New tables in 12.1.3 not in 12.1.1 of Oracle Inventory module

Hi All,
I was analyzing 12.1.3. and found following as new tables in 12.1.3 compared to 12.1.1
MTL_CLIENT_PARAMETERS
MTL_BILLING_RULE_HEADERS_B
MTL_BILLING_RULE_HEADERS_TL
MTL_BILLING_RULE_LINES
MTL_TXNS_HISTORY
Can any one tell whether these tables contribute new functionality in oracle Inventory. If NOT then what is the purpose of these table in 12.1.3?

Oracle introduced a new functionality called Billing Rules in 12.1.3.
See Oracle Warehouse Management Release Notes, Release 12.1.3 [ID 1101620.1] for details of this new functionality.

New table / field in SAP MDM not being reflected in SAP EP

Hi,
I have added a lookup- flat table in MDM and added a field corresponding to this table in my main Products table.
I have maintained data in both the main table and the look up table thru Data manager
Problem:
I want to populate this field through the SAP EP. I am using std MDM iView Details template. When I check the drop down to select the table, I see only the ones which had come with the MDM std business content. The added tables/ fields are not visible on the portal to select :(.
Can you help me out Please? Are there some settings that need to be done?

As a mandatory requirement after completing the deployment process, the Web Application Server should be restarted for the changes made by the deployment to take effect and appear in the Portal.
Have you restarted Web Application Server after deployment?
Also check, User Mapping for the Connected MDM System
Search for the User (Portal User) which needs to be mapped to the appropriate MDM User.
It is quite interesting that you are getting all other tables in std i-view template except newly added.
It could be also because you have already there connection of EP with MDM before that table and new field exists in MDM.
And it is showing same existing table and fields, I mean not reflected now newly added table and field. I would suggest you to create the MDM connection with EP from scratch. Just give MDM System Name and ID, MDM Server, Repository, Language, Creating an Alias for the connected MDM System, User Mapping and connection Test for the Connected MDM System.
May be it result in reflecting newly added Table and field which is not visible in EP as of now. Just give it a try.

DataSource for FAGLFLEXT and BSEG, or New Table in ECC6?

need to create an extractor to have all the information of FAGLFLEXT, because we need to keep the ledger information and the split of the information. However, we need to add 13 fields contained in BSEG.
Therefore we thought to reads the line items table FAGLFLEXA, and then enhace it throught BSEG table.
However, since we are using ECC6 and BI7. It is not support the creation of DataSources for FAGLFLEXA throught FAGLBW03.
Is it an option to incorporate all fields into FAGLFLEXT.
Can we creat a new table group based on FAGLFLEXT, and then adding the coding block extensions to that table -
how does new g/l and the new table group work in parallel? Which is the procedure to do it?
Documentation says we can create a new table group based on FAGLFLEXT --- its the how does it work in conjuction part...for example...the new g/l handles document splitting and one other thing georg referenced last night...will the split documents go into our new table group?
BSEG does not have the document splitter information that we need (it's incomplete data). It's missing profit centers on many items, it's missing the proper split of transactions.

Client situation: Our client is implementing ECC 6 and is using the "New-GL" features. Because of business requirements, the coding block has been extended (not insignificantly - 18 extra fields at the moment) to accommodate legal, regulatory and management reporting. The reporting solution includes standard ECC reporting (e.g. report writer, report painter reports) as well as feeds to BW (BI 7).
The Challenge: Our understanding is that adding all of the coding block extensions to the New-GL tables (ie. FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT) may lead to performance degradation in the ECC system. However, we still need to accommodate the requirement to report by the additional dimensions that are not currently included in the New-GL, so our challenge has been to find a solution that minimizes performance issues, while still allowing us to have all the necessary dimensions with which to do the required reporting.
What we would like to know: How have you handled this in similar situations?
Have you added to the New-GL tables? How many fields? Performance issues encountered?
Have you created additional table group(s) based on the New-GL and then modified that structure to have the new fields? How does the additional table group work co-incident with New-GL (e.g. does the additional table group receive document splitting information?)?
Have you created custom extractors for BW? On what basis (we understand that FAGFLEXA cannot be created as a datasource to feed BW)?

Probelm Addind new Table in Physical Layer, Create Dim in Business Model ..

I have completed a task for a dash board, that is running sucessfully.
Now I added a new table in "physical layer", (file->import->from database), table added successfully
Now, I droped this table in "business model", but when I want to create its dimension, there is no any option (when I right click on this table)
there are two cases
case 1:
I did not added modified fact table (with foreign key of new table) in "physical layer" and not in "business model and mapping"
case 2:
I added new table and modified "fact table (with foreign key of new table)" in "physical layer" and "business model and mapping"
but in both cases there is no "create dimension" button to create dimension
Please let me know the how to solve this problem, kindly define it in steps

Create Dimensions is only available if the selected logical table is a dimension table (defined by 1:N logical joins) and no dimension has been associated with this table.
In you case, once you have imported the table successfully in physical layer, then join your table to fact table. Drag n drop in BMM under a new logical table and then join it to BMM Logical fact using complex join. Now, if you right click, you see the last option as 'Create Dimension'

Can I create a new table using strcuture of another existing table ????

If I need to create table as the duplicate table for another table. I donot need data from that table, as I am going to populate date later on.
So all need is the structure, constraints of the table to create a new table.
create table new_temp as
select * from old_temp;
above command creates a table with the data, what if I donot want the data, only the defination.
Any help woud really appreciated.

LOAD CSV DATA TO NEW TABLE

I've got a basic csv file- 12 columns, 247 rows that I've been trying to import or paste into a new table and with each try, not all records get uploaded into the new table. Using the "Load Data" tool, I've tried Load Text Data, Load Spreadsheet Data, both by importing .csv file and copying/pasting. I've put the records in order of the table's PK ID, I've added dummy entries to any fields that are null (i.e. I added the word 'None' to fields that were empty). But nothing is working. I get about half of the existing records.

You're probably right on with that one. I've got a 'Comment' field (VARCHAR(4000)) and a 'link' field that holds the link to doc files that I use in an interactive report VARCHAR(255). If this is my problem, how do I incorporate this data? My user needs to enter comments (indeed maybe not 4000 char - but I need to keep that as large as possible) and the link to the file itself is essential. Basically it's a simple interactive report where all of our active documents are listed and the user needs to find, then open the document on our server.

Can we create a new column in report which is not in table.
I have two columns in my table completion_date, manufacture_date. If the difference between the completion_date and manufacture_date is 0, -1, 1 then the new column of the report will say on time against each record or else will display late. Any suggestion how to proceed on this

Standard report then, NOT an interactive report (which if you were using, you could build a computation and report on that)..
Then the adding a column in the query would be your best best...

New field catalog VOLEH does not display while creating a new table

Dear Gurus,
I added new field as VOLEH in field catalog. However while I am creating a new table, new field (VOLEH) does not showed in field catalog...
How can I fix this error?

Check once again in IMG>SD>Basic func>Pricing >Pricing control>define condition table>conditions : allowed fields> go to new entries then press F4
check here newly created field is there or not
(or) when creation of condition table check properly next page button in menu bar
still if its not found

Date format accepted in new table but not in active table for DSO, BI 7.0

Hi All,
Need help from the experts, i was trying to load Flate file data in CSV(Coma separated) and cell type general for dates(yyyymmdd). everything was fine i have a routine for new fields in DSO for Fiscal week and Fiscal Quater which is calculating based on my Flate file date i.e delivery date(yyyymmdd).
The New table of DSO means before activation everything was fine and all the logics and mappings working for the Fiscal week and Fiscal Quater and that can be visible, But after activation the same only the Fiscal week and Fiscal Quater is not showing data, its comming as blank and '000000' for all records.
As the Fiscal week and Fiscal Quater is maintained as custmised InfoObject with data type NUM.
Can you tell what i am missing, because i tried with different cell type also in CSV File.

SQL Developer import from Excel or CSV not creating new table

I am sure I have done this with previous version of SQL Developer. I am now running 1.5.4 with patches update from 5/27/2009. I am running on Windows XP. When I start the import wizard I get to the point were the varify button appears. I click Verify. Everything is successful. The next button is grayed out. The send to worksheet is not checked. I press the finish button and the new table is not created.
I don't get any error message. I refresh my table list and the new table is not created. I can create new tables using SQL Developer so I don't think it can be a privelege problem. I know I did this a few weeks ago. I am not sure what version of SQL Developer I was running. But I have updated to the latest and greatest since then.

I wanted to import and use my table data from MS Excel 2010 in SQL developer Version 3.1.05.
I was told that SQL does not import .xls data. For that reason, I was searching for a script which Import data from excel to SQL developer. I tried many different forums DBS blogs. Then eventually I found the solution inside the SQL developer itself.
In your Editor window, There would be options like,
1. Columns | Data | Constraints |Grants | Sta...... "so on"
2. In second row, you can find a drop box with certain table options. Select the last option "Import Data"
THERE YOU GO.
do accordingly to your need and you will get the data as well its scripts.

Create or not a new table just for one report

hi guys,
I'm working on a java client server application with an oracle db.
I need to create a new report in my application with requires lots of
calculation out of a table. I mean I cannot obtain the report just using
sql query.
My solution is:
use an oracle procedure, create a new table, fill it and then use sql to
get the report data. (that is fastest solution in my opinion)
My question is:
is a good choice to create a new table that will be exploit just to create
a report in the application?Or it's not worth and I should process the data with java without creating a new table?

No problem, but in your case create a global temporary table is more appropriate, because many users can generate a report on the same time and you don't need worry about what table data is for what user, or to do something like create some tables with randomizes names like TEMP010304 or TEMP386679 and drop them when the user finish to view the report ...

Can not see new table to reverse

I have a new table that has been added to an oracle database but when I go to add it to my model it is not available in the list of objects to reverse when I am on the selective reverse tab. I do have the New Datastores checkbox checked. any ideas?

I figured it out. The physical schema and work schema was defined with the schema name in lower case but should have been in uppercase.

I am designing a report based on a sql stored procedure with 3 parameters required. I have a parameter that I would like to make dynamic based on an "Item" table for multiple selections.
I keep getting this error when I run the report
Prompting failed with the following error message: 'List of VAlues failure: fail to get values. (Cause of error: the new table link contains TargetFieldNames that are not valid. Error source: prompt.dll
Error code: 0x8004380d
Can someone point me to an example or tell me if this even possible to do?

Added Articles and ran snapshot, but the new tables not showing up

I have a publication that is running on 2012 SQL server. I added several tables, some stored procedure and some views. Then I selected 'view snapshot agent service' and selected start. It says running, and then says '9 articles published'
(or something like that) but the number is incorrect. It should be a LOT more than that. Then when I look at the subscriber, it doesn't have the new tables. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi,
VKOA is meant for assigning G/L accounts to combination of customer/material group and keys.
You need to check in SPRO-> Sales and distribtuion->basic functions ->Account assignment/costing->Revenue accoutn determination ->Define access sequence and account determination types for assigning tables in the sequence.
