No " Find " Button in CUCM End User Configuration

Hello Community, we have two different 8.6.2 CUCM with the same Version.
I visit the two CUCM w/ the same PC and Browser. I go to End User Configuration and Edit one of the Users. I do this on both of this CUCM. At one of the  CUCM I see the "Find Buttons" to search for example " Controlled Devices " and at the second CUCM no Find Button there. It is at more Configuration points in End User Configuration and not depend from the End User. The CUCM Version is exactly the same!
Andy Idea appreciate!
Really Thanks Armin

Hi Jaime, Really thanks for your support and effort. It should be right!
Please see the count of entrys :-)
w/ the find button we have near 36.000 device profiles entrys
w/o find button we have 38 device profile entrys.
I can´t find anything in srnd etc.... regarding the limit.
For doublecheck I would increase the count of Deviceprofiles.
From which limit the "find button appears"?

where is button to accept end user agreement so I can download or read online file.  mac osx reader XI
every time i click  on a file to downloac
i get a reader message Before viewing PDF ... you must launch adobe reader and then accept the End User License Agreement. Ive searched  every part of the menu for this and cant fine it

Ok, so the Reader app works. Fine, but why did you say ",the reader won't open any more", that led us a confusing direction.
Ok, the problem is most likely caused because you downloaded Acrobat Pro, which takes over from Reader, then got rid of it. You now have part of Acrobat in Safari, not part of Adobe Reader.
There are two things to try to fix this. The first and easiest is to download and install Adobe Reader again. That should puts its stuff back in Safari with a bit of luck.
Important note for others following this thread. Downloading Adobe Reader is not going to help you if you have not understood and followed the instructions to "launch" Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat). Make sure you understand what "launch" means before downloading anything again.

  • CUCM End User Administration

Our Helpdesk staff performs the basic functions of add/remove phones and add/remove users from CUCM.  We've just upgraded from CM 4.2 to CUCM 8.5(1).  We are using the integrated CUCM LDAP and not AD integration.  My Helpdesk users are able to use the User/Phone Add option to create a new phone and a new CUCM End User.  They are able to edit all the necessary properties of the phone and line settings.  But with their current group/role memberships they are unable to change attributes of users or to be able to delete them.  The only Role I can see to add them to that allows changes to End Users is Standard CCMADMIN Administration and the only User Group is Standard CCM Super Users.  Both of those give far more rights than I would like Helpdesk staff to have.  Am I missing something obvious to allow them to perform End User management?  Has anyone else encountered this?  Below are the groups/roles my Helpdesk staff are currently part of.  Any help would be apprecitated.
    Bryan
I've added the users on our Helpdesk to the following Groups:
    Standard CCM Admin Users
    Standard CCM End Users
    Standard CCM Phone Administration
    Standard CTI Enabled
    Standard RealtimeAndTraceCollection
Which automatically adds them to the following Roles:
    Standard CCM Admin Users
    Stadard CCM End Users
    Standard CCM Phone Management
    Standard CCMADMIN Read Only
    Standard CCMUSER Administration
    Standard CTI Enabled
    Standard CUReporting
    Standard RealtimeAndTraceCollection

    Bryan,
If I remember correctly, there isn't a pre-canned role that will allow for End User administration. I don't know why.
Your best bet is to create a custom Role and User Group. This way, you can give your Helpdesk exactly the access they need. The descriptions for the Role permissions are pretty self-explanatory, so it should be pretty easy to accomplish.
    Steps:
    1) create new role
    2) assign permissions to the new role
    3) create a new User Group
    4) assign the new Role to the new User Group
    5) assign the new User Group to the End/Application User accounts for the helpdesk.

  • Find Task usage for end user

I want to use find task functionality on enduser interface. I configured a link for findtask.jsp on end user page. But on selecting the link; it redirect to admin user interface and prompts for login. Any idea why it's redirecting there and what can be done so that it works on the end user inteface only. The idea is to give this functionality to end user so that he is able to search any workflow task in IDM.
Let me know if anybody has provided similar solution or used this feature on end user interface.

  • Unity Connection 8.5 not import CUCM end users after reinstall

I needed to reinstall a Unity Connection 8.5 server (server crash due to power failure).
After the reinstallation and reconfiguration of the CUC, the same does not synchronize and / or import users from CUCM (version 8.5).
The CUCM is integrated with LDAP.
    The version of servers are:
    - CUC = version 8.5.1ES16.11900-16
    - CUCM = version 8.5.1.11900-21
Before CUC crash, I could import users usually.
The test in AXL servers in CUC is normal: (Test message successfully sent to AXL server 172.16.21.11:443).
    Any sugestions?
    Regards,
    Ronaldo Gama

    Hi Ronaldo,
This is because the CUCM actually holds a database where all of these users are still tagged as being imported into UC already.  You'll have to get fancy with some SQL queries, you can try these, but do it at your own risk.
    Open SSH to the CUCM
    1) For each user, find the mapping row:
run sql select pkid from enduserappservermap where fkenduser in (select pkid from enduser where userid = 'my_user_alias') and fkappserver in (select pkid from appserver where ipaddr = 'my_connection_server_ip')
In the query above, replace my_user_alias with the alias of the end user and replace my_connection_server_ip with the IP address of the Connection server (or whatever the old Connection server IP address may have been if you changed it after the rebuild).
    2) Delete the mapping row:
You should only get back one row. Delete it. Replace my_pkid with the actual pkid that you got back:
run sql delete from enduserappservermap where pkid = 'my_pkid'
Try to import that user again via AXL.  That's the user by user way of doing it if you don't have too many, but if you're confident they all can be deleted at once you can do the following:
    1.  Find all of the users mapped
run sql select * from enduserappservermap
    2.  The users should all have matching value in the "fkappserver" object ID column if they were mapped to the same pre-existing Connection server.  Once you've confirmed the "fkappserver" object ID of the old UC server, issue the bulk delete command, this is irreversible!
run sql delete from enduserappservermap where fkappserver = 'fkappserver_for_old_UC'
    Hope that helps,
    Brad

  • Change CUCM end User, no AD integration

We have CUCM (7.1.5.32900-2), we do not have Active Directory integration,
Is it acceptable practice if a user leaves, to just change the name on the End User config within CUCM, (setting up for use as a CAD agent), rather than deleting and creating new from scratch?
Everything stays the same on the End user except the name.
Or is the preferred method to delete existing user and creat a new one?
I realize if I change the name, I should delete the old resource in UCCX.

    Hi Wilson,
Please go through the below section.
Implications of Deleting Agents in Unified CM
Note     This section only applies to Unified CCX Deployments with Unified CM.
If you modify an agent's record in Unified CM (for example, changing the Unified CCX extension or deleting the agent),ensure to refresh the user page on Unified CCX Administration interface so that the agent's information in the Unified CCX RmCm subsystem is updated. Choose Subsystems > RmCm > Resources option to update the Unified CCX information in the Unified CCX Administration any time. If you change the Unified CCX extension of an agent who is currently logged in, the agent will continue to use the old extension until the agent logs off. The agent must log off and then log back in to the Cisco Agent Desktop to get the new extension.
When Unified CCX detects that the agent no longer exists in Unified CM, it does not automatically delete that agent from the Unified CCX database. Instead, the Unified CCX Resources page displays a new link called Inactive Agents. When you click this link, Unified CCX displays a list of agents deleted from Unified CM but still existing in the Unified CCX database. In this case, select the agents to delete from Unified CCX by checking the check box next to the required agent (or select all agents for deletion by clicking Check All). Then click Delete to remove the selected agents from the Unified CCX database. Unless you follow this procedure, agents deleted in Unified CM will continue to appear in the agents list in the Unified CCX Resources page, but they will not be able to log in as the Unified CM authentication will not be successful.
    Caution
Deleting Inactive Agents removes the agent details and records from the Historical Reporting Database and HR reports will not display historical information of these agents.
If Unified CM connection errors have occurred, all agents will not be visible to Unified CCX. In this case, Unified CCX interprets these agents as deleted agents. As a result, the Inactive Agents list will not be accurate. When the errors are resolved, click Inactive Agents again to see an accurate list.
    Hope it helps.

    Hi urusha,
Are you getting an error about the end-user license agreement when you try to view a PDF file in a web browser? If so, please see this thread: Re: Reader X problem - Accept End User License Agreement

    2. How do I have "FIND" button next to Phone Button Templet in Device Profile configuration window.

Name dialing not even sure where you got that screenshot, I also don't have it
Find is only available when you have so many phone button templates and they cannot be shown in the dropdown.

  • Is there an API for querying UCM v8.x End Users?

I am trying to find out what APIs might be available for an IVR application to query the list of end users configured on the UCM.
This would be for an auto-attendant type app which would be trying to route calls to specific users, so it would need at minimum a destination phone number to transfer the caller to.
Any pointers to documentation would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Convergys

    Hi Bob
You'd be looking at AXL. Documentation is at developer.cisco.com, log in and from the 'select an API/SDK' box selected Cisco Unified CM Administration XML.
You can use the API to pull specific XML objects containing all user properties (or lists of XML objects in newer CUCMs), or just do quick DB reads (for example 'select * from enduser') and then do what you will with the results.

  • Download and Upload  Report Layout for End User

    hi, i did the following
    1. create an xml data file
    2. load in in bipublisher
    3.create a layout
    4. create a report query in apex and load the rtf created in step 3
    5. test the report.
    it works fine.
my requirement is for trained end users (bipublisher trained) to download the rtf and edit it if need be. most of the editing will be text and they will not be editing any data fields. i will create a button for the end user to download the report layout, but what api can i use to download the rtf for them and where should i move the report layout (any apis for this) upon upload after the rtf is edited by the user.

    Hi All,
I am having CUCM 7.1.5 and CUPS 8.0(4) installed. The problem is when I tried to login the CUPS user page the it says "login failed". The CUPS intergration with CUCM seem to be fine because all the end users can be seen in CUPS. But I am not able to login the CUPS user page. Users have needed roles assigned to them.
CUCM is sycronized with LDAP server over SSL
Can anyone pls help me on this. What else I need to check? Is there any log to check on CUCM or CUPS?
    Thanks

It is not the problem login to the CUPC  (still I didn't tried it), I have problem login to the CUPS User Web page using end user credentials in CUCM
End users have needed roles assigned and they also are CUP enabled users
Pls can you suggest me to any thing to check, As I said our CUCM is sycronized with LDAP server over SSL

  • How to configure SharePoint HNSC with a reverse proxy server so that HNSC Share Point URLs are not exposed to end users.

Could you please let me know how SharePoint HNSC can be configured with a reverse proxy server so that HNSC Share Point URLs are not exposed to end users.
In normal path based site collections/web applications, reverse proxy configuration can be done using alternate access mappings with  Public URL = "proxy URL", internal = "HNSC Share Point URL" so that share point sends response back
to Public URL = "proxy URL".
In Host Named Site Collections,  alternate access mappings  are not supported. Each HNSC is designed to have only one URL in each zone. Zone is one of the five zones(Default,Intranet,Internet,Custom,Extranet) with each of which only one alternate
URL is associated.  This is what we are able to get using power shell command "Set-SPSiteUrl", but this will not help us to get the response back to proxy URL after a request sent to share point because we could not find any mechanism in share
point HNSC to respond  to a different URL(proxy URL). Consequently, Share Point URLs are exposed to  external users.
Below share point article in MSDN blog is symmetrical to what we are observing with Share Point 2013 and Proxy Server. It mentions that internal HNSC URLs can’t be hidden using any proxy server. If  hiding the internal Share Point URLS is a requirement,
it suggests to use a web application instead of host named site collections.
Though I’m also observing the same behavior with Share Point 2013 HNSC, Could you please confirm my understanding is correct.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/kaevans/archive/2012/03/27/what-every-sharepoint-admin-needs-to-know-about-host-named-site-collections.aspx
    Excerpt from above article-
"Host Named Site Collections Only Use One Host Name
Continuing on the discussion on AAMs and host named site collections, you cannot use multiple host names to address a site collection in SharePoint 2010. Because host-named site collections have a single URL, they do not support alternate access mappings and
are always considered to be in the Default zone.  This is important if you are using a reverse proxy to provide access to external users. Products like Unified Access Gateway 2010 allow external users to authenticate to your gateway and access a site
as http://uag.sharepoint.com and forward the call to http://portal.sharepoint.com. Remember that URL rewriting is not permitted. Further, a site collection can only respond to one host name. This means if you are using a reverse proxy, it must forward the
calls to the same URL.  If your networking team has a policy against exposing internal URLs externally, you must instead use web applications and extend the web application using an alternate access mapping."<u5:p></u5:p>

    Hi Satish,
You are right that only one URL is allowed for each zone of the host-name site collections in both SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013.
It is by design that each host-name site collection only support one URL for each zone.
The article below is about RTM version of SharePoint, and it is the same for SharePoint 2013 with the latest CU.
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2826457
So to make the URL of HNSC not exposed to external users is not supported, you need to use path-based sites instead.
    Best regards.
