Need to analyse my PROD system completely.

Hi,
We have following setup in our system.
1) 2 node RAC.
2) ASM storage.
3) RMAN backup has been used.
4) PCP has been implemented.
5) Dataguard has been implemented.
6) 2node EBS has been implemented with h/w load balancer.
7) OS is AIX 6L.
8) DB is 11GR2.
9) EBS is 12.1.3.
Recently system gone live and we have been facing some issues very frequently. and client asked me to perform complete health check of the entire system. This is the first time in my career i am doing health check. Can any body suggest me which are the components i need to focus and any reference documents on the same.

              We have written custom mxml script in Adobe Flex 3 which displays the list of applications stored in the DB. Then we have posted that .swf file into our Portal KM and then we have created one URL iView with the location from KM.
    These days we are facing issue like the output of the script is not working means the applications are not listed on the portal prod system.
    Whenever the issue arieses we are requested to upload the file once again into KM and it works after the upload been done.
    We are not sure what could be the reason for this issue and I request any one to assist us to resolve this issue.

    I belive this should be a portal issue, anyways let me give it a try.
    I never worked on flex in SAP but did similar stuff in portal content development.
    Do you have any traces in that development..?
    Did you check any messages being loged in portal...?
    Check if there is any issue with the file like couldn't recognise a resource from KM which is required etc.

    That means it can find the Hard Drive, or can't find the things needed for booting.
    See if DU even sees it.

    Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
    (Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

    i am trying to make analysis to my system which is (a small laboratory system) , but i have no experience
    in systems analysis , just a small idea ,
    so , what i reached to is , it is a small place with( one doctor , patients , one or two workers ) , just this , this is what in my mind ,
    so , it would be only one table for patients data , which will contain these columns (pa_name,age,test,......) ,
    , another table for workers and their salaries
    , only this .
    am i thinking incorrectly , do i miss somethings here ?

    Wrong. You cannot create a table with an infinite number of columns to store all the visits. Keep in mind the relationnal model.
    One table for the patient, one another for the visits, because one patient can have 0 to n visits.

    I also have to tell you that I won't manage this kind of infinite thread, because, this forum is not made to build a complete application step by step with hundreds (thousands) posts.

  • Source System Mapping between BW Dev and Prod system

    Hi,
    I have a DB Connect Source System in BW Dev system called DBSRCDEV which points to one of our Oracle Dev DB.
    In Production, the DB Connect Source System is called DBSRCPROD and it points to the corresponding Oracle Prod DB.
    In Development, I created a data source on this Source System (DBSRCDEV) and I tried to transport it to Production. But it failed with error saying that DBSRCDEV does not exist.
    Where and how can I maintain or configure the mapping between DBSRCDEV and DBSRCPROD Source System so that I can transport my data source to Production?

    Hi,
    usually you need to maintain the setting for the change of the logical system name (source system) in each target system of a transport. So in your prod system goto rsa1->tools->change logical system names...
    After maintaining that table, try to import your request again.

  • Integration Directory (ID)  transport to Prod system

    I am trying to move XI ID and IR to prod system thru file system transport. When I transport ID requests and activate it keeps complaining "Unable to move object. Change lists were not part of the same import"
    I checked the ID there are no open requests in my id or others all have been closed.
    I would also like to know if there is a way to completely transport the Integration Directory (ID) objects either scenario or service objects along with their change lists

    Make sure you have activated change lists open under ur id and check if any for other userid

    Once you have activated the changelists you can either transport the whole scenario(right click on scenario and export) or transport individual objects using the tools-> export option on the tool bar of ID.

    Currently the project is running with only production system.The quality system is not being used since long back and its not in synchronisation with production system.
    So now we are planing to make the systems in stable/Sync.
    What i want to ask is after coping  the entire Prod system and they do refresh in to the Quality system after that
    1. will it be the same structure as prod?
    2.Will it be the same data as it is in prod?
    3.what changes will it take place and what i need to validate once the system is refreshed??
    Please suggest me some inputs.

    2. Yes, if data is also copied (generally this is done). In few cases only the structures are copied and not the data.
    3. There is no need to validate,,coz we generally do this kind of copy so that we have prod like system for testing. Just make sure that the system is running good after the copy, you are able to carry out loads, run query....

  • Risk Analysis with "ALL" systems

    Gurus,
         I have a scenario where we have a rule set (not global) built on a logical system with 8 systems in it. We are trying to run the analysis with "ALL" systems instead of individual systems as we are hoping that the analysis will be performed only on the systems that are part of the logical systems. My understanding on how the risk analysis run may be wrong but I need a second opinion on my assumption. Please do let me know if any one needs more explanation.

    The Risk Analysis System "ALL" is really all connectors and is not tied to the Logical System (LS). The LS defines which systems are applicable for the rules. If your LS has fewer systems than all the connectors, just keep in mind that this impacts the results.
    Example:
    Existing connectors = A, B, C, D, E, F (ALL = A-F)
    LS-1 = A, B, D, F
    Run the report for "ALL" systems/connectors and lets assume that every system has SOD issues. Your results would look like this:
    A = SOD violations
    B = SOD violations
    C = "no violations found"
    D = SOD violations
    E = "no violations found"
    F = SOD violations
    You would either need to add C & E to LS-1 or create a LS-2 with connectors C & E and create/upload rules for LS-2. Then ALL would find SOD violations for connectors A - F.
    Hopefully I didn't over explain the question. Short answer is system "ALL" = all connectors and there is no choice to run the SOD report based on a specific LS.

    This requirement is for Trend Analysis Report (Project Systems)
    I am loading data from ODS to Cube as a Delta Upload
    ODS is getting data from R/3 data source as a full upload (no delta in the Datasource)
    I added one custom field in the cube (0PS_C04) and that custom field (Date field) is going to pick current date (Sys date) through formula in the update rules.
    When I am loading data from ODS to Cube, if the value is coming to the amount field, then the current date field is going to get the current date to the cube
    If there is no record is updated in R/3, then delta is not going to update any record to the Cube.
    If no record is updated to the cube to the particular project number, then Date field is not going to get any data from update rules.
    But I need to see all dates in the cube even though there is no update in the R/3 for that project.
    Example:
    Proj---day1        2       3      4     5      6
    -XYZ---     10        5      --      3     --     2
    In the report now I am able to see some thing like this
    Project   day1        2      4     6
    XYZ        10        5     3     2
    But I am expecting some thing like this…
    Project   day1        2       3      4     5      6
    XYZ        10        15       15     18     18     20
    Can anyone please help me in this…..

  • How to compare all macros in the Macro workbench with DeV & Prod system

    I have one issue with macros, all the macros in maco workbebnch in developement system are not in sink with Production system.
    I want to campare macros in both the system & based on comparison need to add or deactivate macros in the Developement system & move Transport request to accross the landscape like Dev-QA& Prod system.so that all macros are in sink with three different system.
    Can anybody advice,Is there any tool or T-code that compare all the macros in the two different systems.

    This code is different from yours. For one thing, the first part, where inOrder is false, is not included because you did not post what behavior that is supposed to perform. The code below does what you posted...it puts some Strings into a Stack, then parses the Stack. If adj is followed by NP* then adj is removed. Then the new Stack is parsed to find det followed by NP*, and det is removed while NP* is changed to NP.

    There are three models of MacBook that comprise the 'macbook 4.1' category, and each of them a little different; however other than 'macbook 4.1' the other thing they have in common is they all are considered Early 2008. Two are white, one black, polycarbonate case, Core2Duo 2.1GHz, 2.4GHz white, 2.4GHz black.
    So if you can determine which one, if any of these, is the model build year and spec you have, that would be handy. Did you tell whoever you spoke to the serial number of your computer, so they'd know by looking up the specs to see what the supported maximum RAM upgrade capacity was, and other minimum requirements to make any upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6.8 at all?
    If you have the serial number you can do a lookup to 'indentify by serial number' online, and use that information to determine if the computer needs even more RAM to take it past the minimum for Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and then get it ready to upgrade (via paid download from App Store, Snow Leopard gets you that far) and see what the next supported OS X full upgrade would be for the hardware limitations on that old MacBook.
    If your MacBook IS a 4.1 build, the highest OS X it could run if it has the 2.4GHz cpu, is Lion 10.7.5. That would be an upgrade from the App store, available to OS X 10.6.8+ computers that access it online. And I kind of doubt how supported a newest iphone etc may be in lion.

    Here's the three MacBooks that share the 4.1 designation; first shipped with as much as 1GB RAM upgrade and the other two only a 2GB RAM*, (one white/one black color) according to this information...

    The Apple? store or whoever you talked, to may have been as accurate as they could be without further research. Could be you may have a newer or older MacBook, which would change whatever later OS X it could run past 10.6.8. And to go past Snow Leopard, you need to download the last bits for 10.6.x to be able to go and get any later upgrade. The ones that may let a newest iphone or ipad work with it, are past SL10.6.8
    Anyway, as you further verify the model build year and configuration specifications, report back.

  • Error while generating export datasource in Test and Prod system

    I tried to generate export datasorce on a cube in teh testing system so that i can use this as a datasource for another cube. I did this so that i can transport all teh relevnt objects from D to T. But Iam gettin teh following erro msg
    <b>System setting does not allow changes to be made to object ISTD 80CRM_PRI.</b>
    while Prod system produces teh follwoing error msg
    <b>Changes to Repository or cross-client Customizing are not permitted</b>
    <b>Choose 'Display object' or 'Cancel'.</b>
    After i have done this and when i go to the context menu of teh infocube i can see maintain export datasource option.
    Also I couldn't see the infosource generated in Infosources ( FYI I have already done display generated objects under settings)
    Can anyone tell me how to proceed further.

    Generally export datasource are not included in the request from the test server. It gets generated automatically when (ODS,Cube) based on which the datasource s transported to production / quality .
    I think solution should be try not to include export datasource, infosource ,transfer rules to request from dev server.
