New Ipad (3) blocks after 2 month usage.

When we were in New York we bought the New Ipad as a present for my sister in law. We asked if we could use the Ipad in Belgium with a Belgian micro-sim, the answer was positive. So we bought the Ipad (Verizon), once arrived in Belgium my sister in law bought a belgian micro-sim and replaced the Verizon sim with a Mobistar micro-sim.
For 2 months she could use the Ipad without any problems, thous the last few weeks its starts to block (not abble to touch the screen, continue in an app, switch it off....) for longer periods.
She went to an Aplle store in Belgium and they said the problems was that the Ipad was bought in the US with a Verzizon SIM-card. That causes the blocking and they can not help us any further. So she contacted Apple Belux, but she got the same message an dthey told het to contact the Apple store in New York. No help was possible.
Has anyone experienced this problem too?
Any possible solutions?

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
  • TS3367 my new ipad has blocked without any responce with tapping the screen
    new ipad was working very well , suddenly had blocked without response on tapping the screen i have message facetime passwod , i write password but no response even tapping the log in or the cancel, i tried to close it but no reponse , even to move side to unlock , no respone at all
    Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
  • Love my new ipad.  But after upgrading to ios7 Safari became dodgy.  Now it is frozen in a white screen and nothing will free it.  Everything else on the ipad works fine. I deleted data, history, cookies, etc.  Same problem.  No change after power down.
    Everything worked fine on my new ipad.  After I upgraded to ios7 it still worked fine even if it looked very different.  But Safari started acting strangely (it is starting the same thing on my iPhone 4s, too).  Finally, it froze in state with no URL, no keyboard will come up, I can get Safari to close and start, but not actually function.  I went into settings and deleted all the cookies, data, history, and so forth.  Same state.  I powered down the iPad and restarted.  Same state.  I tried a trick were I held down the button to bring up the power down stripe and then holding down the home button.  Same state.
    What can I do?  Can I delete Safari and re-install it somehow?  Should I take it to an Apple store?
    If powering down with hard reset (press and hold two buttons Power and home) will not give positive results follow that article
  • New iPad (3) overheat after fully charge
    My New iPad (iPad3) has been very hot especially along the left edge and so hot that the iPad cannot be hold on hand.  It has happened twice, both incidents after a fulls cycle charge by Kingsoft Battery Doctor.  Put the iPad into sleep mode did not help.  I ran the System Activity Minitor and the CPU was using only 4% and I was doing simple tasks like reading eBooks without using Cellular data or WiFi.  Power off was the only way to stop it getting hotter.  The New iPad didn't get so hot if it didn't start from full cycle charge.
    You are using third-party software to control the battery charging.  I'm not sure why you think that's a good idea.  It reads as though the software is damaging the battery by attempting to overcharge it.  If you take your device to Apple for inspection, I'd bet that you'd be told that using the software violates your warranty.  Regardless, try removing the software, and see if your device works properly.
  • New iPad 3 stuck after iOS 6.0.1 download
    I have a new iPad 3 right out of the box.  Being aware of the software update needed to 6.0.1, I did that immediately.  I initially tried to sync via iTunes (I have an iMac) and when update was completed and iTunes synched, the ipad freezes on the grey iPad screen with the slide to unlock rotating in new languages but unresponsive.  I've restored and recovered the iPad several times with and without the backup from the initial update with the same result, a stuck screen.  The only action I can perform is resetting by holding the power and home buttons down.  Power down doesn't work because the touch screen altogether is unresponsivel.  I've read many threads on similar problems that all seem to lead to restoring the iPad which doesn't solve my issue.
    Try removing any all-day events from the calendar for the 1st April 2013 e.g. if you are syncing the calendar from somewhere else (e.g. Outlook on a PC or iCal/Calendar on a Mac) then change it to a timed event instead of all-day (if you don't sync your calendar from anywhere then try going into list view, go to 1st April and change any 'all day' events to times e.g. change Easter Monday to start at something like 4am) - it seems that there is a problem with all day events on that date which is when the clocks change due to daylight saving.
  • My new ipad 2 freezes after using the internet for about 15 minutes. It is properly connected to the network and works fine after I re-start it but it is very annoying to have to re-start it every so often. All other laptops on the internet work fine.
    My ipad 2 freezes when using the internet. Re-starting the ipad fixes the problem but it is very annoying to have to do this. I have tried all of the trouble shooting suggestions including re-joining the network. All other laptops work fine on my network. I think there is something wrong with my new ipad.
    I recommend two things before taking your iPad back to the Apple Store.
    1.  Fully close safari, by going to your home screen, then double tapping your home button to bring up your most recently used Apps.  Using your finger, hold it on any of the used Apps until they jiggle.  At this point, you'll see a to the top left of each App.  Touch the sign on Safari, which will fully close it.
    Then.......
    2.  Reboot your iPad.  Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (hold past the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  You won't lose any settings or data.
    If that does not help, then make an appointment at the Apple store to have your iPad checked.
  • New iPad user; confused after apple ID change of password and email address. New details NOT recognised by iCloud and actual iPad? Help! Thank you
    I'm new to my iPad & Apple!
    I have updated/ changed details within my Apple ID; email, contact details and changed password.
    This has worked & recognised when using updated password for use with Apple's web site (e.g. Able to login to this site) & all other apps with the EXCEPTION of iCloud and also my actual iPad ("internal/own" software/OS I would presume?!).
    Shortly after turning my iPad on, the Apple ID request pops up showing my old email address. I have tried entering old & new passwords which both fail. I now cancel this request and continue ok.
    This also happens with iCloud: as just mentioned, the request for Apple ID comes up with old email address and neither old or new passwords are accepted (& therefore I can not back-up to iCloud).
    Can anyone help please?
    With anticipated appreciation and thanks,
    NJohnR
    (Maybe I should mention that while I live in the UK; Scotland, I am currently on holiday in France while I have made further changes to my ID password, though was at home when made initial changes).
    I have resolved this problem!
    I try &change my email details within my iPad's iCloud settings. Though the primary (old) email could not be changed.
    So I took advice from further searches here & on the iCloud site & went ahead and deleted my iCloud account. Success! Immediately after deleting the account I had a request to open & login to a new iCloud account with my new Apple ID login details already there (showing my new email address & requesting my password- all which worked fine). Also I have not lost any files.
    I hope that this may help someone else in the future.
    Happy Appleing all
  • My ipad is blocked after update asking me to enter a code that I do not have
    Please I need some help, I was proposed today to update my ipad and uknowingly I just clicked on to launch the update. Now it's asking me to enter a code to install the update but I do not have nor received any code for that, I tried to enter my apple account password just to see if can work but without success. Now it's completely blocked on this only display and if I try to enter any code again it deactivate my ipad. I do not know what to do. Please help! Thanks a lot for your kind attention.
    You were most likely asked to create a code. That passcode is then used to unlock the device. This is turned on by the installation of iOS 7 as a security measure. Once the installation completes you can turn this off if you want but you must have the passcode to do that.
    If your iPad is now locked you will have to connect to iTunes on your computer to restore the device. Be sure to install the latest version of iTunes which is 11.1 or greater. When restoring you will most like have to enter the Apple ID and password that was used previously on the device.
  • My iPad is blocked after I tried to update
    Tried to update my iPad now it's blocked asking to connect to a computer once I do it it tells me I might loose my info do I loose everything in iPad if I reset to original settings?
    Hi there
    Have you tried doing a hard reset before doing anything (Home button + Power button for 11 secs or untill you see apple logo).
    If this hasint fixed your problem you better hope you have a backup either on iCloud or on your computer because your going to have to reset it im sorry to say.
    This problem may of been caused by interuption of instaling the update.
  • Brand new New IPad freezes all the time, on everything
    I bought a New IPad a little over a month ago, to replace an aged laptop for my wife. Unfortunately the New IPad freezes all the time, about every five minutes, sometimes sooner, sometimes later. It freezes on pretty much everything, Safari, Chrome, even app store. I've tried reset, upgrading to IOS 6, pretty much everything I know off. I checked message usage, which is low, and I constantly make sure there isn't many apps running. But nothing helps. To me it's really a piece of crap. Very very frustrating.
    My observation, although not very conclusive, is that everytime it freezes, it's in the middle of network activity.
    Once it freezes, home button doesn't work at all, so no way to switch app, or kill an app.
    Has anyone experienced the same? it's more likely a hardware issue, such as memory chip problem?
    Any idea or suggestion to help, I'll appreciate.
  • I bought The New iPad 36 days ago...
    I'm just frustrated that I held out for years and waited to buy an iPad. I did, finally and I love it. Absolutely love it. I will say this: when I bought it, I had one concern - the 30-pin dock connector. On my old iPod touch, I had that thing fixed 3 times, so I was skeptical. Apple Genius told me that it had been updated since my touch, and was much more sturdy, so I jumped. Again I love it. I loved the iPad so much, I abandoned Android for an iPhone 5 and fell in love with lightning and immediately said to myself "ok, new ipad comes out in a few months so by then I can decide if it's worth it to trade up for lightning." Well, by a few months, Apple meant a few days, thus making me feel like a *******.
    So here I am, owner of an iPad that is 36 days old (64GB +4G Verizon). The one thing I wanted fixed on it when I bought is now fixed on this updated one. Apple, though it makes no sense from a business perspective in terms of making a profit, but please offer your customers (like me) who feel somewhat frustrated. Had I waited a week, I could just return my iPad and wait a month for this one that is considerably better in terms of durability. And think about it: say what you want about lightning, but this hopefully this won't crap out. For me, just jumping into present day Apple, I don't have many cables anyway so I've been buying lightning for my iPhone and if I had waited for an iPad with it, man is that money or what?
    Comments? If you have a valid argument against me feeling like a d-bag for spending so much 36 days ago only for a new shiny toy to come out, I'm all ears.
    OH! I didn't ask a question: Apple, will you give customers who bought an iPad AND AppleCare or something an opportunity to swap out? I mean, I'd give you like a hundred bucks for that.
    This time, apple really screws up customers! I just bought new ipad over 1 and half month ago, and unfortunately, I am not legitimated to exchange. Apple should give at least gift card or refund the money they over-charge the product which is merely 6 month old, now outdated. Apple is a real ****! I was once a loyal customer to apple, now I decided to turn other platform, apple is no longer trust worthy company anymore. They just want the profit, but not the innovation! I really miss you , Steve!
  • How to Copy backup to new ipad
    How to Copy backup to new ipad?
    Do you mean this via icloud. Today i had my ipad3 exchanged under warranty (dust under the screen)(Thankyou apple for easy replacement). I had to set up ipad as new. Then check what ios version i had on this new ipad (it was 5) the icloud version from my previous ipad was 6 which was preventing my new ipad accepting the upload from the icloud. First i updated the software on new ipad to ios6 , after that had completed , i had to reset and erase settings again.  Then new ipad could see my old icloud account and downloaded it. All is back on. Happy days.
  • New iPad Air Stuck
    Hi! I tried to download an app from iTunes and from the App Store on my new iPad Air.  After hitting "download" a pop-up screen appeared "Download Now," the name of the app, and "ok".  I've hit ok but nothing happens.  It's stuck.  Help!
    Try giving it a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds or so and see if it reboots.
  • New iPad mini overheats
    Hi,
    I got a new iPad mini retina about a month ago. Many times the battery gets warm (occassionally very warm) when I use the device, although not so warm that I get a warning message. I also realized it tends to get warm when I'm charging it, especially at the "home button area". Can this happen due to the fact the weather is getting hot? I read somewhere heat kills the battery. Is this true? What can I do to avoid overheating?
    Thanks much!
