How to assign non-stock material as compopnent to operation in General task list?

Hi Shiv,
Here is the solution:
1. Create task list and enter the material code with required quantity. Keep MRP/PR column blank.
2. Don't forget to maintain MRP view in the material master with reorder planing and minimum lot size data.
3. Assign task list in maintenance plan.
4. Schedule maintenance plan.
5. Release maintenance order.
6. Note the reservation number
7. Run MRP MD03 - Single item, single level with material code
8. Go to MD04 and check the PR number.
9. Here your reservation number will convert into PR because non-stock material has stock zero in store.
I have run this scenario successfully. I request you to try this. Item category is not required here.

  • Plant Maintenanc External Service Requirement & stock material combination

    Hi Experts,
    We are implementing SAP Plant maintenance. In the external service requirement, the requirement is that there are some stock items which should be send to vendor with this service item. These items will be used in the service item for repairing the same.
    I have created maintenance order with control key PM03 and by this we are selecting the service from service master. In this way we are creating the service pr but we are unable to put the material in that maintenance order which will be sent for this service item. If we are putting this material in component tab, a reservation is created with 261 movement which is not solving our purpose.
    Please suggest me how to move forward on this issue.

    But I am creating service PR through selecting the check box for sub contracting. After that I am putting material against Operation of External service. Reservation is generated for 543 movement but not allow to save and giving error message "Op. 0010 must have exactly one component as 'Rework Material to Subcontr.'"
    Please suggest what should we do ?

  • PP-MM-FI integration for Non-Stock material consumption

    The client is expecting a simple solution for a Std SAP process which is LIKE subcontracting....but actually not.
    The requirement is to set up a process of external operations using a NonStock (NLAG) material ( which will have no physical stock updation when GR is done). This material is a part of BOM with item category N. The material will have S price control. ( Must from business requirements). PR gets created from process order --> converted to PO --> then 101 and simultaneous automatic consumption gets debited to order. (with a price = PO price). PO has a account assignment F and item category blank Standard).
    Question - This behaviour is not desired. The "Std cost" should be used in posting a consumption posting..& the rest ( PO price less Std price) should be shown as purchase price variance in a different acount. How to customise this break up ? Is there way in MM pricing conditions or something else ?.
    Pl note that there is no stock entry...only consumption will be debited with GR offset at PO price. Also at invoice verification, the price if different should be posted to price difference account ( which is not assigned to process order...it is directly going to COPA).
    Might be a very simple SAP solutions / answers from MM /PP......so that we avoid the ABAP development for reposting..

    Hi,
    Since Material is Non-Stock Material so it is must to maintain the Account Assignment Category in PR or PO for this Material. And once you maintain the Account Assignment Category in PO and do GR w.r.t. this PO then it will not consider the Material Master Price (Standard Price) since there is not any Stock Account Entry during GR, it will hit the Expense Account. And Price Difference Account will get debited only if Stock Account will come in picture.
    So following Accounting Entry will get generated;
    During GR (MIGO);
    Expense Account - Dr
    GR/IR Clearing A/c - Cr
    During LIV (MIRO);
    Vendor Account - Cr
    GR/IR Clearing A/c - Dr

  • Unit Cost of non stock material - Hubwoo Catalogue

    Hi Team,
    There is one requirement to transfer the the cost of matrial from SAP PM to ArcFM. Here the materials are assigned to the operations in the PM order. Here we want to transfer the service cost and material cost of the particular operation to the ArcFM ( ie an external design tool) to estmate the total cost involved for the particular operation.
    Here the unit cost of the stock material can be get from the material master. But for nonstock material, a hubwoo catalogue is maitained. How do we get the unit cost for the this material?
    There is an interfece we have to develop to transfer the service cost and material cost from the SAP to ArcFM. Hence we have to get the unit cost of the non stock material here.

    Yes, you are right but in material master price is not updating, many times I have been assigned the same material as a non stock and at every time I have maintained the planned price on order level but it is still maintained as "0" value in material master,
    what is the standard process?
    what settings need to be made to get automatically planned price or last purchased price for a non stock material?

    does anybody know how to link a purchase request to production order in case of stock material ? When MRP runs aggregate all requirements for stock materials in one purchase request, and I wold like to find list of order that generated the request,

    I think I understand what you are trying to achieve -> this sounds like you would want to do what SAP standard would do with KD/E-requirements (customer specific) = every material=item=position in a SD-order will create it's PR or production order. In the same way you want to generate one PR-item per production-order component - wait! - Maybe you want to create a single PR for every component in the production order???

    You will have to talk to your MM/PP-functional ... if you do not have RESB-entries I have no idea how this process is setup. You probably do not have components in those production orders, only one header-material (CAUFVD-MATNR).  Depending on what is configured in the material-master MRP views + what modifications/enhancements are installed around the complete process, you could have almost any setup. It's impossible to say without seeing it. Make sure s/he explains to you exactly, since even with different stock-materials there could be different setups for procurement.

  • Non stock material billing affected by COPA

    hi,
    In my client COPA has activated. Now one sales commission bill is not posting to financials. Material type they have selected as non stock material. Client will raise sales order for this material and he will do billing this is the process. once do the billing system will post Customer a/c Dr and sales commission a/c Cr. Now it is not happening. System is throwing error message that costing view and cost component is required for this material. Actually this is non stock material. How do post this document without maintaining costing view and STD cost estimate. Pls give your suggestion to post this document.

    yes. it is non valuated material. i have checkedup the material master. General item category group is  NLAG and item category group  also NLAG.

  • Serial number for non stock material

    Hello,
    I would like to create a serial number for a non stock material  (material type NLAG) (PO with account assignment catergory K) and I receive the following error message during the goods receipt (transaction MIGO) :
    *Movement type 101 does not currently support serial number management*
    *Message no. IO306*
    *Diagnosis*
    **With the help of * under the business operation, the entry in table T156S used here under movement type 101 defines that no serial numbers are supported here.**
    *System Response*
    *Termination of the transaction called up.*
    Is there somebody who can help me with this problem please ?

    I'm not familiar with Serial Number Management but I guess you can apply it only to materials with stock.

  • Non-Stock material - report -reg

    Hi PM Experts,
    I want to have a report for Non-Stock material of type - UNBW.But in RESB table ,all the matcodes are appearing,irespective of component line items deleted or not.But when we view in iw33,iw3l,the exact matcode is appearing.
    How to identity the which component line items are  deleted or not?

    Join table AUFK on order field (AUFNR).
    And specify your order type (AUFK-AUART).
    You can get the reservation item which is only assigned to order.

    As our forum members told, assign the particular component to the particular operation.
    so when ever you issue the component for the production order.
    (you cannot issue the component for every operation. normally GI will take place for as per the production order) .
    so when we do the confirmation operation wise, the operatio consume the component which assign to the operation.
    this what happened in the sap.

    Rajat,
    You cannot directly assign a non stock material to the task list.But you can include the non stock material in the BOM for the assembly(In case of General task list) or Equipment /FL object BOM.Once its included you can then select these non stock items into the task list component screen.

  • BOM explosion in MRP for non-stock material

    Dear friends,
    I have a non-stock(bom item category 'N')  service material setup as a component in my production BOM, which during MRP run, should create a Planned order or Purchase requisition for that non-stock component. But, when I run MRP for the top-level material, it doesn't create any requirement for that service material, while all other stock material(Bom item category L), it generated dependant requirements.

    material that is not kept in stock before use, and that is only procured for a
    specific planned order or production order.
    The material is only rarely required for a custom-made product and is used
    directly in the product as a purchased part.
    <u><b>Before you start</b></u>
    You can enter a non-stock item either with or without a material master. If you
    enter a non-stock item without a material master, you must enter a description.
    For non-stock items, you have to maintain purchasing data in the bill of material.
    You enter the following materials as non-stock items because the quantities are
    not updated in the material master record:
    o     Materials with a material type that supports configuration
    o     Pipeline materials, which can be taken from a pipeline at any time
    <u><b>
    Special functions</b></u>
    The following functions are supported for non-stock items
    •     You maintain purchasing data for non-stock items in the bill of material.
    •     In the planning run, the system generates purchase requisitions
    instead of dependent requirements for components that are procured directly.
    When you configure your R/3 System for MRP, you can define whether direct
    procurement is triggered by the planning run or by production order management.
    •     Product costing processes take valuation data from the BOM item.
    The system determines the release strategy on the basis of the price data you
    enter. The material group is required to produce a purchase requisition.

  • 319- split Structured material into component

    HI all,
    You are splitting structured material into component by Movement type 319. Basically used in Retail, Now we have a scenario to split structured materrial into component at the time of  good receipt & 319 fullfill our requirement.. But problem is that we dont have SAP Retail.
    Please suggest without SAP Retail how can we use any customization.

    When i do Good receipt using 319 only stock of bom materials will increased.
    But You required some Customization for Structured materials to split into components. You can do only if your using SAP Retail.
    We dont have Retail module. So without This feature is there any option in MM.

    While doing MIGO for non stock material in case of projects, system is crediting account from WRX in OBYC with blank valuation class. but how can we give different GL for projects in this case.

    Its upto you if you want maintain material master record or not for non valuated material. With material master you have a material code to input in the field of PO, without material master you put in short text.

  • During creation of NON stock material PO from where system will pick price

    While creating PO for non stock material from where system will pick the price?
    If info record is there from where it will pick, if info record is not there then from where it will pick like that...
    If existing PO is there or not
    if existing contract is there or not
    For non stock material should we maintain the material master or ?

  • Automatic PR to PO conversion for non stock material

    Hi,
    Can  Automatic PR to PO conversion be done for non stock material (with account assignment category and no material master).
    We are presently doing only for stock material with transaction ME59N.

    Some of the pre-requisites for automatic generation of PO from PR are
    1. The system selects only those requisitions for automatic PO generation for which the indicator Automatic purchase order has been set for both the material and the vendor.
    2. It can only generate purchase orders from requisitions to which a unique source of supply has already been assigned.
    So material master is mandatory if you want to create PO automatically from PR and you need to activate this option both at vendor and material master.
