  • Be Very Careful When Choosing to use Nokia Care sy...

Up until the weekend of November 23rd, I had nothing but praise for Nokia after choosing their Nokia Lumia 720 Windows 8 Phone. I was wary of going with WP8 as it was less supported by third party software for apps compared with iOS and Android, but its functionality impressed me for its entry range standing as a model.
That weekend, after a series of Application and a phone update, the screen started experiencing issues with random movements of the screen making it unusable. Both soft resetting and resetting to factory defaults failed to resolve the issue, so on Monday November 25th, I contacted Nokia Care LIVE Chat via the support website to see if there was anything they could suggest to resolve the problem.
They advised me to take it to my locla registered Nokia Care Point, which was right near the train station I use to go to and from work, which I did the next day. Left the phone with them and was told to come back in an hour. I returned and they had managed to fix that issue, they had reloaded the phone's firmware and software to an "in the box" level, and for good measure replaced the screen and the speaker inside. I could not have been more happy with the service, it was quick and more then I could have hoped for.
Then sadly, during setting up the phone to use as it had been wiped, I noticed that the command buttons at the bottom of the phone were no longer lighting up as they had done before. I then noticed that the camera was not working, front or back, it was not being recognised by the phone and all I had was a back screen. I called the Nokia Care point and told them, they said no problem just bring it back and they will sort it. I did the next day, same thing, left the phone with them for an hour but this time, returned to the shop to be told "there is lots wrong with the phone, we need to send it back to Nokia and it could take one to two weeks to come back.
So my phone went in with one issue, not fixed 100%, returned to me broken and told "its all good" then within 24 hours my phone is made even more broken, so broken the registered and certified Nokia Care Point are unabe to correct the faults they made, and need to send it off for a full repair or replacement under the warranty.
Sounds simple doesnt it?  I took in a faulty phone, whcih was then made even more faulty by the Nokia Care Point, so when I contacted Nokia Care by LIVE Chat to say that I was unhappy with losing my phone, which was under warranty, for up to two weeks because of a botched repair attempt by their own certified Care Point and asked if I could have a replacement.
Then it got really messy. Was told that even though its under warranty, no replacement could be issued until the main repair centre had assessed the phone, check to see if they coud repair it, now for a 3rd time in seven days, before a decision would be made about if a replacement was justified. Even though it was their own Care Point which broke the phone requiring them to look at it in the first place. I was told to give it 48hrs for them to recieve the phone, which I did and contacted them on the Friday only to be told that my phone had not reached them yet.
Monday comes and I get a phone call from the Nokia Care Complaints team, which my case and complaint had been forwarded onto, telling me that my phone has yet to be assessed by the engineers. So no work had been done on the phone at all, so no decision could be made about a replacement. Tuesday ( today ) I get another call and this time the phone has been looked at but apparantly they are now waiting for a part for the phone, with no eta of delivery time, I repeat my request to have a replacement phone, saying that it should not be me as the customer that has to keep being patient for Nokia Care to rectify an issue with my phone that they created in the first place and that the very least they can do is offer me a replacement so I can carry on as normal whilst they sort out how the repair went so wrong in the first place, aso that the compensation offer of a £10 Nokia Music voucher for a service that is already free to Lumia users and then the offer of a bluetooth headset which the 720 doesnt have was equally pointless and that they should do better. Was told they would put the request in but again cant make a promise it will happen.
An hour a go I took a phonecall from the Nokia Complaints team asking me, which is redundant as I have no choice in the matter, to give them 24-48 hrs for them to complete they investigation or review of my case, so thar brings it to the end of this week meaning any replacement or return of a refitted repaired phone wont happen till at least next week, taking it to two weeks of not having a working phone since taking it to them on the 26th November.
So far, I have never been made to feel more worthless and valueless as a customer by any company whose products or services I have used. From the point at which my phone was made even worse by a failed repair by a certified and registered Nokia Care point to the utter nonsense of endless Nokia Care Customer service which hides behind policies designed to protect Nokia rather then the customer when it comes to repairs and faults.
I am left with no faith in any part of the Nokia Care system from the Care Points, to the service you receive via LIVE Chat on the Nokia Support site to using their Twitter support via @Nokiahelps to even speaking with their non UK Call centres. I have no faith that I will get a replacement phone even though the phone will have had so many new parts it might as well have just replaced instead of multiple repair and software reloads in the two weeks the phone will be out of my posession (factoring in the next week as I dont expect to see it returned or replaced)
I say to anyone looking to use Nokia Care, which your phone still in warranty, especially in the UK, is to go through the network provider your contract is with rather then direct with Nokia Care. I have encountered nothing but poor service and atrocious customer care in every regards for a problem that was originally a fault due to software updates but led to the Care Point taking the phone apart and creating new faults, something which Nokia Care still wont accept is a viable reason to replace the phone.
If you do have your phone repaired in a Nokia Care Point, make sure you test every aspect of the phone before you leave, but I suggest sending back via your contract provider. I hope what I have been through and continue to go through with this experience of Nokia's idea of Care, is enough warning to others and that no one else suffers similar issues.

Same here I have Lumia 920, 3 days after I bought it the device had an overheating problem and once the phone is off, I have to work hard to turn it on again, from soft resetting and hard resetting it After that I brought the phone to Nokia Care Center (I'm Indonesian by the way) in the NCC Branch in my province. 2 days after that, they told me that the problem was solved and asked me to take the phone. When I got there and the Costumer Service want to give me the phone, she try to turn on the phone, but she can't. She take the phone to a room (I don't know maybe it's the repairman room or whatever) and when she got out she told me that the problem is still exist and they will brought my phone to the NCC Center in other province. I have to wait for 2 weeks. Can you believe it? 2 weeks WITHOUT ANY PHONE? I have to buy another low-end phone that time.
After that the phone back to normal, But Then another problem come, after update my phone to Amber, my phone can't use Nokia Pro Cam (at that time, before Nokia Camera out), Bing Vision, Maps, Glance Screen, Auto Rotate, and GAMES. at first I just have to restart the phone to turn it back, but then the problem is not solved after I restart, even then, I did a hard reset but the problem is still there. Last friday, I brought my phone to the Nokia Care Center, they asked to take it the next day, but AGAIN! The problem is not solved, and they said I have to wait until the newest software update to come so the problem can be solved. Today, still no news or information from them, I don't know if I can trust Nokia Care Center again after this

  • Nokia Care- N95 Support

I am having lots of problems with my N95. The handset keeps on shutting down or freezing without applications running. The handset is very unreliable and I feel I must reinstall my primary SIM into my trusty N80. For example if I try to accesss my voice mailbox by pressing and holding button 1 , the phone shuts down! I am constantly restarting the phone, sometimes having removed the battery for a few seconds. If i recieve a SMS, this often causes a problem.
I bought my N95 SIM free and am running software version 12 with a 2Gb memory card. I have had several S60 phones, so I am well aware of their limitations, but this is the worst one.
I have tried to contact Nokia Care on 0845 0455555. They keep you hanging on for ages, trying to speak to an Engineer ,only to be re-directed, before being cut off. They even promised to call me back, but they only said that to get rid of me!
So I tried to contact Nokia Care by e-mail. I got a standard computer generated reply, and it was obvious nobody ever bothered to read my e-mail!
All I want is to speak to someone about my problems to double check I am not doing anything wrong before I return the handset. Does anyone know who and how it is possible to speak with a qualified Nokia technician?

First you could download some new software onto the phone, the new software is very reliable.

  • How I got fooled by Nokia Care, Bangalore. [Lumia ...

    Hi,
I purchased a Nokia Lumia 720 on May 2nd week 2013 from an authorized Nokia vendor in Bangalore. Now, here are the issues I've faced, and here's how Nokia has been 'kind' to serve me.
    > The phone has had reception issues from Day 1. The person on the other end of the line, cannot hear my voice clearly, which ends up in me shouting/talking louder than usual to make sure the person gets me. Initially, I thought this might be a network issue, or maybe because the phone is too new. I decided to give this a few days.
    > Day 7, and things got worse. Poor reception, phone lagging, volume increasing decreasing automatically, notifications failing. On contacting Nokia care, they asked me to format  my 'seven day' old phone. That was done. No change.
    > Day 10. I finally gave up and thought of switching networks in hope of getting better reception. Mind you, I was getting excellent reception at my house with this same SIM on my previous handset.
    > Day 14. New SIM activated. Issues remain. Contacted Nokia, they asked me to move to 'Micro Sim' and not cut the normal 'Sim' as that might be the reason for the issue. Plus, the other issues increased making the phone unusable at times because of the lag.
    > Day 17. Microsim activated, Issues gone worse. Planned to visit Nokia Care, Bangalore. Got told that I need to format my phone again and everything will be fine.
    > Day 18. Formatted. Issues remain. Visited another Nokia Care in hope for better service. But well, got treated arrogantly. According to the customer 'care' rep at the Nokia Care, water has made it's way into the motherboard of the phone and that has been causing issues. When told that these issues were there since day 1, the customer care guy cuts you off arrogantly, and instead blames you of phone tampering. Like, really. The phone wasn't even taken to any service station apart from Nokia, and even when it was taken to Nokia, they did not open the phone. Apart from that, I have taken utmost care of the phone; no rough usage at all.
Now, it's pretty clear that the phone has had issues since day 1, and I've followed every instruction given by Nokia to hopefully fix my phone. Nokia on the other hand is hell bent on blaming the customer for the issues in the phone; also washing their hands off from fixing it within the warranty period since the supposed motherboard does not come under warranty, and has billed me Rs. 1200/- and asked for SEVEN day period to fix the phone, today being the second day of waiting period.
I do not understand why I have to pay Rs. 1200 to fix a brand new phone which has had issues since day 1, plus, why is Nokia so stubborn in proving that the customer is always wrong, a fool; and whatever the reps at Nokia Care say, are as accurate as it can be. Oh, not to forget the arrogant behaviour of the reps which make you embarrased infront of the others queued up to service their phone.
A truly apalling experience for a Nokia lover like me, do not think I'd ever buy a Nokia phone ever; even if given for free. I'd rather save myself the harrasment the reps intend to cause you.

P.S. I can give you the various acknowledgement, jobsheets, and IMEI number of my phone in case you need to retrieve any detail.

  • By-passing Nokia Care Center

Hi, I'm an N85 user from Thailand--or rather was as my phone was broken within a week after the date of purchase.
My phone has been sent in for repair for over 2 weeks. And even though the customer representatives I've spoken to all say the phone is a defect and the whole main board "needs to be replaced" (not repaired i.e. only the plastic covers are ok), Nokia is unwilling to give me a new phone. On the other hand, all of the 4 customer representatives I've talked to confirm that they don't know whether spare N85 main boards are available in Thailand or Asia; where they will get the new main board from; or how long it will take.
I find it very strange that I should be kept in the dark as Nokia Care knows and admits that my phone is a defect. (my experiences with HP and Canon are utterly different)
I know that Nokia Care in Thailand is outsourced to MLink, a local electronics merchant; and I have a feeling that the way I have been treated is specific to Nokia Care Thailand and NOT Nokia in general. As such I would appreciate it if you could share with me a way to by-pass Nokia Care. Every time I click on "Contact Us" or go to the country page it pretty much takes me to people staffed by MLink. This makes it impossible for me to raise my issue to non-outsourced Nokia people.
    Help appreciated!

    @mccbleue,
I did make that point ("reasonable time" ) to Nokia Care. In fact, it was probably this very point* combined with my formal notice to them of my intent to file a complaint to the Consumer Protection Agency and the police that magically made it possible for them to locate a new main board within 24 hours. They also just called me and said their would drop off my repaired phone (new main board) at my office next Tuesday. Let's see if it works properly (from many discussions on this forum it appears that more often than not 'repaired' phones are not really repaired).
*mccbleue is absolutely right. If your phone is not fixed within reasonable time, you have a good case that Nokia is engaging in a deliberate act to wean itself off its warranty obligations.

  • Dust under screen of E71. Do Nokia care points eve...

Ok people bit of a moan really, which I need to get off my chest. I have taken 2 handsets to a Nokia care point and both times I have just walked out p****d off. This time I had an E71. It has a load of dust under the screen in the top left corner and also dust on the camera lens. When you activate the camera there is a black smudge in the top left of the picture. To be honest I noticed the dust after the first month but managed to ignore it. It has now got very bad and realising dust was on the camera lens was the last straw. The phone is under a year old by 3 months. It is in very good condition as I look after my phones, screen protectors etc and has the latest firmware on, version 400.
Now I emailed Nokia asking the best cause of action. I got this response:
"Thank you for contacting Nokia Care.
Sorry to hear that your E71 has a dust inside the screen. As much as we want to help you have a new replacement unit, we are not authorised to do so. We strongly suggest you to send your device on our respected Nokia Care Points. Please be advised that all assessments and repair services on our products are carried out at the Nokia Care Points. A qualified technician will assess your handset and repair it.  The phone will be covered under warranty provided you have your original proof of purchase and all standard warranty conditions are met."
Note the last bit as it will be important. I took the phone today and the bloke told me there would be a £45-50 charge to have the phone cleaned, which to be honest I really don't want as I'm guessing the same will happen again a month later. I've read people having exactly the same issue on this forum. Plus there is no way I'm paying that amount of money. Didn't even ask for proof of purchase by the way.
I then took it to my mobile provider shop where it has now been sent away for free. I thought I may as well. They told me they may replace the handset, which to be honest I hope they do.
Has anyone had this level of 'help' through Nokia care points? I just think it's disgusting. What's the point of these '2 year' warranties that Nokia offer with their phones when all the Nokia care points want is money from you!!
Any way rant over. I just hope my phone doesn't come back in worse condition than what I sent it off in, since there was not a scratch on it, just a lot of dust :-/
    Ben

send it to a nokia care centre dont attempt yourself it will void warranty if this shop is an official nokia store they will send it an official nokia centre
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Re. Complain on Nokia Care Services in Chennai, In...

    Dear All,
I am one of the Nokia mobile users for the past 5 years. All my family members are using only Nokia mobiles and I also recommended my friends & colleagues to go for Nokia.
I had trust on it before but not now… I am sorry to say that…. Because you people made me to do so.
I am really Sorry to say that I lost all my confidence and faith with NOKIA..
I never had such a worst experience from the NOKIA CARE..
    Let me explain the problem..
" I purchases a New Mobile NOKIA - HANDSET - 2630 - BLACK from one of your vendor "UniverCell Telecommunication India Pvt Ltd. Velachery Branch" on March 07, 2008. I came to see that it gets hanged or struck in between very often while using and the mobile becomes stops functioning, then I have to remove the battery and then reset the mobile and then only I have can use it. I thought it might be loose contact or the battery might not properly pack. I very often found that my mobile hanged. On March 09, 2008 I took to the vendor where I bought, they redirected me to NOKIA CARE at Taramani, Chennai they redirected me to NOKIA CARE at TTK Road Alwarpet, Chennai they and again they redirected to NOKIA CARE at Royapetta, (Near Sathyam Theratre) Chennai. See the way of how each service centre palys with the customer. And finially I went to NOKIA CARE on March 27, 2008. (Service Center Details - ROCKY AGENCIES, New No:32, Old No: 10, Thiru Vi Ka Road, Royapetta, Chennai. ASC : 124_343506, Contact Number: 044-42045204, Email Address: [email protected] and MY Job Sheet Number: 124343506/080329/6 Dt: 29/Mar/2008). At first they checked it and told it was a Software Problem, and they reloaded it and gave. After that when I bought the mobile to my home and tried to charge it, I got an error message "Charger Not Supported" and then on March 29, 2008, I took it back to NOKIA CARE, they once again diagnosed that the issue is with the Board, we have to produce it to Head Office and then get rectified. So they took the Mobile and then asked me to come after 2 days, after 2 days when I went to collect my mobile, they told me that Since it a Board problem it will take another a week, and I asked them please inform the correct date so that I can come at right time. (Because I work for an MNC Company _ Hewlett Packard (HP) as a Operation Research Manager, My Home is at Velachery, Chennai and my work place is at Sriucheri, Chennai which is 50 Kms away from city. I used to go my office early around 8 AM and return Home late nights in the evening, so I had hard time to track the status of my mobile) After a week (Today - March 11, 2008) when I especially took leave and approached them they Said it will take another 10 days and it is a issue with Board, so mobile have to replaced. Then I got annoyed and lost my control and I asked the Customer technician over there... to get me the exact date so I will get back to you so that I don't have to come all the way and hearing some excuses, this make me more tensed. Then I requested the service person that please check with your head office and get me the exact information. After wards they told me that NOKIA had stopped manufacturing this model and we don't have it local stores and also in Nokia priority Dealers, So you have to wait for another 10 days. For further information they just asked me to contact Head Office. See I gave the mobile to the NOKIA CARE Center they gave the mobile for servicing it to Head office, And I don't know who to contact & what to ask them...(Because I got a information from one of my colleague these guys give the customer mobile to some local person for serving and they are paid cheaper and also I heard that these technicians uses the customer mobile for there own use saying that they are testing... I don't know how true so far). Then I thought to contact the SERVICE CENTRE MANAGER, they said he will come late so it not possible for you to meet, then I told that I will wait, then they asked me to wait for 15 minutes and they asked me came with a solution that I will get my mobile will be ready by today evening. And asked to come and collect it.. But when I went to the Service Centre evening, they made me to wait for an hour, then came with a Solution that, we got a New replacement mobile for other customer since you are coming often for your mobile, so If you wish you can avail this, then I enquired about the warranty on it, they said it have the warranty what that mobile has, and you will not be covered under any warranty with this, if you come across any problem in future. Then I got tensed and annoyed and then I request for my mobile, again they tried to postpone the days (you have wait for another 10 days), then I requested to give my mobile back or to know the status of it. They just simply asked to contact the Head Office, and they are not giving the head Office address they ask us to contact through phone (3030838) I tired al lot it goes to IVR and get disconnected. And no proper response from the Nokia Care. See the controversy in statement (March 11, 2008).
See I bought a mobile because of the Durability and brand name but... I lost all the Hopes and confidence that they will give my mobile today... Already one month of my warranty gone in service centre and I don't you please give Warranty and Guarantees of your products... I hardly used the mobile for less than 10 days only... but I had terrible and bad experience in customer servicing with the Nokia....Care... Not only me I found most of the people who come for serving face a terrible experience...Like no proper response when we give a call.... or they disconnect the call while speaking... They spoil the name of Nokia...
Note: Important: If I don't receive proper response from this Mail I am going to take severs action against the company through legally and also I am going to publish an article on all the local magazines. And I going to forward this mail to all the over web and also through my company intra net to all of my colleagues those who are working in HP (Hewlett Packard) to higher officials in and around world..
And finally I kindly request you people all those who represent NOKIA to give right Information to customer and commit yourself what you say... Or don’t spoil the Brand name"....
See the loyalty to the customer it not me suffered there are many customer like me….
    I need a Solution for this….
If any one of the concern person directly from Nokia contacts me will be highly appreciated…..
    Hoping for a reply soon…
    With regards,

    dear sir,
u are very right that nokia is such a huge name but its customer care is very bad....if i use WORST, it is better suitable for nokia team.
I also bought N73ME on november 2007. i was used alone without any bluetooth or data cable, because frightened from virus. i only transferred some songs in Feb 2008 and i was listening that since then. but in September 2008, my mobile automatically showed MUTE and its loudspeaker has stopped working. i went to Nokia Care, there i spent Rs. 1800.00. They told me that the "B" cover is currupted (they have no reason) so it is not cover under guarantee. I gave him the rupees and got my phone. but in just after one week, got another problem, the phone automatically restart. no matter i was talking or listening the music. I again went to that Nokia Care, there he says that it is a cosmatic problem, so need to change the crystals and number covers. But initially he demanded Rs. 110.00 for "check-up" my mobile. i told him that after repairing the "B" cover, i am facing that problem. So he did not took that Rs. 110.00. he told me to get mobile on the very next day and the cost he told was Rs. 2500.00. I was just fedup that even since it is not completed one year, i am going to spend Rs. 5000.00 onto my mobile . What is this. But i called the Nokia Care on next day, then the mechanic told me that the phone would get me after 7-10 days because it went for repairing. I was not expecting that without my knowledge they would sent my phone. Because in this fast life, we cannot live without mobile in such more days. But i had no choice. I called Nokia Care Phone team on 0124-30303838, and that was my very big mistake. he only gave me another nokia care address and told that he only help like this, nothing more.
I am just fed up all this nuansense and going to convince all the friends, relative and others -- not to buy nokia products ever in life.

  • Worst nokia care and awesome nokia technicians

baught my lumia jus 1 month back...the screen was loosely fixed....and whenever i pressed a bit hard and swipe horizontally the screen would move.....
send it to nokia care (Country:india,
    `state:kerala,
    place:Thrissur)
on primary investigation from nokia care team, they told me that it was a feature of all lumia 800s.(damn good)
so i requested them to please show it to some one who has some technical knowledge.so they send it to nokia factory(DELHI(india))
After 15days, that is today, i received my lumia back in exactly the same condition i gave it.
The screen was still loosely fixed.
cheers to nokia technicians in the nokia factory.
Nokia care team told me they will again send it for 15days.i said enough.
Selling my nokia lumia 800 tomorrow....i dont know if anybody would wanna buy it.......

I had problems with my lumia 800, the first time I sent it in, it came back scratched etc, the display was just destroyed for a new phone, so I sent it bavk in again, and got a new device all together, it was some nokia certified warranty center that handled my case the first time.
I have to say though that these days such service is not common anymore, so I think nokias customer care is actually good.
And being a former iPhone user, and a long term nokoa user before that, I prefer the lumia over my iPhone hands down, the build quality and os, pretty much everything is just better.

  • Nokia Care Tech Help Wants me to do this..??..

I still can't get any incoming email through the email client without hitting "send/receive" manually.  This problem happened after upgrading to the new firmware.
I called today and Nokia Care told me to install the firmware upgrade again using the computer this time (I did it over the air.)
But when I try it says I already have the latest firmware.  How do I over ride that - and reinstall the firmware again using the Nokia Software Updater on the computer?
In addition - would "flashing" be a better idea here?
Also, he told me if this doesn't work (reinstalling the firmware upgrade using the computer) I would have to send it to them - they would reinstall the firmware themselves - and if it STILL didn't work - it would be deemed a "bug" - they would send me my N900 back and I would have to wait until the next firmware upgrade.  The last firmware upgrade took 6 months.  So, what is my "warranty" for?  I did buy one... how come they can send me back a "broken" phone with no incoming email???
    Looking for answers...
    Thanks,
    Sandy

hmm, well if you wait for the nokia software updater to be back up at the end of this week, that would be the simplest option as there is the option to reinstall the firmware (its on the page where it says youre on the latest).
if youre really in a hurry. go to http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php
enter your imei number and it will provide you with a list of the firmware versions available for your device. look for the pr1.2 version that is correct for the region of your device. ie. im in australia, but my device is from the usa. therefore i used the usa version.
the flasher is available up the top of the page.
note, in windows 7, you'll need virtual pc and windows xp mode installed.
then just download everything. copy everything to the same folder (ie. c:\maemo, copy the flasher and the image files here)
then load up command prompt. keep tying
    cd..
until it goes all the way down to c: drive. then type in
    cd maemo
replace maemo with whatever you called the folder where you put everything. then type in
    flasher-3.5.exe -F os.bin -f
replace the os.bin with the name of the os file you downloaded (the one that says pr1.2 on that image files page), alternatively, rename the image file to os.bin for simplicity.
turn off n900, hold the 'U' button, plug it into your computer, and it should boot up to the nokia logo with a usb icon in the corner and stay on that screen. then your computer should detect (in virtual pc mode, you have to choose the option at the top of the window to attach the device).
the flasher will update the image.
then after its done, unplug the phone and reboot it and it will boot up as per normal.
people generally seem to recommend flashing the emmc, but it isnt entirely necessary, and doing so will cause you to lose all data on the 32gig partition.

  • Fadeup with NOKIA Care Bangladesh customer service

I have a nokia 5800 which had display problem so I gave it to
    NOKIA Care Center
    Molly CapitaCentre
    76 Gulshan Avenue, 2nd floor
    Dhaka, Bangladesh
for repair at 14th December 2009. The job Sheet No. is 86585. It covers the warranty period. Its over one month and they still fail to give the phone back. Every time they ask for 1 week more to repair.
It is really unexpected from such a reputed company world wide to do customer harassment.

Actually, Nokia Care Centers aren't operated by Nokia, rather they are local companies who buy the franchise rights to be the official affiliates of Nokia and operators of Nokia Care Centers for your country. You could try contacting your local Nokia hotline for advise on your problem.

  • Support sucks at Nokia Care Egypt ..................

Thanks to assist me to get a resolution for my problem with Nokia Care Egypt,& Raya Shop Egypt .The problem started since I've purchased 2 Phone Sets models[Lumia 620 : 2,000 L.E. & Lumia 920 : 4,999 L.E.] on date: 8th of April 2013,and  got a one year warranty from Raya included in the purchase. reciept number : 64980 from city stars branch .
-since I've turned on my Lumia 920 ;I've noticed that it restarts automatically with no reason ,and without notification
    - the temperature of the device is getting very high during:
    - normal 2G phone calls
    -Internet surfing
    -charging
-the mobile need to be charged every 4 hours even if not used;and just turned on .
-and finally;after only 20 days of usage the mobile has restarted and it halted on a Nokia logo and no response .
i have already handed the mobile to Nokia care Egypt on 30/4/2013 with receipt number : 1198584 . i wonder how Nokia factories provide a phone set witch has not been tested and get faulty just after 20 days .
I've already contacted Nokia care Egypt on phone number:19 576 ;and they informed me that they're waiting for my
approval for the phone format and data loss[while they've got this verbal approval on 6/5/2013 ];and they confirmed that the fault was software and they would hand me the phone on 22/5/2013 .
Then later on today ;I've been to the Nokia Care at Nasr City;and they informed me totally different story:
               -the problem is hardware
-they need to replace the whole board for the phone
-I've asked to hand me a written technical report with this ;and they refused ;and said that I cant have it till they hand me the mobile and make me sign off the delivery .
-I'd to write down another complaint [while the old one was not replied yet ] ,and got a photo copy for it .
I wont accept to have a hardware repaired phone with just only 20 days usage so either to have a new phone set or have my money back .
If I didn't receive an email reply to this message within 24 hours ;I'd start my legal suit against Nokia;and already have opened a complaint at the CPA ;and they just need to have the legal documents to start procedure.

    UPDATE
Just got my phone back from Nokia Care Egypt and they switched the motherboard (essentially meaning a new phone with a new IMEI minus the touch and the cover). As i said in my previous post they kept me waiting for 37 DAYS and after receiving the new phone it had Belle fp , OMG they didnt even bother to check on the SW and update it .. I mean dont they have a code of conduct or something. Anyway told them and then updated it now to the latest version.
Of course the next "Fight" will be on how to transfere the extended warranty i had with the old phone to the new one.
My verdict Nokia Care is incompetent and i dont recommend anyone to deal with them.

  • Nokia Care Center will not accept my N97

I purchased my N97 at the Nokia flagship store in Hong Kong while there on vacation. I am now living in the Netherlands. I emailed the Nokia customer care center to tell them about my faulty GPS. They told me to send the phone to one of their care centers because "N97 integrated GPS receiver is having some issues pickling up GPS signals. Before doing this method, we suggest that you provide us first with the IMEI or the serial number of your device." I emailed them my serial number, but they sent me an email reply saying that I need to send the phone to a Nokia Care Center in Hong Kong.
Besides complaining and arguing with them by email, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get a Nokia Care Center here in Europe to take a look at my phone? Am I being too unreasonable to expect that my N97 can be repaired regardless of where I am in the world?

Hi, I have some sympathy for you, and morally I think they should (and if you walked into a Nokia care centre you may get a little joy face to face) However legally the response , I believe, is correct. I work in the motor trade, and many car warranties are region specific, you may get a 3 year warranty with a car, of which the first year may be pan-european but the second and third may be UK only (I live in england), the same car sold in europe may get only a one or two year warranty, and if that car were imported from outside the EU (say Australia or USA)then it would have no warranty whatsoever in the UK or mainland Europe, simply because many products are 'region specific' and so the warranty covers the area they were built for.
Hope you get some joy, and at least you can post a phone, a car, refridgerator or washing machine would be more problamatic. I would contact Nokia direct and see if they would provide you with some 'Good Will ' unfortunately this is not the place to seek help on this matter
    Good Luck

  • X6-keyguard felloff and missing and NOKIA CARE Did...

I bought a new X6-8gb mobile on 13 oct 2010. And today the keyguard switch s missing all of a sudden. Not a single scratch in the mobile or the near the keyguard switch area. I went to nokia care in CMH road,Bangalore. Well they were not much interested in looking at the mobile condition and blankly said "it is not covered in warranty". They said it would cost Rs1250/ and three days to replace a single button. I had ENOUGH FOR BELIEVING NOKIA BRAND NAME.
Now, WHY SHUD I SPEND Rs1250/  for someone who didn't assemble the device properly and someone who approved overviewing the task.
WHY IS IT NOT COVERED IN THE WARRANTY WHEN IT IS THEIR FAULT.
    DOES ANYONE REALLY HEAR?????

ive seen this care center metioned a few time

use the above link and contact nokia directly
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Nokia OVI Suite and Nokia Care Support

Today I called Nokia Support, because I could not download maps with map loader.
The guy asked if the ovi suite is installed. I told him, that the Ovi suite keeps on crashing on start-up on my machine, and that all other software is running fine, e.g. the PC suite which I am using instead.
For a price of 14 Cent/Minutes this "Nokia-Care"-guy had the nuts telling me that probably my computer needs to be fixed. After telling him that my computer works fine with all other software, he finally told me that I need to call Microsoft, as it would be their fault that Ovi Suite is not running on my machine.
This is a poor joke called "Nokia-Care". Dear Nokia-people, that is no-support and no-care-at-all. Providing something that crashes for free, and charging money for providing rudeness on the phone.

    Hey,
Hw did u instlld ur latest version, w/o installing previous version, if yes, unistall and reinstall NOS, it will work
