Nokia N73 RM-133 Call Problem

Hello everybody !
I have a problem with my N73 device. Since the last firmware update, everything was ok, but after making the update to version 4.0839.42.0.1 (this is the latest version), sometimes when I don't answer a call and appears on screen "1 missed call", I cannot make any calls from the phone book, only by typing the phone number manual. To make calls again from the phone book, I have to restart the phone. Some people told me that this problem is because of the programs I have installed on the phone, but I reinstalled Symbian and I didn't installed the programs anymore and the same thing happens.
Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Hello Vlad... This problem is not specific to the firmware you have. It's been there from 4.0736.xx.x.x through 4.0812.xx.x.x. It's a bug that's been there for quite some time...

Nokia n73 and Apple iSync problems

hello all,
I have a nokia N73 and an Apple macbook computer. I've been able to sync my n73 with my Apple (calendar and address book). It works for about 1 week and then stops working. I've tried deleting the n73 from iSync and installing it again (using both USB and Bluetooth). Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not, which is really annoying.
I have Mac OS X version 10.4.10. and iSync version 2.4 (501.2). i did not install any plugins because this version of iSync and Mac OS X are supposed to be compatible, but I have not been able to make them work.
Any help?

I have an iMac G5 with OS X 10.4.11, iSync 2.4, and an N73 Music Edition (not sure whether this makes a difference).
I modified a config file several months ago (I forget the details, but I copy and pasted the entry for a phone with the same operating system, called it N73 et voila.)
If I plug the N73 into the iMac via the USB cable and try and sync (after selecting PC Suite on the phone), connection fails. Every time.
However, if I power off the phone, and power it back on, then connect the USB cable and select PC Suite, synchronisation works perfectly!
I cannot explain why, but rebooting the phone enables iSybc to work every time. Answers on a postcard to...

PS. Selecting Mass Storage (instead of PC Suite) creates a new drive in Finder, which enables you to quickly and easily copy music/picture/video files to/from the iMac.

Nokia lumia 800 end call problems

I had a problem ending calls which looks like a common problem. I had a screen protector which was not a genuine Nokia item. I removed this screen protector and problem solved it now works hooray.

Glad to hear you solved your issue, the screen protector will interfere with the proximity sensor so it is not recommend to use one.

Nokia n73 gsm radio/transceiver problem

I am experiencing a problem with the phone where the signal drops out at random times for various periods of time. I have contacted my carrier (t-mobile usa) and after some troubleshooting steps they recommended I try a different SIM card to verify it isn't a faulty SIM. I have done that and the phone behaved in the same manner with the other SIM card.
I tested my phone along Nokia e61 while driving and N73 would drop the signal while the e61 would show full strength bars.
I have tried a master reset *#7370#, but the problem did not go away.
I then re-flashed my phone with the latest firmware 4.0735.3.0.2.
The phone is still dropping the signal.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Is there a way to reset the radio?

Your only chance is to get it checked by a Nokia Service point.

Nokia N73 MMC memory card problem

Hey,
the problem started when i updated my firmware from the earlier v4 to this one,the phone sees the memory card as if it was 468 MB,though its 1 GB.
i tried to format it,even reinstalling the firmware but nothing happened.please help...

I have Nokia N73 (RM-133), I have updated to firmware: 4.0736.3.2.1. and I have only to language, English and Chinese. I want to have Swedish and Danish language, do somebody know how I can do that?

Hi, you will have to visit a Nokia care point to get the language installed.
It's not possible to do that yourself.
You will likely have to pay a small fee, as this is an extra service.

Nokia N73 died while updating

I was updating Nokia N73 from 4.07 to 4.08.........and mistakenly forgot to plugin the adaptor.
The phone's battery emptied up in the middle of the process.......Now it is completely gone.......and the PC says "Unrecogzied USB device" when i connect it and NSU do recognize it as Nokia N73 RM-133 with 4.08 available.
Any ideas what should I do?
Any one plz reply and help me out ...........

there is basically one more thing you can do...
1) Remove the battery, and then wait for about 20 min or so before putting it back
2) Press and hold these three keys together -Green dial key, Star key[*], Three key [3]
3) switch ON the phone.
4) Do not let go the three keys until you see the WELCOME screen displayed and just let it complete the boot process
and then try to run NSU again, if that doesnt help then run to the nearest Nokia Care Point

Problem with (pen key) in nokia n73 me FW v4.0839....

when select edit any themes
wallpaper when select image user defined when need change from english write to arabic write or number write
the ( pen key ) not work in this only ( problem in software not in hardware )

any new FW FIXED the bug ?

Problems with Camera on Nokia n73 music edition

I have a nokia n73 music edition and this is the issue
When I slide down bac cover to open camera sometimes the I don't get image from back camera at all but only from front.
Another this is that today I opened the camera and with the shouter I couldn't take pictures.
I pressed it but nothing occured.
I tried to update the software but no luck because it says that phone has newer software.
I also when I go to the Camera through the main menu then it shows the video of front camera

Format your memory card and try again. Remember to backup all your stuff in the memory card before formatting.
If you still have problems, then try these options one by one:
1. Turn off your phone and leave your battery out for 5-10min. Then, put them back in and turn on the phone.
2. Restore factory settings: type *#7780# at the standby screen. Enter 12345 for the security code or the one you've changed it to.
Before you try the next two steps, backup your phone memory using PC Suite.
3. Soft reset: type *#7370#. Enter the security code when prompted
4. Hard reset (Last resort, nothing else works): Turn off your phone, press and hold down these keys: 3, * and the call (Green) button. Turn on your phone without releasing them. Leave the keys only after you see the Nokia logo on the screen.
If none of these work, then take it to the nearest Nokia Care Point.

Nokia 6500 call problem

Hello.
I have owned a Nokia 6500 slide on the 3 network for just over a year now, it's a decent phone and I've had very few problems with it until recently. The current problem is that when I make or receive a call, there is no audio/volume. Once the call begins to ring or I answer, and it's connected, there is no volume. However, if I change it to loudspeaker, it can be heard perfectly normally as if it were played through loudspeaker (obviously). So in short, the "handset" option of the call is muted. I have checked the obvious thing such as settings and makings sure the call volume was high enough, but there is just no sound at all when on the handset setting of a call. To make a personal call I have to make it in loudspeaker and everyone can hear.
I also had a problem wiht my contacts, and I downloaded the latest firmware and it fixed that problem. However, the loudspeaker call problem has remained. Usual searching hasn't sufficed, I appear to be the only one wiht this problem. Hopefully somebody can help me out here.

Take it to the nearest Nokia Care Point. Probably your speaker is damaged.

M frm INDIA.
I have installed this version..v4.0736.3.2.1 RM(133) (c)Nokia N73(Z5.01)in my n73 Music Addition.
I have facing Equaliser problem.
Increased the equliser in edit option but its not increased.
it's gone defualt..not only me but all the n73me users facing this problem....so pls solve this problem as early in ur new firmware....!!!!

everyone who has updated their FW to this also having the same problem, i think its a bug.
eventhough u have succesfully edit the equiliser, when u restart ur phone it will gone default again...

Nokia N73 theme installation problem

Im new user of N73, initially i had install a handphone theme call "Full Form" provided the N73's cd. But after i changed a new MiniSD card, i failed to install back the theme. Anyone can provide this solution?

N73 Calling Problem

I recently update my phone
N73 RM-133 to the latest version 3.0649.0.0.1
sense the update i have problems to call ppl from my phone book
and from the call dairy.
every time i can make one or two calls, then when i try to call once again to one of my numbers, i press "Send" and it just doesn't doing anything, it's not responding to my press.
but i can dial a number and call it,
but i cant call to my ppl from the phone-book and the call dairy
please help me it is relay annoying problem.

I have the same FW without problems. Do a bckup of personal stuff, and do a soft format *#7370#. See if it works!

NOKIA N73 Restart Problem

Hi,
I have nokia n73 music edition.
While attending the call, my cell restarts automatically.
So I have tried formatting the phone and memory card but still problem is there.
Could anyone please help me out?

Offline mode problem nokia N73

Hello, I have a problem with my Nokia N73, after having passed in Offline mode, it is impossible to change it. I carried out a hard reset by *#7370#, the phone posts general mode, but when i wants to connect to the network it posts phone in Offilne mode. I have try an firmware update using PC suite, but thephone must be in general mode before this operation can be carried out. what can i proceed. right now it is impossible to use my phone.

I am now on my 7th N73!
Yes, I am probably mad still giving this phone a go, but I Like the phone, so I keep giving it another go! (plus the fact that I cant find any other phone on the market right now that I really like)
My network operator has been great, and has always replaced it for me every time I have had problems, but I must say it is now getting a bit too much.
The last one I had, I got 2 weeks ago, and was a brand new one with the latest s/w update.
First time I put it into OFFLINE mode, it refused to change back to normal. (this was a new problem I did not have with the first 5 handsets so I have a feeling its a problem with the latest s/w)
a week ago I had it replaced once again with a brand new one.
Went away, and put it into OFFLINE mode again while on the plane, and guess what? it refused to change again.
Nothing helps; I have tried taking the battery out, taking the sim card in and out, nothing!!!!
Now they want to give me an N93, but it seems way to large to me, plus it probably has the same problem, using the same operation system.
