If you have several Apple devices feeding to the same iCloud account, is there an amount of storage made per device available free?  So that you are rewarded for the additional devices?
If this multi purchase if devices is not rewarded with a larger cloud storage being available, would it then be best to have several separate cloud accounts?
Would you lose the ability to mesh data between devices???  Of could you choose to share a smaller part of the data and yet save the rest of the device data to their own cloud?  So in other words, split a devices stored data between 2 different icloud accounts?   One community iCloud account for partial data and individual account for data that does not need to be shared with the other devices, however it needs to be backed up.  The simpler solutions would be If you have several Apple devices feeding to the same iCloud account, an amount of storage made available per device (ie: 5 units of storage free per device)
~ So that you are rewarded for the additional Apple devices by giving 5 more units of storage or backup space per device

Nobody here is an Apple employee, and my Christmas Season has been great, thanks very much. Neither am I jealous, I just abhor the fact that so many people these days expect more and more for free, in addition to what they already get for free. First world problems...
Obviously Apple do consider people with multiple devices, since the whole purpose of the service is to keep data in sync across multiple devices. Clearly, after consideration, Apple decided to give 5GB of storage for free and provide customers with the option to buy more storage if they want/need more, in line with competing services.
Everyone has their own set of unique circumstances but does that mean everyone should be rewarded with extras for free? At what point should it be considered acceptable to actually pay for additional extras you want?
And by the way, somebody expressing a different opinion, and discussing people's expectations is not being rude. Aren't you from the country that supposedly takes 'freedom of speech' rather seriously?

  • No audio devices available in late-2013 iMac

    Updated Mavericks to 10.9.1 yesterday.
Today there are no analog audio devices available for output.  Airplay devices work normally.
I have reset PRAM, disconnected all peripherals etc.  Have tried connecting audio devices to the 3.5mm output jack.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

This issue was resolved by re-installing 10.9 over 10.9.1.
Think I'll wait for 10.9.2 until I update again.

  • Cisco Prime LMS 4.2 Device Availability Poller & Portlet

The default, non-editable "System" Device Availability poller appears to be the only one used by the Availability Pie Chart Portlet. Or is there a way to a show a chart based on a user defined poller, which excludes devices known to be currently offline?

    Hi ,
It's true  that you will not be able to Delete the system Defined pollers ,however you can DEACTIVATE them.
selecet system defined device availblity poller and De-activate it..
Now created a NEW poller , add the devices which you are interested in. and you should able to see the data in the PIE chart for the user defined poller.
    Thanks-

  • E5 DAC/Amp Win8 error "There is no supported audio device available"

I've just received my Sb E5, and installed the software package (while the E5 was connected and charging) without "apparent" problems. However, if I start the software it will report a problem with reading the device, and if I use the menu and select "audio device selection" it will immediately report"
"There is no supported audio device available"
If I disconnect, the software's volume indicator will max, and then if I reconnect USB the volume will return to ~15%.
    Please advise ...
    TIA

Have you installed all of the drivers:

  • "No Audio Device Available" - Vi

My uncle bought the external sound blaster assuming it would work with windows vista, since it says this on the box... however as it turns out the disc doesnt carry the correct drivers... anyway, i've downloaded and installed these onto his laptop, and they all appear in mmsys.cpl with the heading "working properly" ... however, when I try to open creative smart recorder i'm told there is no audio device available, and the creative diagnostic says that hardware has not been detected, despite the fact that it is plugged into a USB port and the power light on the SB box is on. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out how to solve it's I've tried different combinations of inputs and had no luck and am running out of ideas. Also, when I play cassettes from the hi-fi, plugged into the line in on the sound blaster, then plug headphones into the phones jack, there is no output from that either. Any possible help that can be offered is much appreciated?thanks - dan

I've recently had the same trouble and still haven't solved it.
I have the "li've 24" usb soundblaster which worked fine on my previous computer running on Windows XP home. When I connected it to a new PC using Vista 32 bits it "created" all manner of problems, all of which I eventually resolved apart from the inability to use the smart recorder. It gives an error message that it can't find a device, which is obviously stupid as everything else works. I have tried running this part of the application in Windows XP compatibility mode but it makes no difference. I have virtually given up trying unless someone out there knows of a solution. As things are, it's a real nuisance not having this facility.

  • Smart Recorder - Audigy 2 ZS - Win 7 - "no audio device available"

LSmart Recorder - Audigy 2 ZS - Win 7 - "no audio device available"nI've got Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and a Creative Audigy 2 ZS. They've worked fine together, but I recently tried to install the programs that come on the CD and I can't get Smart Recorder to work.
It has a message saying "There is no audio device available on the system. The application will now close."? I checked my control panel and it definitely shows a my Audigy 2.
I found an old post that suggested using the CTZAPXX.EXE on the CD, but it didn't do anything. I watched the CPU go to 50% usage, but nothing happened for minutes. (http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-Blaster/Speaker-settings/m-p/40229)
How can I fix this problem with Smart Recorder?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Is it time to upgrade to X-Fi or another brand?

Are there any video capture devices available on Linux?

  • "no devices available" when connecting USB-9231

I use USB-9213 to gather temperature information. But the SignalExpress just can not find the devices. It shows No devices available.
I don't know why. I have installed Labview2012, DAQmx9.9, NI MAX5.6.  The devices can be find by the NI MAX.But  can't test the device.
Also, the  VISA Test Panel shows some problem about the attributions.(the last one, maybe: no proper initialized, I can't remember clearly.)
If anyone could help solve this problem? Thanks.

Since it does not work properly will all your iDevices, I suspect a problem with your Bose.

  • "No supported audio device available" ?

Win7, Creative board is: sound blaster X-FI Extreme Gamer.
Creative Consule shows the subject message whenever i try to open it. The creative player would show the same message but i re-installed it and it works fine.
Trying re-install the driver gives the old "device not found" message. In device manager there are no problem devices found. It shows the creative card and 2 High definition audio devices as "Working".
These are the driver/programs I am presently running:
    CMPlyr5_PCAPP_LB_5_25_02.exe
    CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_6_09.exe
    DDL_PCAPP_LB__3_00_-6.exe
    DTS_PCAPP_LB__03_08.exe
    SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_8_003.exe
Under Sound (Playback) I have the Speakers, Creative SB-XFi set as the default.
For recording I have Digital-In Creative SB-XFI as the default.
The music/videos plays just fine using any player that i have.
Problem is: No supported audio device available. How do i correct this and have a working console?
    thank you,

  • No boot device available error on Optiplex 780

I need help.  We purchased six desktop computers at a going out of business auction to use at our store.  We were told that they had all of the previous files removed from the old business and Windows 7 reloaded.  On all six of the Dell Optiplex 780 models the start up gives the error of "no boot device available" with the option of pressing the F2, F5 or F12 keys.  We have tried changing the boot sequence and engaged the default settings but no luck.  These computers were used as a call center and had been hooked up to a "company processing center computer".  They were sold "as-is" and there is no one at the old business to talk to.  Am I out the money or is there some fix so that these desktop models can actually be used as individual computers?  Each computer has the dell service tag and Windows 7 product key codes attached but since I can't get it to a start up page, I can't log on to any internet help from those computers.

    Hi HouseofTrains,
There seems to be an issue with the hard drive on your computer. I’d suggest that you run the diagnostics on the computer by following the steps mentioned below and check if there is any issue with the hardware on your system.
Turn on or restart the computer.
Immediately at the Dell logo screen, starting tapping the <F12> key once a second until the One Time Boot menu appears (if the computer boots to Windows turn the computer off and try again).
At the One Time Boot menu, press the <Down> arrow key to highlight Diagnostics, PSA+ or Enter ePSA, then press <Enter> to begin the PSA.
Write down any error codes listed. Reply to us with the error codes.
I’d also advise you to reseat the hard drive on the computer by following the steps below in the link and check if it resolves the issue.

Please let me know if this helps.

  • XSANE no devices available

    Hi,
I used XSANE for scanning for a couple of months, but couple of days ago, it started to tell me that no devices are available.
    I have HP Photosmart C3180.
I added my user to scanner group.
I ran sane-find-scanner under my user, gave back no scanners.
I ran sane-find-scanner under root, gave back this:
found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0 [HP], product=0x5611 [Photosmart C3100 series]) at libusb:001:002
    # Your USB scanner was (probably) detected. It may or may not be supported by
    # SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend's manpage.
tried scanimage -L, which gave me:
No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).
I reinstalled xsane, I tried deleting xsane from .sane at ~, I tried switching it on before the PC. Nothing worked.
I had some problems with my external harddrives (connected via USB 2) because of HAL update (policikit conf editing solved this). Couldn't the HAL cause this problem 2?
    Any sugestions?
    Thanks. Joenas

Joenas wrote:ok, so XSANE doesnt support it...so what should I do for scanning, any1 scanning with something else then XSANE?
Anyway its strange that it just stopped working... isnt there anyway to tell XSANE that my C3180 is some C3100, that is actually supported (some related scanner) to make it work?
    Thx. Joenas
    Yeah, It worked with xsane.
I bought the same exact Printer from salvation army for $10 (I think they got it from circuit city when they close all of their stores) and it worked in ubuntu out of the box. (Or at least the scanning function. No ink) But I'm having the same problem with arch and I don't know how ubuntu gets that to work so I can do the same in arch.
Edit: I installed hplip, Did what the post install message said, installed the optional dependencies, edited the /etc/user file and put my name under lp and scanner and ran hp-setup as root and bob's my uncle. (no, really he is , lol)

  • Console Launcher No support Audio Device Available

Note: Creative SB X-fi is detected (without a yellow mark) in my device manger. My card is an X-fi Titanium Fatalty Professional.
The easiest way I can put this is by explaining the mistake I made. Without installing the card, I moved it from one PCI-e slot to another, the one below it. This caused a small annoying issue that I decided to fix by totally uninstalling the card (correctly I hope) and putting it back in it's original slot. After reinstalling it via the disk it came with, when the computer restarts afterwards I am told that no supported hardware is detected and most of what seems to have installed correctly doesn't even show in my programs.
I have tried uninstalling and driver sweeper for HOURS straight over and over and so far nothing is working. Has anyone had a similar issue or know what the problem is? I've already made sure I'm using the same settings I originally used before moving slots but no dice.
P.S. During SOME of the updates or even installations, I? occasionally receive the error I-00 (usually during Alchemy or Creative Control Console installations or Updates) and I am told the installation can't continue. It does though, simply bypassing these things/
    I am using Windows 7 64bit

Update: I'm facing a new issue now during installation! -EVERY- time the install wizard finishes and I restart the computer, I see the volume panel icon on the task bar and Creative SB X-fi when I hover over it. However, when I double click to open the console launcher (Which installed correctly to my knowledge) I'm told no supported audio device is available.
Did I break my card or something after what I did earlier? Or is my disk screwed up now too? I'd really rather not use the motherboard's crappy audio, I can actually tell that the audio quality is lower.

  • How to list devices available ?

    Hello all,
I am new on the NI forum and I recently followed Labview training (Basic 1 & 2).
I would like to know how to get the list of available devices and the type of them.
Ideally I would like to have an array of that form :
    Device Name          Device Type
    Dev1                       NI PCI 4472
    Dev2                       NI PCI 6731
Is there a way to do that with Labview ?
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,
    Olivier Schevin

    I use the node:
    Device Names Property
    Short Name: DevNames
    Property of DAQmx System
Indicates an array that contains the names of all devices installed in the system.
This returns all device names without making an assumption about naming conventions such as Dev1 to Dev6. daqMx allows for naming the device with meaningful names through MAX.  I would encourage using daqMx, I found it a large learning curve over traditional DAQ but was well worth the time.  I would also assume with DaqMx there will be a phase out of coding using traditional drivers over the next several years (I could be wrong about this) .
