    Oracle 11g - Objects Access ?
    =====================
    I hope this is the right forum for this issue, if not let me, where to go.
    We are using Oracle 11g (11.2.0.1.0) on (Platform : solaris[tm] oe (64-bit)), Sql Developer 3.0.04
    We have a Schema A with database objects.
    We need to provide access to another group on selective items.
    We need to provide Read access to one table (T1) of Schema A and Insert/Update access to another one (T2).
    If we create another user/schema B in our instance, they can see other than T1 and T2 of Sch A via other User Objects (via TOAD/SQL Developer etc) or using Database catalog.
    How do we hide our other objects for User/Schema B?
    Thanks in helping.

    With Oracle everything is prohibited; except that which is explicitly GRANTed.
    simply put SCHEMA_B has privs to see objects that are owned by SCHEMA_A.

  • JNDI NIS object access problem

    JNDI NIS object access problem:
    Hi all,
    After long fight, i'm now able to connect to my NIS server on my network. the initial context factory is 'com.sun.jndi.nis.NISCtxFactory' and provider url are given and i obtain namingennumeration of items in the NIS directory.
    purpose of my project:
    using ypcat command we can view the services,passwd,host... objects in unix.
    my project requirement is that i shd open this 'services' object in java (using JNDI probably) and shd access its content.
    i'm able to obtain the object and the type of this object is 'NISCtxServices' defined in 'com.sun.jndi.nis.NISCtxFactory' package, but all the classes and methods except some are not public and so im not able to use almost all the methods in this class 'NISCtxServices' .
    Can any one help me in accessing the information inside this object.
    Thanks in advance! and i'm waiting!

    It's because JFrame does not have a public progessbar variable, only your subclass has that.
    //change this
    JFrame frame = new ProgressBarDemo();
    //to this
    ProgressBarDemo frame = new ProgressBarDemo();

  • Getting the Object Access key

    This weird question,
    But does any one know how to get the object access key for Standard SAP object is changed..
    Normally when we try to do any modification on Standard SaP object it asks for and access key.. We need to enter it once, after which the object is open for editing.
    I have an SAP object which as been modified .
    I want to know that number?? Is it possible..
    Any help will be highly appreciated..
    Regards,
    Samir.

    Hi Samir,
    You have to contact SAP Support to obtain the access key for a Standard SAP Object. The correct channel for that is the OSS, where yo can raise a message requesting the same.
    But you are saying that there's one object that has already been modified. Who has done the modification ? When they have done it, they must have specified the access key. If you want to modify the same object, then the best thing for you to do is to contact the person who has changed it.
    By the way, have the modifications been done using the Modififcation Assistant?

  • Global Object Access Auditing test question

    Hello!
    There's a test question (N4) I'd like to have clearified:
    http://exam.test4actual.com/70-411.pdf
    Yes, D and F will enable auditing with no extra replication traffic, but enabling Global Object Acces Auditing will lead to auditing not only SYSVOL shares but to any others as well (http://blogs.technet.com/b/askds/archive/2011/03/10/global-object-access-auditing-is-magic.aspx)
    - is this replication traffic worth it???
    Thank you in advance,
    Michael

    Hi,
    For this question, the correct answer is DF, but we do not need to use Global Object Acces Auditing policy to audit SYSVOL shares.
    About the replication traffic, please refer to:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb742457.aspx
    Meanwhile, any changes made to SYSVOL are automatically replicated to the other domain controllers in the domain. If the files stored in SYSVOL change frequently, the replication increases the input and output for the volume where SYSVOL is located. For
    example, editing a GPO can potentially force a GPO-level replication. If the volume is also host to other system files, such as the directory database or the pagefile, then the increased input and output for the volume can impact the performance of the server.

  • SAP Business Objects Access control with BI4.1 and enterprise authetication

    Hi Team,
    We are on BI 4.1 with enterprise authentication. We are using IDM (oracle waveset 8) for access management. Currently we receive request from IDM and we manually configure user in BI4.1. We are now planning to automate this process, like as soon as user request place request through IDM , his access wil lget configure in BI 4.1
    can we achieve this using SAP Business Objects Access controle or with any other method ? Need your guidance
    Thanks,

    Hi Andrea,
    1. you configure the BOE Server with the SAP authentication for your SAP server
    1b you configure trust between the portal server and the SAP system
    2. you import the portal iView template as part of the SAP Kit into the portal server
    3. you create a new system (or use an existing one) in the portal system landscape and configure the properties of the Crystal Enterprise properties
    4. you create a new iView based on the portal iView template

  • Audit object access

    Hello,  I am trying to understand "Audit object access",  I have it turned on and I am capturing all Success and Failures of every file share I have on our File Server.
    However,  that is my issue.  I am capturing everything.   Is there a way to only capture certain file shares. I noticed that under the auditing tab,   its has "include inheritable auditing........"
    Example:
    In this example,  I want to capture successes and failures for all users who access Events and Images folders.
    \\Server1\Share1\Data1\Common\Reports\Events
    \\Server1\Share1\Data1\Common\Apps
    \\Server1\Share1\Data1\Images
    Thank you for your help. .

    Simply disable the current auditing on the root of your folders. Once done, enable it only on the folders you would like to audit.
    Reading such logs is usually a difficult task and time consuming. For that, it is recommended to use a third party tool with a UI for auditing. The one I usually recommend is Lepide Auditor for File Server: http://www.lepide.com/file-server-audit/

  • Problem identify OBJECTS access for a session

    Hi when a try to see what object is take to determined session the database hands consult and close conections. The select clause is "select OBJECT from v$access where SID=<NUM>", this sentence consuming big cpu time, all system have a high numer of the synonyms (23299).
    Why i can't get result this simple select?

    I am not licensed for AWR so I cannot tell you what to post; however, if the report is anything like statspack I would start by just posting the ratio and top waits on the first page or two providing you do not see any statistic that appears to be of interest. If you find something of interest I would try to find the related information and confine the post to that. Based on responses you can post more.
    I see from what you posted that your system appears to be using the PQO option. Make sure you are not overloading Oracle by trying to run an excessive number of PQO processes concurrently. PQO is brute force tuning and does not scale well, that is, the feature was not desiged for use on concurrent SQL.
    I have trouble reading unalligned numbers and I no longer tune databases very often but your reloads number appear high for the other values presented. Is the application written using bind variable or is it stringing together SQL with constant values and passing in new SQL all the time? If the application is using bind variables then the high reloads might indicate that the shared pool is too small forcing Oracle to flush SQL that it will later rerun too often.
    There are some shared pool sizing scripts on metalink you might want to run. The scripts over-estimate space requirements but can ball-park you in.
    From the information presented that is all that comes to mind.

    HI all,
    I am trying to access Master Data Vendor object form RFx. I was able to find a method to get the Vendor reference from Master Agreement using doc.getVendorRef().But i don't find any direct method to get VendorReference from RFx.
    Basically i got the Vendorlist from RFX using getVendorList() method (it returns RfxVendorIBeanIfc)and able iterate and get the each supplier. But unable to access Master Data Vendor Object. My requirement is need to access Master Data Vendor object from Rfx. Since RFx has multiple suppliers.

  • JNDI NIS object access problem: urgent help

    Hi all,
    After long fight, i'm now able to connect to my NIS server on my network. the initial context factory is 'com.sun.jndi.nis.NISCtxFactory' and provider url are given and i obtain namingennumeration of items in the NIS directory.
    purpose of my project:
    using ypcat command we can view the services,passwd,host... objects in unix.
    my project requirement is that i shd open this 'services' object in java (using JNDI probably) and shd access its content.
    i'm able to obtain the object and the type of this object is 'NISCtxServices' defined in 'com.sun.jndi.nis.NISCtxFactory' package, but all the classes and methods except some are not public and so im not able to use almost all the methods in this class 'NISCtxServices' .
    Can any one help me in accessing the information inside this object.
    Thanks in advance! and i'm waiting!

    It's because JFrame does not have a public progessbar variable, only your subclass has that.
    //change this
    JFrame frame = new ProgressBarDemo();
    //to this
    ProgressBarDemo frame = new ProgressBarDemo();

  • Business Object : access to object attribute in method

    Hi,
    i've created a BOR object named Z_myobject :
    - Attributs :
      . START_DATE (type SYST-DATUM)
      . END_DATE   (type SYST-DATUM)
      . MANAGER    (type BOR EMPLOYEET)
    - Methods
      . Check_actors
    In the Check_actors method i want to access to the MANAGER attribut. So, what i must do for this ? i've tried a lot solutions but no way.
    Best regards,

    Hi Samir, thanks for answer.
    i know this instruction and it's work well.
    I do that :
    BEGIN_METHOD MAIL_REMINDER CHANGING CONTAINER.
    DATA : wa_MANAGER   TYPE SWC_OBJECT.
    SWC_GET_PROPERTY self 'MANAGER' wa_MANAGER.
    END_METHOD.
    When i debug, my wa_MANAGER variable contains this :
    HEADER     C     4      OBJH
    TYPE     C     4      SWO
    HANDLE     I     4       100000004
    CB_INDEX     C     40
    Now, i want to access to attribute of the wa_MANAGER.

  • Problem restricting Integration Directory object access

    Hi All,
    We are trying to restrict access to a group of objects in the Integration directory. In the tab "Party" i select the option as follows:
    Selection Paths -
    Operator - Include, Party - Service without party, Service - BSR_TEST
    Objects -
    Operator - Include , Type = *, Action - Change
    However, this role when assigned to the user allows create and delete option as well. Also, if any other role is assigned to the user and then revoked, the restriction does not work (the role mentioned above gives an Insufficient authorization error even for the objects it is set to permit)
    Our XI system version is 7.0 with SP level 17.
    Thanks in advance for your inputs
    Vijaya

    Hi Abhishek,
    Thanks again for your response. However any ideas as to why the role would stop working f user settings are changed?
    Also, when i select the service using option - single selection and select multiple checkboxes (even 2) it does not work, where as if i add 2 rows with one value it is ok.
    Let me know if i am missing something
    Thanks
    Vijaya

  • Can Business Object Access Queries from the BI query designer?

    Hi Gurus,
    I've started working with BOBJ and honestly I'm not impressed with it's functionalities, specially with the report layouts (SO many limitations!!). Anyway I was wondering if Business Objects can access BI Queries in the Query Designer since I can do most of the manupilation in Query Designer that I need. Thank You in advance and any help will be most certainly appreciated.
    - Kit

    Hello KIT,
    Also, look at the below Blog for xcelsius where he directly consumes the BEx query the QUERY_VIEW_DATA Web service out of the BW system. This is one way to approach the BEx query:
