Notes: Float on Top stopped working.

I have been using Apple Notes to help me organize my desktops. I have ~6 desktops open and click back and forth for different tasks running simultaneously. I found that I could "peel off" a note and attach it to a specific desktop. This suddenly stopped today. The "Float on Top" option under the Windows pull down menu is now permanently grayed out. Is there a fix?

Indeed, the functionality did change somewhat. Now, rather than tearing a note off to display it in a separate window, one would double-click the note's entry in the left-hand list of the Notes application. Once a note is in its own separate window, the 'Float on Top' menu item becomes accessible.

When in iTunes on the computer,my our ipadmshould show under devices.
Click on your ipadmunder devices then go to music at top center of the iTunes window, check what you want to sync for music. You need to set it to a folder if I remember which would have your music in it you want synced.
Same with PDF files.....there should be an option for data or even PDF files at the top center area of iTunes when the iPad is clicked under devices.
If your iPad does not show or you cannot click on it under devices which is in the leftane of iTunes, the iPad is not being seen by the computer.
Try unplugging the USB cord from the laptop then give it a few and see if the computer picks it up.

The power supply is shot. But that it lasted even this long is the wonder.. not that it died.
The TC runs too hot..
Look on ebay for "Time Capsule power supply"
You can get a replacement and fix it although the economics are not so good.. it is probably time for a new TC.
If you can DIY it is really only a few dollars worth of capacitors that go bad.

Sorry to hear that you have had trouble with the S Voice app. When did the trouble begin? Any recent changes to the phone that correspond with it working when the screen is black? Go to the S Voice application -> Menu -> Settings -> Is the "Voice wake-up" turned on?

Why,when I click on a link it can not be located & Firefox stops working?

when I click on a link (for example in an e-mail) the following message appears: The procedure entry point js_NextActiveContext could not be located in the dynamic link library js3250.dll
Then another message comes up stating: Firefox has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
If I open Mozilla Firefox it works alright. Thanks for any help.

My scheduled Do Not Disturb function has stopped working; help!

I have the iPhone 5 & the scheduled Do No Disturb function recently stopped working which I was using daily. The regular Do Not Disturb (on/off) still works

Prel 13 saved project files will not open, or Prel stops working.

         Sandgrass-Saved files of Prel 13 projects will not open in Prel 13. Is there any way to reclaim/alter these files to where they will open? Could there be a missing codec?
        My computer—Hpe 580t, Win 7 Professional 64-bit OS with second internal 1 TB hard drive;
           Intel R Core, TM i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07 GHz,      RAM 9.00GB
All of my clips and stills were taken on my Nikon CoolPix P500. They will import just fine from PSE organizer or from Prel 13 organizer and I can edit just fine. The trouble seems to be when I attempt to open the saved project files for further editing or adding movie theme and scene markers for a 54-minute movie.
                   I have tried opening from within Prel 13 and from the stored files on my Data Drive E:. Prel opens the project and tries to load; then an error msg appears: “Premiere Elements has stopped working. Windows will close the program and let you know if a solution is found”, or an error message says "Cannot open:---this file is not compatible with Pre"l. Only one copy of several edited and rendered copies of the project will open, and I am very afraid to touch it until someone can maybe suggest a solution. I tried saving copies of the one working file, but none of them will open. Thank you for your assistance.      Sandgrass

Did you say that you were working on Windows or Mac? For now, assuming Windows,
1. Go to the Adobe Folder in Documents (should be there unless you changed the default).
2. Locate the project.prel file of interest in Adobe Folder/Documents Folder/Premiere Elements Folder/11.0 Folder. Inside the 11.0 Folder, among some folders and other files, are the project.prel files if you did not do any special organization. Right click the project.prel of interest and select Open With, followed by Premiere Elements 10. Does the project now open?
Do you have any versions of Premiere Elements on your computer except this Premiere Elements 10?
Have you deleted or moved any of the source media that went into your project after you saved/closed any of these projects? Where are your source media stored? If on an external hard drive, is the drive letter of that drive changing on its own?
What happens if you rename one of the problem project.prel files in the Adobe Folder and then try to open it from there?
Just some thoughts for now.
We will be watching for further developments.

How do I play a movie in a separate window and why will my movie not float on top?

I like to watch movies in a smaller, separate window that floats on top of any other windows. Since I installed all of the updates, I can not get this to happen. I read and thought that if you click on the artwork it would launch a separate window but it will launch a music file. Help please!

You'll need some sort of additional software. You can still get iDVD by purchasing the iLife '11 retail box (it's available from the Apple Store or probably any Apple dealer). Or you can get other software such as Roxio's Toast. There's also a simple free application you can try:

ClickBiosII will not run - SCEWIN_64 has stopped working

I've been up and running for about two weeks on a new motherboard that I recently installed (info below). Everything was working fine and I had the ClickBiosII running and was working fine. I just installed the MSI LiveUpdate 5 and it reported that there was a new Bios download available which has a fix for a Windows 8 issue (which I'm running on Windows 8) so I decided to do the update. Once the update completed (which appeared to complete successfully and rebooted the computer) then my ClickBiosII will no longer start. All it does is display a message at start up reporting:
SCEWIN_64 has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
I've uninstalled it (totally cleared out it's installation directory), reinstalled it back with the original one from my setup disk, still failed.
Uninstalled it again and used LiveUpdate5 to download and install the latest one and it still fails.
When I do try to run it and it fails, the Task Manager for Apps, shows: ClickBIOS_Loading (32 bit)
And there is a Background Process of: MSI CLICK BIOS II (32 bit)
I have to kill both of these before I can even attempt to try to run it again.
WHY isn't it working any more just with a Bios update???

The MSI register site really sucks!! I usually don't get very frustrated at company sites much but the MSI site stinks. I've gone in and created an account, but there is no way to register my product. Every link I click on there displays a Message with only one button on it "Back to Member Center" which the screen automatically goes back to the previous window on it's own.
I've tried the Technical Support link and I get a "This page can't be displayed" message.
So I can't get to any support from MSI itself. I wish I had known this before I purchased this mother board!

GTX 670 PE - Does not transmit the image - Stopped working and has recovered

First excuse me for English.
I bought my gtx 670 last year, and everything worked fine but sometimes with blue screen, thought it would be a mismatch. Before yesterday, when I was playing, the screen went black and the message appeared that he had recovered. I uninstalled all drivers and reinstalled all to the latest version 334.89. When I start my computer does not appear any image. The monitor seems to receive the signal from the board, but does not transmit. Replaces it with my old gtx 460 and it worked perfectly. I removed one stick of memory, and for a few minutes I thought I would have solved my problem until the screen goes completely black again. Updated the bios to latest version of the motherboard. Yesterday and today were the day of testing.
I put the video card in another machine and got a better response.
In my current machine can not see the bios when I start the machine.
On another machine I can see the bios and I can spend some time with image, but spending a few minutes the screen goes black also.
I did a stress test and then the screen went black. The temperature was 40 degrees.
I'm guessing the card is actually faulty.
Any idea for new tests?

TS1424 A movie I bought (not rented) on Itunes stopped working after not watching it for over a year. Now it just shows a black screen.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

StarWalk compass stopped working with their most recent update.

My favorite application on my iPad used to be Starwalk. Ever since their most recent update on April 30, the internal compass stopped working (which is basically the backbone of the entire app). I contacted Vito technology (the developer) - it took a long time to get a response, but after several efforts they finally replied that there was a flaw in the iPad's internal Magnetometer, that it had nothing to do with their software, and there was nothing they could do about it - I should take it up with Apple. The app worked perfectly until their most recent update. I looked at their reviews/comments and numerous people were making the exact same complaint, and everyone said it stopped working as the result of the April 30 Starwalk update. I have one friend with a 3G iPad and the app still works fine for him. I have another friend with a wiFi version like me, and the app ALSO stopped working for him on April 30. So I understand not all iPads are affected.
So am I supposed to take this up with Apple now and tell them there is a flaw in their magnetometer that caused StarWalk to break as of their last update, and see if they can fix all our devices?
I don't believe Vito's assertion that their software is not at fault (considering so many people are complaining in their negative reviews that the last update triggered this breakage).
I'm frustrated and wonder if anyone else is experiencing this. Starwalk used to be my favorite app, and its even more frustrating to listen to the developer tell me its a device flaw that's been there all along, when me and many other people all had simultaneous magnetometer problems develop on April 30 - the moment we installed their last update.

Just that I have the latest from April 30 and there are no updates that are available to me. I guess you have the wifi only version as I do? I can't quite figure out why this would be affecting some people and not others. If you go to the StarWalk page on iTunes you'll see the list of people complaining about the same thing. In iTunes it also says my iPad software is up to date (I assume that means the OS/firmware).
So do you guys think this is something I take up with StarWalk or Apple? I feel a little ripped off that Vito has sold me a $6 app (granted that is not much) that has stopped working, and they are telling me its a flaw in the device.
I'll paste the response I received from Vito below. Bear in mind that although they say this has nothing to do with their software, all of the people who are complaining had a functioning app before April 30, and it stopped working as soon as we made that update.

In specific circumstances iPhone/iPad digital compass (magnetometer) may operate with difficulties, essentially causing errors in all applications that rely on its data.
Unfortunately, we cannot fix this particular problem, because it is caused by the digital compass malfunction and has nothing to do with our software. However, we are happy to offer you directions which may help you avoid experiencing this inconvenience in the future.
For better functioning of the digital compass consider doing the following:
1) Tilt your device from landscape to portrait orientation several times. This will help the digital compass recalibrate itself and calculate current position.
2) Make sure the compass is not obstructed by thick walls of buildings or large amounts of metal nearby. Try going outside.
3) Consider trying again later. Sometimes it is unclear what may be influencing the magnetometer.
If you need more information, please read the magnetometer specifications below.

"Do not import duplicates" doesn't work

Hi everyone,
I've been using Aperture 3.5.1 for a while and the import process always worked fine, until suddenly the "Do not import duplicates" feature stopped working. Now any time I plug my iphone or insert the SD card the photos I've already imported appear again on the import screen.
The funny thing is that if I open the library with iPhoto and import the images with it, the duplicate pictures do not show up, so it's definitely an Aperture issue. For the time being I'll keep importing stuff via iPhoto and then switch to Aperture for editing, but I'd like to get this thing fixed. I filed a bug report on Apple's bug reporter last week but got no reply.

Well, it appears that if you
- import an image
- change your system time zone (going west, if that matters)
- plug the device again
then Aperure doesn't recognize you've already imported that image. I don't see how this could be considered a normal behaviour, I call it a bug (a bug iPhoto doesn't have btw).
You left something out: How did you set the Time Zone brick in Aperture's Import panel, when you made that test with a differnet Time Zone? Aperture uses the current system time zone to interpret the time stamps on the images as the default time zone, when you do not set the "camera time" and "actual time" correctly in the Import panel. This way you will import the images with a different time stamp, and then they will be different for Aperture. The date/time of the file are differnet, the file will be considerd to be different. But you can prevent that by setting the time zone correctly in Aperture's Import panel.

IPhone 4 Apps stop working after sync

Everytime I sync my I phone my downloaded apps will not open. I can correct this by downloading another App but that is a pain. I want to be able to sync my iPhone and not have my app stop working.

I've just noticed the 'more like this' section on the right with similar problems and it appears to be a common problem with iTunes not being authorised so I have now done that and hopefully it'll be fine now. I just opened iTunes then went to store-authorise this computer.
