As the name suggests Web Dynpro for ABAP uses exactly the same meta model as its cousin Web Dynpro for Java. A Web Dynpro component, a Web Dynpro view, a Web Dynpro model, a Web Dynpro controller have the same semantics both for ABAP and Java. The main difference is the designtime environment, the development infrastructure and the runtime environment.
The designtime environment is properly embedded in the ABAP Workbench where Web Dynpro artifacts are simply a new category like BSP applications or classical dynpro based applications before. Also no surprises regarding the development infrastructure. The correction and transport system keeps track on all changes that are done, versions them and helps to propagate the Web Dynpro application from development to production like you would do with ordinary BSP or dynpro-based applications.
Last not least the execution platform is the ABAP server that produces application content ready to be integrated in the NetWeaver Portal seamlessly. Features like portal eventing can be used between applications written in ABAP or applications developed with Java.

Wait not just that SAP has provided you with ample demo example of WD ABAP already bundled with SAP . Just Try out Components starting with WDR . I can tell you few like WDR_TEST_EVENTS ( It shows how every UI elments to use )

Need some training material on clustering

I am an HP UNIX administrator and I am increasing my skills on solaris nowadays. I have worked with MC service guard on hpux, what do we use for clustering in solaris environment.
Can some one please provide me some notes or a quick start for clustering in solaris environment?

The product you'd use is Solaris Cluster which can be downloaded from here or the open source version which you can find here.
You can even run this in a VirtualBox on a PC to gain experience of it in a single node configuration. There are various blogs describing this out there.

Need some help on Depreciation on SAP

Our company has just installed the Fixed Asset piece in SAP and I am very new at it.
I ran the May depreciation in June which at that point SAP May is still open. After I ran the depreciation and all the entries posted. We closed May. and We are looking at depreciation on May and find out what pull up from SAP is different $$ for what I have printed back then. Do some research and found out 1 piece of fixed asset, the AP lady put in wrong vendor, without let us know, she reverse the invoice document on the wrong vendor and re do the invoice document under the correct vendor in June. and I do not understand is May is closed and the reverse document reversed in May and the new document is created in June, so that fixed asset is showing $0 when I pull up the report now but on the report that I do a depreciation run has an amount in it?
Can anyone tell me what I should do if next time same situation happen so the depreciation is not mess up?
Also since I am new at this, can anyone suggest where I can find more reading materials for this will help, I also need some reading material for AUC too. I have the BPP that the SAP consultant left me, but they only tell me how to do the procedure and it is not detail, if you follow the step and it come out like the instruction is said everything is fine, but if it does not, it did not show you how to trouble shoot and help to fix problem.

Hi,
When the invoice was reversed, it would also show a reversed posting for depreciation. So you may need to open May again and do a repeat run of depreciation and this should reverse the depreciation of this particular posting.

Need some help understanding the way materialized views are applied through

Hi, I need some help understanding the way materialized views are applied through adpatch.
In patch 1, we have a mv with build mode immediate. When applying it PTS hang due to pool performance of mv refresh.
So we provide patch 2, with that mv build mode deferred, hoping it'll go through. But patch 2 hang too on the same mv.
How does this work? Is that because mv already exists in the database with build immediate, patch 2 will force it to refresh first before changing build mode? How to get over this?

Patch 1 is MSC11510: 8639586 ASCP ENGINE RUP#38 PATCH FOR 11.5.10 BRANCH
Patch 2 is MSC11510: 9001833 APCC MSC_PHUB_CUSTOMERS_MV WORKER IS STUCK ON "DB FILE SEQUENTIAL READ" 12 HOURS
The MV is APPS.MSC_PHUB_CUSTOMERS_MV
This happens at customer environment but not reproducable in our internal environment, as our testing data is much smaller.
Taking closer look in the logs, I saw actually when applying both patch 1 and patch 2, MV doesn't exist in the database. So seems my previous assumption is wrong. Still, strange that patch 2 contains only one file which is the MV.xdf, it took 7 hours and finally got killed.

Properties File - need some help

hello, Im trying to figure out how to work with the Properties class. I think it can handle what i'm trying to accomplish. Maybe someone can point me in the direction of some rookie material to read. But anyway heres my dilemma. I need to create some form of structured message that can be saved (properties file), but i don't know how to structure it in the way specified.
For example, say the message has 3 fields: ID(unsigned int), TIME(unsigned long int), and SIZE(unsigned int)
I want ID to take up the first 2-bytes of the message, TIME to take the next 4, and SIZE have the remaing 4. Whats the best way to create this? I'm new to this stuff, and looking for some direction...i don't know where to start

Take a look at the API docs for java.io.DataOutputStream and java.io.DataInputStream. If you are serializing these to the filesystem, you will want to wrap a java.io.FileOutputStream and java.io.FileInputStream with the appropriate data stream type.

I Need Some Materials Urgently

 The Ad-hoc Reporting reporting type is primarily used as a quick and simple way of creating specific reports that, as a rule, are not needed more than once.
Ad-hoc Reporting is available in both the global and standard query areas.
You can also save queries for Ad-hoc Reporting. In the global query area, these queries are always saved in a temporary development class. There is no communication with the Workbench Organizer.
In the standard query area, queries can only be transported with the tools designed for it.

I need some detail solutions and suggests about below these problems:
Problem 1: SAP Management Console cannot start successfully
 Problem 1.1: Click on SAP Management Console, but yellow light continues for a long period of time.
 Problem 1.2: In DOS, startsap command cannot start SAP R/3.
 Problem 1.3: Oracle 9i database automatically shutdown by itself.
 Problem 1.4: There is very low disk storage left (say less than 50MB) in the hard disk where Oracle 9i database is installed in the server.
Problem 2: Problems in User Maintenance and Security of the SAP R/3 System
 Problem 2.1: Super user account password was lost (e.g. SAP* password was lost)
 Problem 2.2: Super users DDIC and SAP* were dropped in table usr02 in Oracle.
 Problem 2.3: Some users have been locked or deleted by an ABAP programmer who has been granted with almost superuser profiles. For example, an ABAP programmer has been granted a profile of SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW but the system administrator would like to restrict all programmers form using SU01, SU02, SM01, so that no programmers can maintain other user's accounts.
Problem 3: Problems in the configuration of client copy
 Problem 3.1: A copied client from the Client 000 cannot be customized.
 Problem 3.2: No sample data in IDES after a successful client copy.
 Problem 3.3: Logging on without being authorized. A new client is created and client copied and transported successfully. However, anyone can log into the system using user SAP* with the default password PASS.
Problem 4: Problems in the installation of SAP R/3 Server
 Problem 4.1: Computer Name of the SAP R/3 server has been changed after the full installation of Oracle 9i and SAP R/3.
 Problem 4.2: A network card of a server was faulty and it was replaced by a new network card but the SAP R/3 license was expired.
 Problem 4.3: You would like to reinstall SAP R/3 on a server which has previously installed with SAP R/3 but the same error message appears during the re-installation.
Problem 5: Problems in the backup and recovery of Oracle 9i Database
 Problem 5.1: A redo log file was lost and the database could not be started.
 Problem 5.2: A group of data files were accidentally deleted and the database could not be started.
 Problem 5.3: Both the online redo log files and archived redo log files have been damaged.
Problem 6: General problems regarding the general operations and the connection to the SAP R/3 System
 Problem 6.1: After a reboot of the Windows 2003 Server, SAP service is not automatically started.
 Problem 6.2: Some users complained that the performance of SAP R/3 is really very slow.
 Problem 6.3: A user complained that his/her password was correct but he/she could not lock on the client because it was locked.

2.1 If user account of the sap* is lost u can retrive by loging into os level as sidadm type this command
DELETE SAP<sid>.USR02 where BNAME='SAP*' AND MANDT=100
This 100 is the client in which u want to delete the sap*
after that restart the server and login as sap* with the default password as pass

I got my artwork and saved it to my Desktop
Opened up Microsoft Paint and clicked on "File" and "Open" and found it to get it on the screen to resize it
Clicked "resize" and a box for changing it opened up
Checked the box "Pixels" and "Unchecked maintain aspect ratio"
Set Horizontal for 640 and Vertical for 480
Clicked on "OK" and went back to "File" and did a "Save As" and chose JPEG Picture
It came up "File Already Existed" and clicked "OK" (really did not care about the original artwork I found because wrong size)
Went to iTunes and on the movie right clicked on "Get Info", clicked on "Details", then "Artwork"
Go to the little box on the top left that shows your old artwork and click on it to get the little blue border to appear around it and hit "Delete" to make it gone
Click on "Add Artwork" and find it where you put the one from above on your Desktop and hit "Open" and OK and your new artwork is now there and all good.
Sounds like a lot of steps to follow but after around 5 or so you will fly through it. This worked perfect on my iPhone 6 Plus and I have artwork on my Home Videos now.
