Negative withdrawn qty in process order

Hi Gurus,
While doing reversal of goods issue(Movt type 262) to a process order's material, system is not checking qty withdrawl against a process order's reservation.
Means suppose for child item of the process order if we issue 100 qty through 261 movt type and while reversing it through 262 move type if we give qty 150 then system still allows to reverse.
And,not giving error message for the excess 50 qty because of which we're getting negative qty withdrawn against process orders which are created in RESB table.
Is there any way by which we can allow system to check qty withdrawn in a process order?
Thanks in advance.

Dear,
Movement 262 reversal of goods issue without resevation through orders. So it will allow more than order component qty.
Yes it is possible you can restrict it through Authorization Object M_MSEG_BMB provide it to specific user only.

  • Component qty.in process order

    Hi,
while creating process order, my requirement is that there shouldn't be manual change in its component quantity. System should not allow changes in any of the material quantity while creating a process order of a product.
    How to do this ?
    Regards,

    Hi,
As per std. SAP there is no restriction over manual changes in Production / Process Orders.
But for such kind of customer specific requirments SAP has provide a different User Exits. Which you can use as per your requirment. You just have to write your own logic with help of abaper.
You can use below User Exit.
PPCO0008 to check components that have been changed or added
Below are the SAP documentation about this Exit
The enhancement serves to check components that have been added to an
order or changed (for example, against a standard material database).
This check can reject the transfer of components to the order in some
circumstances or replace the material number with another.
The enhancement is given the material number, the plant and the storage
location of the component entered by the user (or of the components the
user has changed). Also, the order header data is copied to the
structure I_ORDER so that the check can also include order-related
values. However, changes to values in this structure are not copied!
The check should copy back the material numbers to be processed (as well
as the corresponding plant and storage location) in the structure
E_MATERIAL. If the data was changed then the structure E_MATERIAL is
      always filled completely!
For the material returned (if E_MATERIAL is filled) the checks specified
in the program standard are run. It can happen that the enhancement is
called up for the replaced material number!
If the component is not to be copied at all then the check must trigger
the exception MATERIAL_REJECTED which then leads to the adding or
      changing being cancelled.
Partly for this reason but also for example for the case of one material
number being exchanged with another there is the structure E_MESSAGE in
which a message can be copied back to the calling program. The following
belong to the message: the application, the message number, the level of
gravity (information, error, warning,...) as wellas four variable texts
that replace the corresponding place holders in the message. If this
structure is filled then the calling program makes sure that this
message is displayed. In the application CO the message 877 was already
created - it can be used to tell the user that a material number has
      been exchanged.

  • Tolerance limit for Components in Process Order

    Dear Friends,
As we can provide underdelivery / overdelivery tolerance for GR of process order, likewise is it possible to provide tolerance for BOM components in process order?
The requirement is like that confirmation should be allowed with GI done within + / - 5 % of BOM qty in process order. Is it possible to cater this requirement with any exit / BAdi?
Kindly help with your valuable inputs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Tejas

    Dear,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Actually I have been already working on this exit only. But me & my technical fellow are stuck up for build logic for tolerance limit. It is working to restrict confirmation till GI has been done. But we are unable to give provision of tolerance limit for GI with this exit.
Can you pls share more details about writing logic for it?

  • Withdrawn qty of components automatically updates in Process order

    Hi,
We are facing a peculier problem.
We create a process order. Some of the components have very less requirement qty (0.004 abc where 0.1 abc = 0.01 g).
Withdrawn qty for these components are automaticcaly updated equivalent to requiremnents qty although there is no goods movement.
Due to this reason the reservation of these components is also 0 & due to this reason only no Transfer requirements is created.
Any inputs on this issue is highly appreaciated.
    regards,
    Mohit

    Dear
Please note the following in your case :
1.During maintaing the unit of measure in T-code CUNI we can define No. of decimal places to which rounding should be performed which specifies the number of decimal places to which this measurement unit should be rounded.
System will not allow more than 3 decimal places in satandard SAP.You can use a larger base quantity of 100 or 1000 in the BOM header (instead of 1).That would eliviate your issue with the 3 decimal places in the component quantity. SAP always takes the base quantity into account during requirements calculation.
refer : How to maintain decimal places in BOM Qty & what is the essence of base qty
2.Pl go to SU3 transaction and select 'Defaults' tab, check option selected against 'Decimal Notation'. pl select dot decimal notation and SAVE.After you changed it, please re-start your sap session(s).Or go to System -
    > User profile-----> Own Data. In user profile page go to Default setting for Decimal notation. Change it to 1,234,567.89
Check both the point and try

  • Loss qty related Bill of material move to scrap location automaticaly at the time of process order confirmation

    Hi experts,
I need one  clarification, i am raise one process order in COR1 - Qty 1000 kg, reservation completed against the process order bill of material main storage location ( 0001 & 0002 ) To Production storage location ( 0004 ) through MB21 with mvnt.type 311, store person also moved the bill of material main storage location ( 0001 & 0002 ) To Production storage location ( 0004 ) through MB1B.
Issue is at the time of confirmation i am enter the OK qty or packed qty in yield column - 950 kg , remaining 50 kg is enter in loss column.> Go to confirmation bill of material qty calculated at only for related in yield qty. Remaining loss qty related bill of material not consumed it is available in production storage location ( 0004 ),then one by one raw material and packing material qty moved to scrap location through MB1A - 541 Mvnt type.
If any other way for easy reservation and goods issue against the process order main storage location to production storage location.
I need at the time of confirmation enter yield qty related BOM qty consumed in 261 consumption, remaining loss qty related BOM qty taken scrap mvt.type  541 in automatically if it is possible for any customization at the time of loss qty enter related bill of material qty also posted in scrap  ?
Kindly help me for the issue !
    Thanks & Regards,
    N.Umapathy

    Hi
In Standard practice the scrap generated during the production process should be maintaid as negative qty and with differnent material codes which acts as BY Product.
In your case when you maintain the scrap percentage for BOM components , it will copied to the production order with adtditional qty and it will be consumed when you do confirmation and Goods moevement and at the same time the Scrap material is generated/received  with movement type 531( not 541) as by product received out of production.
You can maintain the same BOM component as By product in BOM system will generate the stock to a different SLoc but the cost will be wrong.

  • Planned qty. and value for process order (components wise)

    Hi Experts,
I need to capture the planned qty. (requirement qty.) and planned value of the components of a process order for some profit report. Please suggest me from which table i can get these values. (In RESB only req. qty. is there.)
    Thanks
    Nitin kapoor

COSP or MBEW would help get that info. But take help from your FI/Co colleague to understand the table better

  • BOM component Qty is getting rounded to next value in Process Order and BOM

We are in ECC 6.0, and maintaining BOM where Item quantities are decimal places e.g 0.3lb with respect to Hader qty. Now when we are craeting process order or exploding in CS11, we are seein that item quantities are getting rounded to next full integer e.g 1, 2 or 3.
What could be the reason for this behaviour.

In standard  "lb' doesn't have decimal point
    If you want decimal point
    go to CUNI
    select the mass
    you can find the lb
maintain the decimal point  as 3, & decimal point rounding as as 3, system will show 3 decimal point in process order and in CS11

  • How to see daily production qty against a Process order

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement where user wants to see Actual daily production quantities against a Process order. The way client, I am working for, works is, They create One process order on 1st day of every month for one quantity. And then keep adding against that order only:-
For eg. They craete a Process order say 1234 for 50,000.00Kg on April 1.
And produce 5000 on 1 april, then ACtual GR qty will be shown as 5000
Next day they produce 2000, then Actul GR quantity will be shown as 7000
Next day they produce 3000, then Actual GR qty will be 13000....and so on..till end of the month.
Where can I see these individual quantities?
    Please advise.
    Regards
    Prashant

    Hi Prashanth,
In SAP A material Document will be genarated For Everey goods movement, By taking the Mat doc NO for the day for that production order you can track the GI and GR quantites.
in CO03 we can get the material document no, by selecting GOTO---> DOCUMENTED GOODS MOVEMENT.
THE material document contains all the details related to the goods movemet like date, quantity, movement type.
the configuration required to genarate the material documents. in OPL8 order type dependent parameters under IMPLEMENTATION tab you have to tick the documented goods movements.
    Thanks&Regards,

  • What is target qty in process /production orders?

    Hi Experts,
I am doing a report that needs to display the quantity and costs (target / planned / actual) of each component in the process /production orders. Through tcode COR3 --> given a process order# --> Goto -- > Costs, I can see total target qty / total planned qty / total actual qty for each component. But I can only find planned qty and actual qty from tables COSS, COSP, RESB.  Where to get target qty ?
Can anybody explain to me what is exactly the target qty? Any tables to get target qty? Or any FM to get target qty?
    Thanks a lot.
    Yu

    Dear,
    Definition: target costs
    Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC)
The costs expected to be incurred when a specific quantity is produced.
In Cost Object Controlling, the target costs are calculated on the basis
of the planned values of a service unit (such as the planned cost of a
production order) and the control quantities (such as the yield
        delivered to stock).
Target costs can be used for purposes such as:
    o   To determine variances
o   To valuate work in process
    Total Target Costs
Total value of the target costs.
    Calculated with the following formula:
Total target costs = Target cost debit + Target cost credit.
    Use
Target costs are the planned costs adjusted to the actual operating
        rate.
The target debit on a manufacturing order is the sum of the
activity-independent planned debit of the order and the
activity-dependent planned debit of the order multiplied by the actual
        quantity of the order.
The target credit of a manufacturing order results from the goods
receipt postings to stock. The delivered actual quantity is valuated
with the planned price according to the price control.
The total value of the target costs is the sum of the target debit and
        the target credit.
The target costs are calculated during variance calculation and updated
        to the database.
The target costs cannot be shown until you have performed variance
calculation for this target cost version. The target credit for the
calculation of the total variances and production variances cannot be
calculated until an actual quantity for an order exists after a goods
        receipt posting.
For the calculation of variances, the target costs are compared with the
        control costs.
    Dependencies
The calculation of target costs depends on the selected target cost
        version.

  • Stop new planned order when process order GR qty less then sales order qty

    Hi All,
How should SAP be configured so that when a process order is GRu2019ed, the sales order requirement is fulfilled regardless of the quantity difference between the sales order and process order?
The system behavior we are currently experiencing is MRP will generate another planned order for the fixed lot size if the GRu2019ed quantity is less than the sales order quantity.
    Additional background information:
                    Make to order scenario
                    Process industries
                    Batch control
                    Warehouse management
                    Fixed lot size
Any comments or suggestion are welcome.
    Thanks.

    Brahmaji,
    Thanks for the reply.
I agree that changing from FX to EX will produce a planned order for the quantity difference (SO qty less the GR qty).  So this would be an improvement to our present situation, but not quite what we are looking for.
The system behavior we want is MRP to ignore the requirement for the difference, in other words, when the GR is done for the entire batch quantity, we won't be producing any addition product.  The sales order would be considered complete.

  • Fetching open component qty against production order

    Hi
The requirement is to fetch component 'open quantity' for a production order. [ Open quantity = requirement - withdrawn qty of the component ]
Can we get it through /SAPAPO/OM_ORDER_GET_DATA ? I could see the requirement quantity but not the quantity required.
    Thanks in advance...
    Yogesh

    Hi PP_HKV,
I did as you told me  about use MB1A/261 against production order and you rigth, This not up date any quantity in production order for component only I can see this movoment in option   GOTO --> Documented goods movements, but not in component overview in field Qty withdrawn, It is the same case when I use MB1A/262 transation allow me to do the movment but the quantity in production order for component is not up date only it is show in GOTO --> Documented goods movements
I see in standard process it is not work as I expect. Is there some way for to do that any bapi o customization?

  • Missing parts for Process orders

    Hi Experts,
We are trying to find out the Transaction to faciltate the Missing parts list for the process order even after the order has been completed having the Status TECO, CLSD. This is to understand whether proper enough materials are consumed for the order or not. Based on that Production incharge can ensure the component consumption is made as per the Process order requirement.
We are trying with CO24, this is showing the missing parts list if order does not contain TECO and CLSD status.
Also we are checking with COOISPI, COID, but could find the correct feature out of them.
Do we need to develop any customized report with the help ABAPers. If yes please guide us the method.
Please help us in acheiving the list of components which are not consumed as per the Process order requirement.
Also guide us to identify the list of materials which are excess consumed for the Process order.
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi Jiaul,
Thank you very much for your reply.
So we need to develop the program to flag the missing parts and its qty even after the Order has the status TECO or CLSD.
Can you please provide logic to develop the Program.
I am thinking to take the inputs from process order required qty Vs withdrwan qty. if the Qty difference is positve, which should come under missing parts. if the difference is still negative means excess qty consumed.
    Waiting for suggestions
    Thanks in advance

  • Goods Return to Store against Process Order

    Hi,
Tell me how to do Goods Return to Store against Process Order
    For E.g.
Process Order X having Material M1 with Requirement Qty 100 Kg as per BOM specification and Issue Qty using COR6 is also 100 Kg but due to less Consumption 20 Kg is required to be returned to store
So how to have effect of returned 20 KG against Process Order
Note : I have used MB1C option for Goods Receipt but it won't make any effect in Process Order
    i.e. Requirement Qty  -   100 KG
         Withdrawn Qty     -    100 KG
But in MMBE it shows 20 KG after receipt from MB1C
    Kunal

    Hi Vivek,
I tried as per your given direction but it won't worked
What I required is for E.g.
    Process Order No 11111
    Material No           Mat-A
    Batch No              Bat-A
    Storage Loc          PM01
Requirement Qty which is coming from BOM                        120 KG
Withdrawl Qty either using COR6 or MB1A (261 mov type)     120 KG
Consider that Process Order is already confirmed and due to some reason All the materials issued against Process Order has to be returned to Store for another Process Order
When I used MB1A and entered movement type 262 with storage location PM01 then click on To Order Button to enter Reference : Order and click on Tick Button
It then displayed only those materials which is not yet issued and required to be issued and automatically Movement Type changed to 261
    Please guide
