Need to disable Hello functionality at workplace

Need to disable Hello at my workplace. How can this service be blocked with our Web Security Appliance or Firewall?

Can you clarify about what you would try to achieve and to what reply you are referring?
If you would loop.server (https://loop.services.mozilla.com/v0) to an empty string then Firefox won't be able to access the server.
This will work for all Firefox profiles that are started via the Firefox installation that has the mozilla.cfg file.

Compatability Issue: Need Help Disabling Additional Functions - URGENT!

I am experiencing a problem with running Pro Tools 8.0.4 LE on my HP Pavilion dv7, which is encountered as a DAE error -6006 when loading Pro Tools. Research indicates that this error relates somehow to the firewire connection, and I am able to use Pro Tools on this system with a different interface (one that only has two microphone inputs) that allows me to connect via USB.
Also, when I do run Pro Tools via USB it seems that I can't use the Quick Punch feature without a minimum 10 second (usually a lot longer) delayed response after pressing the playback or record button!
I have been emailing Pro Tools support back and forth daily for 10 days now, and in the most recent email, they have said:
"This might be an incompatibility issue. HP Pavilion dv7 laptop is not tested by our US headquarter testing team
and not officially supported.
As you have found by yourself, each PC manufacture pre- installs their own features (as TV tuner) and the program into
Windows OS , the motherboard and BIOS. They work differently to Pro Tools and sometimes conflict. That is why we cannot support those PCs we have not tested.
Please turn off all the additional function by HP from BIOS. Please ask HP support how to do."
Therefore, I am requesting assistance with disabling all unnecessary services and processes on my HP laptop. I am assuming that the TV tuner is not a necessary service, but I have no idea about most of the others, and obviously I don't want to disable something that is necessary.
If you could help me ASAP I would really appreciate it, as I need to get on with recording urgently! Thank you.

I have also been advised by Pro Tools support that if I add a supported FireWire card with Texas Instrument FireWire chip onto my computer, it may solve the problem. When I asked them how to go about doing this, they responded:

I need to disable the delete key from going back a page.

My son is doing online homeschooling. If he is taking a quiz and accidentally hits the delete key to correct a word in his answer the page goes back and he is kicked out of the quiz. I need to disable this function in Safari to protect him from this. Please help.

Possibly http://www.hotkey.com. You can assign Command + Backspace as a shortcut for Delete.

Need to disable the clearing of browsing history and what is the "about:config" function for it?

I am working on an Group Policy Administrative template for Wetdog.exe, and it's awesome by the way. Just want to know what function to use (listed in "about:config" url) so i can turn this feature off entirely.
I don't want my users deleting browsing history, or have any ability to view it either.
Still, i want the browser to keep at least 30 days of history.
This is EASILY accomplished in Internet Explorer via GPO, but not so much in Mozilla with wetdog.exe and it's admin templates. I am using Windows Server 2003 enterprise edition R2 on 2 domain controllers, and Windows XP Professional SP3 client workstations with Mozilla 3.6.3 and the latest version of Wetdog.exe and it's admin templates.
Any help would be much appreciated!!!

It can be annoying, but I think their motivation is good. They are trying to make things better for their customers and I think they have, even though sometimes it is annoying. I think it would be nice if they would advise us when the pages are going to be down for maintenance, In the mean time, you could have another E mail account so you can always get access to your E mail.

Disable (all) functions on the block diagram with right-click menu

Hello to everyone,
here is one more idea, which I'd like to propose.
As for me, it would be useful to have the following: when all components (functions, wires, subVIs, etc.) are selected on the block diagram (like, after ctrl+A), operator could do right-click, and in the menu would appear menu item "Disable everything". After it, all the code could be placed into Disable structure.
Of course, I can add Disable structure to block diagram manually, and cover whatever I want, but with right-click menu it would be much faster.
Also, it can be modified to disable only selected items - then each of them can be placed into separate Disable structure, and, for example, additionaly in the enabled case of Disable structure, corresponding wires will be connected. Sometimes it is needed for testing - just to disable couple functions, and test subVI. Or to disable subVI fully (it's faster, then disable place, where it is called. Especially, if subVI is used in many places).
It will not make debugging difficult, because anyway Disabled structures are used; such functionallity can just make life a little bit easier...

There is always the File->New... which opens up a new window. You can have your templates in that window by putting them somewhere (I don't remember where at the moment).

You can do this by Assigning roles that will restrict the person to ceate Substitute for him. May be you can try to debug while you are trying to create a substitute and check whether by putting any entries in table HRUS_D2 to achive your requirement.

I need to provide F4 functionality for the first field.if user clicks on the find button it has to show list of all values related to the above mentiones 4 fields. in this four fields one field is the key field. if user select on key field the corresponding values has to be populated in the reamining 3 fields along with the key field.

If you are using custommer fields according to notes 672960 and 458591, the F4 option are self-generated when defining in the include (CI* or INCL_EEW_PD* ) a foreign key or a search help.

I am getting the error "Your change to the data in the current form did not update the FTE value due to the following error: This assignment does not have a contract type effective as of 29-08-2012. Please use the Extra Details of Service form to assign a contract type. This message is for your information only, your changes will still be applied and saved. (ABVUOM=FTE)" when changing job terms.
This error occurs on seeded page: Change job and terms assignment under selfservice manager.
Replication steps:
Manager Selfservice --> Change Job and Terms --> Select an employee and click on Actions --> Select Change Job and Term action -->Click on Start --> Click on continue --> Update information and click on Next

Looking at the error message, it seems like the Contract Type is not a valid one. What I feel is the current contract type is either end dated or disabled as on sysdate. Please check whether any such change has happened in your system.
As this is a seeded error message, it is better to raise an SR with Oracle to get this issue fixed.

In Back to Back order process once the order is progressed, the requisition will be created and Quantity will be reserved for PO to be received.
Some of our users want go and Unreserve this by the below methods.
1) Tools --> Scheduling --> Unreserve
2) Right Click on the order line --> Scheduling --> Unreserve
We need to Disable or Grayed out this Unreseve option for ATO Flagged lines.

i have an E2500 and i need to disable the ports on the router. I have a DSL line going in and thats it. I do not want it to be able to accept any wired device and have someone get on the internet. I do not want someone to just take a laptop, with a LAN able, plug it into a port, and get internet. How would i be able to disable the ports? there has to be a way

You can write the code in the WHEN-NEW-RECORD-INSTANCE trigger of the block B. it will fire when you navigate to that record.

Disable browser functionality through Portal

Hello, I was curious to know if it is possible to disable Browser functionality (such as toolbars, navigation buttons, address bar) through a Portal setting? I know this is possible to do through Javascript's window.open() function; however I'd like to remove the functionality on the initial client call without having to pop another window to do so.
Any suggestions?
