New ipod 20gb music quiz game

I was playing the music quiz game last night and today i go to play it again it comes up saying "error no music found" the music on my ipod is working just fine so I dont know what it is. can someone help me?

what exactly happens when i reset my ipod?
Resetting your iPod is exactly the same thing as rebooting your PC. It simply restarts the Operating System (OS) of the iPod. No files are touched.
Updating involves loading a new version of the OS onto the iPod. Again, no user files are touched.
Restoring completely wipes the iPod clean and puts it back to the original factory condition. All user files are deleted. The version of the Updater software you use will determine the OS version that gets reloaded into the iPod.

I have just got a new ipod touch but my game centre games are on the old one and i don't want to start them again, can I transfer the stage i'm at or anything?

The progress for some games will transfer since some games synce progress to a cental server. For other games you will have to have the backup of the old iPod.
You can restore from backup or access the backup. See:
How to transfer game saves between iOS devices, without iTunes, and without jailbreaking | TUAW - The Unofficial Apple Weblog
If you have acces to the old iPod yu can make a backup by connecting the iPod to the computer and right click on the iPOd under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up. Then restore from that backup.

    Hi Martha
Some others in iPod discussions solve theirs troubles :
    - by buying and installing 1 Firewire card (6-pin port) + the Apple 6-pin FireWire cable : $ 70 - $ 110 or more for both items (good idea if the problem comes from the USB 2.O port and cable, so with FireWire connection created by Apple you just avoid any USB 2.0 connection. But, if you can quickly tranfer some songs and play them on the iPod... it doesen't sound like 1 USB 2.0 connection to me),
    - by connecting iPod on 1 Apple Computer. Know this is not THE solution. But so you can check if the problem comes from
your iPod or/and your USB 2.0 connection and at the end you temporarily can iPod all your songs. If you don't know somebody with an Apple computer, I'm quit sure... if you can go to 1 Apple store and explain this, they will let you check your iPod and USB 2.0 cable, hope so at least.
Since the 9.28 8pm, I just can't install iTunes 5.0.1.4, as soon as the installation process is complete, WinXPsp2 always display the same error msg :
« iTunes has had a problem and must close … sorry for… " ... even brand new files downloaded again and again and .... at Apple.com (http://appldnld.m7z.net)
For me, even if iTunes 5.0.1.4 is already on the market, this iTunes update is definitively not Windows XPsp2 compatible yet.
So, still waiting a working iTunes (n) version truly XPsp2 compatible from Apple/Microsoft people, and quickly because
warranty time is running and I still want to be able to exercise my warranty rights before the end of it.
    Good luck

  • New iPod missing music

I just got a new iPod touch to replace the one I lost. The problem is I download some music to that iPod and it isn't on the new one. I don't want to pay for all of them again and keeps saying I already down load these songs, so is there away I can get back all the music I bought with my iPod with out having to pay for them again?

iTunes automatically syncs everything you’ve downloaded or purchased on iPod touch to your iTunes library when you connect iPod touch to your computer. Just sync your new iPod to iTunes.
If you never synced your previous iPod to iTunes, the songs won't be there and you'll have to buy them again.

  • How do I delete album artwork that came w/ a brand new ipod =no music on it

I recently purchased a new ipod Classic (80 gig) at a nationwide electronics store. The first time I turned it on it had an album cover of Manu Chao on the Main Menu. There is no music on the ipod yet the album cover is there. The store's corporate office says that they sell returned ipods as new ones. I am guessing that since there is no music on the ipod there is no way to delete this album cover through iTunes. It appears to be deeply embedded in another file or ID3 Tag ... I don't understand much at all about where to start. If anyone has encountered this problem or if anyone knows how to find where the image is stored (which file) and remove it, please let me know. You all are great! Thanks!

Hi, rebuilding your iPod's artwork cache should sort this out...
    *Rebuilding Artwork Cache*
To rebuild the artwork cache, connect your iPod to iTunes. Locate the iPod in the Sources pane on the left-hand side, then select the Music tab. Remove the tick from *Display album artwork on your iPod*, sync the iPod, reselect the option & sync again.
You are probably best making a samll single album playlist to do a trial sync with. That way it should be easy to tell if the unwanted artwork has been removed. If that still doesn't work then do a full restore.

  • I just bought a new iPod 160GB (my iPod 120GB crashed).  After syncing my music from iTunes on the new iPod, the music doesn't nearly as good as on the other iPod

I just bought a new 160GB after my 120GB crashed.  After syncing my new iPod with my music in iTunes, I'm noticing the music isn't as clear or bassy as it was on my old iPod.  The EQ is off on the new one just as it was on the old iPod so that isn't the issue.  Anyone have any ideas why I'm having this problem?

Are you comparing it off earphones, iPod issued earplugs or Hifi Stereo deck?
The new 160GB iPod Classic, have been reported to have poorer audio quality than earlier 5th Gen models. Even using EQ Bass booster make it much worse, but not too sure about your 120GB model,
My thoughts - it was due to the Audio chip replacement, but then your 120GB Audio chip would be about the same as the 160GB 6th Gen, but maybe the firmware 1.1.2 codec handling was better. Your 160GB firmware would be 2.0.4
But some people has full of praise for the new 160GB, saying his music sound 'heavenly',
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/17122334#17122334
so it depends on the genre of music you like, but some people are happy by just switching from low to high impedance headphones or vice versa.
    Have a nice day!

  • Can't sync new ipod nano - music not added

My old ipod was stolen...bought a new ipod nano and I'm trying to sync...went to account to edit and tried to change computers...clicked on change country but there is still $.13 left on the account so it will not let me change computers...help please

    Hey danlizmil,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want to move music from your iPod nano to your new computer, and you’re using the Transfer Purchases command in iTunes which isn’t copying music that wasn’t purchased from the iTunes Store. Take a look at the article linked below, it describes the supported ways to move your music to a new computer and provides more information about the Transfer Purchases feature.

  • New ipod classic, music sync error

On Sunday I got a new silver 160gb ipod classic. Today in unpackaged it followed the quick start instructions, so connected ipod to the computer to charge, registered it, and then chose to sync (autosync) my iTunes library, and everything was going fine about a quarter of the way through. I decided to leave the computer to let it finish and charge fully. However when I returned it said there had been an error syncing "JAMES'S iPOD". So I decided to sync again, and now when I try and sync it comes up with the message "Attempting to copy the disk ~ JAMES'S IPO ~ failed. An Unknown error occured (-81)", and then when I press ok on that the message "The iPod ~ JAMES'S IPOD ~ cannot be synced. An Unknown error has occured (-48)".
I'm a bit confused as to why this seems to happen with my brand new ipod, and want to get using it! Does anyone have any idea what may be the problem?
Thanks , let me know if you need any more info

I've got the same exact problem. mine says:
"The iPod "iPod" cannot be synced. An unknown error has occured (-48)."
I've had my iPod now for about 2 years and I usually don't have too many problems with it. I've tried everything that apple has suggested, except for the restore option. NO WAY AM I RESTORING MY iPOD!!! I've got like over 2000 songs on that thing and they aren't backed up! It's too much work to back up all those songs. I've reinstalled iTunes, I've restarted my computer and my iPod, but no matter what happens I can't put new music on it. I can listen to the music on and off my computer, but I can't make any changes. This is driving me crazy. I haven't been able to put new songs on my iPod in a while and have been listening to the same old things. Now that I've finally able to download new ones this thing just craps out on me. I just want to put new songs on my iPod, but can't. What's the point of having an iPod you can't change it? Also for some reason i've got duplicate songs that I now can't erase. Apple is just letting me down more and more lately.

  • Bought a new ipod, purchased music good for 1!!!

I just got a newer version of Ipod for christmas, With no intention to keep using my older one... Now Itunes tells me I cant Import the purchased music that on my older Ipod to my newer one... I have probably $200 plus itunes bought music in my library with $200 more in my credits.. Is there anyway around this.. This seems like a big rip off to me had I known this i would have NEVER bought music from it.

Yes the computer is authorized, I can play everything on my computer... But when I go to update my newest IPOD I get a warning that tells me that any purchased ITUNES song/album whatever is only allowed on ONE ipod.

  • Windows ME with a new Ipod 20gb (Photo)

hi, I've got a big problem and I really need help.I used Winamp to transfer my music on the Ipod (it used to work very well with my old ipod, but it was the first time with the new one) and now everytime I start my Ipod, I have a "folder logo" with an exclamation point and the adress www.apple.com/ipod/support,and it switchs out immediatly
The problem is that I can't reboot it:
    -it doesn't work with windows
-it doesn't work with "hold and menu+select" technic
and when I want to do it with my Ipod software (2.0.1) I have an error message saying "impossible to open the Ipod"
I'm desperate so thank you for your help...

You have to first restore your iPod on a Windows XP computer before you can use it on your Windows Me computer with Winamp. And your iPod software updater also won't work with it.
Check this: Guide to iPod and Windows 98/Me
Have you consider upgrading to Windows XP or a new computer running Windows XP (or perhaps a new Mac such as Mac mini)?

  • The New iPod 20gb

I have the old b&w ipod. will apple let me trade in that for the new colour one. this is really annoying. i've had this ipod for nearly a year and then they go and release it all in COLOUR!! really gets on my nerves!! or will i have to wait til it breaks?? lol
    thanks

Not really sure what you talking about. If this "manga" can output JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF and PNG files than you should surely be able to just view them on your Ipod. Interactivity with some sort of picture file I dont think so.

  • How do i get a game for my new ipod when all the games are only for iphone or ipad?

When i get in the itunes and go the the app store, it says iphone or ipad apps availble, but no ipod, I don't have a iphone or ipad, just the i pod. What do i do

Games that work in the iPhone will also work in the iPod Touch, unless they require capabilities that the iPod Touch doesn't have, such as GPS, Phone, etc.

  • Just bought new Ipod - and music won't sync.  what's wrong?

I just bought the ipod nano - nothing is synching at all.  Not sure what to do.

when i click it or try to move it to my ipod it says the file could not be located...would i like to locate it? so what's that all about?
Exactly what is says. Basically each song has an attribute/piece of metadata, that holds the track's location on your computer. If it can't find it there, it puts a small explanation point next to it in iTunes.
This script may be able to help. You are going to need to search for these tracks and either place them in the proper location already specified in iTunes or re-import them and delete the missing entry.

  • IPod stuck in Music Quiz mode

The strangest thing happened to me the other day. I was playing the music quiz game, quit, and tried to simply listen to some music. To my shock, however, my iPod continued to only play the 10-second clip from the quiz game for each song. The first song of any playlist I selected would start at the beginning and play for 10 seconds, and the rest would just pick up at some point in the middle. I managed to fix the situation by entering and exiting the quiz game again, but I remain completely baffled by this little experience. Has anything like this happened to anyone else out there? Does anyone know how it could have happened, or how to make it happen voluntarily?

this happened to me a couple of years ago with a 4g b/w. same solution too.

  • Songs in music library downloaded from a CD and synced to my old IPOD are not recognized by my new IPOD classic.  What is the fix?

Songs in music library downloaded from a CD and synced to my old IPOD are not recognized by my new IPOD classic.  What is the fix?

If you are using automatic syncing with your old iPod, select that iPod in iTunes and go to its Music tab (next to Summary).  Note how this Music tab is set up.  Maybe you can do a screen shot.
Now, select the new iPod in iTunes.  Go to its Music tab, like you did for the old iPod.  Set up the new iPod's Music tab exactly like the old iPod, and Apply the change.
The music on your new iPod should now match the old iPod.
