    I got the error here below ... what i was trying to do is create a new folder however it's throwing out an error and not letting me do this .... any idea how i can fix this ? not sure why it's trying to access our "smam_apps" database since it's
    pretty much is an LOB database that has nothing to do with SQL Server Reporting services

    Hi
    the issue here is that one of the developers altered the procedure dbo.CreateObject proc which prevented the report manager from uploading (creating ) new reports to
    SQL Server .
    I restored the proc from another SSRS SQL Reporting Server and it fixed the issue.
    thanks

    I am attempting to generate the Pre-Migration Analysis Report using the OW2OIM Migration Tool but I'm getting the following error. All other objects are analyzed and reported correctly; this error occurs during the analysis of the user base. We have over 100K accounts within our QAT environment.
    I believe the issue could be with the allotted memory but I'm asking if anyone has experienced this and/or can provide any other ideas causing this issue. Thank you in advance.

    Update:
    Within the \config\xml\migration-config_PreMigrationAnalysis.xml configuration file you can control the buffering of records. I changed the buffer size from 15000 to 10 and now any object type with count over 10 fails on the 11th object of that type.
    Next step: Check the behaviour of the other configurations.

  • The migrated Crystal Report throws "The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect" error

    [ENVIRONMENT]
    Product version - BI4.1 SP03
    OS - Windows 2008 R2
    CMS Database - Oracle 11g
    Java Application Server - Tomcat7
    [ISSUE]
    Using the Upgrade Management Tool to completely migrate a BOXI3.1 SP3+FP3.6 to BI4.1 SP03.  The reporting database from both BOXI3.1 and BI4.1 are the same and so is the database logon credential.
    When viewing and refresh a migrated Crystal Report, it throws "The viewer could not process an event. The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect. [] ---- Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]" error in both BI Launchpad and "The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect" in scheduled job.
    [STEPS TAKEN]
    - Update the Database Configuration with the SAME Oracle database password in CMC and "The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect" issue goes away.
    I search the SAP SMP and SCN forum and found no reference on this UMT and Crystal Report database logon problem.  Hope any of you have seen this problem and share if there is an ADAPT for it.
    Thank you in advance,
    Jin-Chong

    Hi,
    The BI4.1 SP03 server and client and Crystal Report 2013 SP03 developer and Crystal Report for Enterprise 4.1 SP03 are all installed onto this Windows 2008 R2 server.
    I am able to open the migrated report from CMS repository in Crystal Report 2013 SP03 developer and am able to refresh it with database logon password provided.  After save it back to the Enterprise, the database logon password field for this report in CMC becomes empty so that I have to enter the database password and choose "Use same database logon as when report is run" when viewing and scheduling report.
    What is interesting to me is that the UMT seems to migrate the report along the database logon password because I can see the encrypted password in the report database logon property in CMC.  The workaround is to reenter the database logon password in the report database logon property in CMC.
    With this said, there are hundreds of the Crystal reports and the workaround would consume lots of manual work by update each report's database logon password in CMC.
    For other customers who have more crystal reports, I wonder if there is an automated way to update the crystal report's database logon password on BI4.1 or if this is an isolated incident on my new BI4.1 SP03 environment.
    I run UMT in command line to perform livetolive migration, and my steps are listed below
    cd "E:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\java\apps\upgradeManagementTool\jars\"
    "E:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\sapjvm\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx56g -Djava.library.path="..\..\..\..\win64_x64" -jar upgrademanagementtool.jar -internal_use_only_noversioncheck -responsefile LIVETOLIVEResponseFile.txt

  • Can OATM Lexer error be fixed in place or do I need to start over?

    Hi,
    I am doing some trial runs of OATM. I had registered CTXSYS to include it in the OATM migration and I was aware that I might hit some issues because I couldn't locate the drkorean.sql script and wanted to still keep moving. Sure enough, I am 99% complete but have these errors in the logs for several schemas.
    DRG-11422: linguistic initialization failed
    DRG-11446: supplied knowledge base file /sechi/oracle/product/112/ctx/data/enlx/droldUS.dat not installed
    DRG-10595: ALTER INDEX CS_INCIDENTS_ALL_TL_N1 failed
    DRG-50857: oracle error in drixmd.PurgeKGL
    ORA-20000: Oracle Text error:
    DRG-13201: KOREAN_LEXER is desupported
    ORA-30576: ConText Option dictionary loading error
    DRG-50610: internal error: kglpurge
    My longterm (real) fix will be to run drkorean.sql BEFORE the migration so as to not hit these errors in the first place.
    However, once I locate this script and run it, could I just restart OATM migration for those schemas in which I got this
    errror? Can i (I should I) bounce the DB inbetween?
    If not, I will just restore the whole DB from backup and restart, pretending it never happened. I just want to know if
    in-place fixes can be done in case I were to encounter some issue when going live during the live run.
    Thanks, Marv

    Thanks all.
    I bounced the DB again. Got the same issue. Despite the "error log report" not having every single schema at 100%, using other queries I could not find any object that had not been migrated, and the audit report said SUCCESS everywhere.
    A friend a colleague had a script to generate some manual migration commands and it came up with these...24 of them
    ALTER INDEX "HR"."IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX" REBUILD parameters ('replace storage APPS.TXN_IND_STORAGE_PREF') ;
    ALTER INDEX "HR"."IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX1" REBUILD parameters ('replace storage APPS.TXN_IND_STORAGE_PREF') ;
    .. another 22 commands
    and I ran them and they all worked, except for this one:
    ALTER INDEX "JTF"."JTF_AMV_ITEMS_URL_CTX" REBUILD parameters ('replace storage APPS.TXN_IND_STORAGE_PREF')
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-29874: warning in the execution of ODCIINDEXALTER routine
    ORA-29960: line 1,
    DRG-10595: ALTER INDEX JTF_AMV_ITEMS_URL_CTX failed
    DRG-10758: index owner does not have the privilege to use file or URL datastore
    But this error I saw before in another metalink note as ignorable so I am ignoring it and continuing..
    may not even have needed to do the above commands since everything was listed as having migrated, but all but 1 worked so continued (this is a PRE-CRP) so going to keep going...
    now doing the steps like resizing the old tablespace and dropping empty files... will see if the system
    At this point I'm just interested to see if the system will come up...

  • Oracle EBS 11.5.10.2 - OATM Migration

    Hi,
    One of our client has Oracle EBS 11i(11.5.10 & 9.2.0.5.0) [upgraded from 11.0.3].
    We are upgrading to 11.5.10.2 & 11gR2
    They didn't migrate to OATM when they upgraded from 11.0.3 to 11.5.10. There are 3 Non OATM tablespaces.
    I did the OATM migration (Test Upgrade) after upgrade to 11.5.10.2 & 11gR2 as documented in Note: 404954.1. The Migration Progress Report showed the following:
    Migration Progress Report

    Total No. Commands Commands % completion
    of commands in error in success of migration
    27,750 0 27,750 100%
    Does it mean the migration is successfull?
    After migration to OATM, the non-OATM tablespaces does not have any segments except SPACE HEADER(segment type) as documented in Note: 271866.1
    Can I consider the Migration to OATM is done?

  • No progress seen in OATM migration

    Hi Gurus,
    I am performing OATM migration on my 11.5.10.2 applications with 10.2.0.4 database.
    I see the status is 99.96% completed -
    Generating Migration progress report for all schemas. Please wait...

    COUNT(*)
    5067
    I see there are still 5067 commands with GENERATED status and which are yet to be executed. I have been waiting for almost a day and this 5067 count never reduces further.
    I even tried to restart the queue TBLMIG_MESSAGEQUE and bounced DB, then restarted OATM utility.. no luck though.
    Can some one help me on this please ?
    Thanks,
    Khan

    Hi Helios,
    The issue was fixed.
    All the left over commands in GENERATED status were to Enable constraint, policy, trigger, queues, etc.
    I executed the post migration script to to Enable constraint, policy, trigger, queues, etc which brought the count down.
    Thanks for the response Helios.

    Khan.

  • Migrating Crystal Reports Server XI to a new Server

    Post Author: david_okeefe

    Hi,I am trying to migrate an existing Crystal Reports installation from an old server to a new server.  To prevent interruption of service, the new server must be able to be online at the same time as the old server (thus it must have a different name).  I installed Crystal Reports Server XI and told it to create its CMS database by copying the existing CMS database.  Unfortunately, I received an unspecified error ("failed to received first object from source database").  After that, I opted to create a new, default CMS database.  I tried using the import wizard to migrate the reports to the new server.  The import wizard managed to bring over all of the folders, users, and groups, but not any of the reports.  When I looked at the migration log, it gave me an error stating that it could not find the parent folder.  I have no real idea how to address this issue.  On a related note, I also do not know how to point crystal at the reports repository on the new server.  I tried using the Data Source Migration wizard to copy the reports from the old server to the new server.  Unfortunately, it didn't appear to register any of the new reports.  Given what I have already tried, I am not sure how to proceed.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,David

  • Migrating Unmanaged Reports from CE 10 to Business Objects XI R2

    Hello all,
    We are in the process of migrating our report server from CE 10 to BOJ XI R2.
    I'm having issues trying to access Unmanaged Reports using a URL. In CE10 we were able to access unmanaged reports using a URL such as HTTP://<servername>/crystal/enterprise10/MyReport.rpt
    But now in BOJ XIR2, when accessing reports using an equivalent URL such as http://<servername>/businessobjects/MyReport.rpt
    or
    http://<servername>/businessobjects/enterprise115/MyReport.rpt I get the below error
    WCA plugin error
    Message:An exception has occurred in the plugin with message:
    Failed to initialize viewrpt component, with path
    <INSTALLDIR>/bobje/enterprise115/solaris_sparc/wcs/components/libwcs_xn_reportviewer.so.
    Component may be unavailable.
    Is this approach not supported now? I know that in CE10 this approach was deprecated but still supported ( as mentioned in note "1217747 - Unmanaged URL web reporting does not work in Crystal Reports 9 (and later) " )
    Or, is there something I'm doing wrong?
    Is there a simple work around, short of hosting all the reports on the enterprise server and using any SDK.
    Thanks for your help.
    PS:  I copied libwcs_xn_reportviewer.so from CE10 to the required dir in BOJ, and tried again. This time the library error was on another library. Error keeps cascading and I stopped. I know this is not the right approach, but this tells me they must have removed/changed this feature.
    Previous Setup that works
    Crystal Enterprise 10 on Solaris 8
    Sybase 12
    Weblogic

    The first thing you will want to do is to publish all of your reports to Business Objects XI and make sure they all still work. Obviously they won't have the dynamic parameters anymore but you should just ensure they all work and are able to connect to their databases. You can use a tool like the publishing wizard to help you.
    All the reports should now be available inside of XI.
    Unfortunately you will need to manually modify all of the 400 reports to use the business objects Dynamic Cascading Parameters DCP.
    There should be some DCP info in the Business Views documentation.
    I hope this helps

  • SQLDeveloper tool script execution aborts with Error report: No more data to read from socket

    Hello,
    Strange behaviour of  the SQLdeveloper tool while executing script with typical DDLs like:
    Create Table,
    Alter Table
    Create Trigger ( use of :new and : old attributes in tehe body of trigger ).
    Insert Into....
    Scripts works ok from time to time.
    But sometimes coincidentally aborts with the error :
    Error report:
    No more data to read from socket
    Do not understand where is the problem.
    Scripts works ok when executed in SQL*Plus on server ( where Oracle RDBMS resides ).
    The version of SQLDeveloper is
    Version 3.2.20.09 Build MAIN-09.87
    The version of RDBMS is  11.2.0.2.0 .
    Thanx for any reference or direction or hint for upgrade or experience.
    Greetings,

    Welcome to the forum!
    Please provide the 4 digit Oracle version (result of SELECT * FROM V$VERSION) for the source and target servers; 10g and 11g are not versions. You also mention sql developer so what is the exact version you are using?

    If delete the "OF out_a.ALLOCATION_ID" of the for update clause of CURSOR exist_allocation, this prolbem will not happen, and the code is comple succesfully on sql developer for oracle 10g.
    >
    Please clarify what works and what doesn't work because your statements are both incorrect and misleading.
    You can't delete the "OF out_a.ALLOCATION_ID" of the for update clause or you would get a syntax error by leaving FOR UPDATE OF with nothing specified after it.
    Also you original statement said
    >
    But when compile a package which is fine on oracle 10g
    >
    But now you say that if you delete the "OF..." the problem doesn't happen and the code compiles on 10g.
    Does the original code compile on 10g or not? Does it compile on 11g or not? After the original code is migrated to 11g does it compile? That is, the code is there can you manually compile it?

  • Error report:No more data to read from socket  when compile package

    We are going to migrate db from oracle 10g to oracle 11g. But when compile a package which is fine on oracle 10g, an exception "Error report:No more data to read from socket" throws on sql developer and break the connection. We have researched the issue and found if modify some code on a cursor, the issue will not happen.
    code:
    PROCEDURE DELETE_MANU_INTERV_BORROWS(
    p_borrow_id IN NUMBER,
    p_asset_id IN NUMBER,
    p_nsb_coll_type IN VARCHAR2,
    p_nsb_coll_code IN VARCHAR2,
    p_branch_code IN VARCHAR2,
    p_settle_date IN NUMBER,
    p_trans_type IN VARCHAR2,
    p_status OUT VARCHAR2,
    p_shorts_cursor OUT SYS_REFCURSOR
    IS
    var_end_settle_date GEC_IM_ORDER.SETTLE_DATE%type;
    CURSOR exist_allocation IS
    SELECT out_a.ALLOCATION_ID FROM
    GEC_ALLOCATION out_a,
    GEC_BORROW b,
    GEC_IM_ORDER o,
    GEC_TRADE_COUNTRY gc,
    (SELECT f.FUND_CD, f.BRANCH_CD, tc.TRADE_COUNTRY_CD, NVL(gc.COLLATERAL_CURRENCY_CD, gbk.COLLATERAL_CURRENCY_CD) as COLLATERAL_CURRENCY_CD
    FROM GEC_FUND f
    LEFT JOIN GEC_G1_BOOKING gbk ON f.fund_cd = gbk.fund_cd AND gbk.TRANSACTION_CD = 'G1L' AND gbk.POS_TYPE = 'NSB'
    LEFT JOIN GEC_G1_COLLATERAL gc ON gc.G1_BOOKING_ID = gbk.G1_BOOKING_ID
    LEFT JOIN GEC_TRADE_COUNTRY tc ON gc.TRADE_COUNTRY_CD = tc.TRADE_COUNTRY_CD
    ) loan_info
    WHERE b.BORROW_ID = out_a.BORROW_ID AND
    out_a.IM_ORDER_ID = o.IM_ORDER_ID AND
    o.FUND_CD = loan_info.FUND_CD AND
    o.ASSET_ID = p_asset_id AND
    gc.TRADE_COUNTRY_CD = o.TRADE_COUNTRY_CD AND
    o.TRANSACTION_CD = p_trans_type AND
    loan_info.COLLATERAL_CURRENCY_CD = p_nsb_coll_code AND
    loan_info.BRANCH_CD = p_branch_code AND
    o.SETTLE_DATE >= p_settle_date AND
    o.SETTLE_DATE <= var_end_settle_date AND
    b.STATUS = GEC_CONSTANTS_PKG.C_BORROW_MANUAL
    ORDER BY out_a.ALLOCATION_ID ASC
    FOR UPDATE OF out_a.ALLOCATION_ID;
    If delete the "OF out_a.ALLOCATION_ID" of the for update clause of CURSOR exist_allocation, this prolbem will not happen, and the code is comple succesfully on sql developer for oracle 10g.
    Does anybody have any idea? I've googled the similer problems but still can't find a clue. I'll appreciate any help.

  • SQL Developer Quick Migrate error

    I am attempting to migrate my databases from SQL Server 2000 to Oracle 11g. I am attempting to use the quick migrate feature of Oracle SQL Developer and receiving an error, the same error for every database during the build stage. The error is as follows. Any ideas as to resolve this error?
    Error starting at line 2 in command:
    CREATE TABLE EMPLOYEE (
    Error at Command Line:2 Column:23
    Error report:
    SQL Error: ORA-00904: : invalid identifier
    00904. 00000 - "%s: invalid identifier"
    *Cause:
    *Action:
    Commit
    Oracle 11g on Windows XP and version 1.2.1.32.13 of sql developer
    Brian

    Hi Brian,
    There are 2 ways to migrate your database to Oracle using SQL Developer.
    1)Normal Migration
    *This is the standard way of migrating a database
    2)Quick Migrate
    *Quick Migrate is basically the "Normal Migration" with all the defaults chosen and each phase capture/convert/generate  and data move performed for you.
    *Requires very little intervention and tries to complete the entire migration in 1 go.
    *Suitable for only small databases and trying out the tool
    *Does not allow you to modify anything during the migration
    "What do you mean perform the capture of the SQL Server DB then convert and generate? "
    I would suggest having a look at this viewlet. A SQL Server Migration ("Northwind") is performed.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/migration/workbench/viewlets/sqlserver.html
    The steps are outlined in the doc here
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10405_01/doc/appdev.120/e10406/migration.htm
    You can find more viewlets here
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/migration/workbench/files/sdmwb_viewlets.html
    And the main SQL Developer Migration Workbench OTN page (which links to everything) here
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/migration//workbench/index_sqldev_omwb.html
    So once, you capture/convert and generate your script to create your Oracle database. You should be able to identify the exact problem with the DDL.

    Dermot.
