New-Cluster Report file location

Hi All,
I’m creating a cluster with new-cluster cmdlet and I need this to be a silent run.
New-Cluster
-Name $ClusterName
-Node $Node1,
$Node2,
$Node3 -NoStorage
-StaticAddress $IPAddress,$IPAddress2
*>&1 |
Out-Null
But I can’t get around the following output: Report file location: C:\Windows\cluster\Reports\Create Cluster Wizard <servername> on 2015.04.07 At 13.32.33.mht
I have tried it with:
$WarningPreference
= "SilentlyContinue"$VerbosePreference
= "SilentlyContinue"$DebugPreference
= "SilentlyContinue"$ProgressPreference
= "SilentlyContinue"
 $leeg
=  New-Cluster
-Name $ClusterName
-Node $Node1,
$Node2,
$Node3 -NoStorage
-StaticAddress $IPAddress,$IPAddress2
*>&1 |
Out-Null
$leeg
=  New-Cluster
-Name $ClusterName
-Node $Node1,
$Node2,
$Node3 -NoStorage
-StaticAddress $IPAddress,$IPAddress2
-verbose:$False
-Debug:$False
-OutVariable out
-WarningAction SilentlyContinue
-WarningVariable wout
| Out-Null
But I keep getting the following output on screen:
Report file location: C:\Windows\cluster\Reports\Create Cluster Wizard <servername> on 2015.04.07 At 13.32.33.mht
Best regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,
this is due to non-conformance with PowerShell best practices by the coder of the FailoverCluster-Module developer.
New-Cluster writes directly to the host and thus can't be suppressed this way.
You may have more luck handling this odd output by running this command within a job or runspace.
Cheers,
Fred

  • TestStand 2012 Report File Location variable

    Hi,
In TestStand 2010 SP1, I have the "report file path" as one of the column into the database using the RunState.Report.Location.  This has been working until I upgraded to TestStand 2012.  The RunState.Report.Location is always empty.  I also tried to use the RunState.Root.Locals.ReportFilePath but I get an error that this is an unknow variable when logging to the database.  Even when removing the <UUTStatus> from the file path expression below, there is no difference.
I am using the following report file path expression:
    "C:\\TSReports\\<UUTStatus>\\<ClientFileName>_Report[<FileDate>][<FileTime>][UUT]_<UUTStatus>.<FileExtension>"
Which variable contains the report file path in TestStand 2012.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I haven't tried it, but RunState.Report.Location might work if you set the New Thread option on the Report and Database to False (assuming the report is first in the list) so you can be sure that the Report has been generated before you check that value.
You have to set the Configure>>Result Processing>>Show More Options to see the New Thread options.
This should give you access to the path of the Displayed report (the one with the checkmark in the Display column). However, in TS 2012, you can have any number of reports.
There is a new callback, GetReportFilePath, you can add to your sequences to obtain the report paths as they are determined. You could store the paths in a station global or runtime variable for later use if needed.

  • Default Report File location for BIP

    Hi Experts,
Is there a way to change the File Location on where a BIP report is generated, whether via adhoc or a scheduled method?
Any helpful inputs is highly appreciated :)
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Based on my tested in my environment, I went to set the Default File Location via group policy.
Word: Microsoft Word 2013/Word Options/Advanced/File Location/ and change the Default File Location
Excel: Microsoft Excel 2013/Excel Options/Save and change Default file location
Both of them works fine. As you said " However, Group Policy will set it in Excel." Does it mean that you set Word and Excel via two group policies at the same time, but it only works in Excel?
If it is, please try to re-download and change the
    Word ADMX to test.
If the issue still exist, please try to use Gpresult command Or RSOP to check group policy result on client.
When troubleshooting group policy issues, we use the gpresult command to confirm whether GPOs are really applied to the client (computer/user). You can run the following command in a command prompt:
    gpresult /z > c:\policy.txt
For more details about the usage of command Gpresult, please refer to the following link:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb490915.aspx
When you read the output, the c:\policy.txt file in this sample, please
examine the results of the report to find the answers to these questions.
Does the report list the particular GPO as applied?
Is the setting listed in the report?
Is the GPO listed in the Denied List

  • Report File location

    Hi,
Where does the java reporting component(JRC) look for the report source in case the CRConfig file is not present in the classpath?
    Regards,
    Anushree

    Hello Anushree,
-When creating a report source using the Java Reporting Component, the report's path can be specified by using either a relative or absolute path.
-When using relative paths, the path is specified relative to the location of the Java Reporting Component on the web server. For example, ../reports/sample.rpt resolves to /WEB-INF/reports/sample.rpt where the Java Reporting Component JAR file is in /WEB-INF/lib. The value of the reportlocation tag becomes the new root directory that is used to determine the location of a report.
-If the reportlocation tag is not present, the Java Reporting Component uses absolute paths.
-When using absolute paths, the Java Reporting Component will also look in the location of your web application's resources. For example, you can place your report into the classes folder and then specify the name of the report directly in your JSP file (with no path). In this case, the Java Reporting Component will find the report.
-To use absolute paths, ensure that the CRConfig.xml file does not contain a reportlocation tag.
    Thanks,
    Chinmay

  • Where to add new jsp reports directory location in path

    hi all,
where can i add a another location to the path of jsp reports.
currently jsp reports i have to copy at one location only i.e.
    OH/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/applications/reports/web/examples/Tools
like REPORTS_PATH env variable in OH/bin/reports.sh, can i add one more location to it.
    regd

REPORTS_PATH cannot be used for locating jsp reports (when you are running web layout). You have to keep jsp files under document root that is OH/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/applications/reports/web directory. You can create sufbolders under this directory and keep jsp files.
For example if you keep jsps in a folder named 'myjsps' under web folder, URL to access the jsp will be
    http://host:port/reports/myjsps/test.jsp? .....

  • Getting Report File Path location at execution in TestStand 2012 and later

I need to include PNG pictures into my TestStand Report (HTML, XML, ATML).
When report generation was made through plugins (before TestStand 2012), it was easy to get report file location during execution through variable RunState.Root.Locals.ReportFilePath in order to save PNG files near the report file (in same directory).
I didn't find yet an easy an simple way to do the same in TestStand 2012 with Result Processing Plugins.
    Any idea ?
    Remarks :
Since this functionnality has to be included within MESULOG TS+ last version which is a TestStand Add-on, I cannot modify Report Options, Process Model or include a callback (like GetReportFilePath.
In need ReportFilePath within a Custom Step Type which cannot wait for PostUUT or ReportGeneration to save its PNG files.

    jiggawax,
Thank you for you quick answer.
RunState.Root.Locals.ModelPluginConfiguration.Plugins[<plugin index>].PluginSpecific.Options.Directory is valid only if
RunState.Root.Locals.ModelPluginConfiguration.Plugins[<plugin index>].PluginSpecific.Options.DirectoryType is set to "SpecificDirectory".
It seems that I cannot get the complete ReportFilePath before "UUT Done" plugin entry which is after MainSequence execution.

  • Where to put jsp web report files on Oracle reports server/ Oracle AS

    Dear All,
I am trying to deploy my Oracle web reports on Oracle Reports Server 10g.
I have designed a sample web application for the same and deployed it on Oracle Application Server.
What is given in the online help:
Transfer the report file ( RDF, REP, XML, or JSP) and its associated files (for example, PLL, PLX or referenced images) to the deployment directory on your application server.
Ensure the directory on the application server where you've transferred the file is listed in the Reports Server access path. If it is not, use the REPORTS_PATH environment variable, or set the sourceDir property of the Reports engine element in the server configuration file.
    Now few questions:
What is the case if Application server and Reports server are different?
The reports files are to be put on Oracle AS or Oracle Reports server? In my case both are same.
    1. I have tried to put the JSP files in the folder where index.html of web application is located. But it wont work and gives some error. The tld related jar is placed in the WEB-INF\lib directory.
    2. I also tried to put it in a folder and referred that folder by creating an environment variable REPORTS_PATH over Reports server. But Reports server wont find it.
Please guide me in this issue.

  • Help required in embedding flash file object into Crystal Report file.

    Hello,
I use the default version of Crystal Report (i.e.'Crystal Report Basic For Visual Studio 2008 - version 10.5' ) which is the part of 'Visual Studio 2008', to create and display the Report. Further, as a requirement, I have to show 'Event Video' into the Report. But, as this default version of Crystal Report does not support Flash File, I uninstalled it and downloaded and installed the 30 days trial version of the Crystal Report (i.e. Crystal Report 2008 - version 12.0).
Then, I created a new Crystal Report File using 'Crystal Report 2008 Designer', embedded the video as a Flash File(i.e. SWF file) into it. Now,  when I add this newly created Crystal Report File into my sample application, which is created using VS 2008, it does not shows the embedded video.
So, can anybody please tell me, how can I embed the Flash File into Crystal Report, so that it will be visible in the sample application?
I would like to appreciate your help and support.
    Thanks,
    -Yogesh.

  • URL to run a report file that is not located in $ORACLE_HOME/reports dir

    All,
I know very little about configuring reports on the web.
We have had a 10g App Server running for several years. All of our reports files so far have been located in the Middle Tier's $ORACLE_HOME/reports directory.
We now have a need to create sub-directories under the reports directory and run reports out of those sub-directories.
After poking around the documentation, I'm not seeing how to do this.
    For example:
$ORACLE_HOME/reports (has some legacy reports files in it)
$ORACLE_HOME/reports/EI22 (new directory where we want to put EI22 related reports)
$ORACLE_HOME/reports/EI23 (new directory where we want to put EI32 related reports.....etc)
Normally, to run my reports in the $OH/reports directory, I use an URL like the following:
    http://hostname.domainname/reports/rwservlet?report=reportfilename.rdf&userid=uname/pwd@dbname&desformat=html&destype=cache
How would I run a report file that now resides in the EI22 or EI23 directory?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

As far as I know there is only one SourceDir property, you can assign multiple folders to it ... then at runtime you do not specify anything else in the URL, the reports server will look into each directory in the SourceDir (in order) for the report that you're trying to execute...
If you have multiple versions of the same report located in the same server, then that's tricky because at runtime the reports server will execute the one from the directory where it finds it first.
I personally prefer setting the REPORTS_PATH and having multiple ENVID sections that way in the URL I directly specify the ENVID which where the report is to be executed from...
Here at work we used it for multiple applications with totally independent folders, so each application uses its own ENVID to invoke the reports.
If you do not care/want this type of structure then use the SourceDir property that Andreas has mentioned and you do not need to add anything to your URL.

  • Crystal Report 2008 - File Locations

I'm running out of space on the OS partition (C drive) and want to change the default location(s) in Crystal Report so when reports are created and run,  they use space on the D drive.

    Hello,
Not exactly clear what you want? Save your reports to your D drive would be my first guess.... If you are referring to the \temp folder then change your system Environment Variable from the default to d:\temp and also change the TMP to d:\Tmp.
You could even set your Swap file to d drive also. I suggest you contact your IT department or search Microsoft's site on how to optimize hard drive space when it's limited. PLEASE back up everything first before making changes to your swap file location, if you don't do it right you may not be able to start windows.
    Thank you

  • Overwrite crystal report file name with new version but keep history

I am writing a Crystal Reports .NET SDK in C# code to upload a crystal report files from its destination to CMC folder on BO XI R2 Platform.
On "Upload Button" click_event, validate the two check boxes controls named "Keep History", and "Remove History". Once "Keep History" check box is selected, check If the SAME report file name exists in the same destination CMC folder, if Yes, overwrite it BUT Keep the History and all its associated objects like "recurring objects". If "Remove History" is selected, then remove the existing report and upload the new report file name.
Please provide me some codes on how to do this task. This is definitely a "WIN" - "WIN" effort and contribution to my Team Goals.
P.S. This is a similar scenario when you are uploading report on BO Enterprise R2 CMC.
When Uploading a new report to a folder but same report file name exists, the BO System will promt message "Report File Name" already exists. Do you want to Overwrite it?" If Yes, then system will overwrite the file but it will keep the history and recurring objects.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Scheduling a report with output (excel) to file location

Able to schedule a webi report and output format to excel and destination to file location.
Report is running at scheduled time/interval and writing the output excel file onto file location on BO server. The issue is, its creating the file extension in uppercase (ex: testfile.XLS). Is there a way to control the file extension to be lowercase.
Also tried to force "testfile.xls" (with extension in lowercase) in the instance title of report scheduler but still creating extension with uppercase (ex: testfile.XLS).
    Any pointers ??
    Environment - BO XIR3.1

    Hi,
I believe you can do this by switching the view to Excel and turning off the use job server defaults. You can then enter the name and extension as well as the destination folder.

  • Trying to move my iTunes Music and other media from the main drive on my pc to an external hard drive but iTunes is not recognizing the new file location?  Ideas?

Trying to move my iTunes Music and other media from the main drive on my pc to an external hard drive but iTunes is not recognizing the new file location?  Ideas?

    Hello there, Underwriter.
The following Knowledge Base article provides in-depth instructions on how to migrate your content to an external drive:
iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4527
Particularly of note for your situation:
    External drive
This option requires more work than Home Sharing, but it creates a backup of your iTunes library on the external drive in addition to moving your content.
    Notes before you start:
You can use most iPods as an external drive.
Windows operating systems don't recognize Mac OS-formatted disks (HFS or HFS Plus formats). Because of this, you can't use a Mac-formatted iPod or external drive to move your music to a Windows PC. See iPod: How to determine iPod's hard disk format if you're not sure how your iPod is formatted.
Mac OS X can read Windows-formatted iPods and drives. This means there are many ways to migrate your information from your old Windows-based PC to your new Mac.
Mac OS X: To be sure external drives appear on your desktop, choose Preferences from the Finder menu. Be sure the options for "External disks" and "Hard disks" are enabled.
Part 1: Locating and consolidating the iTunes Media folder
Part 2: Copy iTunes folder from the old computer:
Part 3: Get iTunes ready on your new computer
Part 4: Back up any music that's already on your new computer
Part 5: Copy music to your new computer
Part 6: Add preexisting music that was on the new computer back into the library
