NE2 Question...

Looks like there are several people with Fed Ex / UPS shipping and delivery dates..(me included)..but has anyone seen any Verizon billing which gives any NE2 discounts...?

I got my $30 NE2 discount.

  • Upgrade & NE2 Question

I have the Nationwide FS 1400 plan and my phone is the primary line on the account. I have not upgraded my phone in 3 years so I am eligible for an upgrade and a $100 credit from the NE2 program. I am confused by two things about the ending of the program and how it affects me.
    1. If I don't upgrade before the 16th will I loose the $100 credit?
    2. If I don't upgrade and wait until Feb. 3rd can I apply that credit towards the iPhone?
    3. If I upgrade today before the program ends and use the new phone for the next few weeks, would I be eligible for the iPhone discount of $199 on the Feb. 3rd? In other words, can I upgrade today using the NE2 and in a few week use the eligible upgrade on the iPhone?

Well ok I get what your saying.  Online It says 07-18-10(I will assume that you mean 07-18-11, otherwise you were eligible LAST JULY and this is all moot), and my phone says the samething.  But I have recieved two emails now stating that as of Dec 19th I can upgrade with $100 credit and resign for new two year.  Went to local store and they told me yes I'm able to upgrade now with the $100 credit.  I never pushed to why the online and phone dont state the same.  So thats why I guess I said the two variants.
I just asked about the 199 for the iPhone is because most of your smartphones are 299 and when you add your credit its 199.  Now the iphone comes in after the Jan 16th change with no more credit offered and the phone is offered for 199.  Just seems to me the first thing you see is all they are doing is taking away the hassle of the credit and just offering the phone for that price.  Thats why I asked.
It sounds to me as if you are misunderstanding the emails/store communications. What it sounds like to me, is that your NE2 credit becomes available on 7/18/11 which comes at month 20 of a 24 month contract. On certain price plans, a person is able to get an annual upgrade which is 8 months prior to when you become eligible for a NE2 upgrade. For an annual upgrade, you do not get the NE2 credit, and would fall in line with your 07/18/11 and 12/18/10 dates you have indicated.
If indeed you really meant to say 07/18/10, then you became eligible LAST JULY.
As to the price of the iPhone, there are 2 versions available:16GB for $199 and 32GB for $299 with discounted pricing, and adding a NE2 credit would further decrease these prices.

  • Contract Renewal Question

    Hey,
Currently, I'm on a family plan(5 people) and we're able to upgrade our phones and contracts in July.  My family really wants to upgrade, they hate their phones, so it'll happen right around when it's available.  The question arrives here however: I am interested in getting an iPhone and a refresh of it is probably a couple months out.  If we upgrade, would I be able to defer my upgrade until the next one is released?  Or would I need to do it at the time of the contract renewal?
    Thanks.

Once your upgrade date occurs you can do so whenever you want.  That being said, for whomever is the account owner, you only have 6 months from when you are eligible for a 2 year upgrade to use your last NE2 credit ($35 or $50) After 6 months, you still get two year pricing, but you will not receive the add'l credit.

  • Uprading Phone questions to a confused person?

So um I'm going to upgrade my phone in about a week. My contract was previously set from the LG EnV 3 but I lost that one so I had my mom's old phone and I was still able to keep that contract. Anyway, I have several questions regarding upgrading my phone. I tried contacting the verizon wireless store from the information given from the "Contact Us" on this website but it didn't work for some reason.
Anyway, my first question is how much will the verizon company give for an upgrade? I've been hearing it's anywhere from $25 to $100. Next week, my two year contract will end so does that mean I'm going to get $100, and hopefully not just $25, for my upgrade?
Next, I heard in some droid forum that if you're contract is expired and you are getting an upgrade after or when your contract expires, you get an extra $50 off of whatever you're buying? Is this true?
Third, I have a $50 giftcard to bestbuy. Can I use this giftcard to buy a droid phone (Incredible or X2 or something like that) from bestbuy and still have the same coverage and data plan or whatever?
Yeah I got my LG EnV 3 as a surprise present and they handle the monthly payments and all the stuff so I'm new to all of this.

Next week, my two year contract will end so does that mean I'm going to get $100, and hopefully not just $25, for my upgrade? This depends on a few things. The credit you're referring to is called the NE2 discount. This discount only applies to the primary line on the account, and the price depends on your calling plan and the last time you signed a contract. This program was done away with in January of this year, so if you DO have any left to use, it will be your last one. If you log on to My Verizon (you must be the account owner) it will show you how much of a discount you have to use, or you can call Customer Service. This credit does expire 6 months after you become eligible (so, 6 months AFTER your 20 month point of your contract is fulfilled)
Next, I heard in some droid forum that if you're contract is expired and you are getting an upgrade after or when your contract expires, you get an extra $50 off of whatever you're buying? Is this true? This is the same thing as the credit I spoke of above. Verizon doesn't "give you" anything for an upgrade - just the NE2 credit if you're eligible.
Third, I have a $50 giftcard to bestbuy. Can I use this giftcard to buy a droid phone (Incredible or X2 or something like that) from bestbuy and still have the same coverage and data plan or whatever? 3rd party retailers often have their own contracts and return/exchange policies, as well as warranties and insurance. Just be sure to read everything very carefully and know what you're signing up for. 3rd party retailers do not honor NE2 credits - those can only be redeemed through Verizon. Remember, if you choose to go with Best Buy and you do in fact have an NE2 credit on your line - you will lose that for good.
Yeah I got my LG EnV 3 as a surprise present and they handle the monthly payments and all the stuff so I'm new to all of this.
Also please remember that since you're upgrading to a smartphone from a feature phone, you'll have to add one of the new tiered data plans. If you had a data plan on your EnV3, it will not be grandfathered in due to it being a feature phone.

  • Upgrade Question / Frustration

I just left a Verizon Wireless store location and have to be honest, I was pretty frustrated with the service and their unwillingness to basically do anything other than sell me something I wasn't even interested in.  Considering the customer service rep gave pretty much the bare minimum as far as "service" is concerned, I thought I'd see if I can actually get some answers from the Community instead.
Here's my situation - my wife and I bought the original Droid when it first came out close to two years ago.  One of the lines came up for an "annual" upgrade at some point last year but we decided to wait.  I just upgraded that eligible line to an iPhone 4 this morning.  The other line shows that there is an upgrade available July 2nd, including a whopping $50 NE2 credit .
My predicament is that the earpiece/speaker on my Droid is completely shot, basically leaving me with a garbled sound when someone calls.  I was hoping, stupidly I guess, that I could upgrade both lines today to the iPhone since this phone is basically useless at the moment.
When I went to the store, they flat out told me there is "no way whatsoever to move this date up" but "hey, you can upgrade to another Droid."  Not sure why in the world I would upgrade to a completely different phone.  They said something about "we can't move or change contract dates" and "Apple has restricted our ability to change these dates and sell Apple products even a day early."
My question is this, is there absolutely no way to have the upgrade date moved up a few weeks?  It seems pretty ridiculous that I can't upgrade a few weeks early when I'm A) willing to give up my $50 NE2 credit  B) willing to continue my "loyalty" by signing on for another 2-year contract and C) willing to shell out more money for a phone.  I guess I don't see where Verizon is losing out on money here....it's not like I was trying to upgrade back in January when the iPhone 4 was first released.
Do I have any options?  Am I basically stuck with continuing to pay my slightly overpriced service and sit with a broken Droid until early July?
Thanks for any input.  Sorry for the rant.  Just a little frustrated that it appears to be so difficult to spend my money.
    -Adam

Thanks for the quick suggestion mdram4x4.  I gave them a call a bit ago and it sounds like if you're looking to upgrade (sounds like even an hour early) to either an Apple or 4G product you're basically stuck.  Seems like a great way to promote your technology and flagship products
I may give it one more shot and then just stick it out for a few weeks.

  • Anyone else pretty excited? (some small questions)

This is pretty great, I've been waiting for this merger for awhile (like I'm sure a lot of us have been) but I do have some small questions (that probably wont be able to get answered):
    • On the 9th, I'm assuming people will be camping out and what have you. But would EVERY Verizon and Apple store carry the Verizon iPhone on the 10th? I'm assuming no...
    • With the NE2 special ending, even long time customers will no longer be able to use this service, right? Furthermore, does that mean there will be no more annual upgrades, and that everyone must pall full retail (usually $300-$500) for a new phone?
    Thanks~

Furthermore, does that mean there will be no more annual upgrades, and that everyone must pall full retail (usually $300-$500) for a new phone? Existing Customers will have their NE2 option grandfathered for one more use, then after use at upgrade time it's forever gone. Annual upgrades required a minimum service level, so not everyone qualified (I never did, my plans were too cheap to qualify) and upgrades will come at 10 months (1 year contract) or 20 months (2 year contract), same as they are for me now.
    Thanks~

  • AOL Question?

Ok...Im sure this question has been asked, so im sorry for the repeat!  But anyways....
Im on a family plan with my mom and brother and have been for 6 years now...Im due in Feb to upgrade my phone/renew my contract, but here is the deal:
Im wanting to break off onto my own plan b/c when I upgrade my phone I want to upgrade to a smart phone so it will obviously add the cost of the data package. My mom is not really wanting to add that cost to our bill.  So...I have read some things about Assumption of Liability (AOL) and wondered exactly how it worked.  Does it mean that I will have the same costs of having my own account, or do I just pay my portion (the data package, and the part of the family share).
I do know there will be a credit check and possible deposit (even though I hope not because I beleive my credit is good...just dont have THAT much of it)
    Also...
My phone, the Samsung Reality, is cutting out on me...not getting texts....not ringing....ect. I knew at one point verizon allowed users to upgrade to a smartphone for the discounted price even if it wasn't time yet.  Its only 2 months away to get a new phone but i really cant go without a phone (b/c of driving distance to work so on and so forth...) anyone know if Verizon will still allow for early upgrade to a smartphone with contract renewal?
THANKS for reading and helping me out with this!
    -Katlyn

When yoyu do an AOL, yo will have to pick your own plan and addons.  What I would do, is do the AOL now. I think if you are on your own for three months (don't quote me) you may be eligible for NE2 discount after that time. Someone else will know for sure..... SuzyQ??? Where are you......
Also once you have your own plan check on student or employee discounts Verizon offers.

  • NE2 upgrade disappointing. Can I use NE2 upgrade/discount again to exchange for new device?

I just used my New Every Two ("NE2") to upgrade from a Blackberry to the Droid Incredible 2. But frankly, the more I use the Droid, I more I don't like it. It's especially annoying when the battery drains after only an hour on standby. I need reliability, and this isn't it. Plus, it's loaded with apps I have no use for and can't get rid of. It's been a hell of a disappointment honestly since I so wanted to give the Droid a chance over the iPhone (reason being is that I already own several Apple devices including the iPod Touch (4th gen.) and the iPad 2 (WiFi + 3G).
I'd like to get the iPhone 4 instead. So here's my question: If I return my Droid within the 14 days (tomorrow is the 14th day, btw), will I get my NE2 opportunity back in order to apply it to the iPhone 4? I am not a new customer. I've been a loyal one for years, but somehow I think that wouldn't help in this matter.

Make SURE you return it within the 14 day window. You will have to pay a $35 restocking fee so don't be surprised when they charge you for that. But yes, this can be done easily. Just take it back to the store you got it at.

  • How the removal of NE2 affects my upgrades

    Hi All,
Like a vast majority of Verizon costumers, I am ecstatic that the iPhone 4 is coming to Verizon.  I would love to get it a soon as possible, but I will not pay retail price.  I currently have and Envy touch and hate it.  I've had it since August of 2009.  I am not the primary on my plan, that would be my mom.  I guess I'm just extremely confused by whats going on with the Verizon upgrading system.  I would love to qualify for the iPhone update earlier than august....My question is, does the new system affect my upgrade at all, or am i still stuck waiting till August.?

If you updated your phone in Aug 2009 you are eligible for 2 year discounted pricing (NOT the NE2 credit, that is only for the account owner) in April.

  • Transferring using AOL and Upgrade Question

I've done some research and saw that I will need to do an AOL to move to my wife's family plan but I had a question about upgrading. Right now I am eligible for the NE2 but my question is if I decide not to use it (because Droid 3 BOGO would be cheaper) would I still be eligible for an upgrade? Since she has an NE2 option right now too wouldn't it be smart for me to go on her plan and get two Droid 3's for 149.99? I just wouldn't want to move over to her line and lose my upgrade.
Also, since someone else is on my plan currently would they just get put on an individual account?
I'm sure this is somewhere but I wanted to ask because I could no find it! Thank you!

If you want to take advantage of the BOGO offer, you'll want to do the AoL first, as you've described.
When you do the AoL, you will lose your New Every 2 credit, but your line will still be eligible for an upgrade, the contract end date will not change.
I think the BOGO will definitely give you a better value than using your NE2 credit, I say go for it!

  • NE2 and Annual upgrade?

    Okay, here's the situation:
    Line A: 20 mo. into Contract, eligible for NE2. It's a 42$/mo line
Line B: 12 months into Contract. No upgrade.
My question would be, if I'm not mistaken, any line on a family plan that's 49.99$ or greater is eligible for the Annual upgrade. Now, if I add features that put Line A > 49.99$/mo, and Transfer it's NE2 to Line B, and the 12 months from Line B goes onto Line A, would Line A be eligible for an Annual Upgrade because it's at 12 months w/ 49.99$? (IE:
Line A transfers upgrade to Line B, and becomes > 49.99$/mo
    Line A: 12 mos. w/ >49.99$
    Line B: NE2 eligible.
Would Line A then be eligible for Annual?
Sorry if the question is still confusing
Thanks for any and all answers

My question would be, if I'm not mistaken, any line on a family plan that's 49.99$ or greater is eligible for the Annual upgrade. Sorry, ONLY the primary line on a family plan or an indivudual line is eligible for the annual upgrade, and only if the base voice plan is $49.99 or higher.  Family plans start at $69.99 with the base charge for the primary being $60.00, so it would qualify.  Secondary lines are only $9.99 and so do not qualify for the annual upgrade.  Individual lines need a calling plan of 450 Talk & Text, or 900 Talk to qualify.
Now, if I add features that put Line A > 49.99$/mo, It would have to be a CALLING (Talk or Talk & Text) plan of $49.99 or higher - added features don't count.   and Transfer it's NE2 to Line B,Line B would need to become the primary - or do you mean USE the NE2 from to upgrade line 2?  You can do that.  and the 12 months from Line B goes onto Line A, would Line A be eligible for an Annual Upgrade because it's at 12 months w/ 49.99$? (IE:
Line A transfers upgrade to Line B, and becomes > 49.99$/mo  If you use the upgrade from line A to upgrade line B, then line A would renew it's contract and not be eligible for either 12 (annual) or 20 months (NE2).
    Line A: 12 mos. w/ >49.99$
    Line B: NE2 eligible.
Would Line A then be eligible for Annual?  Line A (How do you get $42 for a family plan primary line??  Or is this an individual plan?)  Either way, it has to be on the $49.99 + plan for some period of time before becoming eligible for the annual upgrade discount...and it's already NE2 eligible.  Get the upgrade now.
Sorry if the question is still confusing
Thanks for any and all answers
I think you are trying to get a discount on both lines when only one is eligible at this point.  No amount of manipulating is going to get you two new discounted phones on these two lines right now.
Neither line, as presented, is currently eligible for an annual discount.  Only the NE2 is available now, and it is on Line A.  Line A's contract will be extended if you use the NE2.  If this is a family plan, the NE2 only applies to the primary line.  Even if you switched primary lines, the NE2 and annual discounts still only apply to the primary line on a family plan.  Secondary lines get two year renewal pricing, but not annually, and no additional NE2 credit.
Hope I've cleared up some of the confusion.

  • Questions on Print Quote report

    Hi,
I'm fairly new to Oracle Quoting and trying to get familiar with it. I have a few questions and would appreciate if anyone answers them
    1) We have a requirement to customize the Print Quote report. I searched these forums and found that this report can be defined either as a XML Publisher report or an Oracle Reports report depending on a profile option. Can you please let me know what the name of the profile option is?
    2) When I select the 'Print Quote' option from the Actions drop down in the quoting page and click Submit I get the report printed and see the following URL in my browser.

Does it mean that the profile in our case is set to call the rdf since it has reference to ASOPQTEL.rdf in the above url?
    3) When you click on submit button do we have something like this in the jsp code: On click call ASOPQTEL.rdf. Is the report called using a concurrent program? I want to know how the report is getting invoked?
    4) If we want to customize the jsp pages can you please let me know the steps involved in making the customizations and testing them.
    Thanks and Appreciate your patience

  • Satellite P300D-10v - Question about warranty

    HI EVERYBODY
I have these overheating problems with my laptop Satellite P300D-10v.
I did everything I could do to fix it without any success..
I get the latest update of the bios from Toshiba. I cleaned my lap with compressed air first and then disassembled it all and cleaned it better.(it was really clean insight though...)
BUT unfortunately the problem still exists...
So i made a research on the internet and I found out that most of Toshiba owners have the same exactly problem with their laptop.
Well i guess this is a Toshiba bug for many years now.
Its a really nice lap, cool sound (the best in laptop ever) BUT......
So I wanted to make a question. As i am still under warranty, can i return this laptop and get my money back or change it with a different one????
If any body knows PLS let me know.
    chears
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
I have already found you other threads.
    Regarding the warranty question;
If there is something wrong with the hardware then the ASP in your country should be able to help you.
The warranty should cover every reparation or replacement.
But I read that you have disasembled the laptop at your own hand... hmmm if you have disasembled the notebook then your warrany is not valid anymore :(
I think this should be clear for you that you can lose the warrany if you disasemble the laptop!
By the way: you have to speak with the notebook dealer where you have purchased this notebook if you want to return the notebook
The Toshiba ASP can repair and fix the notebook but you will not get money from ASP.

i was messing around and came up with this. it doesnt remove the null, but if it is null it adds ABC beside it. so i think i might be getting close. i just need to figure out how to replace the null.
    code]
    <b><%=request.getParameter("steptwoFour") %></b>
         <% if (request.getParameter("steptwoFour") == null ) {
         %>
         <% out.print("abc"); %>
         <% }
         %>

  • Anyone know how to remove Overdrive books from my iphone that have been transferred from my computer? They do not show up on itunes. I see a lot of answers to this question but they all are based on being able to see the books in iTunes.

How do I remove Overdrive books from the library that were downloaded onto my computer then transferred to my iphone? The problem is that they do not show up in iTunes.
I see this question asked a lot when I google, but they always give answers that assumes you can find the books in iTunes either under the books tab, or the audio books tab or in the music. They do not show up anywhere for me. They do not remove from the app like the ones I downloaded directly onto my iphone.the related archived article does not answer it either.  I even asked a guy working at an apple store and he could not help either.   Anybody...?
    Thanks!

there is an app called daisydisk on mac app store which will help you see exactly where the memory is focused and consumed try using that app and see which folders are using more memory
