Non repetitive operation

Hi,
I have the following problem: I build a table from a text
file with one floating point value per line and 101 lines. I
use the library's "read from spreadsheet file" vi, in a for
loop until all 101 lines have been read. This fills a 1D
table of floats.
The table I fill is in my "global variables" vi.
What happens is that if I first load the table (it is filled
ok) then keep running the loader vi, the table appears to
fill with all zeroes.
I don't have a cue at what causes this. I have checked that
the vi I use opens then closes the file, hence I dont have
to. And after a file is closed it can be reopened, right?

You should only have to call "Read From Spreadsheet File.vi" once (not 101 times). The "all rows" output is a 2D Array, and the first column of the array will contain your data. You can get the first column of a 2D Arrray using the "Index Array" function and wiring a zero to the Column input.

Persistant non-blocking operation problem

When using asynchronous database calls with non-blocking methods, I am getting a persistant error on the CreateSQL method call - the error is "OIP-04153: Non-Blocking operation in progress". This is raised even though the database connection has been closed and restarted and no non-blocking operations called. The methods used are similar to the following example code:

I cannot cancel the operation using OraStmt.Cancel because OraStmt Is Nothing!

Actually, that is not correct. All of the 48 port Gig-E line cards for the 6500 are oversubscribed; it does vary by the degree of oversubscription.
In a 6506 or a 6509 (with a Sup720) you have (2) 20 Gbps connections (per slot) to the fabric. With a WS-X6748-GE-TX you have a potential for 48 (Full Duplex) Gbps of traffic, but only 2 connections to the fabric. This yields an oversubscription rate of 1.2:1 (or 48:40) assuming a worst case scenario.
It should be noted that the 24 port 67xx cards are still oversubscribed as well, because they only have one connection to the fabric. There is a potential for 24 Gbps of traffic and only (1) 20 Gbps fabric connection, so it has an identical oversubscription rate.
By using only 24 of the 48 possible ports, depending on which ones you choose, you should be OK. But I do not know which ports use which fabric connection on the backplane, so I can't assist you in picking them.
It should be noted that in most environments it is unlikely every port will be a 100% utilized so the risk of dropping packets because of oversubscription is low.

Non-Milestone Operations to display in Co11N

Some operations in my Routing have a control key that says its a milestone operation and some operations with a control key that says Confirmation possible. When I went to CO11N to do confirmations only the Milestone operations are showing up for selection.
I can manually type a non-milestone operation no and do a confirmation but I was wondering if there is a way to make these Non-milestone operations also appear in the selection.

In customisation of confirmation parameters (OKP4) for the plant, order type combination you need to activate the check box for +Confirmable operations in the tab page "Operation Indv. entry using intial screen".

Default hrs proposal for non milestone operations should not happen

Hi,
I have a sequence of 4 operations among which last operation is milestone and all other three operations are confirmed automatically when 4 th operation is confirmed. But I have removed the default proposal of activity hours in the confirmation parameters of that order type.
So when I confirm the 4 th operation automatically the first 3 operations are also confirmed with default activity hours as proposed by the system. But for 4 th operation system is not proposing any activity hours based on the configuration setting in confirmation parameters. But if I confirm first 3 operations individually using co11 then hours are not proposed and so there is not activity hours on confirmation.
My requirement is I donu2019t want any hours to confirm on the first 3 operations as default when I confirm the 4 operation which is milestone. Is there any setting required or any other way it can be avoided?

Reference to your requirement , you go for setting Not relevent for costing in Operation Overview in case Standard values is schedulling issue .
Othewise , try the below option in OPK4
1.In operation individaul entry scree keep -Confirmable operation check box marked
2.In general valid setting : in Check : Set Temination when operation sequence are not adeher too .
3.Create an operation control key where Confirmation not possible option is there .Copy from standard and assing the same in operations whihc u do not want to confirm .
Would like to know why do u need this kind process where u have operation hrs but u do not want to confirm ? what is the logic of keeping them in roouting and schedueling through APO ?

HT1222 Non responsive operating system after this most recent update?

About 5 days ago, my computer randomly decided to shut off without warning. The next day, Safari caused my computer to crash if I had it open for more than 30 seconds. That night, the operating system could hardly take a terminal command without acting like it had 1MHz clock speed.
I have freshly installed Mavericks again on my MacBook 5,1... After reloading a time machine storage of a month old, exactly the same thing happened. Everything is colossaly slow.
I am now on my second fresh install of Mavericks, and I dare not reload my time machine backup... No problems as of yet.
Ill come back to this post after I install the HT1222 update again, and reply if I see the same problems again.
Not impressed with the update.

When I press the power button, the computer simply beeps three times and does nothing else. I can't get the computer to start up using a system disk either.
That says your logicboard or RAM went bad. It has nothing to do with the security update.

Validation on text item as Regular Expression Question(Repetition Operator)

These are my success entries for a field;

"," seperated 6 digits can be repeated unlimited times.
I found on documentation this; "Repetition Operators; {m,} Match at least m times" and for my need i tried this regular expression; "^[[[:digit:]]{6},]{1,}$", but didnt worked :(
Any comments?

Your expression is a little incorrect because you can't use repetition operators within a bracket expression. How about something like this
"^([[:digit:]]{6},)+$"

How do you generate a 16-bit non-repetitive TTL pattern on the PXI-5411?

I'm using the signal coming out from the 16-bit digital terminal on the front panel of the PXI-5411. I was wondering how to send a digital WORD or pattern through the outputs where the pattern is non-periodic through a short period of time?

The 16 bit output corrosponds to the buffer that is output via the arb. use the random number generator -.5*32768 to generate a random bit patttern as deep as you need.

Upgraded to R12 and Operating Unit Error is coming

We have upgraded to R12. As per the metalink note 259546.1 we have applied a patch to create a non usable operating system as we are not using any of the financial modules.
But now when I am trying to open "Create Timesheet Screen" it gives the following error.
"java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20001: SQL_PLSQL_ERROR: N, ROUTINE, MO_GLOBAL.INIT, N, ERRNO, -20001, N, REASON, ORA-20001: APP-FND-02901: You do not have access privilege to any operating unit. Please check if your profile option MO: Security Profile includes any operating unit or the profile option MO: Operating Unit is set.
I checked the profile option MO:Operating Unit, which is assigned by the the patch that I applied for creation of non-usable operating system.
Any one faced some similar issues

Moving big files(600MB) with FTP Adapter error The IO operation failed

I need to move big files from one server to another remote server through ftp protocol. All the configuration is correct and I am able to move little files

Hi idavistro,
You can try setting the XA Transaction Timeout for SOADataSource.
1. Log in to the WebLogic Admin Console.
2. Select in the left tree: Services-> Datasources-> SOADataSource->Transaction.
2. Select Set XA Transaction Timeout.
3. Set XA Transaction Timeout to 0.
4. Restart the server and check if the error still appears.

Server 2012 R2 and Server 2012 (R1). Both CSV volumes and Hyper-V hosts with non clustered volumes.
ISCSI Attached Storage. (Nimble SAN)
Every time a VM backup is made this error message occurs:
"'SERVERNAME' failed to perform the operation. The virtual machine is not in a valid state to perform the operation. (Virtual machine ID "GUID")"
The backup seems to finish fine most of the time, but it also seems to be causing some VM's to be in a hung/frozen state when this happens.

So it seems that there are some non-backup operation that is trying to occur on the Virtual machine while the backup is in progress. Does this VM have replication enabled on it. Is there a Hyper-V replica server to which this machine get's replicated?

Scheduling by Milestone Operations

All, I have a scenario where my customer would like to calculate the lead time to produce material based soley on the length of time which is entered on Milestone operations for a routing. Currently durations are maintained at each operation and we do not want to remove this as it is important for costing. However they want to have the queue times at the end of a group of operations instead of on each individual. A simple example is below;
Step Duration Milestone lead time
10 1 hr
20 3 hr
30 2 hr 8 hr
40 2 hr
50 2 hr 8 hr
In this example the customer would want this order to take a total of 16 hours. They have a good idea of how long it takes the product to get from Milestone to Milestone. They want to capture all of the queue time in the milestone steps. Also they may have another order which has 7 steps but the overall leadtime the wish to capture is still 16 hours. This is a way for them to set general parameters without having to do time studies for every routing

2. In Mile stone Work center add another standard value key as wait time or previous operation time. (I assume u will have space to add another standard value key.)
3. Please assign the control key meant for scheduling in this work center.
4. Please note the activity type assigned in this standard value key must be dummy and unit cost must be negligible to avoid costing duplication. you can contact finance or costing team in this possibility.
5. In routing, you can use the new assigned standard value key to assign the total time taken by operation before this milestone operation. Hence the scheduling could be done in mile staone operation and costing will not be duplicated.
OR
Using Queue time means you will have to maintina std. queue time and mini. Queue time.
You can try using wait time in routing as the wait time can not be reduced.

Just to illustrate... Let's say you have two methods... int sumOfTwoNumbers(int n1, int n2)... and int addToGrandTotal(int n2)...
sumOfTwoNumbers will be idempotent, you can pass the same numbers as many times as you want and it will give you always the same result...
addToGrandTotal is non-idempotent as it is adding a value to a grand total that's internal to the class, if called twice it will probably return different results... and alter the internal class value as well...
The concept is important in SOA, because idempotent operations are safer than non-idempotent operations... You can always safely resubmit a message to an idempotent operation, on the other hand you will need to perform every possible check in order to avoid double-submission for non-idempotent operations...
