No 4G connectivity option using Wind GR

Hello to all!
I am a happy owner of a BlackBerry Z30 smartphone. Few days now Wind mobile operator here in Greece provides 4G connectivity but unfortunately i can't have that on my Z30.. Below you will find few details that might be important:
- Model Number of device is STA100-2
- Software release is 10.3.1.1767
- Under LTE Operting Bands Capability i read numbers 3,7,8,20
- All Wind users have the same problem (as i read on greek forums)
- If i use a vodafone or cosmote sim card (the other two operators we have here in Greece), i have 4G on Z30.
As far as i understand, there is no good cooperation between BB OS and Wind sim cards. This is something that BlackBerry sould solve, right? Do we know when we will have an OS update (i guess) that will solve that?

Yes, the other phone is probably in the list of devices supported by your carrier.
I'll tell you how my friend got the 4g activated on his Nexus with At&t. All phones come with an IMEI number which contains the device information, brand and make. When my friend called At&t to activate his 4g, they asked for the IMEI, he gave the IMEI for his Nexus and AT&t said that their 4G ain't supported on that device which is essentially a bunch of **bleep**.
Then we read up on the internet how to get it activated. Next day, we walked into an At&t store, picked up one of their demo phones (I think it was a samsung galaxy), copied the IMEI number on a piece of paper. Stepped out of the store, called customer care (from the nexus phone, mind you), gave her the IMEI we copied pretending it belongs to the nexus. She checked it in her system and boom 4G got activated on the Nexus. They sometimes just check if you are using a carrier registered device, else these phone companies give you a hard time.
You can try this trick if simply talking o them doesn't work. Don't tell them you learned from me though

I got a requirement to display excel charts with data source as SharePoint list.
Here are the steps which I am following:
Exported SharePoint list to excel sheet and exported connection file to local drive.
Uploaded to data connection library.
Created a new excel file and consumed data from connection file which was stored in data connection library.
Published the excel sheet to document library with publish options as Chart and Pivot Table.
Able to see Excel Chart and Pivot table from the browser.
Getting Error when I try to refresh the excel sheet to get updated data from SharePoint list.
I added data connection library details to Trusted Data Connection & Trusted File locations still I am getting error. That .odc file is not in Trusted Location.
"The Data Connection File used in the workbook is not in a trusted location. The following connections
failed to refresh:"
Please help me on this and suggest if there is any other approach to fulfill this requirement.

I created a new document library and data connection library and tried the steps mentioned below:
Configuration
Enable Claims to Windows Token Service
The first step, check the status of the Claims to Windows Token Service on SharePoint.
Use the following instructions to check and enable the Claims to Windows Token Service.
In Central Administration, in System Settings, click Manage services on server.
Select Claims to Windows Token Service, and then click Start.
Verify the service is also running in the Services console:
In Administrative Tools, click Services.
Start the Claims to Windows Token Service if it is not running.
Create a New Secure Store Application
Create a New Secure Store Target Application and set the credential.
This credential will be used by SharePoint to access the database. The account set into this step need to have access to the database or SSAS cube/tabular databases.
Use the following instructions to create and set credential.
In Central Administration, in Application Management, click Manage service applications.
Click Secure Store Services, and then click New.
Target Application Settings:
Tagert Application ID: ExcelServicesSSS
Display Name: Excel
Service Secure Store App
Contact e-mail: [email protected]
Target Application Type: Individual
Target Application Page URL: None
Click Next.
Click Next again.
Target Application Administrators: contoso\administrator
(Type the user account that will administrate the Secure Store Application.
Click OK.

Type Credential Owner, Windows User Name and Password.
Configure Excel Services
Add the Application Id created in the previous step to the Excel Services and configure the Trusted Data Connection Library.

Click Excel Services Application, and then click Global Settings.
On External Data, Application ID type ExcelServicesSSS.
Click OK.
Click Trusted Data Connection Libraries.

Can I connect and use a Dell projection unit..several years old...with my new Macbook Pro? do i just need an adaptor for the multi-pin plug?

I would like to use my old Dell projection unit with my new Macbook Pro laptop, but obviously there is no such plug in the Macbook. Is there an adaptor I can connect and make it work? Without the old "F" keys, how do I get the Macbook to provide output to the projection unit? I don't see an icon on a button anywhere?

You have to determine what connection options are available on the projector. You probably will need a Mini-displayport (Thunderbolt) adapter. that can accommodate the projector.

The active connections are displayed there are only one active connections when it is disconnected . An another message comes in as connection needed to continue nokia maps . And when use no message popup again and again and I can't use maps .... I have formatted phone memory and memory card several times and I have updated phone program also . Can you please help me .

Please bear in mind two processes involved here, OVI Maps application which may either be "Online" or "Offline" (spanner icon > Internet > Connection) and Assisted GPS feature utilizing a network access point (Menu > Applications > Location > Positioning > Positioning server > Access point).

Dual External Independent Monitor Connection Options

Folks -
I am trying to understand my connection options that will allow me to achieve two independent monitors. My hardware is a TP T410 (2518-4JU) (Nvidia NVS 3100M) and a docking station Type 4338 (PN 45N5888 FPU PN 45M2490). The docking station offers VGA DB-15 connector, 2 each DVI connectors and 2 each Display Port (DP) connectors.
I think I understand that I can use.....
VGA port and any ONE of the available digital ports
or
both DVI ports
or
both DP ports
or
one DVI and one DP connector
Does that seem correct?
My monitors will accept VGA or DVI connectors and they run at 1920 x 1080.
I also want to mirror one of the monitors onto a HDTV via the HDMI port on the HDTV (don't want to use the computer connection port on the TV). I plan to split one of the digital outputs and then adapt up to HDMI cable for the run to the HDTV.
Will I encounter problems with the HDTV HDCP protocol since the signal is getting split?

When did you buy the T410? also did it came with optimus technology?
if it is the standard nvidia gpu version, then the display output options you mentioned is correct. If your T410 came with nvidia optimus, then it will support 4 external LCD.
Not sure how HDCP protocol will be affected when the signal gets split.

Direct BW Query Connectivity Option in Xcelsius

Hi Experts,
I have just attended Tech Ed-2009 , and found that Xcelsius offer the direct connectivity to Bex Query.
Which Xcelsius version offer this functionility ?
I have Xcesius Enterprise - 2008 at Sp-2 level , however i don't see any direct connectivity option there.
I have seen the interface in tech Ed and there is option of "SAP" on the top left where the file and edit and view appers.
Please help me in finding that version ?
Also is that version is available for trail download ?

Best Practices for SAP, connections to use without BW

Hello,
Could you help me to solve a problem with Best Practices 4.31?
SAP Integration Kit XI 3.1 SP3 has 4 options :
u2022     SAP Infosets
u2022     SAP BW MDX Query
u2022     SAP BW Query
u2022     Table, cluster ou function
When I install SAP Integration Kit XI 3.1 SP3 for serveur, I have one additional service in my CCM, BW Publisher 12. This service is from SAP BW.
From the article /people/glen.spalding/blog/2010/08/04/the-full-montypart-13bobj-integration-kit-sp3-install-configure and installation guide for IIntegration Kit XI 3.1 SP3 I've learned that I need SAP BW to use Infosets dans Crystal Reports.

Could you give me your opinion about this question?

the InfoSets are a connection option for the classic InfoSets in an ERP system. Would suggest you take a look at the user guide for the SAP Integration Kit

8130 Bluetooth Connect Option Missing for Some Devices

I cannot connect to some bluetooth devices on my Blackberry 8130. Most devices I pair with have a connect option in the bluetooth menu but some don't, even though they have been successfully paired. I have a specific device, a Holux H-1200 GPS that I used OK in the past with my 8130 but now refuses to connect and I cannot manually conect since there is no Connect Option for this particular device in the list of paired devices. I have deleted and rediscovered the device multipe times. When I pair successfully the properties show the Services SPP slave listed. I have tried to enable and disable Trused and Encryption but nothing helps. The Connect Option is present for all paired devices except 2 or 3 on my BB. My bluetooth options are set at Discoverable yes, allow outgoing calls yes, address book transfer all entries, security level high, and all services are check marked. I am with Verizon and my phone software level is 4.5.0.56.

In my own personal experience I have found that sometimes elements of the page (such as the Get Sample or Buy buttons) don't load in or load in incorrectly. Most of the time I've found that simply going to another page then back to the previous page fixes the issue or, like you have done, browsing from another devices shows the page just fine.

'mass storage' connection option showing error mes...

Up until a yesterday , my phone was working fine . Then , yesterday , when I tried to connect it to my PC via the nokia-provided USB cable , things went kaput.
The phone began by working normally, asking me to select a connectivity option, while my computer gave me the message that it had detected a new MTP device , and then asked me to insert the disc that might have come with this device. I cancelled this , as always, and selected the 'mass storage' option on my phone. At this point , the phone gave me this error message :-
"Memory card in use by another application. Please wait."
and the computer , instead of treating the phone like an external storage device , began going through the same sequence of " found MTP device . Please insert disc " over and over . This is happening even after I reset my phone to factory settings. What do I do now ?
Can anyone please help ?

Are you sure you selected Mass Storage mode on your phone in the connection prompt, and not Nokia Suite / Ovi Suite / PC Suite? If you have restored your phone to factory settings and are stil having problems, then you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care point for them to inspect.

One of my clients has an environment similar to yours with an internal pair of F5s and a pair used for the access from the internet.
I am only going to focus on the method using an F5 Load Balancer and SSL Offloading. the setup of the F5 will not be covered in detail but a reference to the documentation to support SharePoint and SSL Offloading will be provided
Since you arte going to be using SSL Offloading you do not need to extend your WebApps to use separate IIS WebSites with Unique IP Addresses
Configure the F5 with SSL Offloading
Configure a Internal AAM for SSL (HTTPS) for each WebApp that maps to the Public HTTP FQDN AAM Setting for each WebApp
Our environment has an additional component we require RSA Authentication for all internet facing Sites. So we have the extra step of extending the WebApp to a separate IIS WebSite and configuring RSA for each extended WebSite.Reference:

Connectivity issues using MS Query in Excel

Hi,
I am currently having an issue with the connectivity when using the MS Query. This started about two weeks ago. I am running Windows 7 enterprise with office 2010. I am pulling data from an Oracle Database using the Microsoft ODBC for Oracle driver. Two
weeks ago using the MS Query option, it would take seconds for the two to connect. Now it takes 20 to 30 minutes and that is if it connects at all.
I am unsure of why all of the sudden the initial connection between the two is taking this long. To my knowledge no major updates or patches have been installed to either software.
Any advice would be great.

Are you using SQL plus? Have you tried Oracle's SQL
developer? It is free, does not require an install
on your computer (you can run it from a flash drive),
and it exports pretty smoothly to excel.I'm not using SQL Plus -- this was purely excel / ODBC as the client and Oracle as the database layer.
I had looked at SQL Developer, along with DB Visualizer (along the same lines , as a sql gui with some export capability to .csv and excel formats). However, I don't think it quite served my purpose in trying to have a workable data-source where I could pull from Excel and use VBScript or C# to do the manipulation and customized reporting/charting/pivot-tabling.
My eventual workaround was to bypass MS Query altogether for creating the 'external data table' in Excel, and instead create the query through code.

How can I see the connect option when mapping a printer microsoft iis 7

We use iis 7 web printing. Firefox is our browser of choice. However, when we go to our webpage to map a printer, and click on a printer, there is no connect option to install the printer. This is only in firefox. Internet explorer works fine once you click the compatibility option.

Looked through all of material, none have the answer. Firefox browses to the directory fine, x.x.x.x/printers. but you cannot install the printer because the "connect" option is not there.

SAP BO Analysis "Show Connections" option inactive

Hi all,
While trying to open a workbook or a datasource in SAP BO Analysis for Excel, I am trying to locate SAP systems which are not included in my local "SAP logon". Though, the option of "Local System" in the show connections option of SBO Analysis is my only option as the dropbox is inactive.
According to the User Guide, all other options (All/System/Cube/Infoprovider/Query/Query View) which are included in the "Connections" section are referring to Business Objects Enterprise which is not my case.
Any ideas will be much appreciated.

We are using web based INI and while accessing through advance analyzer we are not able to see list of all sap systems in the sap log on pad. We are getting blank window as you see in below screen shot. Where local system is disabled, please guide me here to unable the all sap system in log on pad.
