Need help while Horizontal clustering
Hi All
I need help while creating horizontal clustering as I have below setup :-
1 windows machine
1 solaris machine
Over solaris machine my domain is active at directory /bea/wls/wls10.3.3/ . In this domain i have a cluster with 2 managed server. Now i want to create a managed server over windows machine and want to administer that from solaris machine admin server.
Can someone please help me with a step by step approiach for this. As i saw some posts but they say that while using pack and unpack commands the direcotry structure should be same which is not possible in my case.Please suggest

Hi Sharad,
It is not mandatory to have the NodeManager for Horizontal Clustering. If you dont want to use NodeManager then do the following for Horizontal Clustering:
1.. Create 2-3 Managed Servers from AdminConsole. Suppose 3 Managed Servers MS1,MS2,MS3 …which u want to run on 3 Different Physical Boxes.
2.. Install WebLogic and JDK exactly same Identical Locations in the Managed Server Boxes as well… sothat the JAVA_HOME and WL_HOME and BEA_HOME directories will be same in all the Physical Boxes.
3.. Now Use the “pack/unpack” BEA utility to make the domain zip
if you use ”Pack/Unpack” weblogic utility to do this. By doing this you can ensure that you will never get invalid (domain salt file not found) Or Many Security & SSL Handshake related errors kind of error while starting your ManagedServer remotely. (for detail of Pack/Unpack commands)

4.. Now Whenever u want to start the Managed Servers go inside the “<DOMAIN_HOME>\bin” and then run the “startManagedWebLogic.sh” like folowing
If you want to use Nodemanager in this case then go with nmEnroll option to enroll your machine.
Open a Shell/command prompt in Box-B and then run setWLSEnv.sh/setWLSEnv.cmd
Then Enroll the Nodemanager using WLST command…

Above command will Enroll the Nodemanager of Box-B in Domain (MyDomainOne) created in Box-A
--> Start Nodemanager in Box-B
--> Login to AdminConsole of Box-A and then check that the Machine-2 Nodemanager is showing “reachable” or “incative”…Ideally Now it should be ‘Reachable’
--> Login to AdminConsole and Now Create a Cluster and add these both Managed Servers In that Cluster.
--> Now start Both Managed Servers through AdminConsole.

Can you post a screenshot of the timeline you are trying to convert. It will help in accurate response.
You would probably need to do it in two step:
- Have the graphic timeline converted into Datalist element, and make the data repeatable.
- Create a Horizontal Scrollbar component and add it to the datalist component (timeilne)
- If you have the Horizontal scrollbar designed, then select it and convert it to a Horizontal Scroll component (using the HUD - the black overlay that comes up when you select a graphic element)
- After conversion you would need to define the parts of the H. Scrollbar (Track, thumb, right button, left button). Note: It helps if you designed your H. Scrollbar with these components in AI/PSD.
- Now come back to the artboard, and select the H. Scrollbar by clicking on it.
- Cut the H. Scrollbar
- Click the Datalist element, and go to Edit Parts (in HUD)
- Paste the H . Scrollbar inside the Datalist element. This will attach the scrollbar to the data.

Need help with horizontal accordian panels
Hi,
I'm wondering how I would re-create a horizontal accordian panel set, such as the one used in this website link, "http://www.thecapriapts.com/".
When I insert a "spry accordian" panel set, the panels are stacked on top of each other. I guess you would consider that a "vertical" accordian. Is it possible to manipulate the CSS to have it display horizontally, like the link I attached? Or.. is this a common javascript that I sould look into?

ChrisWith spry, there are two different kinds you can use: horizontal and vertical. What you're looking at in that site is horizontal. Usually, it appears as rectangles placed next to each other with the spry flying out below. In DW, you can go to your CSS rules for your spry menu and change the width and height of your boxes in your spry, depending upon which rule you have selected. Play around with that and see if you can just manipulate the horizontal accordian spry to where the rectangles end up being tall and thin. This will make it difficult, however, to get the text on its side like you see in that site. I'm not sure how you would go about doing that. But I would suggest trying to play around with the values in your CSS styles panel on the right (this is me looking at CS5 mind you. I'm not sure what you're running.)
Either way, for times sake and also readability, might I respectfully suggest playing around with other sprys to see if any look more aesthetically pleasing for your site? It would also make it a lot simpler to tweak to your liking. -

while creating IC assign the characteristics to the dimension.
is there any proposed rule for assinging the char to dimension or i can assign randomly.

You should assign related characteristics to the same dimension.
Ex: salesregion, sales off and sales rep to the same dimension say " sales".
I.e., when the characteristics have some relationship like <b>one to many</b> you should assign them in the same dimension.
Take an ex of customerid and prodid..they have many to many relationship.In such case go for separate dimensions.
And if the characteristic is of type salesorder which has many distinct entries in fact table, go for line item dimensions.
<b>Note:</b> In line item dimension, you can include only one characteristic.

I need help with Mavricks Server, I get the following: an error occurred while configuring your server. I have deleted the Server.app several times along with the associated com.apple and Server folder. Any more help would be appreciated.
There are usually some log files around, related to the installation. See if Console.app (Applications > Utilities) shows anything relevant to the error, when you've done a fresh install of Server.app and tried the configuration.

Shawn StopperIt appears you have the accessibility VoiceOver feature turned on.
Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see the following for how to turn off via iTunes:

Need Help/Advice with Photo Web Gallery coming from SQL Database
This is my first attempt at a database driven website. I assume what I am trying to accomplish should be fairly easy for more experienced but I am stuck at this point.
First, let me explain what I am trying to accomplish.
I want to create a thumbnail photo gallery displayed in columns and rows. I want to be able to hover over or click on the thumbnail image and have a lightbox script display the image over the thumb page. I am developing locally right now with intent to upload to the hosting site upon completion.
I am developing with ASP vbScript pages. I have an SQL database where the paths to the image thumbnails and pictures are stored in a table. On the gallery page, I have created a div tag to hold my image recordset. Within this div, I have inserted 3 absolute positioned divs to hold the pictureID, the pictureName and the image inserted as a datasource. I then inserted the information from the bindings panel of my recordset. Last, I used a horizontal looper extension from Tom Muck to get the thumbnails to display in columns and rows. Everything works up to this point just fine.
Now, I want to be able to hover or click on a thumnail image and have it displayed in a lightbox. I downloaded and used a javascript called Lightbox 2 which contains 3 javascript files and a css stylesheet. I inserted the files into the head tag like instructed to but could not get things to work properly. Here is where I need help. Currently, I am clicking on the thumbImage binding within the image Div and creating a link holder. I am then binding the larger pictureImage to it with the a.href selected in the bind to. I am then adding the command to call the lightbox javascript. Now, when I test my page, my thumbnail images do not show up (my alt text does in its place) but the links are in place and you can click on the alt text and it will return the correct larger image, but not in the lightbox, just in a new window with no styles.
Am I going about this correctly? Can you use lightbox scripts with data-driven galleries? Does anybody have any suggestions of what I may be doing wrong or missing? Are there better ways to go about accomplishing this?
Any help would be appreciated as this dynamic data thing has my head spinning. Although I know a database is needed to simplify the update and maintenance of the photos while allowing them to be searchable by keywords and tags also set up in the database.
ThanksAs I explained, I am developing locally a the moment. I will see about getting the databased moved up to the hosting server and then provide a link for an example.
In the mean time, can you or anyone else explain a way that you would go about displaying an image thumbnail photo gallery laid out in rows / columns, with any lighbox script that would overlay the larger image over the existing page instead of opening a new browser window?
I don't have to use the method I tried to describe.
In all of the lightbox examples I have looked at thus far, they give instructions on how to append that javascript to a single static image or a group of static images, not images from a datasource. That is where I am getting confused.

Need help on Crosstab in WebI 4.0
Hello All,
I need help on how to arrange the Crosstab to have the below in WebI. The data is in InfoCube is at 0CALDAY & 0CALMONTH.
The Cost & Quantity of the system date (7/7) should be displayed and the averages will be for that Calendar Month (07/2014).
While creating the Crosstab, I kept the Product Category & Plant on Horizontal Axis and it displays as expected, but how to
arrange 'Cost on system date 7/7', 'Average Cost', 'Quantity on system date 7/7' and 'Average Quantity' fields in Crosstab.
First I tried by keeping them on Vertical Axis and it didn't work. Later I tried by keeping them in Body Axis also it didn't work.
How could I create the WebI to display like the below, please ?

I guess you are using Text variables to get cost(on 7/7).. and you have 4 different keyfigures.
Use below structure to get the desired output .
You need to hard code your keyfigure texts in webi .
Drag cross tab.
place product and plant in horizantal axis.
in first row add ="cost on" + formula to populate calday and cal month
Right click -> Insert row below . add Avg cost.... -
Weird error message need help..
SO.. i havent updated my itunes in a while because i keep getting this weird message.. it comes up when im almost done installing the newest/newer versions of itunes. it says
"the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" "click ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below"
now when ever i choose a file from the browse box it replies with this message "the file 'xxx' is not a valid installation package for the product iTunes. try to find the installation package iTunes.msi in a folder from which you can install iTunes."

With that one, let's try the following procedure.
First, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. If it goes, good. If it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to iTunes.
Next, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility:
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
Now launch Windows Installer CleanUp ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"), find any iTunes and/or QuickTime entries in the list of programs in CleanUp, select those entries, and click “remove”.
Next, we'll manually remove any leftover iTunes or QuickTime program files:
(1) Open Local Disk (C:) in Computer or whichever disk programs are installed on.
(2) Open the Program Files folder.
(3) Right-click the iTunes folder and select Delete and choose Yes when asked to confirm the deletion.
(4) Right-click the QuickTime folder and select Delete and choose Yes when asked to confirm the deletion. (Note: This folder may have already been deleted if QuickTime was successfully removed using Add/Remove Programs earlier.)
(5) Delete the QuickTime and QuicktimeVR files located in the C:\Windows\system32\ folder. Click Continue if Windows needs confirmation or permission to continue. (Note: These files may have already been deleted if QuickTime was successfully removed using Add/Remove Programs earlier.)
(6) Right-click on the Recycle Bin and on the shortcut menu, click Empty Recycle Bin.
(7) Restart your computer.
Now try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly now? -
I got new hard driver for my MacBook I don't have the cd but I do have flash drive that has the software I need help because when I turn on my laptop it shows me a file with question mark how can I install the software from the flash driver?
Hold down the Option key while you boot your Mac. Then, it should show you a selection of devices. Click your flash drive and it will boot from that.
