Hi ABAP Gurus .I have strange requirment ,since we implemented BBP ,In GL accounts when we press F4 ,we were getting unwanted data ,how to clear it ,i mean how to obstruct the unwanted data n allow only req data .

I think you have to play with search help exit. G/Ls use search help SAKO, there is a search help exit inside. The whole concept is fully documented in SAP, so you can have more info from SAPHelp.

I mistyped an entry (e.g., my name) in a specific field on a form I use often. Now, each time I begin to type my name in this field, it offers the previously mistyped entry as an option.
Question: How do I delete the unwanted mistyped entry as an option?

From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences and select the Autofill tab.
Click the Edit button next to Other forms, select the the data you want to remove and click Done.
Relaunch Safari.

Unwanted EKRS entries - ERS process

Hallo, my Friends.
We are in the middle of negotiating ERS process with our vendors in Mexico, legal considerations prevent us from using it "as is". The table EKRS has been populated for some time, the GR were cleared using MIRO.
My question is: can we somehow delete the EKRS entries safely? I have read through the forums that these entries mean no danger, that if the ERS process is run over entries already treated with MIRO, a zero value MM Invoice will be created without an FI effect, it's ok, yet, is this the only way to get rid of the EKRS entries?

I'm not sure I understand what the problem is. Are you saying that
   - a GR was done
   - entries placed on EKRS table
   - entries disappear from EKRS without executing MBER or MRRL?
Are you sure the entries are on the EKRS table at all?
Have you tried to reverse the GR and then do the GR again just to see what happens? Are you sure the line item is set up for ERS?

Unwanted Firefox entry in the Open With Windows Explorer menu

Open Windows Explorer and right-click various file types. You'll see there's a submenu called "Open with" that allows you to choose a particular application. Firefox is listed for numerous file types it can't actually handle, like RAR and MKV.
Does anyone know why? I've never attempted to open those file types with Firefox, though I did download such files with Firefox. I can't find any bug reports about this, and the above seems like too little information to file a report.
I'm not the only one with this issue:

After cleaning the registry manually, I haven't been able to trigger this.
* I now have RAR under Options → Applications again after downloading a file of that type. The respective file type doesn't have Firefox under the "Open with" menu in Windows Explorer.
* I set Firefox as the default browser when installing. Then I set Internet Explorer as the default using the Control Panel, then Firefox again when prompted at startup. Since it's one of the few times Firefox interacts with the registry, I thought it might trigger the issue — it didn't.
Since I can't recreate this, I think we can consider it a rare occurrence and forget about it. Thank you all for replying.

That's the bug report about Firefox inadvertently stealing the file association for PDFs. That didn't happen on my system. I also don't see how this could be related. The PDF association is set on install, and reinstalling Firefox didn't change the "Open with" list for the previously affected file types.
Then again, the patch on bug 1049521 touches the ''OpenWithList'' registry keys, which is what I manually cleaned up. It also handles more than PDFs: I spotted media file types like OG? and WEBM, but not MKV or any of the previously affected file types on my system.

Hi,
This is a rather common problem when configuring Scavenging and Aging of stale DNS entries. This has to be set in two spots, not just one as so many admins have difficulties with. It isn't very obvious.
Aging and Scavenging must be set on both the DNS Server and on the Zone
that you want to clean. In addition, DNS needs to be Active Directory integrated and resource records need to be dynamically registered. Static entries are ignorned.
First step:
To set aging and scavenging properties for the DNS Zones using the Windows interface
Open DNS Manager.
In the console tree, right-click the applicable DNS server, and then click
Set Aging/Scavenging for all zones.
Select the Scavenge stale resource records check box.
Modify other aging and scavenging properties as needed.
Second Step:
To set aging and scavenging properties for the DNS Server using the Windows interface
Open DNS Manager.
In the console tree, right-click the applicable DNS server, and then click
Properties.
Select the Advanced tab,and then enable Enable automatic scavenging of stale records
check box. Once done, specify the Scavenging period (That is recurring
interval for Scavenging on a DNS server) and click on OK
That will do it. Your DNS entries will then start auto scavenging based on the times you have determined. Word of caution - do not set your aging too aggressively - I have seen where an admin had set aging down to 1 day and when it finally kicked
off, nearly brought the company to a halt.

Free time entries on calendar

Just spent 2 hours on the help line getting my 8530 Curve to sync, but it put daily calendar entries of 9-5 Free Time. Tried to delete all calendar entried on the DeskTop Manager, but it doesn't delete these. Any advice on how to delete these unwanted calendar entries?

Check that time is same in PC and phone. Check also time zones and daylight saving settings.

Calendar problem - recurring entries

Since downloading 4.7 to solve another problem, Outlook entries that were previously "1 day" recurring entries (i.e., birthdays), now span 2 days and say 6:00 am to 6 am. This in turn, has been taken up by Outlook on my computer. Help!

Yes, I have this problem. In my case, it appears as unwanted recurring entries on iCal, which are not there on the iPhone.
There's major problems with synching iPhones with iCal via iTunes. Apple have told me that they do not advise this route (USB/iTunes) for iOS4 iPhones synching with iCal, instead they advise over-the-air synching via MobileMe (but that is fraught with problems too).

Custom Distribution Group management role (manager excpeiton)

My organization is medium size with multiple support groups (15+) that each support a subset of users (350+). I want to create a management role that is scoped so each support group can manage the distribution groups in their respective OU space.
By manage I mean edit the group membership. I realize I can achieve this with AD permissions but I’d like to achieve this in a way that leverages RBAC so the support groups can use OWA. I also want to leverage RBAC\OWA because not all my support groups are
technical, some are office admins. Anyways, below is what I’ve tried in my lab scoped to one of my support groups.
Using the cmdlets below I’ve created a custom management scope, role and group. However, this does not work. While it lets my sales support group view and edit some random attributes on the group, it fails when they try to edit the group membership. In other
words, they can logon to OWA, click options\see all options\manage your organization\distribution groups\open the group\edit description etc. but when they select “Add…” under membership then select the user and hit ok\save they get the error “you don’t have
sufficient permissions. this operation can only be performed by a manger of the group”.

When I do as the error asks (i.e. add my support user as a manager of the group via the EMC), then my support user is able to edit the group's membership in OWA. The problem with this solution is that it would require me to add my support users to my role
group “Sales Support DG MGroup” AND as a manager of the DG and every DG that is created down the line. Not ideal. Any ideas, some RBAC magic I’m missing?

I understand that you have create custom management scope for each group and assigned a custom role to it.
But whenever user try to edit (add/remove membership ) ,it shows errors "you dont have sufficient permissions". I face similar problem when we move from 2007 to 2010, 2010 by default disabled editing options for Dl membership.
You can enable it by Graphic mode or powershell. Would suggest that you have created custom role, you follow powershell mode. I had written a blog on that.

You have created new management role “Sales Support DG MRole”, but you need to assign this role to users/administrators in your case through role assignment policy.
You can either use existing default policy or create new policy and assign this management role to it.
Use below cmd: New-ManagementRoleAssignment -Role “Sales Support DG MRole” –Policy “Default Role Assignment Policy”
NOTE: If you are creating new policy , place that name instead of default policy name".
I recommend you continue with defalut policy. After this check with any admin, he should have rights to edit membership.
Now, regarding your second concern, that your custon role has to many role entries.
You can remove unwanted role entries.
Use this cmd: Get-ManagemenRoleEntry “Sales Support DG MRole\*” | where{ $_.name –like “Set-distributionGroup” } | remove-managementroleentry
Before linking management role to email policy, remove unwanted role entry from role.

Quotation is appearing in Billing due list: VF04

I am facing an issue with VF04. I am using a scrap process: Quotation --> Order --> Invoice. Now when I am using VF04 for Order related billing, Quotations are appearing in billing due list which should not be. Please guide me how can I resolve this issue.

In the standard system the item category AGN is NOT relevant for billing.
You can check in your client 000 to confirm it it delivered with no billing
relevance in VOV7.
If it was set to billing rel 'B' when the quotation was created then that document
will have a billing relevance (VBAP-FKREL = 'B') in this case changing the
billing relevance in VOV7 will not correct that document in retrospect.
When the VBAP-FKREL is filled then a billing index will be generated for
the line. You can check this in table VKDFS. When you have an entry in
table VKDFS the document will automatically appear in VF04.
You have to
1) correct the customising TVAP-FKREL = ' '.
2) Adapt the billing relevance in existing documents to current customizing
See report ZZFKREL0 from note 127514.
3) Run RVV05IVB to remove the unwanted VKDFS entries

PE13 (or PE11) won't open on new Win7 Build

Built a new Window 7 64 bit PC and loaded PE11. Photoshop Elements and Organizer will function but Premiere Elements 11 will not open. Uninstalled and Re-installed to no avail. Uninstalled and re-installed trial version of PE11 from Adobe website. Installed trial version of PE13 from adobe website.
- PE11 and PE13 to this point behave the same
- Neither PE11 or PE13 will open using an administrator account; neither the welcome page application (Adobe Premiere Elements xx) nor the standalone application (Adobe Premiere Elements) will open
- Neither when clicked show up in taskmanager process window
- I've read through several threads here and
- reviewed hosts file for unwanted adobe entries
- renamed Slcache and SLstore folders
- I've run sfc /scanow checking for windows errors
- I've ran windows 7 repair with no issues
- All windows 7, quicktime and all drivers appear to be up to date
- I've killed every process I could in taskmgr and then tried to open PE11 or PE13 to no avail

In order to test the problem, I think my suggestion is better; at least as a first try. Without Firefox running and without ~/.mozilla; no misconfiguration should prevent Firefox to run. The options you suggest will try to disable any problematic configuration. It can be usefull if you need to start Firefox to fix a configuration problem; but as a firt try renaming the ~/.mozilla is better because you are sure that Firefox can't read anything that can hurt it. Only after having figured out that a bad ~/.mozilla is the cause of the problem, we can try to fix the configuration (or restart with a new configuration).

How prevent typoes reappearg in drop-downs.

Sometimes I make a typo error filling in an entry, like my email address, or a topic, etc. Then when I encounter that space again and I start to type a similar, but spelled right, entry, the drop-down will appear usually with my correct spelling but also with my previous unwanteds &/or errors.
It seems like once I make an error in one of these spaces I am doomed to see it shoved in my face everytime I return, forever.
Is there any way to erase and delete these unwanted old entries so they don't keep haunting me in the drop downs?

Kinda disappointed that my current typoes plaguing me will eventually work themselves down and off the list. All I got to do is make some more entries? more typoes to shove the old typoes out of sight. I may tryy that.
And I don't know much about cache, to me my cache ain't nothing but trash, and I looked at the site for cache cleaning but I'm not very hopeful that i can study and learn up on it even if I did download that applic.
I was hoping for something simpler.
Or am i just being unrealistic and too hopeful for
a much easier solution.

Help...Has my mac's security been compromised?

Our internet went down so I reset modem and router. Router then renamed itself and old pw did not work. I contacted the company of the 3-yr-old router and was told that our Mac had the following: location is exposed, blocked process, lmpsu.exe,error, malware and suspicious files detected, corrupt and unwanted registry entries, bad sectors, corrupt files, etc. The company then said it could fix for $389. When I said no and that I wanted to contact Apple Support, the rep became slightly rude. I tried to contact Apple Support, but my Mac is no longer covered. I will pay a one-time fee if necessary, but thought I would start with the Apple Community. My software,etc.,is up to date, I checked in applications for any malware, and I purchased a new router. A final note...when I look at the System Profiler, is there any reason why it would show a Samson Android under network locations? If my son has a Samson Rugby (everyone else has I-Phones), would it show up here even though he is away at school. Thanks to anyone who can help!!!

If you know or suspect that a hostile intruder has either had physical access to the computer, or has been able to log in remotely, then there are some steps you should take to make sure that the computer is safe to use.
First, depending on the circumstances, computer tampering may be a crime, a civil wrong, or both. If there's any chance that the matter will be the subject of legal action, then you should do nothing at all without consulting a lawyer or the police. The computer would be the principal evidence in such a case, and you don't want to contaminate that evidence.
Running any kind of "anti-virus" software is pointless. If I broke into a system and wanted to leave a back door, I could do it in a way that would be undetectable by those means—and I don't pretend to any special skill as a hacker. You have to assume that any intruder can do the same. Commercial keylogging software—which has legitimate as well as illegitimate uses—won't be recognized as malware, because it's not malware.
The only way you can be sure that the computer is not compromised is to erase at least the startup volume and restore it to something like the status quo ante. The easiest approach is to recover the entire system from a backup that predates the attack. Obviously, that's only practical if you know when the attack took place, and it was recent, and you have such a backup. You will lose all changes to data, such as email, that were made after the time of the snapshot. Some of those changes can be restored from a later backup.
If you don't know when the attack happened, or if it was too long ago for a complete rollback to be feasible, then you should erase and install OS X. If you don't already have at least two complete, independent backups of all data, then you must make them first. One backup is not enough to be safe.
When you restart after the installation, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process for a new computer. That’s when you transfer the data from a backup in Setup Assistant.
Select only users in the Setup Assistant dialog—not Applications, Other files and folders, or Computer & Network Settings. Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled.
Reinstall third-party software from original media or fresh downloads—not from a backup, which may be contaminated.
Unless you were the target of an improbably sophisticated attack, this procedure will leave you with a clean system. If you have reason to think that you were the target of a sophisticated attack, then you need expert help.
That being done, change all Internet passwords and check all financial accounts for unauthorized transactions. Do this after the system has been secured, not before.

BW System copy from PRD to DEV - Reduce database size

Hi All
We are in the process of copying our existing Production BW system (3.5) to become a new Development & test system. We want to reduce the database size significantly from 1.4 Tb to about 150 - 200 Gb. We have deleted all cube and ODS data as well as much of the master data but still have much tablespace tied up in monitor entries (eg table RSMONMESS) and IDOCs. All of the notes I read say that we cannot delete from RSMONMESS in a "Prodcution" environment, however we are creating a new DEV system and really need to get rid of monitor entries anyway. So there are two questions:
1. Any idea how we can clear up table RSMONMESS or delete unwanted monitor entries ?
2. How can we delete IDOCs copied from our production system without archiving them ? (They are of no use in our new test system.)
Please help.

example, table RSSELDONE) continuously increase in size in the BW system
with each request that is created.
Currently there is no option to reduce these tables.
Do not delete any entries from these tables. If you did, this would have
the following consequences:
When you carry out the next check for the requests for which you have
deleted records from these tables, the check will not run properly.
The status of the relevant requests turns RED in the monitor, and also in
all affected data targets that contain the request.
The affected request and all subsequent requests are no longer visible in
the reporting - all queries on the affected data targets then only display
old data.
Numerous dumps will occur in various situations.
You will not be able to repair the errors caused by the deletion.

This is caused by a program error.
Solution
In the next BW release (BI in SAP NetWeaver 2004s - that is BW 7.0), you
will be able to archive entries from the RSMON* and RS*DONE tables using a
request archiving process that archives the administrative information for
requests.
After archiving, these tables are then considerably reduced in size.
Until then, there is unfortunately no option for reducing the tables.

NEEDED: Application to EDIT iPhone Contacts

Is there an iPhone application which allows EASY editing,deletion of iPhone contacts?
Because of something amiss in Address Book, importing rogue email addresses into the Address Book, my iPhone grabbed hundreds if not thousands of unwanted contact entries into my new iPhone when I synced it last week.
I NEED to get rid of them.
The method to delete contacts build into the iPhone is Awfully inefficient, requiring too many taps and scrolling to find the red Delete Button.
Is there any third party application which allows easier and even batch deletion?
I envision an application which might list all the contacts and let me zap them singly or in batches from that list.
Does anyone know if such a contact editor exists?

Speed Name from Silverware will do what you want. You can check a bunch of names, then delete all at once.

If I understand your suggestion correctly, I have compared my hosts file entry with the link you provided:

Let us look at the hosts file and inspect its content for unwanted/unexpected entries.
STEP 1
Find the hosts file. In Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit, the hosts file is found in the path
Local Disk C
Windows
System32
drivers
etc
and in the etc Folder is the hosts file
STEP 2
Right click the hosts file, select Open, and then Notepad. Open the hosts file's Notepad document.
Do you see anything below the last line in the default hosts file as shown in the screenshot?
(Always backup the hosts file before editing it.)
