Need to update remote trail file seqno from source

Experts,
i need to change the remote trail file seqno to different no other than 0 from the source side.
i tried delete rmtrail and add with like below
add rmttrail /opt/app/pdfdfs/ggs/trails/rddf1dfd/rg, extract ext, seqno 4670
seems like it is not working and trying to read from 0 itself. as i dont have access to target db i cannot alter the replicat there. please suggest

I think you are trying to add the rmttrail with a different seqno than 0.
By default when the the rmttrail is been added like below and started
add rmttrail /opt/app/pdfdfs/ggs/trails/rddf1dfd/rg, extract ext
In the target it will start creating files like rg000000
In your case, you are trying to get it created with a different number.
Let's assume that you have trail files till rg000014 and so you want the new trail file to be created as rg000015
if so then you could use the following command
add rmttrail /opt/app/pdfdfs/ggs/trails/rddf1dfd/rg, extract ext, seqno 15, rba 0
This will help to create files with sequence rg000015.

Need to update Exchange 2010 to SP1 from base

I need to update my base install of Exchange 2010 to SP1 and eventually SP2. This sits on a 2008 R2 server. in reading other upgrade articles, there are references to needing hotfixes at the server level - 2008 R2. There are about 5 hot fixes referenced
to upgrade to SP1 and I would assume there are a few others for the update to SP2.
Currently the 2008 R2 server is patched via Windows update through February 2014 (including SP1 for the server). Given that, can I assume that the hot fix updates have been incorporated into other updates/patches along the way for the Windows 2008 R2
server? Or do i still have to install each of those hotfixes manually?
Also, in one of the patches, it spoke of needing, or using .net framework 2.0 and 3.51. currently my system has 4.5.1 on it. do i need 2.0 and 3.51 for SP1 to be installed and work correctly?

Hi Dave,
I recommend you install Exchange 2010 SP3 directly. There is no need to upgrade to Exchange 2010 SP1 and then to SP2.
Service Packs are cumulative, Exchange 2010 SP3 include all fixes included in previous RUs and service packs. Here is a blog for your reference.

Since Windows updated through February 2014, you don't need to install each of those hotfixes manually.
Besides, I would like to verify if you download .net framework 4.5.1 from website. There is no need to install it that way. You just need to open Server Manager, add .Net Framework 3.5.1 feature.

Open the photo in the Preview application and click Save As... in the File menu. Its size will be indicated near the bottom of the resulting dialog box. Need to update information to our WebDB from our ERP DB

We need to be able to udpate information from our oracle eBusiness ERP system out to our Web Store DB (Both Oracle 10g 10.2.0.4 DBs). The data we are trying to sync is inventory, pricing, product data, etc. The issue is that some of the data (inventory primarily) has to come from some complex views that contain function/procedure calls to get at actual quantity (available to reserve). So I believe a materialized view is out.
I was just wondeirng how others would approach this problem? I could bulk collect the deltas and use forall to udpate....write to a temp table, etc? Any thoughts?
Any ideas/suggestions are very much appreciated.

The only way a view is kept up to date is by making changes to the table(s) on which it is built.
There is nothing you have stated, so far, that rules in or out materialized views.
I just read your newest and original post and there is wholly insufficient information, no DDL, no DML, to really understand your issue.
Please provide an example (code) of what you are asking about. No matter how good Oracle technology ... it still doesn't let us see

File transfer from source to destination location using 11g b2b

Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to transfer a file(custom file format) from a source location to a destination location using 11g b2b.
The problem here is I can't use any composite to push data to b2b, it has to be through b2b configuration alone.
If i understand correctly, delivery channel (in this case transport protocol is FTP) is defined for a trading partner and we specify the hostname,destination folder etc in the transport protocol parameter.
Is there a way I can specify the source location anywhere in the B2B configuration screens so that b2b understands what is the source and destination location to transfer the file.
Steps that I have followed:
1. created remote trading partner
2. created document definition for a custom file format
3. Configured Delivery channel for the remote trading partner.
4. Created an agreement.
Is there anything else I can do to solve this problem.

I tried with Generic file and the file is getting picked up from the source location but its not getting delivered to the destination.
Checked file permission in the destination and its fine, files can be created there. Also, checked the reports section and saw those messages in error with
Error Code: B2B-50014
Error Level: ERROR_LEVEL_COLLABORATION
Error Text: General Error
Steps I have followed:
1. Created Internal Listening channel
Protocol: Generic File-1.0
Folder Name: Important.txt
Folder Name: /home/applvis/dev/Inbound_dir and specified it as internal.
This is working fine as file is getting picked up from the location
2. Created Delivery channnel for the remote trading partner.
Protocol: Generic File-1.0
Folder Name: /home/applvis/dev/Outbound_dir
Filename format: Ship_%FROM_PARTY%.txt
3. Created and deployed the agreement.
Am I missing any necessary step here?

Update Audit Trail in CUP from an External IDM Solution

We are doing an external IDM integration with CUP 5.3 SP7. Our design include gathering some approvals in the IDM solution before forwarding the request to CUP for some additional approvals and provisioning.
We are trying to use the SAP delivered webservices like:SAPGRC_AC_IDM_SUBMITREQUEST for the request submission. In an effort to keep the entire audit trail in CUP, we are exploring means to send the IDM approval/audit trail to CUP so that an Admin can login to CUP to get the entire request history. Does anybody know how can we get this achieved? Is there an API /WS that can be used to update the Audit trail in CUP along with the submission of a request?
We know there is one WS which provide the audit trail from CUP to IDM but not the other way !

Flat file conversion from source to destination

I'm new to SAP and was wondering if someone could help me with the following:
Have a source text file (fields are FirstName and LastName) and would like to run it through PI and get an output as a flat file with the FullName and LastName concaternated.
Example:
SourceFile.txt:
Jason
Gates
TargetFile.txt:
Jason Gates
The mapping is working if I test it using the test feature in Enterprise Services Builder's test mapping feature without any files.
How can I execute the mapping using plain text flat files?

The object is to:

u2022 Test using files place on the file server
u2022 Trouble shoot using the runtime work bench.
u2022 Once this work, increase the complexity e.g. multiple people in the source file, etc

Determine if writing to a local or remote trail

I have recently been tasked with taking over the GG implementation at my company and am hoping there is a simple answer for my question.
I am concerned we are not following practice and writing directly to a remote trail file but I am not sure how to prove this.
What is the "give away" or how can you tell if you are writing to a remote file directly or local trail file?
This is on an 11.2.0.3 Oracle database.

The network call is due to the fact that you are using a remote trail versus local trai for the Extract. The parameters RMTHOST and RMTTRAIL are telling the Extract to connect to that host (even though it's local) over the port specfied by MGRPORT. This in turn causes the Manager to take the call over the port and then pass it off to a process called a Server Collector. If you just used the parameter EXTTRAIL in the Extract and created the trail as an EXTTRAIL rather than a RMTTRAIL, then there wouldn't be any network for the Extract to negotiate, it would just write the trail out locally on the server (even though it's also doing that with the remote trail since you've got the RMTHOST as the local server anyway).
A Pump (not the same as Oracle Datapump) would normally handle this if the target db server were different than the source.
And even if you do add DB4 to the mix on Box2, you can also add a Pump process that reads the same trail that the Replicat is reading and you wouldn't need another Extract.
I'll map it out as if you have this setup:
Box1 has DB1 and DB2
Box2 has DB4
Extract1 for DB1 on Box1 writes to Exttrail ./dirdat/et
Replicat2 for DB2 on Box1 reads from Exttrail ./dirdat/et and delivers transactions to DB2
Pump4 for Box2/DB4 on Box1 reads from Exttrail ./dirdat/et and writes to Box2 to Remote Trail ./dirdat/rt
Replicat4 for DB4 on Box2 reads from Exttrail ./dirdat/rt and delivers transactions to DB4
With a configuration like this, you can always add more Pumps on Box1 to read from Extract1's local Exttrail ./dirdat/et and send those to other target servers. In fact, Pump4 can also write to mulitple target servers at once, although it would be best to have 1 Pump write to 1 target server, again to reduce Abends due to the network.

Updated Camera Raw File for CS2 / Canon Powershot G10

I am still using Photoshop CS2, but unfortunately I need the updated Camera Raw file (v5.6) for use with the Canon Powershot G10, and it appears the unless I upgrade to CS4 I won't be able to view any RAW files shot with this camera.
Is there an updated Camera Raw version for the Powershot G10 that is still supported under CS2?

ACR 5.4 was released last night and it requires CS4. That is the latest and current version of Camera Raw.
5.6 probably won't appear until next year.
If you download the free, stand-alone Adobe DNG Converter 5.4, you can convert the raw files from your camera to raw DNG files you can then open in ACR 3.7 hosted by CS2.

STMS - transport .SAR file downloaded from SAP notes

I have download .SAR files from SAP Support Portal and have used SAPCAR.EXE to unpack it.
As the result, I have 2 files: K123110.L6B and R123110.L6B.
I copied these K123110.L6B to my DEV server \usr\sap\trans\cofiles
and R123110.L6B \usr\sap\trans\data
I would like to transport it from DEV server to QAS server.
So, I logon on to DEV --> STMS, I clicked on the "Transport" logo,
then double click the DEV server.
Then, at the menu bar, I goto Extras --> Other Requests --> Add and
enter Transport Request: L6BK123110
But, there is an error message:
<b>Transport control program tp ended with error code 0247
Errors: addtobuffer has problems with data- and/or cofile</b>
I guess I must miss out some steps, can anybody guide me?
I need to update the SAR file to my QAS server.
