Nokia Suite 3.4.40 won't install

It's the same message as others on here have got (see attached).
I've tried all the other fixes mentioned on here, but none have worked.  I'm using Windows 7 pro 64-bit.
It's really annoying as I need to download maps for France onto my phone.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to these forums so please excuse me if I make any errors in posting this query.
I'm also having problems installing Nokia Suite 3.4.41 (and v3.8.89). But the error message I'm getting is different to the other one discussed in this thread. My error is to do with the Connectivity Cable Driver (see attachments).
I was having problems with my phone - the battery kept going flat, but I couldn't work out what was causing it, so I did a restore on my phone, the one that deletes all data (is that what you refer to as a 'hard reset'?). I ran a back-up before doing this.
Then I went to use Nokia Suite to sync my photos, music & contacts back to my phone, but it won't let me sync anything without updating the software (v3.3.89). The software downloads okay, but when it comes to running the install, I get the error message. Same happens when trying to download v3.4.41 from the internet.
The Nokia_Connectivity_Cable_Driver.msi file is apparently missing from my computer. I tried to uninstall the Nokia files via the Control Panel, thinking I could then just download the updated version from scratch, but it won't uninstall without this .msi file.
I hope this makes sense, and that someone can help me!
Marita

  • Creative Suite 1 second CD won't install

In windows xp, I am trying to install my cs version 1. first disk was successful, but when i insert the second disk, it keeps asking for it even though the appropriate disk is inserted. It is not recognizing the second disk. Started over and clicked on install and then went for the two programs on the second disk. It immediately asks for the second disk, I put it in, click OK and it still won't recognize the disk, even though the first programs were installed fine. Any thoughts or solutions? Thanks

oops, i think it put in the wrong cd. will try again and sorry for any inconvenience.

  • Nokia suite 3.6.36 install fail

Was prompted to update Nokia suite to new version 3.6.36. However, it comes up with message that something is wrong and previous version cannot be uninstalled. Manually uninstalled, Including connectivity driver.  Rebooted,  reinstall attempt gets same message. so manually removed all nokia references in registry (XP SP3). rebooted, same message on install attempt. Have used MS Fix it, same story. How do i get the Nokia suite installed. Now i have no suite at all, and the registry is celean of all nokia references. Phone is N8-00
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Finally have got Nokia Suite 3.6.36 to install. The issue was that there were rogue registry entries with no eference to Nokia at all. I ran MS Fit-It, and there was a (All Users) 3.4.49.0 listing. My previous version was 3.5.34, so somehow those entries were left behind during the update from 3.4.49 to 3.5.34, but as there absolutely no reference or connection to Nokia in any of the entries, I did not pick it up at first.
So Nokia Suite 3.6.36 is now installed and running on Windows XP Pro SP 3, however a new problems has come up, It does not recognise my N8-00 phone. The N8-00 phone now connects to PC via USB as a Digital Camera. Will close this thread as solved as it related to the Suite install, and start a new one re the phone being recognised.
Thanks for the help and advice given. Shame that Nokia themselves seem to be fast asleep, and no response from them. Not acceptable, and when off contract in December am considering ditching Nokia for another brand.

  • Nokia Suite has stopped working

Above is the now dreaded message I constantly receive everytime I try to sync my Calendars and Tasks between my Windows 7 based laptop and Nokia C7 mobile phone. This started around the time that I updated to the latest version of Nokia suite 3.5.34. This is one of the most important aspects of my syncs. I uses this for work and I've spent the last few days desperately trying to find a solution.
    What I've done so far:
Started with trying to repair Nokia Suite through Windows 7 uninstall programme (did this several times throughout process)
Also tried to repair sync through Nokia suite (also several times)
I then deleted Nokia Suite (using Windows 7 uninstall programme along with Device drivers etc)
    Then re-installed Nokia Suite
plugged in C7 and re-installed Device drivers etc.
Deleted all Calendar events on my Nokia C7
Re-installed Nokia C7 software through Nokia Suite (after saving everything important)
Deleted Nokia Suite again and installed Beta version
Deleted Beta version and all files under /Appdata/Nokia etc
Installed fresh version of Nokia Suite 3.5.34 from Nokia website
    Installed c7 device drivers
    Sync.....
message still there... Nokia Suite has stopped working, Windows is checking for a solution to the problem. The final messages reads something like 'A problem caused Nokia Suite to stop working....'
    WHAT PROBLEM!!!???
I've spent too many hours trying to sort out this.
I've sent several logged reports directly to Nokia through the Nokia Suite system.
If anyone has some ideas on what might be the solution to this frustration I would be very grateful.
Oh... and another thing. I've also deleted and re-installed several calendar events that I'd recently entered into my Outlook calendar, just in case there was something going on there.
Not to mention the numerous times I've used the Windows troubleshooter to try to figure this things out.
Sigh... I'm not daft, but this is ridiculously complicated for something that is meant to make life simple.
    Many thanks in advance.

  • Error installing Nokia Suite! Need help.

    Hello everybody,
I am trying to install Nokia Suite on my laptop, running on Windows 7 64 bit. I downloaded two different install files from http://www.nokia.nl/support/software/nokia-pc-suite/download . First I selected my phone (N97) and then downloaded that file. The install failed so I tried the fast download, which also failed to install.
During installation, I'm getting this error:
    Microsoft.VC80.MFC,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.4053",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="amd64".
I don't know what to do now, can anyone help me find a solution?
    Hope to find some answers!

  • Nokia Suite 3.6 clears pre installed map data from...

I had a problem with Nokia Suite clearing pre-installed maps from my new Pureview 808 and E5-00. The first time I let Nokia Suite 3.6 check for outdated maps, it reported that over 700MB worth of maps needed updating.
I didn't think much of the time taken but after maybe 5 minutes connection was lost and so were the preinstalled maps. Nokia Care didn't help as they said it was a PC or internet problem.
I also noticed in Nokia Suite 3.6 that the country Thaliand is missing from my installation of the suite for Pureview 808. However the country is there inside my phone's map loader. Thailand is present inside Nokia Suite when I connect my E5 to Nokia Suite 3.6.
Can anyone tell me what the pre installed maps in the phones are?

    @wkl12mr
It depends upon the product code of the device as to which maps are pre-installed upon Mass memory of 808 as this determines localisation.
Presumably your 808 is running Nokia Maps v3.09_12wk09_b05 and if you use "Maploader" from within Nokia Maps application is not Thailand listed as per screenshot?
