Number ranges in crm

What kind of number ranges  we maintain normally when we are downloading BPs from r3 to crm . EX: I m downloading account groups in r3 to crm for which external
number ranges were maintained in r3.Do i need to maintain External number ranges or Internal number ranges in crm .
( or )
Can we maintain internal number ranges in both the sides r3 and crm .

HI,
You need to maintain only external number range in CRM, when you are replicating from R/3, in R/3 it could be either internal or external.

  • Is it possible to gater three data in one number ranger (Ecc - CRM)

    Hi, all.
Now, we plan to gather three data types in CRM
: employee in HR, students in CM, BP(Gen.) in CRM
In other words, we want to dowload two data types from ECC to CRM
and to save BP in one number range in CRM .
Then we want to save the three data in one number range in CRM, for employee.
    Is this possilbe?
If it is possible, do I implement something special?
    Regards,
    Han Kyu

    Han,
It appears you can control the number range for replication of the employee record when using ALE.  Now the here are the limitations for your scenario to work:
    - You must use an internal number range that is either the default internal range, or explicit configure a grouping to be used.  By default the system will download into the default grouping.
If your goal is for all partners to exist in one grouping called ZALL.
Then ZALL needs to be assigned an internal number range and marked as the standard internal number range for all CRM business partners.
Once this is done, then your employee download will use this ZALL grouping, you then will want to "hide" all the non-standard groupings for creation in CRM.
Your CM application then needs to replicate it's business partners to your ZALL grouping.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • User Exit/BADI to pass external number range in CRM 2007

    Hi,
In CRM 2007, Is there any User Exit or BADI to pass number range object externally ?
    Like USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE routine in MV45AFZZ include ( ECC ).
Business requirement : separate number series is need to be maintained for each service location.
Kindly help if you know the solution.
    Thanks
    Bhanu

    Hello Bhanu,
You need to follow following steps to do so:
Create an external number range in SNRO.
Assign this number range to your transaction type in transaction processing configuration part.
Create an implementation for BADI CRM_ORDERADM_H_BADI or ORDER_SAVE. Now depending upon your condition you can assign the number to the Object id here in the work area.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks

    Hello All
I am working on CRM u2013 HR integration,
After replicating the organizational model and employees I found that not all of the employees have been replicated so I did changes in the number ranges that have been assigned to the employees at the table T770S0 and I tried again but still the same problem, my question is does the change in the number range causes no employee replication or just affects the business number for the newly replicated employees?
My number range assigned for the employees is external numb range

  • Number Range for Contact persons in SAP CRM

    Hi Experts,
Can anyone brief me about the contact persons concept in CRM and ERP?
How and where the the no. ranges are maintained , config settings, link between ERP and CRM?
Standard Account group for contact persons in ERP and CRM?
I would appreciate and points would be awarded .
    Best Regards
    Suchhi

Contact persons can be maintained on both sides. In our case, we mantain contact persons mainly for needs of sales department, so we set master on CRM.
How and where the the no. ranges are maintained , config settings, link between ERP and CRM?
To define number ranges on crm side go to IMG>Cross-Application Components>SAP Business Partner>Business Partner> Basic Settings>Number Ranges and Groupings>Define Number Ranges
For number range created you have to create grouping. This grouping has to be assigned manually or automatically when creating a business partner. The business partner gets a number from the number range that is assigned to the grouping.
This can be defined under IMG>Cross-Application Components>SAP Business Partner >Business Partner>Basic Settings> Number Ranges and Groupings>Define Grouping and Assign Number Ranges
For number range created inCRM system you have to define a corresponding number range in the ERP. This is necessary to ensure that business partners created in CRM system get the same ID when they are replicated to ERP.
Go to IMG>Logistics>General >Business Partner>Customers>Control>Define and Assign Customer Number Ranges
Next define account groups under IMG>Logistics>General>Business Partner>Customers>Control>Define Account Groups and Field Selection for Customer
For each of CRM business partner classifications you have to define a mapping to an ERP account group. Run transaction code PIDE and do the mapping.
And of course your middleware settings must also be in order.
Standard Account group for contact persons in ERP and CRM?
There are no predelivered account groups for contact persons.

  • ISU - CRM Contact Activity replication numbe range

    Hi Experts,
Currently we are replicating the ISU Contacts as Business activties in CRM and the numbe range that CRM business activites getting created in CRM is different to ISU Contacts. Could any one tell me how to check where this number range set up is maintained and also pls explain me what configurations are required to maintain the same numbe range of ISU contacts to Business activities in CRM.
    Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
the number ranges are assigned in the customizing for the transaction in CRM (path: CRM > transactions > Basic settings > Define transaction types).
The transaction type used for the CRM activity is defined in IS-U table BPCT_CRM_CLASS field ACT_PROCESS_TYPE. If you create the number range assigned to that transaction, you can create your activities in CRM in the same number range as the business contacts in IS-U. However, it is not possible in standard SAP to assign the same number to the activity in CRM as the original business contact in IS-U.
    Hope this helps!
    Best regards,

  • About a special number range

    Hi experts,
I'm doing the initial download of customers from R3 to CRM4.0. One of the KTOKD has assigned the following number range:
    From T001  To V999
My question: Is possible to configure the same number range in CRM? My customer wants to maintain the same number customers but I don't know how to set this number range in CRM (I tried but the system alert me that this range is not a numerical one.)
It's an issue very urgent. Please help me, I'll reward all useful tips.
    Thanks in advance
    Javier Merino

    Hi Jörn,
    thank you for the answer.
I want to download customers from R3 to CRM but my problem is that I can't create a number range in CRM which be the same used in R3 (T001 to V999).
This range must be external in CRM as I know but it's impossible to create this range with this notation.
    Hope you understand me.
    Thanks
    Javier

  • Number range" A to ZZZZZZZZZZu201D is not replicating to ECC

Number range" A to ZZZZZZZZZZu201D is not replicating to ECC.
Number range A to ZZZZZZZZZZ is assigned to u201CAS04u201D Grouping in CRM system and this same number range are configured in ECC system as well.
I understand that in order to replicate business partner we need to have same number ranges in both the systems and if CRM having external number range, R/3 number range
    Should be internal.
I found in my systems, external check box is checked for this number range in both the systems.
I tried to uncheck the external number check box in R/3 system and System gives an error message to u201Center a numeric numberu201D and it doesnu2019t allow me to uncheck the external number check box and save.
Please advise, can we use alphabetic number range from CRM to R/3?
    Regards,
    Silpa.

    Hi Arup,
Thanks a lot for your reply,
Yes, we have configured the same number range in ECC as well.
We have three account groups in CRM, number ranges configure correctly in both the systems.
    1)AS01
    2)AS02
    3)AS04
AS01 is replicating from CRM to R/3 fine, but AS02, AS04 Groupings are not replicating to R/3.
But i found some thing wrong in PIDE settings for AS02, AS04 groupings, below are the PIDE settings.
    CRM->R/3
    Classification/Account Group/Name
    A/AS01/End customer
    B/AS01/End customer
    E/AS01/End customer
    R/3->CRM
    Account Group/Name/Classification/Group/External
    AS01/End customer/B/03/External
    AS02/Agent/B/04/External
    AS04/Trading house/B/05/External
Kindly note that, for AS04 grouping we would like to use external number range in CRM system.
Please advise what should i change in PIDE settings?
    Regards,
    Silpa.

  • Can we maintain role specific number ranges?

Can we maintain role specific number ranges in sapcrm..ex i want to give number range between 0-100 to role sold-to-party. is this possible ?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
You cannot maintain an explicit relationship between the number ranges in CRM and roles.
To configure number ranges you have to define groupings in CRM.
While you create your BP, it is this point of time when you have to specified the grouping you want to use (indirectly the number range assigned to it). This will decide the number for the BP.

  • Number Range issues with sales orders in CRM and R/3

    Hi,
We are currently using CRM4.0. I have sales orders created in R/3 and they are replicated into CRM.  These sales orders can only be created in R/3.  I have given them a number range of 0000000001 and 0005899999, however we have reached the number 0005899999 so we increased the internal number range for the sales orders in R/3 to 0009499999, however we forgot to update the number range for the corresponding sales transaction type in CRM so we are getting the following error in CRM:
    +Enter a business transaction number between 0000000001 and 0005899999
    Message no. CRM_ORDERADM_H532
    Diagnosis
You have attempted to enter a transaction number which is not allowed for the transaction type.
    Procedure
Enter a number between  &1 and &2. Make sure that you issue a number which has not already been issued.+
We have now updated the CRM number range to match that in R/3 to 0000000001 and 0009499999 but we are still getting the error above on our existing sales orders in CRM.  I thought that increasing this number range it will remove the error but when I open sales orders in CRM the error is still there.
Is there any way to remove this error message?  Any tips or advice would be much appreciated.
Please note we've already checked the post Re: Number Range Problem and note 427289.
    Kind Regards
    JoJo

    Hi Sirisha,
The solution depends on the exact issue you are facing.
The CRM Sales Order is created OK, but you only see the error when you open the Sales Order?
If this is the case, then you can follow the steps below:
    1. Find the Message ID and Message No for the error message
    2. Use Program - CRM_MESSAGES_DELETE to delete error messages from the error producing Sales Orders.
Let me know if this is not the issue you are facing.

  • BP creation in CRM WebClient - Role and Number Range assignment

    Hello,
I have the requirement to specify a particular number range and BP role when an Account is created in the CRM WebClient Interface.
For example as standard, when an employee is created through the CRM WebClient (BSP component BP_EMPL) the default employee role (BUP003) and the default number range are assigned to the BP.
I would need to specify a different number range and role to the employee
I've tried to configure the Account Identification profiles (activity "Define Account Identification Profiles" in customizing); with that activity you can specify which role and which number group you want to use for the BP (account) creation. However this customizing is affecting the IC WebClient only and not the CRM WebClient.
I was wondering if a similar customizing activity exists for the CRM WebClient (in particular for the BP_EMPL application), or if there's a way around this.
Anybody has an idea about how to solve this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

    Hi all,
I have done this by defaulting the bp group in the BADi
1.Go to the se18 and select BADI_CRM_BP_UIU_DEFAULTS and select the interface IF_UIU_BP_DEFAULTS
    2. Go to the method IF_UIU_BP_DEFAULTS~GET_DEFAULT_VALUES and you can write your logic here to default the grouping.
In my case I wanted all accounts created to be defaulted to a particular grouping and my code looks like this
    lv_name1 = lr_current->get_property_as_string( iv_attr_name ='BP_CATEGORY' ).
                        IF lv_name1 IS NOT INITIAL.
                          IF lv_name1 = '2'.
                            lr_current->set_property( iv_attr_name = 'BP_GROUP'
                                       iv_value = '0060' ).
                          ENDIF.
                        ENDIF.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Vendor Number Range Conflict SAP ECC and CRM 2007

I need to load SAP ECC Vendor data from SAP to CRM and have setup most of the configuration as required. However I have an issue, the vendor number range used currently in our SAP system is already in use in our CRM system and has been for some time (for Prospects and Contacts).  What is the best approach to dealing with this issue...
My initial thought was to see if we could have two different numbers for the same vendor in ECC and SAP CRM
eg SAP Vendor "50000001" equates to CRM "VEN50000001"
Is such as approach supported?  Can you point me to the documentation that shows how such an approach could be implemented.  What approaches have others done to address similar issues?
    Thanks in advance
    Eddie
By the way we are on CRM 2007 sp4

    Hi Eddie,
SAP Note 1044637 - Customize Vendor Numbers
Implement the code present in the attachment. You can
change it according to your own requirements. The example code
suffixes 'VEND' before the first six digits of the vendor
number before it is downloaded to CRM.
    Thanks,

  • Contact person Number range in ERP and CRM - Middleware settings

    Dear SDN team,
We have currently integrated SAP CRM 5.2 and SAP R/3 4.6 c using Middleware .
The contact persons are maintained in SAP R/3 system and also downloaded into CRM system . Currently the Number range is different in both the systems
Going forward, we can create and maintain Contact Person data in CRM only. But we have an issue with the Number ranges allocation in ERP system.
    Our Questions are :
    1) Can we maintain a external number range for Contact Persons in ERP system ?  If yes , how is this possible ?  because Contact person is not a standard Account group in ERP and we cannot maintain PIDE settings for Contact persons .
    2) What is the best solution to maintain Contact persons between ERP and CRM with active Middleware settings.
A Good answer will get maximum points.
    Regards
    Ritvij

    Dear Ritvij,
Am no sure how best I can answer but attempting:
Basically the contact persons in the R/3 system when are transfered to a CRM, the system generates the number from the number range with internal number assignment of the standard grouping. Hence, no PIDE settings involved.
Now, maintaining the contact person in CRM and to determine the number range for contact persons differently, you got to go for enhancement. You can look at the note 564538 which might give you some clues as to what enhancements are required.
    thanks
    Ravi
