Newly created folder not visible in directory tree (Outlook 2013)

We are using Exchange 2007 on-premise and Outlook 2013 on the client computer.
When creating a folder in a (very large) existing folder structure from within Outlook, it is not shown in the client. When logging in onto OWA it is visible.
If we delete the entire client profile and re-create it (causing Outlook to download the entire structure again), the folder is visible.
When creating a new folder after that, the same issue occurs again.

I am assuming you are running in cached mode and this is not a shared mailbox.  Have you tried forcing a full client synch?  This should force the online version of the folder structure to be recopied to the client. What is happening behind the
scenes is that the client is telling the server to add the folder, but the client's information from the server doesn't yet include the new folder - this is why you see the folder disappear.  Once you force the resync, the server will deliver the updated
folder listing (which I've noticed doesn't happen automatically, sometimes), and the client will then see the new folder (again).

    OK. Got it! Went to the original folder instead of the alias. Changed the admin privileges to "Read & Write" and, Whala! Now I don't have to enter my password every time I want to add, delete or replace a file in my Utilities folder.

  • Applescript to Move Folder to Newly Created Folder

    My applescript creates a new job folder and lets me specify the location.  I would like to display a dialog at the end that asks if the user would like to move a folder from another location to this newly created folder. If yes, then the user would be prompted to choose the folder, in either case, yes or no, the newly created folder would be displayed.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi everyBody,
    I've created 2 user Forms binded with a 2 user tables (with diffrent UDOs)  and  everything works perfectly. When I tried to run it on a machine at a customer, the first form functions perfectly and the second one is created but does not appear!!!,
    I am lost!!
    Is there a problem of SQL  Server 2005?!
    Is it because of the nature of the machine (server or client machine)?
    Is there a problem of configuration (Operating System)?  I'm using Windows XP but the other machine is using Windows 2000.
    would somebody have an idea or suggestion?

    When the second form opens (but doesn't appear on screen) choose Windows--Cascade from the top menu. Sometimes a form will open outside the viewable area in the SBO client so choosing this menu option will reset it.

  • Newly Created Folder Under My Folders Does Not show Up in Answers

    I created a new folder in My Folders using "Manage Catalog". It shows up in the Manage Catalog window but does not appear in Answers even after I refreshed the display. I've successfully created folders in the past, but this suddenly stopped working. The only thing that I had done was rename the Subject Area in the Administration tool. Does anyone have any insight as to why folders created does not show up under My Folder. However, I am able to create folders under Shared Folders.

  • Some Media Card folders within 'documents​' folder not visible in Windows XP Pro SP3

    I have tried renaming these folders on the device (eliminating '.'s and generally shortening the folder names) and then connecting to a Windows machine again afterwards, however, I have two problematic folders (within the 'documents' folder) that are still not visible in Windows.
    One thing that is kind of troubling is that I thought I noticed that when I was moving files out of the 'documents' root directory (only place I can put files from the Windows machine [while connected] because I can't see the target folders in Windows) on the device to one of the problematic folders (again, because I cannot accomplish this in Windows), the original full-length folder name was still being referenced in the path displayed in the intermediate confirmation dialog.
    Does it matter whether the folders are created within the (connected to) Windows environment or done on the device?  Are there folder name length considerations or illegal characters?
    I have created (in the Windows environment, while connected) some rather long folder names (including ''' & '.' characters) within the 'pictures' directory and have no trouble seeing them later in Windows.
    What could be going on here?

  • Navigator Not Visible in Directory Manager

    On Win XP Pro Oracle Directory service does not start on boot, even though it is set to do so automatically. It will start manually from the Windows services app. After starting the service, oidctl runs successfully from the command line "C:\>oidctl connect=oid90 server=oidldapd instance=3 configset=0 start"
    On start up Oracle Directory Manager (ODM) accepts the orcladmin/welcome logon and displays the connecting message and loading schema message. ODM opens but does not display the Navigator panel. ODM seems to be connected to the database because Objects, attributes, entries etc. are visible by selecting choices from the Operations menu.
    When OID was first installed the navigator sometimes did and sometimes did not display. Now it is never displayed.
    Any suggestions appreciated.

    I am a Business Analyst and would like to get Oracle Workflow running so I can play with Workflow Builder. I'm just trying to get my hands dirty with this stuff. I want to use OID as a directory server for workflow.
    I uninstalled 9.0.1.1 in installed 9.2.x.x. The results are similar.
    The Bind request to LDAP failed error re-appeared. I had somehow worked around this on the previous install but I don't know how. The command ldapbind -h trburns -p 389 -D cn=orcladmin -w ohwgwead returns Cant contact ldap server. The error seems to be common as it appears in numerous postings but I havent seen a clearly described explanation and solution.
    Do you have access to Oracles knowledge base? It must have a description of this problem.
    I can open ODM after the bind failure by clicking the close icon. Double clicking the banner works in cases where the navigator tree is not visible. Many thanks for that tip.
    Any authoritative information you could provide about the bind problem would be appreciated.

  • Lables fully not visible in the Tree node

    Hi friends,
    Some text in the tree node were not visible fully.
    example : instead of documentation, it just displays doc...
    instead of Library, it just displays lib....
    And the problem doesn't appear continuously. Sometime the text is fully visible and some time it doesn't.
    If I expand the tree the text is fully visible again. I couldn't reproduce the issue continuously. I tried tree.repaint(), tree.validate(), tree.invalidate(), tree.revaidate(). but it didn't work.
    Anybody can suggest what would be the exact problem?

    It's hard to say without seeing the code for TreeTable. But they probably have something like an addNode mothod for the TreeTableNode which will take care of all the updates for you. If you want to do it youself, you will probably have to get the data Model (tree.getModel()???)behind the TreeTable and use one of the fire... methods on it like fireRowChanged(???) or fireTableChanged(???). I would suspect Sun would do it this way.

  • Newly created index not being used

    Hello friends,
    I am observing that a newly created index on a z table with mandt & a new field is not being used. I have already rebuild index & updated stats for table.
    when we query on this table with where clause having same 2 fields mandt & other.. we expected this index to be used. This table is very large. What more i can do now ?
    In trace/SQL session, we can see it is going full table scan.. and takes very long time.
    this new field contain no data as of now for all existing rows. Is this the reason ? or sometihng else ?

    Hi,
    with this WHERE clause, both columns just one distinct value, the Full Table Scan is indded the best approach, beside
    the point you only need a check to evaluate a value is NOT in the result.
    In this case you should HINT the statement to the new index, because the DB will always assume that this index is non-selective.

  • Wageytypes which are newly created  are not showing up in the prod.server

    I have newly created 2 new wagetypes.
    1.Arrears on housing loan subsidy  2,arrears on Vehicle loan subsidy
    They are properly showing up in Dev server and properly transported to Quality Server.IN Quality server also it is popping the new wagetypes through Infotype 0015 and system is calculating properly.
    But in Production server i am unable to see the newly created wagetypes through pa30.It is showing the message that """Specified subtype is Invalid""
    What could be the problem.Please advice me to sortout the problem.

    Hi Sai,
    Go to SE09 in the DEV system and search for the transport request that was created when you created the new wage types.
    Click on the transport request and press the transport log icon (second icon from right on the menu) OR choose CtrlShiftF2.
    This will display the details of all the activities performed with the transport request. As you have mentioned, the wage types are available in the QAS system, there should be an entry which says 'Import' for the QAS system.
    If the tranport has been applied to the production system, then the same entry should be seen under the Productions system node. If you only find an entry that says 'Selection for Import', then the tranport has not been applied OR if there are any errors, the same will be highlighted in the log.
    I hope this makes sense since it is difficult to explain the steps to analyse a transport request in a message. Let us know how it goes.

    From the error, your request parameter was incorrect. I guess your image name may be wrong. How did you write your Image name and url? I suggest you don't forget the '.VHD'. Also,if you use the
    VMImageName element which is only available using version 2014-02-01 or higher

  • Why would a newly-created OCMD not be written to the PDF?

    I'm concatenating a content stream from a second PDF onto the page content stream of a first PDF. Graphics and structure are working fine, but optional content is failing because the OCMDs I'm creating are being written as free objects.
    The function is passed an element from the second PDF's content stream. If the element is a container, the following is executed. I'm leaving out steps related to structure, because it works. Graphics also work. Even newly-created OCGs make it into the output PDF. I'm guessing the OCMD isn't written because there is no reference to it? But  I though the PDEContainerCreate() call would create that reference.
    1. Create an OCG with PDOCGCreate().
    2. Create an OCMD with PDOCMDCreate(). The OCG is set to control the OCMD.
    3. Create new container with PDEContainerCreate(), passing the new OCMD.
    4. Check the CosID of the OCMD.
    5. Create new content with PDEContentCreate().
    6. Assign the new content to the new container with PDEContainerSetContent().
    7. Add the container to the first PDF's content stream with PDEContentAddElement().
    8. Add all the sub-elements of the element from the second PDF to the new container.

    Things are always clearer in the light of morning. Passing false for the inline argument to PDEContainerCreate() is the cause.

  • Exclaimer manager signature does not update sent items for outlook 2013 clients when using cached mode

    I have Signature Manager Exchange Edition 2.0.3.0 installed on the hub servers.
    I have enabled  Sent Items update.
    some clients are not getting signature update in the sent items of outlook while using cached mode.
    from OWA, and MS Outlook when connected online, the signature is updated in the sent items.
    I have two CAS servers and two mailbox servers. all with Exchange 2013 SP1
    I tested each CAS server for the URLs of Autodiscover and EWS, with no errors or warnings.
    I also test Autodiscover through
    https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com . I go successful result.
    Outlook clients are updated to the latest version 15.0.4701.1000
    for outlook clients; I deleted outlook profile, deleted outlook folder in the user profile, re-created the  outlook profile, with no luck.
    from Exclaimer event logs on the Hub servers. the sent items update is successfully updating clients. below is the screenshot of an event for one email message which is successfully updated from exclaimer but it did not update on the client outlook while
    using cached mode.
    Since the issue is with multiple users, I am searching for a centralized solution

    Or you need to contact them to find a solution on this .
    I'm pretty much sure that this problem is related with some version mismatch on their s/w on exchange 2013 which is causing this issue.

  • Acrobat XI email attachment does not appear to work with Outlook 2013 64 bit

    When attempting to send email from Acrobat, the following Microsoft Office Outlook 2013 64 bit error message is received: 
    "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.  Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default email client."
    Naturally, Outlook was set as default client and then reset for good measure.  I did both Outlook and Acrobat repairs and have the latest 11.0.2 installed.  All other internal Office 2013 email applications work as well as seemingly all other embedded Acrobat funcitions with Office 2013 work well.  Office 2010 64 bit and Acrobat X worked fine.  I upgraded to Office 2013 64 bit and had the problem with Acrobat X.  I then upgraded to Acrobat XI and the issue remained.
    Most importantly, I intalled Office 2013 64 bit on my laptop with Acrobat X.  An the email attachment function works perfectly. 
    So, is there some sort of corrupt MAPI file that I have to overwrite on my desktop that the Ofice and Acrobat repair functions do not fix?

    I am sorry.  In my haste, not only did I attach the link the wrong way, but I also did not specify which solution worked.  My problem was a Click to Run issue.  The portion of the thread that deals with the problem is:

    I created a solution for this problem for 64 bit Windows 8 where Outlook 2013 was installed as Click-To-Run.......
    ......A  registry edit will fix the problem with Outlook 2013 click to run  installations and enable Outlook to be set as the default mail client.  This registry edit will for many third party programs eliminate the error "Either  there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot  fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it  as the default mail client." It  worked to resolve the problem where Adobe Acrobat was generating this  error.
    The registry edit is here for Office  2013 64 bit click to run installations that will enable Outlook 2013 to  be recognized by third party applications:
    1. Create registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook
    2. Create String value:
    Bitness
    3. Set the String value for Bitness to:
    x64
    This registry edit is an essential element  necessary to resolve the click to run problem that prevents Outlook 2013  from being set as the default mail client. Although it worked with  Adobe Acrobat, it will not completely resolve the  problem for some third party applications like Kerio Outlook Connecter  where the software developer has a web site that includes extra steps  necessary for a full resolution for the Kerio product. The Kerio web  site includes this registry edit in the context  of resolving the Office 365 problem. However, the registry edit works  with Office 2013 desktop as well. A similar register edit could likely  be made for 32 bit versions but the registry path would not include Wow6432Node. I do not have a 32 bit machine and cannot test a 32 bit solution."
