Non-Milestone Operations to display in Co11N

Some operations in my Routing have a control key that says its a milestone operation and some operations with a control key that says Confirmation possible. When I went to CO11N to do confirmations only the Milestone operations are showing up for selection.
I can manually type a non-milestone operation no and do a confirmation but I was wondering if there is a way to make these Non-milestone operations also appear in the selection.

In customisation of confirmation parameters (OKP4) for the plant, order type combination you need to activate the check box for +Confirmable operations in the tab page "Operation Indv. entry using intial screen".

Default hrs proposal for non milestone operations should not happen

Hi,
I have a sequence of 4 operations among which last operation is milestone and all other three operations are confirmed automatically when 4 th operation is confirmed. But I have removed the default proposal of activity hours in the confirmation parameters of that order type.
So when I confirm the 4 th operation automatically the first 3 operations are also confirmed with default activity hours as proposed by the system. But for 4 th operation system is not proposing any activity hours based on the configuration setting in confirmation parameters. But if I confirm first 3 operations individually using co11 then hours are not proposed and so there is not activity hours on confirmation.
My requirement is I donu2019t want any hours to confirm on the first 3 operations as default when I confirm the 4 operation which is milestone. Is there any setting required or any other way it can be avoided?

Reference to your requirement , you go for setting Not relevent for costing in Operation Overview in case Standard values is schedulling issue .
Othewise , try the below option in OPK4
1.In operation individaul entry scree keep -Confirmable operation check box marked
2.In general valid setting : in Check : Set Temination when operation sequence are not adeher too .
3.Create an operation control key where Confirmation not possible option is there .Copy from standard and assing the same in operations whihc u do not want to confirm .
Would like to know why do u need this kind process where u have operation hrs but u do not want to confirm ? what is the logic of keeping them in roouting and schedueling through APO ?

Scheduling by Milestone Operations

All, I have a scenario where my customer would like to calculate the lead time to produce material based soley on the length of time which is entered on Milestone operations for a routing. Currently durations are maintained at each operation and we do not want to remove this as it is important for costing. However they want to have the queue times at the end of a group of operations instead of on each individual. A simple example is below;
Step Duration Milestone lead time
10 1 hr
20 3 hr
30 2 hr 8 hr
40 2 hr
50 2 hr 8 hr
In this example the customer would want this order to take a total of 16 hours. They have a good idea of how long it takes the product to get from Milestone to Milestone. They want to capture all of the queue time in the milestone steps. Also they may have another order which has 7 steps but the overall leadtime the wish to capture is still 16 hours. This is a way for them to set general parameters without having to do time studies for every routing

What I have understood from your requirement is that you wish to use Non - Milestone operation only for costing and not for scheduling but the scheduling for these operation must be done in milestone operation.
I suggest you follow the below steps.
1. Remove the NON Milestone Operations from scheduling in control key.
2. In Mile stone Work center add another standard value key as wait time or previous operation time. (I assume u will have space to add another standard value key.)
3. Please assign the control key meant for scheduling in this work center.
4. Please note the activity type assigned in this standard value key must be dummy and unit cost must be negligible to avoid costing duplication. you can contact finance or costing team in this possibility.
5. In routing, you can use the new assigned standard value key to assign the total time taken by operation before this milestone operation. Hence the scheduling could be done in mile staone operation and costing will not be duplicated.
OR
Using Queue time means you will have to maintina std. queue time and mini. Queue time.
You can try using wait time in routing as the wait time can not be reduced.

Non-English characters not displaying correctly - Serious Issue

My corporate email is on a Lotus Domino server with Lotus Traveler installed.
I have set my PlayBook (with OS 2) up to syncronize with the corporate email trough Active Sync (see http://alturl.com/qh3nn), which works perfectly.
I have however noticed that in some emails special non-english characters are displayed correctly but in some emails special non-english characters are displayed as a black diamond with a question mark inside.
This is of course a serious issue as most non English speaking countries use some special characters.
When trying to understand this problem how can I analyse the emails and see what character set is being used?
And of course better; has someone solved this?

I enabled multi org in 11i and mo Operating unit values set as Non Usable Operating Unit for Multi-Org Conversion, is ok to set is value or will that cause any responsibility.
In R12.1.3 I am getting an error like this
APP-FND-02902: Multi-Org profile option is required. Please set either MO: Security Profile or MO: Operating Unit profile option.

Persistant non-blocking operation problem

When using asynchronous database calls with non-blocking methods, I am getting a persistant error on the CreateSQL method call - the error is "OIP-04153: Non-Blocking operation in progress". This is raised even though the database connection has been closed and restarted and no non-blocking operations called. The methods used are similar to the following example code:

Actually, that is not correct. All of the 48 port Gig-E line cards for the 6500 are oversubscribed; it does vary by the degree of oversubscription.
In a 6506 or a 6509 (with a Sup720) you have (2) 20 Gbps connections (per slot) to the fabric. With a WS-X6748-GE-TX you have a potential for 48 (Full Duplex) Gbps of traffic, but only 2 connections to the fabric. This yields an oversubscription rate of 1.2:1 (or 48:40) assuming a worst case scenario.
It should be noted that the 24 port 67xx cards are still oversubscribed as well, because they only have one connection to the fabric. There is a potential for 24 Gbps of traffic and only (1) 20 Gbps fabric connection, so it has an identical oversubscription rate.
By using only 24 of the 48 possible ports, depending on which ones you choose, you should be OK. But I do not know which ports use which fabric connection on the backplane, so I can't assist you in picking them.
It should be noted that in most environments it is unlikely every port will be a 100% utilized so the risk of dropping packets because of oversubscription is low.

Manufacturing Lead time, milestone operation wise

Good Evening to All !
I have a scenario. I am explaining this scenario through 1 example.
We have a material 'X'. Inhouse production time for this material is 6 days, which is maintained in MRP2 view.
Now in Routing of this material 'X' there are total 10 operations starts from 1 to 10. Operation No. '4' & Operation No. '10' are milestone operation. The workcenter for both milestone operations are different. Now in house production time which I maintained in material master is total lead time for material 'X'.
The requirement is: Workcenter of Operation "4 "wants to know on daily basis that what quantity should be delivered from their workcenter.
Now my question is that can I maintain this lead time(6 days) in 2 parts as:
Till operation "4" my lead time is 5 days &
From operation "5" to Operation 10 lead time is 1 day.
Please suggest all possible solutions.
Can APO help in this scenario.

If you run MRP with "lead time scheduling" (instead of "basic dates"), it will schedule the order by the routing, and let you know the planned workload for each WC in advance.

Non-Latin characters no displaying properly in Safari on iPhone

I am having an issue where non-English (Chinese, Japanese etc) characters are displaying as squares on the iPhone's Safari browser. I've seen this issue on Windows when you haven't installed support for Asian languages.
It would appear that the version of OS-X on the iPhones does not have support for non-Latin character sets.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Could you provide the urls? It may be the pages have bad coding. Correctly coded pages will display according to tests I've seen:

But unlike OS X the iPhone has no way yet to manually correct for miscoded pages via a View > Text Encoding menu.

Non-breaking hyphen not displayed correctly

The non-breaking hyphen (\u2011, &#8209) is not displayed
correctly - the wrong glyph is shown.
To reproduce, do the following:

you're right, Times New Roman does not contain the glyph. I
was seeing 2013 whlie I type 2011 -- my mistake, sorry.
However, it's a pity non of the OTFs implement this glyph
(also Myriad Pro doesn't, for instance). Open Office 3 seems to
replace it by a hypen (which is greyed), and InDesign CS4 also
seems to replace the character and does no word-wrap at this
position.
Of course it would be very convenient if Flash could handle
it the same way..
Btw, character map is the same as my "chart table
application", at least it's my translation from the German
"Zeichentabelle". :-)

Non-printing items that display in the PDF, but do not print

I've not found definitive word on this, but we are creating a document in InDesign (CS3 Mac) and would like to include some navigational arrows that advance users from one page to another.
They would display on screen but would not print when the user prints.
My understanding is that if we render the PDF from InDesign with those items set as a non-printing layer, that they would not display in the PDF.
Is there a way to do this?

Operation confirmation display in REM

Hi,
In my REM scenario, I am doing backflushing in MFBF, this leads to auto goods issue and auto GR of finished product( No reporting point backflushing). I am doing 'Post with correction' and then entering qty for goods issue and then actual timing for activities.
From the documents generated i can see how much goods are issued but from where can I check how much hours are entered for activities? moreover how can i change the data entered in activities if by mistake i have entered wrongly..

No, such status for the planned order. we need to confirm agaist the planned order. and once it confirmed . the particular planned oder ger vanished from the system.

No such report is there to check the activity as doc. but if you see the post doc log. in mf41. you can see whthere the operation is posted or not. but we cannot see the actual hrs that posted against planned one.

-create form.
-create webdynpro controller to enable display form.

-Check Adobe Live cycle designer is installed in your system.
-Check whether ADS(Adobe Document Services) is configured properly and running on the SAP WebAs j2ee engine.
- Acrobat Reader to view the Form.
-Create a Webdynpro Project or Development Component.
-Insert Interactive Form UI element in View.
-Create Context Node of Cardinality 1..1, and below it create nodes and attributes to be      used in Adobe Form
-Create Context Attribute under the root context node of type binary.

Quantity Distribution in last operation in combine order @ Co11n

we are using MILL_OC and creating the combine order ,
presently, we have requirement that at the time of last operation confirmation on combine order, the system proportionate equal ratio on original order where our client required that quantity distribution is being carried out manually on original orders.
so please suggest what will be best solution to do so...!

There are some customizing options which should allow you to cover your process.
IMG --> Production --> Shop Floor Control --> Operations --> Confirmations --> Maintain confirmation parameter in the combination
Let me explain in more detail the available settings:
In your case, the value for 'Quantity Distribution' needs to be set to 'brought forward'. Press 'Enter'!
The last parameter is automatically set to: 'Display Quantity Distribution Screen' - no other values allowed.
If you now access your confirmation transaction the first screen which pops up is where you can enter the different quantities which should be confirmed against the original orders. Press 'execute' and you will get to the standard confirmation screen you are used to see. The total quantity to be confirmed is already calculated (based on what was entered on the distribution screen).
The second parameter controls what you can do with the total confirmed quantity: changeable on the standard screen yes/no. If you change the yield quantity you will be asked to go back to the distribution screen and update your data there before you can save your confirmation. You can do so by pressing the button 'Quantity Distribution' on the standard screen in the confirmation transaction.
If you set the parameter to 'not changeable' the total quantity field is grayed out. You can't make changes here, but you could again access the quantity distribution screen to make required changes.
If you need to change the default values for the quantity distributions only now and again (maybe in your case only during the last operation confirmation) you can set the first parameter to 'back ground pressing'. So the screen sequence shown during confirmation is the standard. Set the third parameter to ' Display Quantity Distribution Screen'. With this setting there will be a push bottom in the standard configuration screen made available which is labeled 'Quantity Distribution'. If you press this button the quantity distribution screen will be shown where you can make the required adjustments.
If you combine process orders you will have limited options.
Hope these settings enable the desired process.

Non-technical: cleaning your display and kit

Nowhere have I found advice on this topic. After much effort, I thought I'd share my experiences. If you're like me, a bit OCD about your kit and its appearance, this is for you.
This works for glass/synthetic displays, as well as aluminium housings.
Your iMac display (perhaps your Cinema display) suffers marks from fingertips, drinks and food. It's an unavoidable hazard. My 2013 iMac is a case in point.
The iMac has a glass bezel, the Cinema display is synthetic. It's my experience that both will benefit from the same treatment.
I've used glass cleaners, (non-abrasive) polishes and proprietary solutions such as iKlear. No matter the solution, and the cloth used, streaking and smudging are the result.
My solution is:
a clean duster, wet, wrung out - if you use a new duster, it's too soft, try to get an old one;
a microfibre cloth, dry.
Use the wet duster to remove all filth, then dry with the cloth. Repeat. And repeat. And repeat...
This might seem obvious, but if you Goggle for this solution you'll find very little guidance.

Seems self-explanatory to me.
Displays
Disconnect the display from power, from its connection to a computer, and from any external devices. Next use the cloth that came with your display or another soft, dry cloth to wipe dust from the screen. If additional cleaning of the display panel or case is required use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid getting moisture in openings. Don't use window cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives to clean the display.
Warning: Don't clean the screen with a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with a screen or display. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen. It may drip inside the display and cause damage.
