New field Special posting date in GCU1
Hi Friends,
I am having a issue. my client wants to add a new field SPl posting date in GCU1. He wants to transfer some MM originating documents to Spl at this date instead of respective posting dates of those documents.
Kindly advice how this can be done.

copy the standard program as Z program. add the field in selection-screen and for selection of data include logic for checking the newly added field.

Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at sales document header level. It is described in the section "Transfer of the customer master fields into the sales document".
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBAK_FUELLEN.

Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at sales document item level. It is described in the section "Copy customer master fields into the sales document".
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBAP_FUELLEN.

Adding new field to Master Data
Hi All,
I have one master data which is business content.
i need to add one custom field in that with the status information of records. that new field will get data from R/3 status table via extractor from CMOD.
now this Master data is having delta.
my confusion is if i add new field in it how the delta will react ? coz there are different status - eg. when user create the status - it will be "created" that time delta will pick up that record coz it has been changed. Now if user changes status to "closed" or "in transit" how delta will react ?
i meant is it doable to do like that ? any guidance will be appreciated.

Your master data extractor will continue to give your existing fields- as for delta - it depends on how the delta is managed - you would have to find that oiut - is it on timestamp / date et etc... ?
CMOD will change only the extract structure and whenever this datasource is called - CMOD fills in the additional field - nothin about delta / init here...

Populated the new field with historic data
HI,
I have a data for 2 years now I am enhancing the data source how can I populated the new field with historic data.Is it by
1)deleting all the data in BW side and the doing an init then setting up a regular delta
2)running a repair full request with selection condition.
or is there any other option available? which is the best scenario to load these historic data?

I think your datasource is already in production, and you want to data only from today onwards for enhanced fields, i.e. historical data is not required for enhanced fields..
1.Fix ECC down time for 20 to 30 munities
2. Keep all objects on Qty system in ECC and BW.
3.Run Delta laods in BW for 2 to 3 times.So with this step you can clear SMQ1 and RSA7. Check the entries in RSA7, if it is ZERO then it is fine.
4. Move DS from ECC Qty to ECC PROD .
5. Replicate in BW.
6. Move all BW objects from BW Qty to BW Prod.
7. Delete Init load in InfoPackage level (Not in ODS/CUbe).
8.Load Init without DataTransfer.
9.Then Run Delta.
10. Next day on wards deltas will come as usual.
If you need Historical data also.
1.Delete data in Cube.
2.Fix Down Time and load Init then Delta.

Special Ledger Data Transfer GCU1 Splitting rule "Z12/SKIP/0001"
Hello experts,
when transfering documents from financial accounting into a special ledger (GCU1) I get the error message "Keine Aufteilungsregel definiert zu Z12/SKIP/0001" (No splitting rule defined for Z12/SKIP/0001).
Under Financial Accounting (New) --> Special Purpose Ledger --> Actual Posting --> Settings for Accounting Integration --> Document Splitting --> Additional Activities --> Define Splitting rule the function "automatically split" is not checked for the named categories. Is my category missing or do I have to check the "automatically split"? Can anyone help me on this?
Do I have to use a different transaction for transfering documents if new G/L is active?

r u using Spl gl for first time.i would like to know if the entry is coming for the first time.
r u getting error at that time.
pl specify. if using for first time, new fields and new tables will get activated , so system at time of posting will check consistency with std and spl gl tables.
we need to run consistency program REZZGLEX to get this consistency error to be resolved

Functionality: Adding new custom fields to confirmation tab. During Inbound delivery in confirmation tab (Item data) if 'Confirmation category' is selected then the new custom fields should show up below for input & they can be saved.
if 'Confirmation category' is not selected then new custom fields should be invisible.

How to reflect a new field in Bank data while making payment through F-53?
Hello Experts,
How can i reflect a new field (payment reference) in bank data while making payment through F-53?
I have tried to do it by Field status group(OBC4) but the same is replicating in vendor invoice but not in vendor payment.
I tried it at both level,fsg anf posting key,But no use.
Is there any other process to make available and required field in BANK DATA of vendor payment?

Please consider note 145864 which explains what you have to do to
make this field visible in your selection criteria:
"In Transaction FB00 (Financial Accounting Editing Options -> Open items
activate the flag 'Payment reference as selection criterion'.
This is valid for incoming payment; please test if the same procedure
is valid for outgoing payment as well.
I check the issue, and unfortunately these function seems to not be supported for vendor open items.
When you try to select the 'Payment Reference' in Additional selections
the following messages is arised:
'No account specified, items selected via document no. or reference'
That means,when you do not specify an account in F-53 you can only
via Reference and/or document. This is not a bug but system design.
For additional reference you can check the note 451105.
The note made clear that the specification of an account is required for vendors during the selection via payment
reference.

How to modify (add a new field) existing SOAP data source ?
Dear Friends,
I am getting data from Legacy databases (from different Views) mapped to the BW through XI.
There is an existing SOAP Data source which is mapped to the non-R/3 source system Views through XI.
My question is:
Now I wanted to add a new field to the existing SOAP Data source, which will be mapped to the newly added field in the source system by XI.
Please advice how could I modify the existing SOAP data source?

VenkatMy plan is to add the new InfoObject(field)/BIC/ZXXX in the Datasource --> Map that field to the Info Object Zxxx in Comm Str. --> Extras (menu) --> Create BW Data source with SOAP connection --> Regenerate the PROXY --> so that now the XI guys could map the new Infoobject in my Datasource to the new field in the Legacy database tables
But why is that I am not able to add a new field in the Datasource ? I am trying this way: RSA1 --> Infosource tab --> Dbl. click on the existing Datasource --> here...I am trying to add new field in the Datasource...
is there any other special place where I could add a new field to the existing SOAP Datasource ?

Update new field with existing data programmatically
I have a requirement to write a code that update an existing lookup field.
We are running sharepoint 2010. We have a content type, which is used throughout all the sites. The content type has a field called Product, which is a lookup field for all the products we have. The field also contains subproducts. For example, a product
by name PR1000 has a subproduct PR1010 all in the same drop down menu.
Now we want to change this grouping and separate them based on product and subproduct. I have created new field called Parent Product (PP) and Child Product(CP).
I would like to programmatically update the Parent Product field with Product and Child PRoduct field with child product if any. So here is how it works; if an existing item or document has product PR1010, I would to update PP with PR1000 and CP with 1010.
The problem I am having in order to start this project is the product field is part of every document library and lists and there are 1000s of items with data for product.
Please help with ideas or suggestions. I am thinking of a feature event receiver, which when activated will automatically update every item with product field not empty.

script. use feature event receiver when it require on the selected site and if this require to extend
other sites so that contol will be at your end,else you need to again modified the powershell script.

Adding new fields to the data flow
Hi,
I am currently planning to add some new fields in one DSO and map it (with info source) in the update rules.
Will adding new fields to Info source - Comm. structure affect all the update rules connected to it?
The info source is connected to multiple DSO.
(The data source is currently under enhancement for these fields). Once this is done, we have to replicate it to BW.

Once the enhancement is done for data source in r/3 side, you will have to replicate the datasource in BW.
Adding new fields will deactivate the update rules. You have to map the same in update rule and activate the same.
This will require activation of transformations, update rules, etc for related DSOs. Try to find out the where used list for the DSO where you want to add the new objects. Then check each objects whether these are activate after the changes. If these are inactive, you will have to activate all the objects.

else u can also assign any date related field's data element and domain to newly created field.

I was working in a specific project (ZBUPA) as you can see in the following images. I don´t know what I've changed but now the icon of the enhancement of the project is like a red broken box (Errors occurred if you look for it at the legend), and the task has got a prohibit icon (Processed with Errors).
