Newbie with an Urgent problem- BlueJ and Compiler related

Hi, ok so I've downloaded the latest version of BlueJ
(2.1.2) and have all of the Java components (i.e.
BlueJ actually starts). However when I try to compile
a program all it says is "Compiling..." in the
corner. Nothing happens and when I click inside the
window the message disappears with nothing being
changed. Am I missing something glaringly obvious?
This is my first encounter with BlueJ and the whole
Java-thing. Also, time is a factor so a quick
response would be INCREDIBLY appreciated. Thanks in

Well I dont Know much about the BlueJ IDE but I definately advise you to use the JCreator IDE that is perfect for a beginner and has easy to use interface. You can download the Lite Version (which is absolutely free) from:

Built app with Flash Builder 4.6 and compiled for iOS, now error when loading to appstore

I built a fairly simple app using Flash Builder 4.6 and have successfully deployed it to the Android Market (after testing on my own Android device). I have also taken that same app and compiled it for iOS and tested it on my own iPad.
I have then done the release build with the "Final Release for App Store Distribution" option in the release build wizard. I have all the correct provisioning certificates in place and compiled the application to a .ipa file.
At this point, using a MAC, I have run the Application Loader utility to upload my application to the itunesConnect portal to get it in the appstore. I've already gone through the steps of entering the metadata, price scheme, and screenshots in the itunes connect portal, and just need to upload it for review.
When I upload the .ipa file into the application loader, it gives me the following error:
"iPhone/iPod Touch: application executable contains unsupported architecture(s): arm"
Anyone have any idea what this means and how I can fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Solved it. Just added the following in the <InfoAdditions> tag for iPhone in my app descriptor XML file:

Another person with yet another problem, JVC and iMovie '08

Ok, so I've downgraded my Quicktime to allow me to import my .MOD from my JVC Everio HD camera, and I can open them without a problem in Quicktime, but I cannot open them in iMovie '08. I just upgraded to a MBP with Leopard, and I can still use iMovie HD without a problem, but I cannot import any of the projects over or import any of the files into iMovie '08. Anyone know a solution to this? Or should I just write iMovie '08 off until I can manage to sell my expensive paper weight?

You probably have a Realtek/AC97 or other chipset, you could try the AC97 audio drivers at the following location: http://www.realtek.com/downloads/
If you don't have that audio device, supplying the dell model number or audio device name you see in device manager, would be helpful.

Problems debugging and compiling.

In the Netbeeans IDE (version 6.5.1), I clicked on a line number hoping to set a breakpoint, which seems to appear as a red line.
First, I can't get it to toggle off (disappear) no matter how many times I click the line number (i.e. the red dot overshadowing the line#). (Funny the other breakpoints toggle on and off just fine). I tried closing the project - didn't help. Next I closed the entire IDE. Didn't help. Can't get rid of that red line. Reboot?
Second, the code doesn't seem to break at any of my breakpoints even though they all have (breakpoint) "enabled" checkmarked.
Third, I can't seem to stop execution midway because the IDE blocks, preventing me from mouse-clicking anywhere. So how would I stop executoin if I accidentally coded an infinite loop?
Fourth, where is the resulting jar file? When I go to Run > Build Project a box tells me that there is no need to build due to automatic compiile-on-save. But I used Windows search to check my entire C-drive for the jar file and came up empty.
Fifth, once I find it, will it be executable? Is there any easy way to use the IDE to make it executable or do I have to use the command line? What I'm trying to do is create a java executable that I can launch from Visual Basic .Net. Let me be clear. I'm NOT trying to interact java with VB.Net in any sense of "interact". Within a Vb.Net app, I can invoke the command line, and therefore I will simply be launching the java executable by issuing a command to the command line, maybe someting like this (probably using a Shell call).

Help with WRT54G connection problems..and Vista

Hello, I'm very new so if some of my questions have been asked before I apologize. I have the WRT54G wireless router and have been having a difficult time getting a steady connection. The wired computer's connection is perfect, but the machine was recently switched from XP to Vista. Ever since the change, the internet (on the computers using wireless) fluctuates unceasingly. (For example, when my boyfriend tries to play his online games the ping shoots from 30 up to 1000, disconnects and then goes back down about once every 10 minutes.) Since it worked absolutely fine before the change, I figured I would try to update the firmware on the new machine, however I can't seem to get the download to work on Vista. Every time the file downloads it says that Vista is unable to open or proceed with the download.
I've tried other things, as far as changing the channel, enabling the SSID broadcast, and changing the physical location of the router. Is there something else that I may be missing other than updating the firmware? And how might I go about updating the firmware with Vista?

first off , i don't think there should be any issues updating the router's firmware on a vista machine....
the other things that you can try are :
changing the MTU size to 1365 ,
under the "advanced wireless settings" subtab, change the beacon interval - 50 , fragmentation and RTS threshold - 2304 ...

Newbie with Hand class problem !!

Hi all, I,m new to Java and programming in general. I need to create a Hand class from a Card class that I wrote. The Card class uses a toString to return the string representation of the card and suit. I need a default constructor which is empty so is no problem for me nor is it a big problem to create a constructor that creates an array of cards. My problem is creating a method to add a single card and subtract a single card. Also testing that no two cards are the same. I understand most of this stuff when I am in class but when I get home I don't seem to know how to proceed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Mac newbie with a "stacks" problem

Now, you're dealing with a former Windows person here making the transition...
In setting up my desktop, my stacks don't work. when I minimize applications windows, they just line up on that bar...had stacks initially but not now.
How do I get this cool function back?
I do Ind out what version of MAC OS I have?

Hello all... am attempting to launch a video clip
(.mov file..) in a new window by linking from an image. Click on
the image, it SHOULD open video clip in new window/page. It works
from the local site (on my pc) but not from remore server.... I'd

URGENT:Process Chains And events Related

Hi All,
I have created a new process chain which is a normal ODS Process Chain.For that I started with the start Process and then created event in sm62 to trigger the start of process chain.Similarly,I have at the end of the process chain ,I have added 2 ABAP Programs ,one to mark the successful completion of process chain and another to mark the Error or Unsuccessful completion.For these programs,I maintaines Processvariants and here, we have utility Programs.So used the relevant utility program and created a program variant and Events ,One for successful completion of process chain and another to mark the Error or Unsuccessful completion.
But ,Now ,I find that when I trigger the eventin sm64,I find that the process chain is not being run.Is that any problem with the events I created.This is the first i am involved with creation of events in SM62.Can anyone help me in this regard.
Can anyone,tell me thatdo we need to do anything else apart from Creating events .Imean like assigning jobs and then Programs in the Step of that Job.
Please Kindly help me in this regard.It is very very urgent for me.Thank you.Points will be assigned.

I have tried in the same way you have said .I have maintained as after event and activated and scheduled.after that i triggered the event insm64.But still,I am not able to see the Load in RSMO.
I have just checked out in sm37.And found that some jobs have failed.I think this might be the reason for the Process chain to not run.
I am just pasting the error msg and solution.

Video Problems: IRQ and Driver Related??

I recently purchased the ms-6590 kt400 Ultra Fisr (serial ata raid, giga lan , blah blah) and a new athlon 2600 fsb 333 my fsb 178 x 2 = ? Not here for math. I placed this in a already working system. No formatting hdd nothing just switched and fired it up.
Things seem to run fine but I noticed lower test results on 3dmark2001 getting a mere 9000 with my msi geforce 4200ti 4x agp.
Then recently in games I find to have low fps at times sort of on and off.
Hence I believed I have problem with the video card. Turns out my video card has a lot of problems. First off my video card is sharing an IRQ with my onboard sound I wish to change this but under windows xp I don't know how (its new to me) I need the onboard and the video so disabling is not a option unless the is nothing else I can do. It also shares memory and i/o I beleive with my pci bus and pci to pci bridge or something.
Again I apologize for details I can get back to you if needed.
2nd the card under benchmarking tools such as Sandra say the card is not fully agp compatible or not using the agp. Also stated is agp rate not optimal.
3rd I found that I can not use the msi tabs to select my agp rates or side banding addressing. I can not overclock my card as well using the auto adjust I get an direct draw error the sec I hit the button and it underclocks the card and stops.
my drivers are the msi drivers yet they were updated and now I got the option for 8x but of course my card is not 8x.
also directx is version 9.no clue and is not signed I beleive.
As you can see I got a truck load of video problemsother then that everything is running fine. If you have any suggestions, fixes, drivers, or need more info please respond. Again sorry for the fast report I am going to bed. Thanks. Wait gotta put a face in this will do ;(

The JBAT1 jumper.
Switch off, remove power lead from PSU, find JBAT1, move the jumper from pins 1 & 2 to 2 & 3, leave for 5 secs, then put jumper bac k on pins 1 & 2, plug in power lead and restart. The post screen will want to reset Bios, either F1, or Del, I think. Load 'bios setup defaults.' Reset boot sequence, floppy, CD, HDD, other devices enabled(for time being). Make sure floppy is set for seek.
Save and exit
Bios v1.3B2, is I see available on MSI japan site!!
The radeon drivers, are here http://www.omegacorner.com/ati_2kxp.htm , if they are available they will be there.
You did disable the 'boot sector virus protection' before flashing Bios.
If you still have a prob with the SATA, let me know and I will give you the setup for them.

Hi,
The ecxeption no 8 corresponds to the 8th exception that is listed in the exception tab of the FM when you open the FM in SE37.
Exceptions are raised inside the FM . The syntax is 'RAISE <EXCP> .' where <EXCP> is the name of exception.
For the enque FMs if you search for term 'raise' in the code you may not find the place where it is raised, as this FM calls some forms within it that are not part of the function groups so cannot be searched directly. You can debug it with breakpoint at statement 'RAISE' to locate it.

890FXA-GD65 with AMD Phenom II 1100T and Asus Radeon 6950 No Video Signal

I just did a new computer build with an MSI 890FXA-GD65 motherboard AMD Phenom II 1100T processor and Asus Radeon 6950 graphic card.
I have a SATA hard drive and optical drive. Memory is Corsair XMS3 4GB PC10666 DDR3 1333MHz 4096MB.
When I turn the system on I have no video signal so I can't see bios. I tried taking everything apart and rebuilding and still nothing.
The power is on to the motherboard and graphic card. The motherboard has 2 LED indicators on.
I am a newbie with the new computer build and need some help. I accidentally pressed the clear CMOS while the power was on. I have no idea if this is going to mess up the motherboard.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I could not locate this on this specific motherboard. The one issue is that there is a CLR CMOS button on the back and I pressed this when power was on .
I know there is another way to clear the cmos with the jumpers but I didnt do that .
Anyway motherboard still powers up. I took it to a tech to check it out. Don't know anything as of yet. Thanks.

URGENT:Problem in a mapping with 8 tables in JOIN and using the DEDUP op.

I have an urgent problem with a mapping: I must load data from 8 source tables (joined togheter) in a target table.
Some data from 1 of the 8 tables have to be deduplicated, so I created a sort of staging table where I inserted the "cleaned" data, I mean, the deduplicated ones.
I made it to make all the process faster.
Then, I joined the 8 tabled, writing the join conditions in the operator properties, and connected the outputs into the fields of the target table.
But..it does not work because this kind of mapping create a cartesian product.
Then, I tried again with another mapping builted up in this way: after the joiner operator, I used the Match-Merge Operator and I load all data into a staging table exactly alike the target one, except for the PK (because it is a sequence). Then, I load the data from this staging table into the target one, and, of course, I connect to the target table also the sequence (the primary key). The first loading works fine (and load all the data as I expected).
For the next loadings,I scheduled a pre-mapping process that truncate the staging table and re-load the new data.
But..it does not work. I mean, It doesn't update the data previously loaded (or inser the new ones), but only insert the data, not considering the PK.
So, my questions are as follow:
1) Why loading the data directly from the joiner operator into the fact table doesn't work? Why does it generate a cartesian product??
2) The "escamotage" to use the Match-Merge operator is correct? I have to admit that I didn't understand very well the behaviour of this operator...
3) And, most of all, HOW CAN I LOAD MY DATA? I cannot find a way out....

Yes, I inserted the proper join condition and in fact I saw that when WB generates the script it considers my join but, instead of using the fields in a single select statement, it builts up many sub-selects. Furthermore, it seems as it doesn't evaluate properly the fields coming from the source tables where I inserted the deduplicated data...I mean, the problems seems not to be the join condition, but the data not correctly deduplicated..
