New batch creation good receipt

I would like to create new batch code automatically on good receipt if it hasn't existed in the system.
Is this related to the movement type or transaction code(MB0A or MIGO) or an user who process good receipt?
Is this configuration or user authority?
Could anybody let me know how to do the set up.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Miki

Hi Indranil,
Thanks for the information.
It is blank for good receipt 101 so it should work fine but it sometimes doesn't work.
Is there any configuration to select plant?
I would like to investigate when it doesn't work.
I am still checking.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Miki

  • Creating Unplanned Batches for Goods Receipts

Recently we had an incident where a goods receipt for a final product did not meet an analytical FDA requirement. We were able to segregated the portion of the material that did not meet this regulatory commitment. We have a manufacturing process in place that will allow us to rework this material however we need to assign this failed portion a new batch number. Since part of this final product is good we want to avoid a re-id of the total quantity of the goods receipt. Is there a way we can create unplanned batches and split a goods receipt for a planned process order after manufacturing has occurred?

    Ryan,
For these requirements, you might want to consider classifying your batches. Through classification function, you can assign multiple characteristics to your materials (e.g., one characteristic for inspection type, one class for original batch number, and one class for process order number) and assign specific characteristic values in batch.
I'm not sure which version of SAP you're currently using, but the following is the link to help.sap.com on batch management.
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/25/28428b4f7811d18a150000e816ae6e/frameset.htm">BatchManagement_46c</a>
Batch classification is specifically discussed in Batch Specifications section.
    Hope this helps.

  • Import new quantity (PO Good Receipt) with serial number

    Hi,
After reading all the threads related to this topic, Iu2019m a bit mixed-up.
If my company is genuine new and Iu2019ve got no quantity in my stock, what is the best way to upload using a Good Receipt, quantities from a PO triggering at the same time creation of Serial Number?
    Thanks
    Stéphane

    Hi Stéphane,
Good Receipt and Good Receipt PO are two different objects.  One is only inventory adjustment. The other is linked to PO.  GRPO would be better but more process would be needed including all PO imports.
    Thanks,

  • Multilevel Batches during Goods receipt

    Dear MM gurus,
I need your help to model following scenario.
There are two batch /lot numbers in Customer system & we need to model it in SAP. Here are steps.
    - Good Receipt from Vendor will come with lot number which can be model as batch number in SAP.
    - During save in customer system, it will create new object called Box number by dividing Qty/Qty per Box(Standard data)
    - These box number are saved in the table & becomes main tracing number for subsequent issue to the shopfloor
    - Barcode lable contains both lot number provided by vendor & Box number... Lot number provided by vendor is same for all boxes , but box numbers are different.
This seems like multiple batches/batch hierarchy , is there any way to model in SAP.
    Thanks in advance for help,

  • New batch creation during mvt 309 via MIGO

    Hi,
I'm doing a transfer posting material to material (movement type 309). I want the system to automatically create a new batch (for the receiving material).
I've set in OMJJ for movement type 309 to create batch automatic/manual without check
    I've also set M7199 from "W" to "E".
Once that was done, using MB1B, the system was able to automatically create a new batch for me based on the internal batch number range. However, when i tried the same movement using MIGO, it doesnt work. in MIGO, system always populate the "from" batch into the "dest" batch field.
Is there any way i can set so that in MIGO, the system to propose a new batch?
    many thanks in advance

Possibly, have a look at OSS 748216.

  • No New Batch number creation at the time of Material Transfer Movement(309)

We are upgarding from 4.6C to ECC6.0. We have an issue in regards with the material movement type 309. At the time of creating the material tranfer using the same material as issuer and receiver, the same plant and storage location ( this process is used by the business to diferentiate batches).
In 4.6C a new batch number is created automatically when 309 movement is posted; stock and characteristics transfered are allocated at the new batch created automatically.
The same case in ECC6.0 does not create a new batch as done in 4.6C. We have looked for any SAP note or forum discussion without success.
If anybody has an answer for this issue, let us know.

As a matter of fact these configuration has been checked before, additionally we compare configuration at 4.6C and ECC6.0 and it is the same but the new batch creation (for this specific case) is working at 4.6C, not at ECC6.0.

    I'm using B1 8.8 PL16.
I need to take some information in Goods Receipt lines in to the batch information. I tried the query $[$30.10.0] to do the FMS in a field of Batchs data. The query works if is in a goods receipt line but not in the field of bachs lines.
    Kind Regards,

    Dear Margarida,
The $ variable is only available to the current form. When you on the batch form, Goods Receipt line variable will not be available.

  • Batch creation after quality inspection

    Hello friends,
I am using a raw material with batch management. I dont want to create batch  when goods receipt takes place in MIGO . I want to create batch when i post quality stock to unrestricted use  after quality inspection.
    How can i do this?
    Please help me.
    Thanks!

    hi kiran
When you are creating a Gr for raw material (for which you have activated Batch MGt) ,If you do not enter Batch number then Batch number is  not be attched to raw material....but when you process the lot /take UD then By batch Magt you can create/asign batch to raw material.
this is possible in Batch MGt.
.I hope you have now created char (MIC with Class type 23) now You must have used it in QP01.
    2.Now create a lot using MSC1N
    3.create a inpecion lot(migo)
4.While result recoding system will ask for batch,Enter bach you have created in MSC1N..
    5.Take UD .save
All the char will be get copied to batch as per spro setting .these result can be seen in batch MSC3N.
    settings:
Go to QCC0->Quality inspection->Inspection lot completion-->transfer inspection decision to batch

  • 1 step approval good receipt with different Good Recipient

    Hi gurus,
We have implemented SRM 5.5 (SAPKIBKT09).
We are using standard WF's for goods receipt:WS10400002 1 step approval + WS10400010 Goods receipt without approval. This WF is working perfectly since using shop on behalf.
Managers don't want to create any shopping cart neither confirm them. So, EMPLOYEE creates a shopping cart on behalf MANAGER throught Screen "Shopping Cart Full Functionallity" selecting "MANAGER" in field SHOP FOR and "EMPLOYEE" in field good recipient.
After PO creation, Goods receipt without approval is working because EMPLOYEE is able to confirm the SC.
However, when there is an internal dispacther that confirms and the 1 step approval WF is triggered, the item is going to MANAGER inbox, not EMPLOYEE's. Remember that the good recipient is the EMPLOYEE not the MANAGER, the MANAGER is only the Requester.
Do you know why this is not working?
    Many thanks!
    Regards
    Patrícia

    Chriastian,
It is possible only by using split valuation or by creating two different material master.
Sorry i could not found any other way.

  • New batch number for Draft Good Receipt Purchase Order

    Hello,
    I'm using SBO 8.81
I'm looking for the table that contains the information about the batch number of a draft good receipt.
DRF16 contains quantity of batch, but when itu2019s new batch, they are not in OBTN yet (in the table, SBO define object type as 10000068 while itu2019s 10000044 for existing batch)
The query defined here  is not working as the batches are not in OBTN yet (not in stock)
I used the profiler trying to understand in which table these data are recorder, without success.
    Any idea ?
    Thank you for your help

Sorry, wrong forum, I recreate it under SDK

    Hi Sébastien,
The link is from DRF16 to ODBN:
    select * from DRF16 T0 inner join ODBN T1 on T0.ObjAbs = T1.AbsEntry
DRF16 has a zero-to-many relationship with DRF1 (ie draft lines)

  • Creation of new movement type for Goods Receipt

Is it possible to create a new movement type same as 101 (goods receipt)?  We need to create a separate movement type of 101 for the purpose of separating G/L account to be used for local and importation purchases.  Or is there any other way to separate the G/L account for GR of local and importation purchases without creating a new movement type?

You can create new Mvt type by copying Mvt type in OMJJ trxn ..
    Please follow the following steps
Check whether you can use the preset movement types.
If not, define new movement types as follows:
    1.  Once you have carried out the activity, the system displays a dialog
box for field selection. In this, you can restrict the movement
types you work with to various fields. To copy a movement type,
select the field  Movement type and choose Continue. The dialog box
        Define work area appears.
    2.  In the dialog box Define work area, enter the movement type you want
to copy in the From: field. In the To: field, enter the name of the
new movement type you want to create. To go to the overview of the
        selected movement types, choose Continue.
    3.  Select the movement type you want to copy, and choose Edit -> Copy
        as.
Overwrite the selected movement type with the new movement type
(beginning with 9, X, Y, or Z) and copy all dependent entries.
The system copies all control indicators from the reference movement
type to the new movement type.
    4.  Check all views for the new movement type and, if necessary, change
the control indicators. Please note that some views have a detail
        screen.
    5.  Copy the reversal movement type and enter it in the view
        Reversal/follow-on movement types.
    6.  Save your settings.

  • Early Inspection Lot Creation on Goods Receipt

I work for a company that melts steel into batches referred to as Heats.  Each of these Heats are processed through various steps to create tubing.  In the tubing operations multiple Heats are applied to production orders but the integrity of each Heat is always maintained.  If we do a Goods Issue for 6 Heats into a production order, we expect to do a Goods Receipt of 6 Heats from that production order and inherit all of the Heat related characteristics for each Heat processed.  At certain points we do laboratory tests for chemisties and properties of each Heat.  These tests are run while the order is being processed through other operations but need to be recorded against the batch.  We are thinking that we need to do Goods Receipt Inspection with Early Inspection Lot Creation.  It looks like this method will create a single Inspection Lot upon release of the Production order.  Is there a way to create multiple Inspection Lots that will correspond to Heat batches prior to the actual Goods Receipt?

6 partial GR (Heats) are done against 1 production order? Then, you will have one inspection lot and one usage decision for the entire lot (03 / 04: Goods Receipt Inspection with Early Inspection Lot Creation.).
Think this: Each heat can be one sample/ inspection point each, in case of early goods receipt. So, if you have 6 samples: 3 pass and 3 fails, then do the Usage decision on 3/6th of the quantity at the end of the test: this needs to done manual stock psting while doing the UD.
So, you do the inspection at the sample levels, but not at multiple inspection lot level.
There is a way to create mutiple inspection lots on partial GR for the same process order.
The logic lies like this, if your previous inspection lot is reset on usage decision, then you will get a new inspection lot when doing a partial GR.
If the UD is not reset case:
    (a) Usage decision open: It will increase the QI stock in the same inspection lot. This means no new inspection lot creation.
    (b) Usage decision done: It will post to unrestricted, thinking that the rest of the sample is OK!! So, again no new inspection lot creation.
This I tried on 04 inspection type. I am not sure on 03. Hope this helps!!

  • Creation of new batch while transfer posting

    Dear Experts,
Please guide me to meet the following requirement:
I am posting the Goods Receipt for the production order to the Quality stock by using indicator X in T Code MB31. The material is batch Managed and QM is not implemented.
Now after the Quality Inspection this batch is posted to Un-restricted Stock with movement type 321. Here the requirement is to create a new batch whereas system is setting the original batch (batch in QI stock) as receiving batch. My requirement is to have a new batch number here either automatically (incremental for internal number range) or could be entered manually.
But when I enter a new batch number the system throws an error message "Batch MATERIAL_NUMBER PLANT SLOC BATCH_NUM does not exist". Message no. M7042. The requirement is to post the stock to a new batch here.
Experts, kindly help me clear my understanding as where I am going wrong. How to be able to create a new batch here. Also how to generate a new batch number automatically during the goods movement.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rohit.

    Hi Rohit,
Sometime back, I have copied the below information from this forum for ref. Just check the usefulness of this information for your requirement.
You can further enquire about this with other gurus in this forum, before taking any decision.
Configure Customer Exits for intern. batch number assignment
You can use SAP enhancement SAPLV01Z for internal batch number assignment. This enhancement contains two function module exits that you can use to define number ranges or templates for batch numbers.
u2022     EXIT_SAPLV01Z_001. You use this exit to replace the number range object and/or interval proposed by the system with your own number range object and/or interval.
In addition, you can, for instance, stop the system from assigning an internal number depending on the material or plant. You can also use this exit to stop the dialog box from appearing.
u2022     EXIT_SAPLV01Z_002. Using this exit, you can either change the number assigned by the system, or assign your own number.
    Note
Both exits contain a communication structure with application data from the respective business transaction (plant or material type, for example). If you need further information, such as the time, the user name or the date, you must include them yourself in one of the exits.
The system always checks whether the assigned batch number already exists in the system. If it does, it terminates the function without assigning a batch number.
    Example
In function module exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_001, the system uses the material type to determine number range interval XY. This number range is then used to determine number 0000100123 as the next batch number .
In function module exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_002, the final batch number 'ABCD100123' is determined from batch number 0000100123 and plant ABCD. The system suppresses the leading zeros.
If you do not use a sequential counter for the batch number, you can skip internal number assignment in exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_001 to specify your own batch number in exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_002.
    Activities
    1. Implement the required enhancement.
Either create a new project or use an existing one.
    2. Activate the project.
Your enhancement works only after the project has been activated.

  • Goods Receipt DTW - Possible to update existing batch details?

    Hello experts,
Using the three templates OIGE, IGE1, and BTNT I've managed to perform some Inventory Adjustments BY BATCH using DTW.
The issue I am having is that some of the fields in BTNT are not updating in SAP despite a successful DTW instance depending on whether the batchnumber is pre-existing or is new.
If the batch already exists, quantities are being receiving as expected but additional data such as "Notes", "InternalSerialNumber", and even some user-defined fields we have created for Appearance, Inventory Tag Number, etc. will not update.  I have checked DTW mapping and it is setup correctly.
In fact, if the batch number defined in BTNT is NEW to the system these additional details load up as expected, only when it is a quantity update on the batch number do they not.  I thought that since the quantity of a pre-existing batch is being update successfully via this method the other "Batch Details" should update as well.
Can anyone provide insight as to whether it is possible (and if so how) to update these batch details during a Goods Receipt or Goods Issue DTW for pre-existing batches or will it only do it for a brand new batch #?
    Thanks very much,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,
Welcome you post on the forum.
I am afraid you could only update batch details when you imported them as new. You may only update the existing batch details through UI.
    Thanks,
    Gordon
