EXPORTING
            iv_shipment = gt_outtab

    LOOP AT IV_SHIPMENT INTO wa_ZST_SHIPM_PLAN05.
    settings the color

        wa_ZSHIPM_PLAN05-crea_date = sy-date.
      ENDIF.
      MODIFY gt_outtab FROM wa_ZST_SHIPM_PLAN05 TRANSPORTING crea_date.
    ENDLOOP.
"MESSAGE 'Do you want save' type 'I'.
           SET SCREEN 0.
    ENDFUNCTION.

    Hi,
Assign IV_SHIPMENT under changing or tables Parameter because import and Export statement holds a field not structure or table.

  • SAP database tables - Column statistics not found for table in DB02 - During import, inconsistent tables were found - Some open conversion requests still exist in the ABAP dictionary.

    Hi Experts,
I'm implementing SAP note 1990492 which requires manual implementation. Implementation includes modifying standard tables (i.e. append
the structure FIEU_S_APP_H to table FIEUD_FIDOC_H). After this I've adjusted the table in SE14 (Database Utility). I've done checks in SE14 and it shows the table is consistent.
But during DB02 -> Space folder -> Single table analysis -> Input table name -> Indexes tab -> Upon clicking statistics, there is a warning "Column statistics not found for table".
Our basis team is implementing an Add-On in the development system related to RWD Context Sensitive Help. They cannot proceed due to the following inconsistencies found in the table.
    Screenshot error from the activity:
    Screenshot from DB02:
I'm an ABAP developer and have no other ideas on what to do. Thanks in Advanced.

    Hi All,
We were able to fix the issue through the following:
    1. Call transaction
    SE14.
    2. Enter the name of
    the table and choose "Edit".
    3. Choose
    "Indexes".
    4. Select the index
    and choose "Choose (F2)".
    5. If you choose
"Activate and adjust", the system creates the index again and it is
    consistent.
    6. Check the object
    log of this activation.
    7. If an error
occurs, eliminate the cause and reactivate the index.

  • Expanded Tables Mode Missing

Where did Expanded Tables Mode go? This is a necessary feature for those of us that are required to support older versions of email programs that don't properly support div tags. Also, when I need to analyze older websites or emails I use the Expanded Tables mode as an analytical tool.

Yes, feature deprecation is inevitable as the web and software evolves. I've always accepted that. I was thinking more about the timing. Sometimes Adobe gets it wrong. 12.1 is a prime example.
Equally unfortunate is the fact that the first ever Cloud-only update for DW has included the removal of features with no prior warning.
We're scratching our heads and left to our own devices to explore the post-update feature set via trial-and-error in the forums.
    David_Powers wrote:
However, it does raise a question for CC subscribers. Let's say a feature that's important to you is removed from a major release (CS7 or CS8). Copies of the previous version are removed from the Adobe store as soon as a new one is released. It seems a reasonable assumption that the same will happen with the Creative Cloud. As a subscriber, you don't have a perpetual licence of the old version to roll back to.
    Agreed.
I'd like to think that Adobe thought this scenario through when they were putting together the business model and policies for the Cloud.
It's becoming increasingly clear that that is not the case. It's policy on the run in some cases, this one included.
The only thing I've read online anywhere close to addressing this is that they give you up to 12 months to upgrade to the next version before you're "forced" to. But I think most people will upgrade the same day that the upgrade is released so I don't see this working in practice to address the scenario you've described.
Without prior warning, everyone will assume that an upgrade means new or enhanced features - not removal.

  • Partial match for Value Mapping in Import Manager

    Hello Experts,
We have a import map which is used to do mass insert of data into the main table. This is done as & when required by the end user.
We have a qualified lookup field which has a flat lookup filed as the Non-Qualifier. This flat lookup field is refering to a Lookup Flat table, which has mulitple dispay fields like Code,Name, Status etc. (14 fields in total) where as only the Code is the unique field.
We have only the unique field in our source file which we use for the import. Since we have only a part of the display fields in the source, the automap functionality in the Value maping section doesn't work. It becomes very tedious for the user to manually map all the values for this field.
Is there any way by which we can convert the source or target values in the import map, so that we can map the values using the Automap feature?
Your help & suggestion for alternate approach is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Uday
P.S. We are using SAP MDM 5.5 SP6.

    Hi Uday,
No need to enable remote key mapping for QLT. Please execute the below steps(stated with an example) -
    1.  Among all the fields in the referenced lookup table, identify the lookup fields and the tables they are looking up .
For eg.If you have a lookup field as 'Country' as one of the fields, look up table will be 'Countries'
2.For the identified lookup tables, set 'key mapping =Yes' in Console.
For eg, For Country Lookup table ,set Key mapping to 'Yes'
3.Import values into Lookup table (Import manager)/ Remote key update -
In import manager, select source (local file) and destination as Countries flat table. This Table will be haing 2fields - Code and description.Clone the 'Code'field and map it to Remote key field in destination hierarchy.Map code and description to equivalent destination fields. Select 'Code' as matching field > Perform import into lookup table.
Check if the records in countries table are updated with remote keys(in Data manager> right click on a record> select 'Edit key mappings' > view key mapping for the record)
    3.Import to Qualified table/Auto value mapping -
Now, in the import map for qualified import , map the source field and destination field (of lookup type), all the values of this field will automatically map.
Similarly, refresh remote keys mappings for all the lookup tables first and then you can see auto mappings of values happening for the lookup fields.

  • Performance for table BKFP

    Hi,
I would like to enquire is there anyway that i can improve the performance for table BKPF from the ABAP code point of view.
Because we have customise one program to generate report for the asset master listing.
one of the select statement are show as below:
SELECT SINGLE * FROM BKPF WHERE BUKRS = ANEP-BUKRS
                                      AND GJAHR = ANEP-GJAHR
                                      AND AWKEY = AWKEYUS.
I would like to know how it different from the select statemene below:
SELECT SINGLE * FROM BKPF INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF T_BKPF
          WHERE
          BUKRS = ANEP-BUKRS
      AND GJAHR = ANEP-GJAHR
      AND AWKEY = AWKEY.
Which of the select statements above can enhance report, because currently we have face quite bad issue on this report.
Can i post the ABAP code on this forum.
Hope someone can help me on this. thank you.

    Hi,
As much as possible use the primary keys of BKPF which is BUKRS, BELNR and GJAHR. Also, select only the records which are needed so to increase performance. Please look at the code below:
    DATA: lv_age_of_rec TYPE p.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_final> LIKE LINE OF it_final.
      LOOP AT it_final ASSIGNING <fs_final>.
      get records from BKPF
SELECT SINGLE bukrs belnr gjahr budat bldat xblnr bktxt FROM bkpf
        INTO (bkpf-bukrs, bkpf-belnr, bkpf-gjahr, <fs_final>-budat,
              <fs_final>-bldat, <fs_final>-xblnr, <fs_final>-bktxt)
        WHERE bukrs = <fs_final>-bukrs
          AND belnr = <fs_final>-belnr
          AND gjahr = <fs_final>-gjahr.
      if <fs_final>-shkzg = 'H', multiply dmbtr(amount in local currency)
      by negative 1
        IF <fs_final>-shkzg = 'H'.
          <fs_final>-dmbtr = <fs_final>-dmbtr * -1.

  • Error when executing statement for table/stored proc

    Hi All,
I am getting this error when executing IDOC to JDBC (Stored Procedure) Scenario.
In my stored procedure I have three insert statements to insert rows in to 3 tables.
This stored procedure is working fine for two insert statements i.e,
For this I have created data type for stored procedure with 10 elements and executed the scenario and was successfully running.
when I added 3rd insert statement to stored procedure ie., when i added 5 more elements to the datatype (totally 15 elements) it starts giving the bellow error in Message Monitoring.
<i><b>Exception caught by adapter framework: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'COGRP_TMP_PROC_1' (structure 'Statements'): java.sql.SQLException: General error</b></i>
<i><b>Delivery of the message to the application using connection JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'COGRP_TMP_PROC_1' (structure 'Statements'): java.sql.SQLException: General error</b></i>
Note:- I have run the stored procedure  with three insert statements in Sql Server, and also by calling an external program also, and was working fine.
<i><b> Note : Is there any structure needs to be follow when working with IDOC to Stored procedure.</b></i>
I am struck up with the error, can any body resolve this issue.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Murthy

    Hi narasimha,
This seems to be any error due to incorrect query formation. In your receiver jdbc channel set the parameter logSQLstatement = true.you can find this parameter in the advanced mode. Using this parameter you will be able to see the sql query which is generated at runtime in the audit log in RWB.

  • Dml error logging for tables in 10.2.0.5

    Hi experts,
I have problems loading error records into the shadow table specified in the configuration window for tables. Upon executing the mapping, the execution results show warnings with the error records but these records were not moved to the shadow/error table.
The actual scenario is: I specified a non-null data rule on the supplier_code column in the supplier table. Inside the mapping where I used this supplier table, I choose the option "Move to error" for this non-null data rule. Upon executing, it seems that owb treats these as warnings and not errors and thus did not propagate them to the error table. Anyone has any suggestion as to how to make use of the error tables in owb?

DML error logging is generated for set-based PL/SQL mappings if the following conditions are satisfied:
    1. the Error table name property is set for the operator (table/view/mv)
    2. the PL/SQL Generated Mode of the module that contains the mapping is set to 10gR2 and above or Default.
If the value is set to Default, ensure that location associated with the module has the Version set to 10.2 or above.
When you use a data object in a mapping, the Error Table Name property for this data object is derived from the shadow table name property of the data object . If you modify the error table name of a data object (using the shadow table name property), you must synchronize all the operators bound to this data object.
If you are still facing the issue then provide your email and I can send a simple example of data rule mapping in OWB 10.2.0.5

  • Alias for table and colum names?

    Hi there,
is there a new to create a alias for table and colum names? If so, how can I do this?
    Thanks,
    Andre

I'm not sure why you want them changed. The Oracle database by default is case insensitive, which in essence means it converts everything to upper case when a case is not specified (which can be done by wrapping it in quotes). Unfortunately, Java strings are case sensitive. This means that if you try searching resultsets for "TableName" when the database driver is returning "TABLENAME", you will run into problems. It is probably better to have your project match your database as closely as possible to avoid any issues later on.
That said, I don't know of a way to automatically have the workbench use mixed case names - it uses the strings as they are returned from the database. I believe you will need to manually change the table names if you want them to be different than what you have imported.
    Best Regards,

  • Using numbers for roster information. Imported from another program. Now seem to have extra headers, one listing name, address, etc.

Using numbers for roster information. Imported from another program. Now seem to have extra headers, one listing name, address, etc. & another A, B, C. They don't mesh & can't get rid of either. All info there, but can't change width of columns.

I think my problem is that I have inadvertently created three tables (I only want one). I have included a screen shot of the light grey line under B and the words Table 1 behind it.
