ODQ Delimted loader connection validation issue.

I am new to ODQ . I installed ODI/ODP/ODQ complete setup (Both Client & Server) at my personal laptop and started practicing the ODQ tutorial avaliable on oracle website. I login to metabase manger with madmin , created metabase oracledq , created the user demo and mapped it with the metabase oracledq and create a delimited loader connection to access files in a folder. I then logged in to ODQ Interface with demo user. All was well tell this point
To create entity , i selected the delimted loader , specified * as filter and enter username demo and its password in connection validation section , it failed on next button with error "Authentication failed. su: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." I created a user demo on my machine with the same credentials as was defined in metabase manager and this time the error message changed to "Authentication failed. su: Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer." I assigned demo user to administrator group , power user group and also give it full access on the directory in which i have the files but in vain .
I search the error and got a suggestion from a networking forum to install Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools and execute the following command
net user demo /active:yes
ntrights +r SeNetworkLogonRight -u demo
ntrights -r SeDenyNetworkLogonRight -u demo
But no sucess.
Kindly share if some one have the solution for this issues. Seems some access right issue which i am not able to fix
Thank in advance.

tutorial demo is not required username/password...

  • My Internet Connection Dropping Issues...

    I too am having the occasional Internet connection dropping issues.  Phone and TV continue to work.
    Since I had Fios installed last November I am on my third ONT and 2nd router.  When I called in my latest drop yesterday the call center person told me I had a hardware issue because my computer had a valid IP address assigned.  I tried to teach her something about DHCP but she would not listen to me.  I asked her to please reboot the ONT and she refused because "nothing was indicating a problem with it".  Whatever...
    Each time the Internet goes out the router acts fat and happy.  I have full green on WAN Coax, and strangely enough, a flashing green Internet activity indicator.  Logging into the router shows that I am MOCA connected and assigned a WAN IP address.  But I can't get out past the router at all.  On the event that led to me getting a replacement router the lady said she could talk to the ONT just fine, but not the router.  We reset the router and ONT port numerous times and the connection finally came back up.
    I am not sure of the protocol between the ONT and router, but I think the ONT is keeping enough signal going to make the router "think" its happy, but then the ONT is not passing packets at some point.  After yesterdays call and the refusal to reset the ONT I just hung up on her and reset it myself.  Of course everything started working just fine...like I thought it would.
    So what is the issue here?  Is MOCA a mess?  Is an Ethernet connection to the ONT better?  I am utterly disgusted with this miserable system and can't afford to continue having these outages.
    I should also add the other wonderful features I have seen.  When I tried to powercycle the *new* router yesterday it decided to dump its entire config including my port forwarding.  Nice...  And I have given up using wireless because if I set the router for WPA it locks up so hard that it takes a master reset to get going again.
    Anyone have some advice on getting this system stable?

    I would try using a non-verizon router.  I used the Netgear router and it fixed my problem.  The Verizon router seem to be pieces of garbage and they over-hear.

  • Failed to load Connection...

    Dear all,
    Now that I'm able to use and publish my projects properly, I'm facing a "Failed to load connection" on my first report, on my production machine.
    I'm using on my development machine SQL Server Express, and getting connected via an ODBC connection for my Web .NET project. This works fine, but on my production machine, although I have created the same ODBC connection (same name, same sql instance) the error "Failed to load Connection" is raised.
    "GabillySAS" is the name of the ODBC connection. I've used the Help file provided for Crystal Report 2008 with Visual Studio 2008, so the code is  :
    private void Page_Init(object sender, EventArgs e)
              ConfigureCrystalReports();
           private void ConfigureCrystalReports()
                CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = Server.MapPath("\\content\\heures\\rapports\\"+Request.QueryString["id"]);
                ConnectionInfo connectionInfo = new ConnectionInfo();
                SetDBLogonForReport(connectionInfo);
                connectionInfo.DatabaseName = "GabillySAS";
                connectionInfo.UserID = "----";
                connectionInfo.Password = "-----";
            private void SetDBLogonForReport(ConnectionInfo connectionInfo)
                TableLogOnInfos tableLogOnInfos = CrystalReportViewer1.LogOnInfo;
                foreach (TableLogOnInfo logOnInfo in tableLogOnInfos)
                    logOnInfo.ConnectionInfo = connectionInfo;

    Hello. Victor;
    I see two things that may be the issue.
    1. You appear to pass the ODBC DSN name to the Database property
    2. Fill the ConnectionInfo variables before passing to LogonInfo.
    It should be:
    public partial class _Default : System.Web.UI.Page
        private void ConfigureCrystalReports()
            ConnectionInfo connectionInfo = new ConnectionInfo();
            connectionInfo.ServerName = "DSNname";    //ODBC DSN
            connectionInfo.DatabaseName = "DBname"; //e.g. Northwind
            connectionInfo.UserID = "userID";
            connectionInfo.Password = "password";
            string reportPath = Server.MapPath("ODBCconnection.rpt");
            crystalReportViewer.ReportSource = reportPath;
            SetDBLogonForReport(connectionInfo);
        private void Page_Init(object sender, EventArgs e)
            ConfigureCrystalReports();
        private void SetDBLogonForReport(ConnectionInfo connectionInfo)
            TableLogOnInfos tableLogOnInfos = crystalReportViewer.LogOnInfo;
            foreach (TableLogOnInfo tableLogOnInfo in tableLogOnInfos)
                tableLogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo = connectionInfo;
    Does that work as you expect?

  • Cannot create a file Loader Connection for Linux

    Im using ODQ 11.1.1.3 with the server installed on Linux and client on Windows.
    I have created a directory on the server for all my data files. The user (oracle) that starts the scheduler has full read write access to these directories.
    In Metabase Manager I try and create a delimiter loader connection specify the linux directory location (/u02/oracle/data/tss). I get no error from the client and no error in the mtb_server.log file.
    I have looked at the documentation http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/core.1111/e16453/odpinstalling.htm#BCGDJHIH, what seems strange is that it tells you to create a user and this is how it is accessed but it does not tell you how to link the metabase manager to that user, or am I missing something.
    any help greatly appreciated.
    cheers
    James

    Hi Yeswanth
    Then you can try with a "Add Counter". This will create new file each time with the same name but a counter will be added to the file name at the end specifying the number of times it is created.
    You can also the specify the format to create the counter once select this option u can correspondingly fill the Format and step fields.
    Will this be fine.
    Regards
    Ashmi

    Hello,
    thanks for your contribution. But how I already said we have seen that the first error message:
    The error is: javax.servlet.UnavailableException: Cannot load a validator resource from '/WEB-INF/validator-rules.xml,/WEB-INF/validation.xml'
    But behind that message is an additional message that describes the real root cause of the problem:
    SEVERE: Cannot find resource "org/apache/commons/digester/xmlrules/digester-rules.dtd"
    org.apache.commons.digester.xmlrules.XmlLoadException: Cannot find resource
    "org/apache/commons/digester/xmlrules/digester-rules.dtd"
    Unfortunately we have no idea why the dtd file can not be loaded. The appropriate line of code is:
    getClass().getResourceAsStream("<link_to_resource")
    And this returns a NULL object. The NULL object causes the general exception and finishes the instantiation of Struts.
    Any additonal hints?
    Regards, Maik

  • Struts automatic Validator issue

    Hi,
    I am new to struts. I was trying to use the automatic validation for my application. I guess I have followed all the steps mentioned in the help documents from struts. Still I ma getting the following error while starting the JBoss server. Could anyone tell me what could be the reason?
    If I am not wrong, the issue might be with commos-validator.jar or any other jar file? If so please let me know the correct version & the URL to download the same.

    You should use the jars provided on the struts framework homepage. A nice tutorial about validation in struts can be find here: http://courses.coreservlets.com/Course-Materials/pdf/struts/09-Struts-Automatic-Validation.pdf
    Check that tutorial to see if you've done everithing well.

  • Error When Creating Entities From Loader Connection In Oracle Data Quality

    I want to create a Loader Connection to an external data source.
    I Logged on the Metabase Manager and created a new loader connection with type as 'Oracle'.
    In the parameters it asked for a TNS Name.I gave the TNS of the external data source to which i want to connect from 'tnsnames.ora' file.
    After that I logged on to ODQ and tried creating an Entity using create entity wizard but ODQ cannot connect to the data source using the above created Loader Connection.
    It shows below failure message:
    Authentication failed. couldn't load library "C:/OraHome_1/oracledq/metabase_server/lib/pkgOracleAdapter/pkgOracleAdapter.dll": could not find specified procedure
    I had my ODQ metabase and ODQ GUI running on Windows.
    Hope i am clear.if i am making mistake in above steps please let me know.
    Waiting for reply.

  • ODI Data Quality metabase Load connections

    Hi Guys
    I am trying to get started with ODI data quality and profiling. I would like to connect from the ODI metabase manager load connections to the database on my local machine using the following
    username: thiza
    Password:
    url:10.12.12.12:1521:EDW
    The problem is ODI metabase manager requirs tns name. I tried to put the following string on the tns but still not working
    EDW=(DESCRIPTION =(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = tvictor-za)(PORT = 1521))(CONNECT_DATA =(SERVER = DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME = EDW)))
    Can anyone give step by step on how to connect to oracle database from ODI metabase manager(load connections)
    any help will be highyl appreciated.
    Thanks
    Umapada
    I tried to put the following string on the tns but still not working
    only "EDW" in place of TNS Name in metabase administrator. But when testing the connection at the time of creating entity, it is saying "Please wait, Validating Connection" but this wait never ends and continues for hour.

    Seems following shared library is missing. Dont know how to get it from Oracle?
    Has anybody found this problem earlier.

    If you are trying to connect to an oracle box. Try to do this. Worked for me.
    Go to add loader connections.
    And instead of pasting the entire string. Try to use only the name of the TNS.
    In your case this would be EDW.
    Once added save your metabase connections and go into the data quality and profiling part.
    Type in the name of the metabase u recently created, along with the user name and password.
    It should log you on. Worked for me. I have tried a lot of oracle connections. But the only problem for me is that i have never been able to configure a ODBC loader connections with SQL server.
    Hope this helps.

  • Using Tabs in Generated Pages - Validation Issue

    Hi,
    We're using JHS 10.1.3.0.97 and are using the "stacked" regions functionality
    to make the form less cluttered.
    The problem we're having now is that whenever a user wants to
    view the items on a tab (that is not currently the selected one),
    a validation issue is thrown saying that all the mandatory fields need to be entered first.
    Is there a way to avoid this message and postpone the validation until the
    user clicks on the "Save" button?
    Regards,
    Cliff

    Cliff,
    I am sorry, in the 10.1.3.1 release we switch off server-side model validation on a partial page request.
    It is not possible to switch off the client-side validation, because the only way to do this, is by setting immediate=true on the tabs. However, with this setting JSF will skip the Model Update phase, which means that any changes you made to the tab region you are going to leave by clicking another tab, would be lost.
    The only alternative is by creatign a custom templates and generating the required items with showRequired="true" instead of required="true" which means required items are never checked client-side.

  • Connection pool issues with Mysql

    Hi,
    I have defined sufficient read connections (50) in the toplink configuration, I am finding toplink is not releasing the connections in Mysql, this is when run from Jboss App server.
    Is anyone aware of toplink connection pool issues with MySql?
    thanks

    TopLink always closes connections, I cannot see how this could occur.
    Please include your persistence.xml or sessions.xml. Also ensure you are closing your EntityManager or ClientSession, especially if using exclusive connections.
    Also include the exception you are getting.

    I cannot browse almost any website without receiving this error. I've tried the adjusting the date/clock and I've deleting the cert8. data in the profile for firefox. Nothing is working.
    Also, when I view certificates, it says that it won't be enabled until 7/21/2014?? What's up with that?
    Can anyone please help me...?

    You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
    *Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
    Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
    *Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
    You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
    If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
    *Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
    *Note that it is not recommended to add a permanent exception in cases like this, so only use it to inspect the certificate.
