NF750 mobo and AMDPH II X4 940 3.0G

Simple question,
will this CPU work on this Mobo ?
It's not actually listed in the CPU Supported list, but then again, can everyone be listed?
It falls between better and lesser models, in TDP.
Just an oversight and it's not on the list?

Hmm.
I justed noticed it doesnt say anywhere that it accepts AM2+ chips,
so I guess that's the real question, does it or not?
 No, AM2 and AM2+ CPU's can not be used on AM3 MB's.

Those are called "system temp." and you can look it in Bios if your Mobo have sensors.

  • Need Sound Card Compatible With Intel D975XBX Mobo and Windows 7

Did a search and no joy. I built a home theater computer about 5 years ago around the D975XBX,? I was using the Sigmatel integrated sound via toslink to my receiver without any problems. I installed W7 yesterday only to find that there are no Intel mobo drivers for W7. So before I go throught he hassle and expense of replacing the mobo and processor, are there any sound cards that are compatible with this mobo and W7? I don't do gaming on this machine, or 3D, mainly 5. out to my receiver. Thanks.
    Tim?

DWell, I'll answer my own question. Finding it very hard to belei've that a driver wasn't available for the Sigmatel, I upgraded the Bios, then did another seach. Cha-ching, money!
I really like SB cards, but I don't like spending money when I don't have to.
Even though Intel said it stopped supporting?the mono?in '08, the bios was an '09 version. This may be helpful to others who are using this mobo.

  • Replaced mobo and HDD, now system says no hdd installed-HP dv5000

I had a perfectly functioning laptop one week ago, and then I decided to "upgrade" the HDD to SSD.
I attempted to clone the HDD over to the SSD.  The cloning process seemed to work fine.  When I installed the SSD, I got an error message "System Disk Error".  I re-installed the original HDD, and got same error message.
Thinking that I may have had a coincidental catastophic failure unrelated to my cloning attempt, I obtained a new mobo and HDD, installed both, and tried to install Windows fresh.  I now get an error message similar to "No HDD installed in system".
With a new mobo, new HDD, I did not anticipate this type of problem.
I do not have any restore or rescue disks.  I thought that if I put in a new HDD and mobo, windows should install without problem.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I assume that you have used the same sata cable on both motherboards. My guess is that the cable or its connectors could be damaged by replacing the hdd for the ssd. I don't think that you would have almost the same problem on a new mtb with a new hard drive.

  • MSI mobos and ATI graphics card incompability!

I don´t know how well known this problem is but I´ve seen it on this forum and when googling the internet you can find it!
The issue is that I can´t get my HD5450(Sapphire) to work on my MS-7267 (945GCM5-F V2) mobo! The screen stays blank but the PC boots up and loads Windows.
The HD5450 works fine on other mobos with different PSU´s ranging from 350 - 600 watts, but when trying different PSU´s on the 945GCM5-F V2 it doesn´t seem to help. I´ve also tried different bios settings, I´ve cleared CMOS, I´ve tried both dvi and vga outputs, I´ve disconnected as much as possible from the mobo except from the graphics card and the PSU, but nothing seems to help!
    Any ideas , someone?

    Thanks for all replies!
I had this question on the AMD forum (AMD Game » AMD Technology » Radeon Graphics » MSI mobos and ATI graphics card incompability!) and here are some of the replies:
"Well, its a known issue that older chipsets, like even AMD 580X chipset, doesn't work with 5k/6k series cards without a bios update from the manufacturer of the board.
If its not working / posting / no video ect... You need to bug MSI to update the bios on the board to support the newer 5k/6k video cards. It may or may not happen. Several manufacturers have like Asus, and Gigabyte."
"Same problem. 5450, MSI MS-7267 (945GCM5-F V2). Done the same plus updated msi mainboard bios using msi live update 5 etc. Waiting for reply from makers of graphics card and mainboard.
I should add from what I've read in other threads and forums it seems to be an old mainboard problem not just related to the MSI 945GCM5-F V2. Some other manufacturers of mainboards have sent customers bios upgrades to get their cards working.
As for your pci express version question. Well these problems seem to emerge when people have plugged these pci express version 2.1 cards into their pci express 1st generation slots. What exactly the problem is here? Leave that for manufacturers/experts to answer."
"Tek , its hit or miss on the board + chipset combination on if the card will work or not. Sometimes they will work in old boards, Sometimes they will not w/o manufacturerer support.
Its completely random from what I've seen on the forums at the times they were released , when people with old boards were asking why it wasn't working. And what they did to solve it. Most all of them emailed the manufacturer. Some of those said manufactureres provided beta bios back to the customers, some said your out of luck."
Its true, this MSI MS-7267 (945GCM5-F V2) isn´t a new mobo, but when I get the 5450 to work without problem with an even older fujitsu mobo (last bios update long time ago) and a 350 watts PSU I think something´s wrong.
So, a bios upgrade would probably fix it if the manufacturer (in this case MSI) just wanted to!

  • Power Mac G4 MDD MOBO and Processor Compatibility

I have two G4 MDD Motherboards. One MOBO is a 820-1474A (FW800) and the other is a 820-1476A (with just 2 FW 400 ports). I was told the 1476A is a 167Mhz buss and the 1474A is a 133Mhz buss board. I've tried installing a Dual Processor module PN 820-1472A onto the 1476A board but it doesn't work. It powers on, all the fans turn on, the processor gets warm and I see a RED light come on near the RAM slots but I don't hear that normal Apple 'GONG' sound during turn on. I know Apple built numerous CPU's (single and dual)for the MDD and some of these CPU's are not cross compatible. I'm really confused now with all these PN's and what CPU's can work on what MOBO. Where can I go to find out what PN's are compatible?? I tried two other single processor CPU's 1.25Mhz with the 1474A MOBO and I get the same results as I do with the 1474A MOBO. So now I have all these parts and no confidence on what is good and what is bad??
More Background -- I've got 2 brand new 512MB PC 2700 chips purchased from '4 All Memory' specifically for a G4 MDD, an Radeon ATI video card that works fine in one of my other G4's and my boot drive is an IDE 320G with OS 10.4.11 installed and the power supply is a API1PC36 (360W).

  • Message type and Process Code for 940 IDoc

    Hi,
what Message type and Process Code can be used for 940 IDoc when a SHPMNT05 IDoc is being used. We are using SHPADV message, SHPM process code for ASN. Can I use the SHPMNT message type for 940?
    thanks,
    Kumar.

should SD11 be the only process code to be used or can we use SHPM. I guess we can use both for shpmnt05. But how do I know which process code is more suitable for my purpose. is there any place where i can check that info?
Can we link SHPORD message type to a SHPMNT05 IDoc? i think this message type is more suitable.
    thanks,
    Kumar.

  • Would a Gigabyte 7DX mobo and SB Live 5.1 work ok together? No conflic

Hi, I was considering getting one of the refurbed SB Li've 5.'s on this site, and was wondering if there are any known conflicts between the Gigabyte 7DX motherboard and the SB Li've 5., because I had heard that in some cases certain motherboards (a different one by Gigabyte, I believe) did conflict with the Li've 5..
Also... are there any known conflicts between the 7DX's Via 686B South Bridge and the Li've 5. I had heard that some Via chipsets and the Li've 5. don't play well together.
This is under Win2000, and ACPI is in effect, so the Li've 5. (in fact, anything in any of the pci slots) will be on the same IRQ as the AGP slot, the currently used onboard sound, and both USB controllers. The Gigabyte 7DX mobo also normally has a Creative PCI 28 (CT 5880) integrated into it, but in my case it seems to have been omitted, prob. b/c of it being OEM... incidentally.
    In any case, thanks...

    Hey Guys,
You seem to be knowing a lot about SB conflicts with Gigabyte MotherBoards, Thus I decided to ask you about what I have.
I have lately purchased the Gigabyte Motherboard Model No. GA-G975X, with the onboard Creative CA006 chip.
    I use an Intel Pentium 4 processor 3.4GHz , 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache
    I use .00GB of RAM
My OS is Microsoft Windows Professional Version 2002, Service pack
    <SPAN>My Problems are:
<SPAN>The sound of a played media stops abruptly and keeps repeating with a high pitch till it shuts down the player software & the System.</LI>
    <SPAN>The OS restarts.</LI>
<SPAN>I have noticed that the problem occurs if I try to use another program or service beside the one using SoundBlaster. (ex. dialup using a phone line.)

  • Old mobo and cpu compatibility

    Hi everyone,
I have an old pc with a msi ms-7301 and an Intel core 2 duo e6300.
I want to buy on ebay an Intel core 2 extreme x6800 to upgrade this old and slow computer...
Will the mobo support this cpu?
They are both lga 775, 1066mhz FSB, 65nm...
    p.s.
I know that this mobo is OEM, but please help me, don't close this topic! Packardbell has a very bad support and my computer is very old... I contacted them but they didn't reply me
    Thanks.

  • MSI P965 Neo-F mobo and ASUS EAH4850/HTDI 512MB

Hi I have the MSI P965 neo-f motherboard and I am interested in buying a new graphic card for my computer. But I am concerned about compatibility issues of my motherboard with different graphics cards. Currently I am interested in buying the ASUS EAH4850/HTDI 512MB graphic. Does anybody knows if my motherboard will work with this card? Did someone had any issues.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi NovJoe,
Thanks for the reply. As far I can tell the card is backward compatible with PCI-E 1.0. I just wanted to ask if someone has actually used this card with my mobo to make sure that there are no compatibility issues.
    Thanks,

  • Anyone paired up a MSI K8N Neo4 mobo and a thermaltake soprano w/PSU

    hello,
im pretty new here, im about to build a new computer, im getting a MSI K8N NEO4-F, and the case im getting is a thermaltake soprano w a thermaltake PSU, some ppl are telling me that the PSU only has a 20-pin power connector, will that work in the K8N neo4-f mobo ?
    any help would be appreciated
    thanks

i didnt mess with the door alarm thing lol didnt want to waste my time.  I just use my aspire 520 watt the amps are in my profile its only a 20 pin but it kicks a$$, Strong amps and great cooling.  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817148008  its a little longer so when installing and removing psu just unscrew the four little screws for the top USB

  • Mobo and NO CPU

    all,
3 questions?  (1) what happens when you have a healthy KN8 plat system without a CPU when you attach power to the PSU? (2) same as 1, but assume PSU has been plugged in and you then  hit the power switch (again no CPU) ? (3) if the system turns over (from no 2) does the bios post with a CPU error ?
    Thanks in advance,
    ventura

    tire,
this was a hypothetical question to see what a healthy system does...that being said...I have another thread about my current problem that is call "is this a bad board"
MY (2nd RMA, that fails differently then the original) system has 4 red LED's....as soon as you plug in power to the PSU the whole case powers on without hitting the power switch (drives, LED's ect)
but the bios does not post, and the vdo card and CPU do not get warm. I have pulled the CPU and the same behavior happens.
the long and short of it is this: I am trying to determine if my mobo or CPU is the issue. I think mobo (based on the fact the the power/reset buttons are not working and none of my componets are heating up) but knowing the answer to the oringinal questions (specifically 1 and 2) will assist greatly in knowing if I should send my processor out to AMD for replacement also
    Thanks

  • [VIA] KM4M-L Mobo and XFX6200

Installed a new graphics card in the mobo to replace the onboard VGA, its a XFX6200 128Mb.  It boots up fine but is not recognised.  The system on has a generic cheap PSU.  Would this cause the AGP card to run as a low power 16 colour 640*480 res screen?
Tried installing newest Nvidia drivers but they say a Nvidia card is not installed, but it clearly is as I have my monitor attached to it and it is displaying.
All help appreciated, especially as tomorrow is my last chance to get a new PSu.
    thanks

if you gave us the specs of your "generic cheap PSU" we would probably have a better idea...as well as full details of hardware in your system
    other suggestions to try:
    # which Via chipset drivers do you have installed? try Hyperion 4.43 if you haven't updated recently (VIA Drivers) though there is little point trying anything later with that chipset
    # uninstall any old Via display drivers, as well as the new Nvidia drivers. run Driver Cleaner to thoroughly clean out all traces of old drivers, then reboot and install nVidia Drivers

  • 745 ULtra mobo and Kingmax 512md ddr400 problem

:help:HI im new here.  can anybody help me - forum members or MSI techies.  I own a newly bought (less than a week) MSI 745 Ultra mobo, amd xp 1800+, inno3d geforce2 mx 400 64mb, kingmax 512mb ddr400, seagate 20gb and 2 other smaller hdd installed.  I tried to boot the system but the screen shows just the logo of msi and continous beeps from the board. I cant enter the bios settings. I tried to boot from the other hdd and switched the ram to the other slots but still the same results.  I cant boot from the cd or diskette either.
I am thinking that MSI 745 Ultra mobo doesn't support kingmax 512mb ddr400.  Im very excited to use the unit but it let me down when this happened.  Maybe you guys out there can help me.  thx
    12/10/03 9:30am

    hey cody thx.
I have solved my own problem.  The ddr400 can run on 745 ultra after all.  the culprit is the cpu heatsink and fan (globalwin all copper) .  it was first connected (molex connector) directly to the psu. The mobo didn't boot up bcause the cpu fan sensor didnt see a a fan connected to the cpu.  I guess it was a safety precaution of the mobo so that the user won't fry his cpu if it doesnt have any cooling gadgets yet.
MSI did a good job but i hope those guys put something in the manual about a case like this. something like "always make sure the heatsink/fan is connected to the mobo."
    the d-bracket didnt show anything.
do you own a athlon 1800+? how high can i get this to run? any good settings?
my problem now is that my monitor broke down on me.  got to buy a new one again. i cant wait to tinker the unit.

Wiped and started again with windows install and same thing.
anyone else experience this? any thoughts?
