No Wifi or bluetooth connection since kitkat update

Since the kit kat update my Razr M will not connect to Wifi or Bluetooth (not so worried about bluetooth I rarely use it) after reading suggestions from Verizon reps on the forums for similar questions I preformed multiple soft resets with no luck, finally I did a factory reset this did not work either any better suggestions. From some of the other post I've seen getting a new phone didn't help either as once the update ran on the new phone it had the same issues.

There is no damage, the toggle to turn on WiFi will not toggle to the on position and if you open the Wifi screen where you would normally see connections there is nothing there at the bottom you have the double arrow symbol the plus sign and 3 dots that I believe would be considered a sub menu the 3 dots are the only thing that will bring up anything when you touch it where the others I remember having something come up before the problems when you touch the dots it brings up a blacked out box you can read scan, WPS Pin entry Wi-fi Direct, Advanced and Manage Networks however the only option that is white and can touch is Advanced. when on that screen Network notification and Wi-Fi notifications are blacked out. I have tried changing the WiFi frequency band as i had seen that as an option to try previously in another thread however when i change it to the 5GHz only it immediately reverts back to auto.

My iPhone 4S will not discover any bluetooth devices since I updated to iOS7.  I have restored the phone to factory settings etc.. still not working!  I have tried this on numerous devices, e.g. handsfree in car, ipad.   Please help

    Hello there, DonnaLou.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some pretty extensive steps for troubleshooting Bluetooth issues:

  • SIII won't charge since KitKat update!

Since the KitKat update yesterday, I'm having these problems:
    1.   Touch screen is less sensitive and won't move up and down easily.
    2.   PHONE WON'T CHARGE!  I have to charge the battery externally and replace -- every few hours.
If I do factory reset -- will I need to reload all apps and all my crazy passwords?   What will the auto backup save -- contacts only?
VERY, VERY, VERY UNHAPPY -- LOVED MY PHONE BEFORE.   FURIOUS NOW.

This began within hours of updating -- no other changes.   I used verizon cloud to back up my device. When I try to charge, I get the red x that others have talked about.  When no charger / sync cord is connected, my battery life icon is white instead of green.   The battery life percentage drops very quickly.    I have been charging my previously unused samsung battery with an external battery charger and replacing it.   I also have a lithium ion battery and charger that I'm using.
    Thanks,
    Alli Wischer

  • Streaming desktop mac to apple tv via Airplay-Monitor is currently very bad connection since last updates

    Hello
I have this simple Problem. I can't watch any Movies or listen any Music by streaming my Desktop to the Apple TV Box (via AirPlay-Monitor) anymore since latest updates (Mac book and Apple TV Box). I also updated my fritbox 3390 but is not working
Streaming my Desktop to Apple TV Box was working very good before.
Does anyone know what this problem is?
    Thank you in advance

    Hello mirko,
If you are still experiencing streaming issues to your Apple TV from your MacBook, I would use these troubleshooting steps from the following article:
iTunes: Troubleshooting AirPlay and AirPlay Mirroring
    Wi-Fi Connection
If you are experiencing intermittent playback or significant network lag with AirPlay, it could be due to a weak Wi-Fi connection, interference, or the distance between the Wi-Fi router and your AirPlay-enabled device.
Ensure that other devices aren't trying to stream to the same Apple TV at the same time.
Ensure that your Wi-Fi router is set up with the recommended settings for the best performance.
Certain external devices, such as microwave ovens and baby monitors, may interfere with a Wi-Fi network. Try moving or disabling these devices.
If your wireless and wired networks are the same, try connecting your Apple TV to the router via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi.
Use the Wi-Fi network troubleshooting guide to resolve interference and other issues.
    Ethernet Connection
Temporarily disable firewalls (both network and local) and security software. Security software and firewalls may block ports that AirPlay uses to stream content. You can often resolve issues with security software by updating, correctly configuring, or uninstalling security software.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

After updating today to 3.0 on my 3G, the Bluetooth and WIFI is unavailable. When I updated, there was a problem which required me to Restore. After the restore, these items became unavailable. • Magic Mouse tracking poorly and losing Bluetooth connectivity since Mountain Lion upgrade

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion I have experienced frequent and inconsistant tracking from my Magic Mouse. It will work fine and then out of no where, and without any connection to a particular app or process (that I can identify) it will begin stop moving or move in a very jittery fashion. I'm also experiencing Bluetooth connection loss with the mouse from time to time out of nowhere. I cleaned the mouse and even went to so far as to replace it with another, brand new Magic Mouse and have seen the same problem.
I have also tried resetting PRAM and SMC.
Anyone else experiencing this or a similar issue? Have any suggestions of things to try?
    Mac Pro (Early 2008)
    Processor  2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Memory  26 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
Graphics  ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024 MB
    Software  OS X 10.8 (12A269)

Well , regarding of this issue i did some tests and i've reached to some conclusions to fix it.
    Steps
    1. turn off the magic mouse
    2. remove batteries
    3. put everything back and power on.
    4. pair your mouse again if you remove it from the tab
    5. leave the option discoverable marked down
    6. add to favorite from bluetooth menu (you will see a red heart with yes )
    7. should work for now
Test 1 : Mac mini 2010 with OSX Lion 10.7.4
Test 2 : MBA 2012 with OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.1
Conclusion : still have a bug not showing the right battery level (only 100%)but if you use "iStat" widget you will see the real level.
Magic mouse doesn't have, unfortunatelly the multipoint technology so if you use on multiple cpu in the same area can create instability (leave only one of a time and remove it from the bluetooth tab on other cpu)
I belive its working only using step 6, but to be sure

  • My ipad will not connect to wifi or itunes account since itunes update. Any ideas?

Since running the itunes update which failed, followed advice on here for deleting completely and reinstalling, which was successful.  However, now cannot connect my ipad to wifi or itunes, will not accept account and password details. Any suggestions?

    You're on a PC?
Go into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTUnes, Apple mobile device service, Apple Application Support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes and see if that fixes it.
If not there are more indepth things you can do.

  • Wifi problems on Macbook since installing update

My Macbook can no longer connect to my wireless network at home ever since I installed a software update (NOT Snow Leopard!) at the weekend. It worked fine until I installed the automatic update, which included an Airport Update & Security Update.
It now recognises the wireless network and asks for the WPA password but each time it tries to connect I get a "connection timeout" message. The password is definitely correct and as far as I know I haven't changed any settings.
It doesn't seem to be able to get an IP address, and creates a self-assigned IP.
All other computers in the house (PCs) and 3 iPhones are having no problems connecting to the wireless network, and the Macbook works when connected via ethernet cable.
I have tried the following to resolve the problem
    1. Restart router
    2. Renew DHCP (doesn't work)
    3. Pretty much everything else that you can do through Network Diagnostics/System Preferences
    4. Reset PRAM
    5. Reset all network settings, deleted existing networks and re-added them.
It's definitely NOT a hardware problem as the wi-fi worked fine on my friends non-secure network and in the Apple store.
I really want to figure out a way to undo this upgrade, but the Apple Genius at the store said that there was no need (annoyingly everything worked fine in store).
My router is a Belkin 54g which is set up through my boyfriend's computer.
If anyone can help I would be eternally grateful, I can't get any of my work done from home unless I am sitting right next to the router as our ethernet cable is only a couple of feet long!
I have seen lots of other posts on a similar topic but none that have provided me with a solution yet.

Please test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
    Step 1
Take the applicable steps in this support article. The Wireless Diagnostics program generates a large file of information about your system, which would be used by Apple Engineering in case of a support incident. Don't post the contents here.
    Step 2
Disconnect all USB 3 devices. If you don't know which are USB 3, disconnect all USB devices except keyboard and mouse.
    Step 3
If you're not using a wireless keyboard or trackpad, disable Bluetooth by selecting Turn Bluetooth Off from the menu with the Bluetooth icon. If you don't have that menu, open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and check the box marked Show Bluetooth in menu bar. Test. If you find that Wi-Fi works better with Bluetooth disabled, you should use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. Your router may not support it; in that case, you need a new router.
    Step 4
Open the Network pane in System Preferences and make a note of your settings in the Wi-Fi service. It may be helpful to take screenshots of the various tabs in the preference pane. If the preference pane is locked, unlock it by clicking the padlock icon and entering your administrator password. Delete Wi-Fi from the service list on the left by selecting it and clicking the minus-sign button at the bottom. Then recreate the service by clicking the plus-sign button and following the prompts.
    Step 5
    Reset the System Management Controller.
    Step 6
    Reset the PRAM.
    Step 7
Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
    Step 8
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service center.

  • Bluetooth connectivity issues after updating to OS X 10.10.3

I have been experiencing issues with bluetooth mouse connectivity (apple magic mouse) after updating OS X to 10.10.3. My Macbook Retina 15" pro (early 2013) keeps losing connection with the mouse. Switching the mouse on/off helps in re- establishing connection between the mouse and the laptop for a few seconds. I was under the impression that this update of Yosemite was intended to rectify bluetooth and wifi connectivity issues. Any suggestions/advice welcome.

    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
              Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combinationcommand-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • Lumia 620: bluetooth problems since Black update

My Lumia 620 did pair correctly with my car via bluetooth. This is a Citroen C5 with NaviDrive 3D system.
However, since the Black update I have the following problems:
    1) I can successfully pair the 620 once, but it does not reconnect after that.
    2) When I try to switch-off bluetooth after a unsuccessful pairing trial, it does not switch-off completely: the small dots in the screen upper area keep on running and the bluetooth switch stays greyed-out.
    3) When I switch-off the phone completely in this situation it often reboots instantly.
Is someone else recognising these issues?

Thanks for the update, @NL620NL. We can't comment yet if this issue will be addressed by the Lumia Cyan WP 8.1 update, though SW updates are released to fix reported bugs and improve the features of the phone's OS. If resetting the phone didn't work, try restoring its software using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. See this link: Nokia Software Recovery Tool. The link for the recovery app will lead you to the Nokia UK website. Best to search it in the local Nokia support page: Way Finder - Nokia.
Note that this will wipe out all your phone's data, so making a backup is highly advised. Check this link for the steps on backing up your files: Nokia Lumia 620 - Back up and restore data on your phone.
Let us know how it will go.

  • Not responsive wireless mouse and keyboard, No internet/wifi and Bluetooth connection.

    Hi,
I need help as both my wireless mouse and wireless keyboard are totally no responsive and I replaced them with fresh new batteries. My wifi/internet connection is offline too. My Bluetooth signal is the Bluetooth with jagged lines "Bluetooth offline". I tried to disconnect all my USB devices and restarted. I tried the methods listed here but to no avail.
Yesterday afternoon there was a lightning in the skies and it caused blackout throughout my whole house. So it might be due to the power surge from the Lightning but all my other devices like my iPhone and modem router are working fine. I restarted the router too. It was fine the whole evening till nighttime yesterday. This morning I woke up, I can't do anything at all.

First thing to try is resetting the PRAM per the instructions below. If that does not work then please use the instructions on how to connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard below.
