i need my Alcatel one touch X520 USB Modem to the supportet devices on the Cisco RV2150W Router.
My Location is Germany
and ISP is German T-Mobile / German Telekom
I also attached the Driver/Software wich is on the Stick.

As per the below USB compatibility list; I see no Alcatel USB modem is currently supported for T-Mobile Germany on RV215 routers;

How can I use an Airport Extreme to act as a Range Extender for an Alcatel One Touch Y800Z WiFi modem/router? As we live in a rural area and our landline broadband speeds are awful, I have moved on to a 3G provider in the UK (EE/Orange) and set up the wireless modem which is working very well with an iMac. I have an Airport Extreme base station which was previously connected with an Ethernet cable to the landline router, and two Airport Express stations as Range Extenders. I would now like to use the Airport Extreme and the two Express stations to extend the range of the Alcatel WiFi device. I have tried automatic and manual set up with the Airport Utility but at the crucial step for selecting a network to extend, although the WiFi device is recognised, I get a message saying it cannot be extended.

This is a problem with a lot of cheap end wifi hotspot like devices.. sometimes you can just swap the sim out to a real 3G wireless router.. that is a better approach IMHO than wireless repeater ever will be.
In the meantime..
Have a go with the suggestion.. place the express as wireless bridge. With a computer connected to the wifi from alcatel unit.. (I am amazed Alcatel still are in domestic market.. I thought they sold out). Set the express to join the wifi.. you do this in the airport utility.. old one is easy.. but in v6 you have to trust to luck so to speak and hope the auto setup works.. tell us if you have trouble.
With the Express bridging.. you can then plug it by ethernet into the TC.. which will be in router bridge..
ie
You can then run the connection from wireless or ethernet on the TC.. and it will relay back to the alcatel for internet.. all a bit dodgy but who knows.. it may give you what you need.
Wireless repeater is never particularly reliable in my experience. I would avoid it if possible.

I'm trying to build B2G for alcatel one touch fire. after cloning B2G I ran BRANCH=v2.0 ./config.sh hamachi and then on running ./build.sh I get the following:

My Question: Will this smartphone further be supported by Firefox OS?
Even there are already higher Firefox OS versions available for other devices,
nothing has changed so far for my device :-(

AEBSn + Alcatel Speed Touch Home ADSL modem

I just bought one of the new Airport Express 802.11n base stations, and I can't get it to connect to the internet through an Alcatel Speed Touch Home ADSL modem. This modem works flawlessly with my Airport Express router (and with previous routers) using PPPoE.
I've configured the new AEBSn exactly in the same way, I can access it wirelessly, but it seems to hang during the PPPoE negotiation - it shows "Connected" for a few seconds, but I've never been able to even ping any addresses outside my network. I'm stumped - has anyone been able to get this combo working?

Maxtor One Touch II USB/firewire Ext HD won't mount

The drive shows up on the bus, but does not mount, and also does not show up with Disk Utility. I've taken it to the Apple Genius Bar and they couldn't find the problem, and said they only had 15 minutes to dedicate to me anyway. The drive didn't show on their MBP either. I've had this connected to my G4 for the past year, with no problem, and it still functions just fine there.
As another note, my Canon G6 Powershot, which has previously mounted on this machine (The MBP) via USB, no longer does. I can download photos directly into Iphoto, but the drive never mounts to the desktop.
I've tried both the USB and Firewire options with my external, with the same results. I need to download my photos from the MBP to the external, as it's getting pretty full. I noticed in another forum that FWT mode was not working with non-Intel macs prior to 10.3.9. but it's still not working between my G4 and the MBP.
I know there are several issues here, but was hoping someone could help me sort them out if I dump the whole scenario.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have a one touch II that I purchased to use to backup and store files for my mbp.
Mine mounted correctly, but the one touch button did not work. After trying to fix it myself, I called the Maxtor tech support, and they said that they don't support using their drives or their software with intel based macs. Of course they only told me that after spending a long time on the phone.
So the only advice I can give to you is to not try Maxtor's tech support; it will be a waste of time.
Or perhaps your USB ports are broken and need to be replaced on your mbp.

HP 1510 All-In-One vs Apple USB Modem

An Apple Store sold our client an Intel-based 15-inch MacBook Pro along with a HP 1510 All-In-One printer and an Apple USB Modem.
When trying to connect to the internet with the modem, the computer freezes. Our authorized Apple service provider (not the Apple Store) determined that there is a conflict between the modem driver and the HP driver. Deleting the HP driver resolved the problem. The Apple Store was clueless.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there a fix?

HP provided the solution -- an updated driver.

I Need to create a dial-up for USB Modem please

I am working in Bagdad as a pilot. Had to buy a Axesstel wireless 3G desktop phone to get internet. Unfortunately this phone has no MAC support and I have to use XP (situated on a second partition). It works fine if I run XP only, but I cannot dial-up through fusion, from apple side. I am convinced that you guys might know how I can create my own dial-up in Leopard. You should be able to call the iPad using your Apple ID from the iPhone. When calling from iPad use the iPhone's phone number to initiate the call.

But When i attached with router that modem not working because of USB module file . Please update and send us ZTE AC2792 USB module file so we can use that modem and enjoy internet speed .

Hi Udayraj. Unfortunately, cellular Internet access here in the US is not as prevalent as it is there in India. Hence, there probably won't be any update to the router anytime soon. My suggestion would be to use a supported usb modem or to get a different router to connect to the modem and then connect that router to the rv215. Good luck!

Orange USB Modem with "Mobile Partner" connects but won't load pages

All,
I talked Orange Telecom into giving me a free trial with one of their USB modems. I plugged the modem into my MB Pro, installed the "Mobile Partner" software and configured the connection settings as specified by the Tech. I am able to connect fine using the device, however, it will not allow me to receive data, so I am unable to load web pages. The connection says that I am sending data, but not receiving anything. Any ideas on what I need to do in order to successfully receive data?
Current Settings are as follows:
Connection: Orange
APN: orange.ug
Phone Number: *99#
user: orange
password: orange
with these settings I am able to connect fine, but no data is received. I am guessing this has something to do with a setting in Network Preferences, but I can't figure out why it's not working. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sig - thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I was sitting with the Tech rep when we configured the settings, so we are both sure the phone number was right. Additionally, I am connecting and I can see that information is being "sent," however the problem is that no information is being "received" so I am unable to load web pages, etc.
It must be some sort of problem with the network settings in Mac OS because there does not appear to be any problem connecting to the service, the problem has been receiving information. Any other suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Transfer HI8 to One Touch DVD, Need suggestions!

Hey everyone, I have a Hi8 Sony Cam that I have prob 60 tapes of home movies for (Yes I know my dad filmed everything)! I want to first tell you my ultimate goal is to transfer all of these tapes onto DVD's over the course of the next year or so. I want un compressed video and audio, I would like it to be in the same quality that it is on tape just straight across onto DVD. I would like to fit 60 or 120 min on a single DVD-R which I know a single layer can hold. All these movies have been recorded on HI8 or Digital 8 tape, all are 60 min long, and recorded in SP mode.
Anyway, I wanted to ask some opinions here, I just transfered the first tape, capture if you will into iMovie. It is 12G big, and is taking forever to convert as I am exporting it in hopes to burn it to a DVD. Isnt there an easier way? I found the One touch iDVD, and it says you plug your camcorder in, launch that and it transfers it directley to a DVD, that sounds right! But, what if I wanted to add some more footage after that, Does it finalise the DVD after its done burning? I have some family trips that are several tapes long 200 hours+ on some of them. I would love to fit 2 HI8 tapes totaling 120 min on one DVD R but if it finalizes the DVD when its done thats not going to work for me..
Does this make scene? I hope so.. I don't have any intentions of editing the video, I just want to transfer straight across to DVD. If someone could help me out that would be awesome!! Thanks guys!

As stated earlier I don't work with imovie but here are a couple of pages from the imovie 'help' menu:
"Saving your movie as a QuickTime movie"
When you save your movie in QuickTime format, you can play it on computers or publish it on a webpage, a CD, or your iDisk. When you export your movie to QuickTime, you can choose one of these settings:
Email: Best for sending over email.
Web: Best for playing on the web.
Web Streaming: Best for posting on a QuickTime streaming web server.
CD-ROM: Best for playback from CD-ROM drives.
Full Quality: Creates a movie with original quality, preserving the most data possible. Use for movies you want to import into other applications, such as iDVD, DVD Studio Pro, or Final Cut Pro, for further editing.
Expert Settings: Use when you want to customize your export or use other formats and codecs.
Important: The viewer needs QuickTime 7 or later to watch your QuickTime movie.
To save your movie as a QuickTime movie:
Choose Share > QuickTime.
Choose a movie format from the pop-up menu.
Click the "Share selected clips only" checkbox if you only want to share clips you selected.
Click Share.
Name your movie, select a location for the file, and click Save.
The time it takes to save the movie depends on the movie's length and the format you choose".
You want to save it as full quality movie for your purposes but by exporting via QT, you can take that version and later on send it out to web etc. by resetting the parameters but this way you have saved it in the best quality setting.
The Archival Grade is the best you can get . . not sure of the price but in not prohibitive, that's what I would use for your projects. But if too expensive, even the one grade down in the Taiyo would be fine. If you want to imprint the DVD itself, you need to buy the white im-printable version. I use an inexpensive Epson printer that prints the discs fine (don't use paper labels). I use a very simple program called Disclabel.

I cannot sych my ipad nor ipod . When I plug in either using the usb cord they do not show up in itunes. I have synched both of these before on this computer. i am running windows 8 on a dell one touch computer.

When I plug in my iPAD or iPod to my Dell one touch computer using windows 8 to synch them they do not show up.
I have synched them both recently on this computer with no problems. I have restarted everything ( computer , ipad , ipod ) multiple times
and used different usb cords and ports but nothiing works.
