New Mega Pc User has questions!
Hey Guys, I'm new to this forum. I just bought a Mega PC, running a 2.6 celeron, 1 gig of samsung ram and an 80 gig maxtor HD. I've read through the many threads in this forum but couldn't find what i'm looking for
1) has anyone been able to mod the mega pc so that the LCD can be functional in PC mode? its such a nice display! such a waste to just show the time in pc mode
2) i've read through the forums here and some people say that they can use the remote in PC mode specifically when using windows media player to play music. Did you have to update anything to allow this?
I'm new to this board so any info regarding moding the mega pc in terms of LCD and remote functionality would be great!

yes if you download the latest version of msi radio from the support page, you will be able to use the remote when the computer is on for media player. For example. if the computer is on, and you press "hi fi" on your remote, media player will automcatically open and the lcd lights up and says "cd", has the play arrow and the circle rotates. i wish the equalizer came on! :P

Actually if you run live update 3 (the website based version) it tells you the version you have, and the version on the web. I think its up to you to compare each version and download if necessary.
If you didn't get the cD don't worry you are not missing anyhting i think. IT just had agp, video, network, modem, and audio drivers, all of which are on the website with latest versions. Some utilities are on the cd as well, but all and MORE are found on the website.
AND YES IF ANYONE HAS THE "GREETING" PROGRAM PLEASE POST!!

Can anybody out there tell me how to inport pictures from Aperture to PSE 10?
Most often, you would want to set PSE as your external editor and send the photos from Aperture to PSE, edit them there and save over the existing file without making any changes in the name or file format in order for aperture to make a version for you. (You may need to make a change in Editor>preferences>saving files>on first save for PSE to do this). If you want to change the name or format, you would need to save to the desktop and import the edited file back to aperture as a new image.

New Blackberry Z10 User (Multiple Questions)
1. I used to be able to input all my email accounts online. For example sprint.blackberry.com. I tried att.blackberry.com; however, it indicates my operating system is no longer supported with my new device. Does anyone know when this capability will be available for the BB Z10?
2. Since I no longer have access to number 1, does anyone know if I can automatically have messages I send from my phone to be forwarded or blind copied back to me? I need to keep a record of all emails sent. I found the email signature option - just not the blind bcc option. This was previously avaialble with the online functionality.
3. When using the new Blackberry Link software... does anyone know if I can view all the changes that will be applied to my device? For example, I used to be able to select get details for confirm calendar edits prior to accepting the synchronization. This is extremely helpful for me since I bill based on what is in the calendar. Having the system just place information on my calendar will not allow me to easily find what needs has been added, deleted or changed for billing, etc. I REALLY NEED THIS FEATURE! Is there any other way to obtain it? I tried view the information in the log files; however, it doesn't present the changes in an easy to read format as it used to.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

What you are referring to is a function of BIS, which was required for legacy devices. BIS is not used on BB10 devices...hence, nothing associated with BIS applies to BB10 devices. To specifically answer your question...I believe the answer is never.

Again, that auto-BCC function was provided by BIS, which is not used in BB10. Hence, you must find another method. Typically, the solution is provided by your email server...you would have to talk to that admin to find out if such is available to you.

The LINK software is very different from the legacy BB Desktop Software. What you see is what is available.

New ipod touch user. Question!!
Ok, so i'm about to buy an ipod touch soon, and i have some free apps on my itunes already down. (i also have movies and music too). What i'm wondering, is when i sync my ipod touch to my itunes library, will the apps copy over? and if they do, next time i sync my ipod, will itunes reset all my apps to default?? (high scores, saved stuff, passwords, pictures etc) and if i buy apps from my touch, will they be erased ifi sync my ipod to the computer?? thank you to whoever answers this question! i'm excited to get my ipod! thx.
- If the iPod is signed into the same itunes account that purchased the apps and other stuff they can be synced to the new iPod.
- App data such as save games and status is included in the backup of what ever device the apps were installed, They are not included with the apps i our iTunes library. What you have to do is to backup the device that has the app data you want and then restore the new iPod using the backup of that device. You did not state what device has the apps now and thus the app data but most devices can be restored from the backup of other devices.
- If you purchase apps on the new iPod they will be/can be transfered to your computer if the computer is authorized for the account used to purchase the apps. -
New Macbook Pro User with questions

Since 2003 i have been posting questions pertaining to my beloved G5. the motherboard went on me so I go a macbook pro. So far its very nice and I will prolly be posting questions for years to come. Thankfully I backed up everything on Time Machine two days before the computer bit it. There are certain things I want on this computer and certain things I don't. Can I pick and choose which things I want? Also, how do I get my Safari bookmarks and my iChat settings (the names I have given all my buddies) on my new laptop? Thanks for your help!I assume your backup is on an external drive that you can connect to your MBP. I would then use Migration Assistant as one option. It will allow you to restore from a TM backup on another computer or connected backup drive.
Be sure you are careful about what you move as your old computer was a PPC computer and not everything on it is compatible with Intel Macs. I would only transfer your personal files as well as your mail, address book, etc. You will also need the preference files for Mail, AB, iCal, etc. and they are located in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. AB, iCal, and iChat also have folders in /Home/Library/Applications Support/ that will need to be transferred. Avoid transferring any system files or applications that are PPC only. PPC-only apps should be reinstalled or upgraded to universal binaries. -
Potential Forms user has questions
I've tried to find basic information about Forms on Oracles's website but have so far failed.
I need technology to build websites quickly.
We already use Oracle here and I wondered about Oracle Forms. I'm not sure if we have it here.
Right now I need to be able to build forms to input data on the web, store that data in a database and be able to retrieve it on the web and make updates. I need to be able to use digital signatures so the forms can be 'signed' by different people.
I'd like the forms data to be available in XML format and the database where it is stored to be accessible by custom-written programs.
The processing needs to be able to email Microsoft Outlook when certain form processing takes place (e.g. signatures).
Its essential that no client software be needed by users accessing the forms - only by the developers that create the forms.
Does Oracle Forms support all/any of this?I thinks Oracle forms support this.

Former PageMaker user has questions
Am switching to a Mac from PC. Have used PM for years on both platforms. Currently using PM 7.0 for windows.
I have a lot of files that i would like to be to access without using Boot Camp or going that route.
Can I import my PM docs into Pages or am i better off buying Indesign?
thanxFar as I know, the only program that can import PageMaker files is InDesign - which did a good job of importing all the import PM templates I'd been using. Whether you can use Pages to replace PM depends on what you were doing with PageMaker.
Lots of things, like brochures and newsletters, I created in PM and ID because it made the task simpler than trying to do it with AppleWorks or Word. I'm now using Pages for quite a few of those tasks (because even with 2GB having ID and Photoshop open (along with the other tools of my daily trade) is a bit too much. But for more demanding tasks I use ID.

hey ya'll, i just picked up a dual 1.25, airport, bluetooth, superdrive, 17inch studio display, and pair of 120 gig harddrives MDD g4, for a ridiculously low price.
how loud are these fans supposed to be? i'm hearing sort of a clunking sound, havn't got a chance to clean it out yet. any ideas? i'm not too worried, gonna use this thing till it breaks. can you buy replacement fans that will fit from third parties? if it works all week i plan on upgrading to 2 gigs of ram and installing leopard.No.. it doesn't. At least in my eyes, my computer screams, but then again mine is expanded to the full 2GB memory. I would not advise to replace the power supply fans unless you have good soldering skills - Uncle steve made it so difficult for us to change the fans in the power supply - plus, you might wind up electricuting yourself at the same time!
Better to change the Pabst fan or case fan as its called with a better fan such as the Silent-x fan. I don't think the quieter powersupply and fan kit are available from Apple anymore, but you can try.
I have some noise, but not much and its not really that bad.
Dust? Where did you find all that dust at? Let me know, so that I can see if I have any "dust" build-up. When I got this MDD 3 months ago, the owner took care of it in a dust-free enviornment, but looking in my machine from top to bottom, I don't see any dust! I also rubbed my fingers against the small fans in the power supply and NO DUST at all. -

New to Netweaver : User has no permission to access SLD.

I installed J2EE engine with SAP netweaver Developer Studio. I am facing problem with following Prerequisites:
"The SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD) and the SLD bridge are configured and running."
I checked http://sparrow:50000/sld but it gives.....error...
403 Forbidden

So, anybody can tell me how to give permission to username?
where to give permission and how to open it? Please let me know in detail. (Directory structure/Path)

In order to access SLD, you should have SLD roles like SAP_SLD_GUEST etc.

I am a new iPhone 5s user. I like many of the features it offers. I don't like that I cannot talk and use the internet (if I am away from WI-FI) and this phone is too small. I am actually thinking of returning it and going back to an Android. After all the hassle it took to get all my stuff working on this phone , it may be worth the switch. This phone needs to be able to multitask freely in this day and age. Also Safari is not the best search engine but I could work with it if I could talk and use it at the same time. I use my phone for business and this is a feature that is needed in my line of work.

I understand that the OP failed to do research. But then, I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to Chris. I have Verizon. I can talk and use data at the same time with my Droid Maxx. Therefore, the problem is not just with the network. It would be technically possible for an iPhone to do that on Verizon/Sprint if Apple had chosen to use a different chip, such as the kind other phone manufacturers have elected to use.
Of course, this is probably all irrelevant to the OP's issue. It was merely a point of clarification, especially for those people who are used to being able to use both voice and data at the same time on Verizon. When they switch to an iPhone, they are often surprized at the limitation.

Background:
I have created a quiz in which the user must answer each question correctly before proceeding to the next slide. This is what I did:
Set preferences to Settings > Required > Answer All - The user must answer every question to continue
Set the number of attempts on the question level to Infinite
Made the Next button invisible and disabled the playbar
This way, the user can only proceed to the next question slide with the Submit process – and, since attempts are infinite, that means only after successfully answering the question.
Current goal:
I want the user to be able to click on a prompt for a hint. To set this up, I did the following:
Created a smartshape labeled “click_for_hint” displaying text that says, “Click here for a hint”
Created a smartshape labeled “hint” displaying text hint
Set “click_for_hint” to show “hint” on success
Now, when the user clicks on the text that says, “Click here for a hint,” the hint pops up. So, that works – awesome! However, once the hint is activated, I would like for the user to be able to continue infinite attempts until successfully answering the question… and only then, after answering correctly, proceed to the next slide.
The problem:
If the user has submitted one or more incorrect answers and then activates the hint, the slide no longer waits until the user has answered the question correctly. Instead, it automatically resumes playing, proceeding to the next slide. I tried setting the smartshape “hint” to pause on success, but that did not work.
Is there a way to make the slide wait until the question is answered correctly before proceeding to the next slide, even after the hint has been activated?Are you aware of the fact that your Required setting can cause problems, blocking the user? It is also totally unnecessary, because you have infinite attempts on question level, and did hide the Next button (hope you don't need Review, otherwise I would recommend not to hide that button but to drag it under the Clear button: Question Question Slides in Captivate - Captivate blog)
The hint problem is linked with the fact that a simple action will release the playhead. I would like to see the timeline of the slide, to compare the pausing points of the shape button and the question slide. Can i see what questions a user has answered incorrectly??

We have various Captivate training modules that are placed on a GeoLearning LMS.
All the modules have 5 Questions at the end. The quiz preferances are set up in such away that the user is required to get 100% to pass and is allowed to retake the quiz one more time if they fail first time round.
My issue is that some of our users in Malaysia are failing the course even after the second attempt.... yes its fine and simpl enough to re-asign them the course but ideally i would like to see what question they are failing on.... if there is a trend then maybe there is a gap in the actual training material.
Is it possible for me to review the quid the user has taken and understand where thay are answering incorrectly?

i have been using this Wodget now and the data is appearing on the adobe dashboard .. Brilliant
1 question... if i have a course set so the user can retake the quiz another time if they get it wrong will there quiz results be sent to the dashboard twice, or will only the second attempt be logged?
For example i have a module with 5 questions and a pass rate of 100%
If the user gets 2 questions wrong they then have the option to retake... hopefully then getting them all correct... if not they then Fail the course and need to be re assigned it.
If they pass on the second attempt will the dashboard show that the 5 questions have been taken twice and 2 were answered incorrectly the forst time... or will just the second attempt here they got them all correct be logged?

Identify when a user has change value in USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP before saving
I originally posted and closed this question, but I am still struggling with the code.
The req is now to also update the value of VBAP-LPRIO, so I now have to use the Exit : USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP.
The issue is that my solution must take into account when a user manually overwrites a value and not replace it with a value determined in the user exit.
My problem is that the user might do the following
1 - Create a sales order and enter a new item line, press enter
2 - The user exit is triggered, and I check that XVBAP-UPDKZ = I (user add a new line)
3 - The user-exit determines the new value and populates the field
4- the user then click on the item line, and then manually changes the value of VBAP-LPRIO
5- The user-exit is triggered again, and because XVBAP-UPDKZ = I , my code is triggered and updates the field.
What I want is to identify that a user has manually changed the value and not overwritte the value.
1 - I have check YVBAP and it is blank, as the user has not saved the sales order.
2- The values of VBAP and XVBAP are the same..
3 - I cannot re-read the database (KNVV) table as the user could have populate the value with the same value.
What I need is how to identify when a user has made a change to a field before they save the sales item, as YVBAP is never filled.

I am writing a bit of code that will overwrite the payment terms in a sales order item based on a number of factors. (ship-to, incoterms, document type, etc)
I am using the following program MV45AFZB at Exit : USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP. I am using this exit as the users need to see the payment terms after an item has been entered into the sales order and not have the value determined at sales order save.
I am not using USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP as it is only triggered once at the time of creation and not when I change the document. I need it in USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP as users could change the incoterms in VA02, so the code must be redetermined.
My code is working as expected, however, I have a problem when a user enters a sales order item line and then manually changes the payment terms, as my code then is over writes the users values.
The flow is as follows
As user creates a sales order
They populate the sales order header
They populate material number and qty
User exit USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP is triggered and correctly determines the payment terms
The user then double clicks on the sales order item and decides to overwrite the payment terms.
My user-exit is retriggered and check to see if XVBAP-UPDKZ = I (insert)
As it is still an insert, my code triggers.
I have tried to check YVBAP, but no entry exist as it stills is seen as in insert? What I really need to know that while it is still an insert, the user has change the field value and my code should not over write the users value.When do you need to update LPRIO ? When user makes the change at the Payment terms on line item?

2. Execute ad hoc queries(eg. read/write excel sheet,csv,txt files etc.)
3. can't access other database.
