No authorization for OSS

D/ Friends,
I'm opening OSS site http://service.sap.com/notes. I'm entering my User ID & Password, but sys is showing "Authorization Error". When I'm requesting for a new password, another err is coming "The specified e-mail address, xxxxxxxyahoo, is not assigned to user S000XXXXXX." Data entered is 100% correct.
Pls advice.

I'm trying to build a connection between SAP TAO 2.0 and SolMan. I recevied following error message: for one of my user:

You have mentioned you have received one of your user? rest of the users is it working?
Looks like i also received this error message when i did not instlal my ST-400 ..TAO Agent..i saw the same error message in the log.
Did you follow the this note to install SAP TAO - agent properly (OSS note - 1368112) ?
When you did self check are you getting any warning messages?
1440074 - Check this note also for RFC authorizations

No authorization for company code in MRBR

Transaction MRBR is currently wide open. Anyone with authorization to this transaction can unblock invoices in any company code.
Standard security profiles can only restrict users at universal (*) or purchasing group level. We require control on company code.
OSS 399953 suggests creating validation rule (GGB0) to test user authorizations for transaction MRBR and authorization object F_BKPF_BUK.
Can anyone supply the validation coding to solve this security problem?
Is anyone familiar with this problem ? Do you have a solution ? also None standard SAP solutions are welcome

Another option could be to implement an authorization check in the BAdI MRM_RELEASE_CHECK - this is, of course not Standard.
The code could look somthing like this:

    AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'F_BKPF_BUK'

No Authorization for Planning plant in MIGO

Hi Gurus,
I have an issue for the Goods Receipt for multiple line items of account assigned( F) PO.
When user try to receive goods thru MIGO, system throws an error (dump) saying "NO AUTHORIZATION FOR PLANNING PLANT XXX" even though roles are assigned to the user.
I went thru the OSS note 385830 but it hardly helped me.
Pls throw some light on the issue...

Hi,
Check for the Authorization Object that system is referring for the error in SU53 transaction. You may process the transaction and once the error comes, go to transaction SU53 check for the Authorization object there.
You can check the roles available for a given authorization object in SUIM transaction.

Managing authorization for IC web client

Where can we find autorization objects used for the IC web client ?
- I cannot find any documentation on this topic.
- There's no transaction code and by the way no SU24 definition.
- Declaring the IC WEB BSP in transaction PFCG, no object are associated to the profil.

Authorizations for Information Braoadcastin not adequat

we got the following Problem:
If a user have authorizations for the BEx Analyzer he could plan and start Information Broadcasting settings by himself. As an answer of an OSS-Call we should create authorization of the Iview for Information Broadcasting. In our opinion it is to late when the user gets the information the he must'nt start the Information Broadcasting when he had started it already.
Is there any other solution ?

Giving Authorizations to OSS ID

Hi,
My user is super user,I want to create ossids for my consultants and and i want give some authorizations only for that ids(Ex:no download access like that).where i have to create ids and authorizations for them in service.sap.com.

Goto service.sap.com/support and click
Data Administration --> User data --> Request new users
than provide the below details
1) User Details
2) Password
3) Provide the authorization (if you know any other OSS ID of same authorization copy it, otherwise you have to select the authorizations one by one)
It will take couple of minutes for SAP to provide the OSS ID after creating the request.
Check the OSS ID in display requested Users.

What changes are required for OSS note 456507

Hi All,
PLease advise me what changes are required for OSS note 456507 (Assign the function groups QOWK or ORFC in the authorization object S_RFC to tRFC/qRFC users).
Im thinking of just going with the following additions to Role
AAAB Cross Application Auth Objects
S_RFC
Activity 16
Name of RFC - *
Type of RFC - *
But wanted to check what the implications of doing such a thing were, are there any negative points that you can think of opening up the access as above, as opposed to what was suggested in the OSS note?

Hello Sandhya,
S_RFC is needed in case of making any RFC calls.
Normally it is needed for users that are mentioned in RFC destinations.
As such mostly these users are system/communication users or super users.
Without giving access to function groups through S_RFC successful RFC call can´not be done.
Now the value of field name of RFC can be * but only for those users which are really global super users. In case you need this authorization for any selective functionality as in you case only for function groups QOWK or ORFC then you should try to restrict the access. Negatiity is only that in case of * the authorization access increases but for system or super users you dont need to worry too much really because with system/communication users no one can login and the super users will have sap_all generally. Also their passwords will be a well kept secret so that a miususe can not be made.
By global super users I mean users which are used for various types of activites.

Authorization for opening & Closing posting periods - OB52

Hi,
Is there any way to set authorization for opening & closing of posting periods in OB52?
My scenario:
I have 2 company codes - A & B assigned to 2 different posting period variant - say PPA & PPB.
The user belonging to CoCd A should not be able to open/close posting period of CoCd B and vice versa.
Is this possible through any authorization settings?

Please go through the following:
You can assign authorization groups for permitted posting periods. This means that, for example, some posting periods can only be opened for particular users within monthly or annual closing. You can only assign the authorization group at document header level and it only affects period 1. The authorization object is called F_BKPF_BUP (Accounting document: Authorizations for posting periods). Read the corresponding chapter on "User maintenance" in the "Assigning authorizations" topic.
"User maintenance"
Due to the modular authorization concept of the system, you can define authorization profiles which are tailored to the workplace of your employees. You can, for example, assign authorization to a workplace in the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or General Ledger Accounting areas.
By assigning authorizations you define which business-related objects your employees are allowed to process and which editing functions are allowed.
In the following activities for authorization management, you must carry out the following for employees who are to work with the system:
Assign authorizations
The authorizations are assigned by specifying permitted values for the pre-defined objects.
Define profiles
In the SAP system, authorizations are grouped together in workplace profiles. Therefore one or more profiles must be allocated to the individual employee in the master record.

Authorizations for materials and material groups

Hello experts,
Is it possible to limit the authorization to make purchase requerisiton of some materials or material groups depending on the user?
I heard that it is possible be able to update some materials using the authorization M_MATE_MAT and including them in the material master, material group and user. But this also works for the creation of purchasing documents (PR,PO,RFQ,...)? Do I have to include this authorization for all the materials? If they do not have I understand that works for every people.

actually Authorization works at the object level, i.s if you have provided the authorization for the user to makePR with certain Material Grp, then if you dont define that grp in the PO role, but still user will get the authorization from the PR role.
why you want to allow the user to make the PR of certain Mtrl Grp for which he should not be making the PO.
or let a different Body take care of the other mtrl Grp.

Cancel a SD invoice error message "no authorization for transaction FB08"

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to cancel a SD invoice and am receiving the error message " no authorization for transaction FB08" is coming. Never has this happened in past, i have checked all the security authorizations also and they are in place. Accounting document status is showing as not cleared. Also, as per my understanding cancellation of invoice happens through VF11 which does not calls FB08. Please point out reasons as to why this could be happening and the possible solution thereof.

Once you got the error screen, immediately after that goto T code SU53 and expand all link. Take the screen shot and send it to your BASIS team to provide you proper access.
Yes you are correct cancellation is done through VF11 but sometime some programs internally calls other T codes.
take help of your basis team.
