Offline issues

how do you get your ipod offline back online?

Have you tried resetting your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds?  It might also help to reset your iPod Touch's network settings.  Head to Settings -> General -> Reset and tap Reset network settings.

    Windows 8.1: Printer Offline Issue
If you have seen issues where your laptops/tablets has been taken from a private (home) network to a public network  and then not been able to print when returning back to your private (home) network.  This is most likely due to the public network settings not being reset back to the private (home) network settings.  If this sounds like an issue you are having- try resetting your network settings by following the steps in the documents linked here:
For Ink Printers, please visit this document to help resolve your issue:

HP Laserjet - Printer offline and unable to print on a network in Windows 8.1
Install this Microsoft patch to make sure this private-public-private network issue does not reoccur. It is part of the April 2014 Windows Update package for Windows 8.1 and Server2012 R2 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2919355).
If you experience this issue before you apply the patch, you must manually reset your network settings for this patch to function. Please refer to the above documents for manual reset help.

    Hello All,
The printer goes offline due to proper driver is not installed correctly or if the printer port is not selected correctly.
I would suggest that you check the printer port (if the printer is connected via USB then chck if you have selected USB001,002... OR DOT), if the printer is connected via Network then check if the printer is selected via TCP/IP and then check the results.
Alternatively, you may uninstall and reinstall the driver and then check the results.

  • Printer offline issues

    Hi all,
3.4 GHz iMac running 10.6.8.  Software update current.
Epson NX430 (new) connected via wifi.  All installation, including downloading the current drivers from Epson, went smoothly.  Printing and scanning wirelessly does indeed work.  But...
After a while, the printer, or the Mac printing system, sends the printer "offline."  When I send a document to the printer, I get a warning icon from the print monitor, and the NX430 print monitor window says "Looking for printer.... printer offline."
The quick fix for this is to power cycle the printer (obviously a pain).  Interestingly, this was the same issue I had with the HP Photosmart 4400 device that the Epson replaced. That HP printer was hooked up via USB, but didn't scan except to PCs, so the switch was to fix that and hopefully also fix the printer offline issue at the same time. But this experience leads me to think that the problem is with the OS, and not the printer.
Other things I have tried:  Restarting the iMac.  Deleting and re-adding printer.  Resetting the printing system (this worked for a few days, I think, although it is hard to be sure of cause and effect). Checking the network connections -- printer and gateway IP addresses are correct, and even when getting the printer offline message, I can successfully ping the printer.
One more thing.  When the system is in this "printer offline" state, trying to activate either the printer utility, or check supply levels, results in an error message, even though I have verified network connectivity with a ping test.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Dave

With the ping getting a response from the printer it would suggest that the symptom is not network related but more to do with the supporting software, or more so with the protocols it uses to communicate with the printer. I would guess that the printer supports Bonjour and you would have added the printer by opening the Default Add Printer view and selecting the printer that was shown in this view. If this was the case then a suggestion would be to look at using an alternate protocol for the print queue, providing the printer does support such an option. If you can check the network settings for the printer there may be the option to use/enable print protocols such as LPR. With this active, the printer can be added using IP > LPD. This requires you to enter the IP address of the printer and then browse for the printer driver.
If such an option to use an alternate print protocol does not exist then something else you can test when the printer goes offline is the scanning. Does this also fail?
And can you confirm? You said you had to power cycle the HP to get it working again. Do you have to do the same with the Epson to get it printing again?

  • Media offline issue in premiere cs6

I recently had my copy of Premiere CS6 fixed due to a handlertitler.dll problem. However, when it was finally fixed there was some playback issues, and about a third of my media is offline. How do I relink the media to where I can hear and see my video on Premiere CS6?

Media Offline is most often caused by the links to it, which are absolute Paths, being changed. It could be a drive letter, a file Rename, or similar.
I agree with Jim, that the best course of action is to let PrPro relink that media, when it asks "Where is file ____ ?" This article goes into more detail: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4598705#4598705
    Good luck,

PS - if you have not Moved, or Renamed anything, I would definitely check my HDD's, to make sure that they are functioning at 100%.

  • WAE FTP and offline Issue

Thank you for all the help in advance,
    Soofi

    Hi Soofi,
When you disable WCCP through the CLI, there is a graceful shut down period during which existing connections will continue to be handled by WAAS while new connections will be returned to the intercepting device for normal forwarding.  Once the graceful shutdown period as expired, optimized connections will be reset while pass-through connections will continue to flow normally.  Once you re-enable WCCP, existing connections will be handled as pass-through, while new connections will be optimized.
For the upgrade problem you are having, how are you trying to copying the image to the CM?  Can you please provide the exact steps you are taking?
    Thanks,
    Zach

  • 2540 2nd controller offline issue

I see some others had the same issue but I don't see the solution.
The array is new. It has 2 controller boards and 12 disks. When the array is powered on controller B fails to configure. It looks like it is powering up but then the service light comes on and the ether port shuts down. If I remove controller A and insert controller B in its place it powers up but CAM can't find it and the serial service port is for the most part dead(set baud rate only).
Now if I remove all the disks and have controller B present the controller appears to be happy and is able to communicate with CAM. Now if I power off with B in A's slot and insert controller A into B's slot still with all the disks removed, at power on controller B offlines itself. I have tested this with another controller and the same thing happens.
It appears original controller A always captures the primary role and offlines the other controller regardless of the slot placement.

    -------ISSUE RESOLVED-------
This happens to be a configuration within the array. As it turned out SUN ships arrays as a single controller configuration or a dual controller configuration. If an array is ordered as a single config the array is preset to ignore the second controller. In my case the vendor sent us a single array configuration and a second controller to be installed.
To gain access to the second controller the array needs to be placed in a duplex controller setting. This can be done using the "SEVICE ADVISOR" of the CAM software. There is a section in the advisor for "X-Options" and in this section there is a topic of "Converting a Simplex Tray to a Duplex Tray". It will walk through the configuration change.

  • Media offline issue

    Hi,
Yesterday as I was editing and my hard drive got disconnected on accident. Now all the media plays ok and shows up in the timeline/bin but the media registers in the bin and timeline as being offline (even though it plays fine) which at first seemed to not be problematic but now I am told I won't be able to export anything. I was also told that it has to do with some corrupt file that needs to be deleted somewhere... does anyone have any experience with this issue? I need to figure this out ASAP.
    Thanks!
    Josh

Have you tried reconnecting the media? Most likely it plays in the Timeline because it's referencing render files.

  • Feedback Request: iOS Offline Issues

    Hello everyone! Spotify here.
We are looking into customer reports about issues with offlined playlists on iOS devices (music which is downloaded to your phone so you can play without an internet connection). Our investigation shows that some folks might have experienced some issues with this so we were hoping you could answer some questions to help us diagnose the problem.
    1. Have you made a playlist available offline which you could not play without any internet connection?
    2. Have you made a playlist available offline which constantly downloads when you start Spotify?

  • Online/Offline issues

I have a friend living in Finland and we arranged to go Online at about 11am UK time yesterday 27 May 2015.  Skype showed my friend was Offline. Waited another 15 minutes, no sign of my friend.  Texted my friend to find out where she was. The reply was that she was Online all the time from our agreed time and was waiting for me to ring. unusual, this never happened before.  Thought may be re-bout my MACBook just in case . Same result showing my friend Offline, although she was Online. Anyway she rang me and we got connected and carried on our conversation. It also froze my picture, whereas I could see my friend quite normal on the screen...
I have a latest version of Operating System and my MacBook pro is Retina version..Does anyone know am I having this problem. Will greatly appreciate your feedback...MNAQ38

Since it doesn't appear the Online Capture for DB2 is supported, I am trying to work around this and do the Offline capture.
I copied the generated files from the Offline Capture option (startDump.sh,getForeignKeys.sh,getProcedures.sh, and db2v9.ocp)to the Linux box where the DB2 Database resides.
After connecting to the DB2 Database (DB2DB1), I entered:
    sh startDump.sh DB2DB1 USRNAME USRPSWD
to run the script startDump.sh. It produced files:
    Connect.dat
    Schemas.dat
It also created a subfolder (DB2DB1) containing:
    checkConstraints.dat
    foreignKeys.dat
    indexes.dat
    primarykeys.dat
    routines.dat
    synonyms.dat
    tables.dat
    triggers.dat
    views.dat.
My question is what do I do with these files? I believe the documentation said that file db2v9.ocp was supposed to be modified, but it wasn’t modified after I ran startDump.sh. Was I supposed to run getForeignKeys.sh and getProcedures.sh, or did startDump.sh already run these? Can anyone provide an example of how this is to be run? The documentation doesn't provide a DB2 example.
Note: The DB2 Supplement: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15846_01/doc.21/e15286.pdf doesn't seem to discuss the offline capture. It doesn't reference the startDump.sh file at all.

    Hello,
The new problem is that sometimes this historical trace and data might got corrupted due to abnormal termination of EM.
In this case please take following steps:
    1. check if there is enough space in the directories /traces and /data.
    2. use the script IndexRebuilder.sh in EM installation folder to try to rebuild the data corrupted.
    3. If there is any error appearing during executing the script, that means the historical data got corrupted and cannot be rebuilt. Proceed to next item (4).
    4. As mentioned in the section 2.17 "Enterprise Manager Corrupted Data Files" in the IntroscopeFAQ.pdf attached in the NOTE 797147, the solution is to delete the directories /traces and /data and restart your  EM to re-generate these directories. The side effect is that you will lose all historical data that is stored in the Enterprise Manager.
    Best regards,
    Guilherme

  • Windows 8.1: Printer Offline Issue - POSSIBLE SOLUTION

Hi all - I came across this extremely annoying problem between my Toshiba Win-spit-dows 8.1 (shudder) laptop and my HP 71197B Photosmart 5510.
    a) I found out my printer ip using Fing on my mobile - use any method to find this out.
    b) I typed this into my browser and loaded the web interface
    c) Using a video from the HP site I easily switch to a Static IP.
    d) I then found the printer settings/Properties and clicked on Ports
    e) I then added a new port - the printer was on WDP or something.
    f) I used the new static ip (again found this from Fing) as the address and called it HP Printer.
    g) The laptop found the printer and got all the details
    h) Word then showed the Printer online.....print!
    i) Got a print faded document because all the black had been used up doing test prints.... but it ruddy prints!!!!
    Hope this helps someone!
    Frank

  • "phone offline" and other syncing issues

There's been several threads on the "phone offline" issue across many of the big Pre forums, but we're really not heard anything constructive from Palm on the matter...  It's basically leaving me unable to do email and a number of other features that are pretty much the main reason for me buying the phone.  I'm really feeling screwed by this considering I pretty much left Verizon for Sprint to get this since VZW wouldn't provision the pre on their service.
Whenever I enable Pop email to get my account with several thousand emails, my phone becomes instantly unstable, generating the "phone offline issues" every couple of minutes.  I also have my google calendar not syncing as this too seems to provoke these errors, even though I have NO scheduled items in there.  I also cannot get my exchange 2007 email like everyone else having issues, but mine hasn't even worked on 1.1 or 1.2 versions of webos.
Seriously, how long are we going to wait for a fix to these major issues?  This is exactly why I gave up on WinMo phones.
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

I'll bet it is the size/volume of email in your inbox its trying to sync - not sure if this got fixed/better with 1.3.1.  One of the threads about google calendar causing this radio reboot issue indicated there was a memory leak in their java stack that was causing the radio to go offline, which got me thinking about my email.  As it turns out I had 20k emails or so in my inbox (I leave everything on the server and keep local filters to sort it out post pop), so the pre seemed to have issues dealing with this large of volume when pop'ing.  Now logic (to me at least) would dictate that if you tell it to only keep a week of email, it wouldn't matter as it would the email count, date, and index, and only grab the last weeks worth, meaning it shouldn't poop itself when trying, but it still does. Yours doing the same would indicate probably the same - excessive email count in inbox, at least beyond what the stupid pre seems capable of dealing with.
I would recommend as a short-term fix moving the bulk of your email into a local pst or just out of the inbox that the pre doesn't try to fetch a ton of email at once, at least then it's useable until they fix their buggy email app.  I wouldn't hold my breath and start working around it now - palm doesn't seem to concerened with fixing these issues in an expedient fashion.

  • HP 5530 wireless printer shows offline but it is turned on, I use a router

My printer shows to be offline, sometimes it prints pages at random, which I have no idea why or what they are about, kinda scary, It is turned on and the wirelss light is not blinking, but shows offline when i try to prine from my laptop. Its a HP 5530 all in one, windows 8

    Hello @tiogalady,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I would like to assist you today with resolving the 'offline' issues that you're experiencing when trying to print from your Windows 8 computer to your wirelessly connected HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer. Now, recently Microsoft has released a Hotfix for the Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Operating Systems to 'fix' offline printing issues as Microsoft recognizes this as an issue with their latest Operating System. Therefore, to start, I am going to have you run the Hotfix to see if this resolves the printing issues.
Can I please have you click here to access the Hotfix page. Once the website opens select the 'Hotfix Download Available' button. Allow the Hotfix to run. Please follow any onscreen steps to install the Hotfix.
Once the fix has completed, please test printing again. Should the Offline issue persist there is an additional driver fix that I may need to walk you through. Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • My laptop says the hp c309a printer is offline, but it isn't.. i can print from my hubby's laptop.

I have rebooted printer, pc and even wireless network.  Why won't my Windows 7 PC recognize the printer is online.  I verified the IP address was the same.

As odd as this may seem, setting a manual (or static) IP address has been known to help in similar scenarios.
First, print a network configuration page.
    1.  Select Setup
    2.  Network
    3.  Print a network configuration page
This should print a page that has the current settings assigned to it by DHCP (automatic IP settings).
    Locate the printer's IP address.
    1.  On a computer that can print to it, enter the IP address in the address field of the web browser to view the printer's page.
The resulting page should look similar to this.
    2.  Click on Networking.
    3.  It appears the printer is connected wirelessly.  Select Wireless (802.11).
    4.  Click on Advanced and scroll down.  There should be three check boxes.  Putting a check next to In an ad hoc network act connected evenw hen others are not present.  While you are using an inftrastructure setup, this option has been known to help in certain network enviornments.
    5.  Click on IPv4 Configuration at the top.
    6.  Change it to Manual IP.
    7.  Enter the printer's current IP address into the Manual IP Address field, but change the last number to a number that is outside the range of your router's DHCP.  If you do not know what range it is, you can change the last number to something between 250 and 254.  Most routers do not start assigning nubmers from the end, so this should avoid any conflicts on the network.
Enter the subnet mask from the configuration page into Manual Subnet Mask.
Enter the default gateway fromt he configuration page into Manual Default Gateway
Enter 8.8.8.8 for Manual Preferred DNS Server.
Enter 8.8.4.4 for Manual Alternate DNS Server.
These are Google's DNS servers, but they are good place holders and work just as well as other DNS servers in my experience.
    8.  Click Apply.
    9.  Once the settings are saved, power off the printer for at least 30 seconds.
    10.  Shutdown the computer that was having the offline issue.
    11.  Power on the printer.
    12.  Boot the computer back up.
At this point, the manual IP settings should create a stable network connection.

  • Wi-Fi Printer says it is ONLINE. computer says it is OFFLINE.

HP Photosmart 110a.  Have been using it for more then a year when it stopped responding to pring requests and I get an error message saying: Printer is OFFLINE.  When I conduct a Wi-Fi directly on the printer, it says I am connected to kmy network and it is working properly.  I have Windows 7.

Here is the Print Diagnostic Utility and will fix the "offline" issue for you:
