New to sun/unix need some help getting my solaris express developers workin
well it installed, detected my dvd but during the install process I was not asked any networking questions. I figured perhaps it meant I had to configure that after the fact but alas it says the network admin can't configure the network because the network auto-magic is configured. whatever that means...well I guess it means my ethernet was not found? also a right click screen resolution only gives my 50hz refresh rate and 640x480 so I am guessing that means my video card is not detected either? I have an asus 800se motherboard with built in graphics and ethernet so I guess I will need to get 2 pci cards?
well if so I started to look at the very large hardware list and my head started spinning. so my question is...can anyone here suggest both an older video and ethernet card that I might say be able to find on ebay? because I really don't need anything fancy I am must out to learn sun...old but good and reliable???

1) Navigate to Admin > Layout > Static pages
2) Add a new static page here and enter your content
3) Once it is saved, you should see an eyeglasses icon next to the page and you can copy that url and use it in a link.

As far as the white stripes, I think you mean centering a page?
1) Edit the main master page under your theme

Need some help getting my logic express 7 to work!
alright so....i bought logic express 7 about 3 years ago and i HAVE NEVER USED IT! the reason being is because i could never get it to work and gave up 3 yrs ago. i just recently came across again while cleaning out my closet...i tried again but it still wont work...i think it says i need logic express 6 in order to get it work. is this true???? if so, where can i get logic express 6? i've searched everywhere and i can't seem to find it!

Need some help getting my G5 "SCSI" compatible

I need some help getting my G5 to work with my SCSI scanner.
It has been suggested that I use an Adaptec PowerDomain 29160N to connect my Lacie SilverScanner III scanner, which is SCSI.

I've not used this card, but a quick scan of the web page says that it is compatible with Mac OSX 10.3.X. You may want to contact them to verify that it will work with your system.

Need some help getting my iTunes over to my new Mabook pro
Hi:
I am trying to populate the iTunes application on my new laptop with my song from my G5 desk top. I failed trying to burn the songs to a DVD. I needed three dvd's to hold all my songs. The process failed on disk one. But it did totally fill the disk with something as the is now worthless. it is not recognized by iDVD.
Help need some ideas.

Did you burn as a data disc? Yes, I used iTunes "file/back up to disc".
Why are you using iDVD to import you music?
I had to use a DVD because I have many songs.
The only error I got was that the first of three DVD's was not usable. I did not burn the next two.

In table t77s0, you can set indicators for HR replication according to note 550055.
After this, for users which were replicated from HR system, you should not modify it in SRM system, but only HR side and synchronize the changes.

Actually I'm 19. I just found it out in the garage one day while I was collecting parts for my system build.
EDIT: OK yeah, now I'm sure it's my keyboard that's the problem. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and the combinations worked for 3-4 minutes then stopped again.
EDIT 2: I just did some more experimentation and it turns out my alt keys don't work at all. Why it's only my alt keys and why it's both of them, I have no idea.

Need some help getting add/remove field buttons working
Someone here on the forums had previously assisted me with getting a button set up on a form that would add an additional text field to a form. I now need a separate button created that will delete a text field in case too many were added. I am hoping that someone can assist me with this since my XML knowledge is pretty much nil. It doesn't look like I can upload files to the forum here, so I am going to attempt to paste my code. I just need to get the "-" button to subtract a row. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

The (1) is incorrect for the removeInstance.
In the addInstance script the (1) is for "true" - merge the new instance with the data model.
In the removeInstance you need to specify which instance you want to remove.
So in your button the script would look think this:
var vCount = _Objective.count - 1;
_Objective.removeInstance(vCount);
This counts the number of instances and then subtracts 1, because the instances are zero based.
I have also added a button within the repeating instance, which allows the user to select the instance they want to remove.
_Objective.removeInstance(this.parent.index);
The this.parent.index is telling Acrobat that the instance to delete is the one that the button is in.

was asked to develop a user friendly application to be used by

I’ve downloaded the trial version of flex and I think
it’s amazing. I want to suggest to the University to use flex
2.0 to develop this application. I already know how to get data
from the database using ASP/ XML. But I still have some doubts in
my mind that maybe you guys can clarify.
Can I send files with a flex application and store them in a
specific directory in the server?
Can I create a new directory in the same server?
Can I add items to a database?

I'm a very new user and I need some help!
I have recently started a new job and our website is managed through Dreamweaver, which I know nothing about. I was getting along until I was given a new computer. We installed a new version of Dreamweaver and when I launched it for the first time I was expecting to be able to see the local and remote sites, the way I could on the old computer. However, the remote site was not available. Please forgive my ignorance, and I did hunt for this info in the tutorials etc, but if I am communicating with the remote site, shouldn't all those files be listed without me having to put them there?
I did try. Alot of what I found dealt with creating pages and templates, which I will need soon, but not yet. I found the link below. It looked promising, but didn't end up relating to any option I could see for myself to try. I have tested my connection already so I believe I entered all the ftp information correctly.

[SOLVED] Need some help getting the sound to work again
Recently I changed the motherboard and CPU to an AM3 platform, everything works with my previous setup except sound.
Reinstalling alsa-utils and rebooting had absolutely no effect. Google didn't help either.

Great. It took the bulk of my day trying to figure out how to get this thing to work.
VolWheel is now set to adjust "Master Front" (it was previously set to "Master" with the old motherboard) and the Sonata volume bar apparently works too, just like I wanted (adjusting the PCM volume by default). Good. Great ! Now I just need to set the "snd-hda-intel" module to load at boot so I don't have to type "sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel" all the time and this thread can be considered SOLVED.
sudo nano /etc/rc.conf
...and add the following:
MODULES="... snd-hda-intel ..."
(also removed snd-ac97-codec from the list because that's what the old mobo used)

New to subwoofers? Need some help!
So I have two Pyle PL1290BL 12-Inch 1200 Watt subwoofers, And I'm absolutely clueless with audio so if someone can help point me in the right direction. I'm trying to find out what watt amp should I be looking for? Peak power handling of 1,200 watts.
How many channels do I need on the amp?
What enclosure would you recommend?
What kind of wiring kit?
Any recommendations for the kind of amplifer?
I know I have a lot of questions but I'm just trying to get a couple out of the way before I go about getting installation.You can look into a mono or a 2 channel amp, either will work with those subwoofers. As far as power goes, you basically want to match the RMS on the subwoofers to the RMS on the amp (this is continuous power). Box wise, it all depends on the type of music you listen to and how u like your bass. A sealed box will give you a better mid range bass and can recover faster with quick bass hits. A ported/vented box will give you that low range bass but will not recover as quickly with those fast hits. Wiring kit all depends on the size of the amplifier you get and what connections it will have (8 gauge/4 gauge) and what type of vehicle and what stereo is in there now. Go to your local store for pricing on parts and labor needed for the installation. Hope this pushes you in the right direction.

New to V20z. Need some help....
I received over 60 V20z in and need to test each one. As is they are racked and connected to a Raritan User Station and Fujitsu rackmount monitor / keyboard / mouse. I have Solaris 10 x86 cd and would like to install. Can someone walk me through or point me toward some documentation for this??

-ddeblanceThe V20z server comes from the factory with Solaris pre-loaded. So it will run Solaris 10, at a minimum. I haven't tried 9 on them, but don't see why they wouldn't work.
What OS is on their system disk right now?
For 60 systems, you probably will not want to load Solaris CDs onto each and every one of them. That would take months.
My suggestion would be to setup a Solaris image server from which the systems can download a boot loader then download the Solaris distribution. You can find docs on how to do this at docs.sun.com.
Also, what type of 'testing' do you need to do? If it is hardware testing, you can boot the "Bootable Diagnostics CD" on each system and run a complete hardware check. You can download this CD from the V20z website http://www.sun.com/servers/entry/v20z/downloads.jsp -
Need some helping getting safari up
OK a friend just got her Mac, the cable internet guy just spent 4 hours at her house trying to get her online. The moden is getting a signal, he doesn't knwo how to get the mac to acquire. I didn't have this issue when setting up mine, and I am not in front of my machine to walk her through it. Will she need to set up an account first, shouldn't she be able to see the cable network? On my machine I just plugged in the line and I was on the net in 3 seconds..????

Go to the Network panel in System Preferences
Click on the drop down menu next to Show> Select "network port configuration". Make sure her cable type (Ethernet or Airport) is selected. If it was unchecked, she found her problem. If checked:
Have her open Safari. The page will say "cannot connect etc." with a box below for Network Configuration. Select it and see if the internal help function can make the connection work.

Expand "all day" pane size in week view
In Mountian Lion's Calendar, the week view shows the all day events in a narrow pane aong the top of the calendar window. However this pane is fixed and can't be resized to show more than 3 all day events. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on

Export from FCP directly into DVD studio pro?
Is it possible to export from FCP directly into DVD studio pro? If not, what is the preferred file format because my exported quicktime files come up as "incompatible format" when I try to add them into my DVD project. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, I have installed the new SAP Gui 7.20 patch 1 on 2 machines at my company. On one machine we can easily change the color settings for each theme. On the other PC, we can not go into "Configure Color Settings" to change the colors for any theme.
