NWCE exception, "Check the Resource Manager!"

Dears,
I'm trying to run a form on WebDynpro NWCE (Java only), and I receive the following exception:
javax.xml.rpc.soap.SOAPFaultException: javax.ejb.EJBException: nested exception is: com.sap.engine.services.ts.exceptions.BaseRollbackException: SAP J2EE ENGINE | TRANSACTION SERVICE | detected a Resource Manager ERROR | TRANSACTION [SAP J2EE Engine JTA Transaction : [071ffffff93ffffff96001dffffffb1]] WAS ROLLED BACK: In prepare phase of two phase commit protocol one or more XAResource returned unspecified in the JTA1.0.1 specification prepare status! Check the Resource Manager!"
I'm new to AdobeForms and the last statement ("Check the Resource Manager!") means nothing for me. I'm actually not sure the configuration of AdobeDocumentService is correct. The configuration check succeeds (as explained in the config guide), but then - why this problem appears?
Is there some simple WebDynpro application, which uses an Adobe Form, that can be used just for configuration testing?

1. check if you have made the changes in your EJB code after you changed the type of the data in the DB Table
2. Generated the Entities again for the changed table
3. published the EAR file which contains the changed EJB
As mentioned in my first post, the WSDL file is absolutely fine (the type of the respective attribute is 'String' and not 'boolean) so I think I adopted the EJB appropriately and published ( = deployed) it with EAR. If not I couldn't reimport the Adaptive Webservice Model with the correct attribute type, could I?
Are there more things I have to do with EJB beside deploying it with EAR that it runs correctly?
When generating the entities the Java-Files don't get the same structure as the current ones (in the head of the files) and I get even more errors.
One more thing: In the EJB there is a persistence unit mentioned but I can't find it anywhere? Perhaps I have to modify that unit too?

I use Orable 8.1.7.4 with Sun Java Application Server 7.0.0_04. The XA data source I use is oracle.jdbc.xa.client.OracleXADataSource.
Oracle JDBC driver version is 10.1.0.2.0.
I have an J2EE application with 2 EJB modules. Each EJB module works use own ConnectionPool.
All Entity beans are CMP, CMT.
All methods have transactional attribute REQUIRED.
When I work with beans from single EJB module only, all works fine.
When I try to call session bean method from a session bean from ANOTHER EJB module - an exception will be thrown:
WARNING: JTS5041: The resource manager is doing work outside a global transaction
oracle.jdbc.xa.OracleXAException
Anyone got any idea?

I remember having exact same problem with 9.2 drivers, the problem got fixed with 9.2.0.5 drivers -- perhaps Oracle hasn't ported the same fix to 10g drivers. As a workaround try creating non-XA datasource to avoid the exceptions.

User A is manager of User B and User B is manager of User C and you are trying to assign User C as manager of User A then it shows this error.
Please check into your OIM.

How to see the topicrefs of a nested ditamap in the resource manager?

I use FM 12. I am trying to move a 500 page document with several chapters into Dita 1.2. I use one ditamap per chapter. When I nest ditamaps under a main ditamap using maprefs, I do not see the topicrefs of each map. Also, the topics do not show up when PDF is generated. How can I make all topicrefs appear in the resource manager?

You can't see the topics in the chapter maps form the root map. When you open a map, you see the topicrefs for that map not the submaps. If you want to see the topicrefs, double-click the map reference and it'll open the chapter map. That might be a nice feature, but it doesn't currently work that way. If you want to see all of the topicrefs together, you'll need to put them all in one map.
The issue of the topics in the submaps not being included when you generate a PDF sounds like a bug (or you've set something up wrong). You might try changing the maprefs to topicrefs. A mapref is really just a special type of topicref, and the build process may not be set up to handle maprefs.

How to disable the Resource Manager

I'm trying to deactivate the resource manager for oracle 9i with the next statment:

but then i get the next error starting the database:

IPAD 1 problems after ios 5.1.1 update, itunes does not recognize IPAD.. I check the device manager, it identifies an unknown device (My ipad) but unable to use it.

I am using the generation 1 IPAD.
I recently updated my ios from ios 4 to ios 5.1.1, I did the restore after the update and all seemed fine as it was detected the first time.
I tried connecting the IPAD again but it shows that the computer, itunes is not able to detect the IPAD.
I checked on the device manager, it identifies an unknown device (IPAD) and says no software for the driver. I am using windows 7 on my laptop. I never had any such problem with the iso 4. Any suggestions as to how this can be solved?

Thank you, I tried uninstalling the device driver to reinstall again. After doing the scan for hardware changes, nothing flashes on the device manager. I dont see anything related to the IPAD or any other device for which driver shows unidentified device. It is as though the device is not being seen by the computer at all..
I even tried flashing the home/sleep buttons together but that doesnt seem to identify any device either.
Anything else I am missing?

Foxfire error message that I already have the application running. But when I check the system manager, I don't see that Foxfire is running.

Often, when I click on Foxfire, I get an message saying that Foxfire is already running and I have to close it to start it agai. But when I look at the sys manager (ctl/alt/delete) it does nopt show that Foxfire is running.

Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

Exception with the Configuration Manager

I need to access the Configuration Manager in my J2EE application on NetWeaver 7.0.
I follow the guidelines on http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0d/7fcb4974874767be388007bf9e5c2a/content.htm
In the application-j2ee-engine.xml file, I add:

Someone PLEASE Check The Media Manager Program! RunTime Components Will NOT Download Properly!

I am a Verizon FiOS subscriber, and my family members have Verizon apps and programs on their computers. For some ungodly reason, Media Manager does NOT install properly once the initial download program is acquired. There is a message that comes up that says "Media Manger installer is having a problem accessing the server to download RunTime components. Please try again later." I've had my brother call because he is the most technically inclined, and despite being on the phone extensively with Verizon representatives, NO-ONE has fixed or seems to be able to fix this problem!
I would appreciate it if someone would please either fix the files at the server, fix the downloader so that it goes to whatever new area where the runtime components are, or post the correct link to perhaps a full installer of Verizon MediaManager. It is very frustrating that despite calling, I have not gotten ANY proper assistance with this issue!

What OS are you running?
If Vista or Windows 7, Try right clicking the install program and selecting run as administrator. See if that helps.

mac for MCS builds does not match the original license. If something was entered
incorrectly when you registered the PAK you need to contact

How do I enable hibernation mode?! Have checked the resources out there, no clue still...

So,
I noticed, when I went home for Thanksgiving, that my computer was no longer going into hibernation mode on battery. So I entered "pmset -g" into terminal, to determine what the issue was, and these are my results:

I know that standbydelay is the delay for battery sleep, until it goes into hibernation mode. Since I have hibernatemode 3 enabled, it should be fine. However, standby shows a 0 next to it, suggesting to me that hibernation mode has been turned off somehow. I see that autopoweroff (which is the hibernation mode for when the machine is plugged in), shows a 1 next to it, signifying that it is enabled. And...like I would expect seeing these results, my computer hibernates fine after 14,400 seconds when plugged in...yet does not go into hibernation mode EVER when on battery.
How do I turn hibernation mode on for when the computer is on battery? There is a 0 there, so there must be a terminal command to enable/disable it. Not sure how it got jacked up? It's kind of annoying, because it should be entering sleep mode after 4200 seconds to save me battery.

By what the terminal is telling me is that iTunes is blocking the change. So you would have to disable iTUnes and then activate Hibernation to be able to do this. However I would hesitate in doing this because iTunes is a very active program that downloads tunes to your computer 24-7 because of all those that are free and downloaded to all subscribers.

Report to check the assignment of resource for a WBS

Correct if I am wrong.
If there is any other way where I can find the resource assigned to the particular WBS.

if the requirement is for a particular WBS element or for the activities under it
for activities you can assign resources through work force planning
if the resources are already assigned or vacant can be checked through the transaction code CMP9
CMP2 can also be used for the same
for checking the capacity for work center assigned to that particular activity you can use CM01
the best transaction to check the resource assignment is CN41 you shall get the entire details of all the resource assigned for a activity thus there by getting it for a WBS element.you can have your own layout for display of the reports with the working hours and balance work
if you directly require it over to WBS element the best means is to go for development

Resource manager and images being rewritten in the project root

Hi everybody,
I began using the Resource Manager, and I created two folders, one with HTML files (topics), and another one with pictures present in those topics.
As I transferred the topics to the HTML shared folder the pictures references remained the old ones, i.e. the ones inside the project folder, right?
Therefore I began reassigning the pictures to the ones copied in the pictures shared folder, and here begins to be a little bit illogical and difficult.
I deleted the pictures from the original project folder as I want to save the space and have, of course, the pictures only in the shared folder, however after I reassign the pictures to one of the topics, and I sync it, the pictures I deleted appear in the root folder of the project.
I wanted to have the "common" pictures (they appear in 2 different projects) only in the shared folder (declared as pictures folder in Resource Manager) because if I do a modification of one picture, I would like to have this modification propagated in the second project, right?
And also save some space, as it does not make any sense to me to have the same pictures in 2 places (double space consumed) when I can have them in only one folder.
I would like to know how I can avoid this recopying of the picture files in my project folder, if possible.
The procedure I used was:
1. Found out which are the common topics for the 2 projects and copied them in the Resource Manager shared folder for HTML files.
2. Found out which pictures were on those topics and copied them in the Resource Manger shared folder for pictures
3. I included the shared topics into the project, and reassigned the pictures to the ones that are in the Resource Manager shared pictures folder
4. I saved the topic, and did a sync in the Resource Manger
Did I do something wrong here?

The repository has all the images you may want to use in any of your projects or elsewhere.
Each time you link in a project, that image only is copied to the project, not the whole repository. If either copy changes, you are notified. You then have the choice of updating the out of date copy or breaking the link because for some reason you now want the difference.
Your statement "I saw that if I use an external directory to the actual project where I have pictures, RoboHelp will copy those into the project's folder" is not correct. The Resource pod will show all the images available in the repository but only the ones in used in the project are copied locally.

While checking some of my web sites firefox process will drop out to a low value and will take some time to get back to it's normal level on the task manager.

I just notice that nothing is downloading and I check the task manager and firefox has dropped to a low level. I do have dial up but this should not be the problem.
