Need explanation output command "/opt/SUNWexplo/bin/explorer"

Dear IT Experts,
I run Explorer in solaris 8, by executing command "/opt/SUNWexplo/bin/explorer".
From this command, I got a tar file and a directory.
If I do not make mistake, I think that the directory contain of system configuration.
But, I am confused to check it one by one.
Could anybody tell me what the important things should I Check from the Explorer output?
So I can make sure that there is no problem in my system.

You would typically check entries in /var/adm/messages as a start. Look mainly for any error messages in that log file.
Check out the output of :
/usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -vThis will tell you whether there are warning lights on, failed PSUs, etc.
Note that for the newer systems such as T2000 servers, the architecture has changed to "sun4v" so it's better to run uname -m :
/usr/platform/`uname -m`/sbin/prtdiag -vIf you have a multi-NIC setup, check status of each NIC (ifconfig -a) and any errors on the network (netstat -i).
Check for disk errors using "iostat -En".
I'm sure others will be volunteering other checks.

That document clearly states that any communication about that software tool needs to go to the email alias that is provided in that InfoDoc.
All other communications to anywhere else (such as to this forum) will be ignored.
Though if you had read the Explorer FAQ or its User Guide, you would have your answer as to where the output files might be. The FAQ and the U.G. are also linked in the README InfoDoc.

PHP & ImageMagick & /opt/local/bin

I have been looking for hours and can't find a solution that works to this.
From the command line I can use ImageMagicks "convert image.jpg image.gif" command for example, but when I try to include it as an exec command inside a php script it says "convert: command not found".
To make it work I need to specify the /opt/local/bin/convert full path to "convert".
I have added the path to my PATH env, but it still doesn't get picked up by Apache and PHP and work.
Can anyone help me with this one?

I've been all over the internet trying to find a solution to this problem -- this post is the closest thing I've found to a solution, but I'm still not quite there. What I'm trying to do is process a .tex document into a .dvi file which in turn gets converted to postscript (.ps) document. The last step is to use imagemagick's "convert" to transform the .ps file into a .png file and I'm done. I'm calling everything from PHP.
When I originally tried it, I didn't include the full paths -- everything worked, except the "convert" program. After poking around on the 'net (and reading this suggested solution), I included the full paths (see below). Again -- everything works, except the last "convert" step.

/usr/local/texlive/2008/bin/universal-darwin/latex myLatex.tex
# Convert .dvi file into .ps document:
/usr/local/texlive/2008/bin/universal-darwin/dvips -E myLatex.dvi -o myLatex.ps

It works great in Terminal, so I wrote it up as a tcsh shell script. The shell script does what it should from Terminal but when called from PHP, it only executes the first two programs (latex and dvips) but not convert. I can't seem to locate any log files to troubleshoot this further.
Any and all ideas welcome. Why does LaTeX work but not convert? Why does dvips work but not convert? Thanks in advance !

Use the command "Properties" in Windows Explorer to unlock the file

I'm getting this error where, when I start Photoshop, I get a popup saying "Cannot load Photoshop because the file is locked or you don't have the needed privileges.. Use the command "Properties" in Windows Explorer to unlock the file". I unlocked it's access to everyone for the 64-bit and the 32-bit version, still doesn't work. The only way to make it work is by going in Program Files>Adobe>Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64-bit) and manually starting it as an administrator.
Everything was working just fine until today. Please help!

If this worked before, and you have made no hardware or software changes you might want to reset the preferences.
Start photoshop and IMMEDIATELY hold down the Alt + Ctrl + shift keys. It is a little tricky but keep trying until you get a reset window.

Compilation error, no /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc on Solaris 10 64bit(x86)

I was trying to compile Apache mod_jk on Solaris 10 64bit platform(x86) and I got the following error. I checked my system and I do not have /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc. Any suggestions how to solve it?

SUNWspro is sun studio. Its a free download from the sun site. So you could just install that.
Alternatively, Solaris ships with gcc already installed. But apxs is trying to be clever and compile mod_jk with the same compiler that was used to compile the rest of apache.
It would probably work with gcc, but I'm not sure how you would persuade apxs to use gcc instead.

You need to find the java exceptions - most likely in the logs in the /var/log/webconsole/console directory.
A wild guess is you don't have enough swap space to perform a fork.

I've solved the issue, but it required a hard reset.
Some said it was because I installed XCode outside of the App Store, or because the simluator was buggy, or because XCode was pointing at the wrong version of the Simulator, or a resoruce was missing a target membership, or whatever. I tried all of that.
I downloaded XCode from the App Store, re-installed the Simulators, and still no luck. So I just rolled back my repository to an earlier date, and lost some work in the process. Not much though, because I always commit little and often.
Since ever starting to use storyboards back in 2011, I have always committed little AND OFTEN. Storyboard are fragile.

Need report output same as its show in the previewer in the (.txt and .xls) format

I need an output file(in text and excel format) generated from the report builder exactly in same format as it shows in the Report previewer.
it should include all the labels as well as the data.

Hi Dharam
You can create text file output as seen on Live Previewer by generating to Text (File->Generate to File->Text). Ensure that you run Builder with the following command line parameter:
MODE=CHARACTER
If the Builder mode is not character (BITMAP), it will generate PostScript file if you do a File->Generate to File->Text.
You can create Excel format output from Reports with Delimited output (File->Generate to File->Delimited). In the ensuing dialog box, choose comma (,) as the delimiter to obtain a CSV file. Export this file in Excel.

AM Session Failover - /opt/SUNWam/bin/amsfo stop not working

I have configured AM session failover. I have verified that server is listening on 7777. However as soon I try to stop smsfo, it is giving error.

looks like the script is trying to execute your hostnames as a command. Be sure to properly enclose all the script values in quotations (""). Also add set -x to the script for further troubleshooting

I need to output a PAL HDV project from FCP as a PAL DV file with 4 audio t

I need to output a PAL HDV project from FCP as a PAL DV file with 4 audio tracks - specifically one stereo pair to be t1&t3, the other stereo pair to be t2&t4. This is the standard way requested by an international distributor of tv programmes. I understand how to set the sequence in FCP to output 4 audio tracks - either 2 stereo pairs (1&2, + 3&4), or 4 discrete tracks. But how do I then output this as a QT file?
The manual tells me that to export multiple audio tracks, File>Export>QT Movie has it's Config pop-up menu in the Audio Settings area of the General tab of the Sequence Settings. Well, that's set for 4 discrete channels, but the QT export settings only allow for 2 mono or 1 stereo output, and that's what I get when I try it. What it says in the manual just doesn't happen.
Exporting via Compressor, on the other hand, has an abundance of choices of 4-track outputs, none of which are labelled as anything resembling 'discrete'. Would any of those 4.0 settings suffice? Or am I likely to get myself into difficulties further down the line? As I am monitoring for this task on a 2-track audio system, I cannot confirm exactly what I am getting when I use any of those settings.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Call me naive, but I've not heard of splitting the stereo pairs like this before.
What broadcaster? (perhaps one of our EU regulars will drop in...)
You can do all sorts of pairing but it is coincident tracks pairing- eg 1/2 + 3/4

Need smartform output in different languages

Hi expert,
Can you please let me know how can I see the output of a smartform in different languages. I'm seeing the output of a sales order. I have three output types . ZZAC,ZZ00, ZZ01. The smarform is developed with the language attributes of Translate into all languages. Is it required to convert the forms in SE63? or there are other ways we can see it.
I need the output in all the languages like FR,EN,DE,IT,ES ,EN etc.

HI,
Try This... hope it will solve your problem....
To maintain the translations:
1. Go to transaction SE63 in R/3. Go to menu Translation->R/3 Enterprise->Other Long Texts.
2. Select the object type in the pop up. Smartform (SSF) object type is found under Forms and Styles(FS).
3. Enter the name of the Smart form and choose the source and target language(Let the Source Language be 'EN'). Now Click on 'EDIT'.
4. This would open a screen with the Smartform code in Source language on the top and an editor with the same code in the bottom. Find the text for which you need to maintain the translation and insert the translation in that place.
As usual after required texts are maintained Save and Activate.
To see the translated Smartform create an output type and assign the smartform and the driver program to this output type. In the transaction that sends output to this smartform, select the output type and select the language in which the smartform has to be displayed (translations have to be maintained in this language).This will give the smartform in the required language.
