Offset Accounting Data extraction

Hi experts,
We want to extract offset accounting data. Field name GKONT ( Offset Accounting Number ) from R/3
to BI.
Please explain me in which datasource we can find this field and if we dont find in any datasource then
what is the procedure for extracting this Offset Accounting Numbers.
Regards,
Nishuv.

Hi Nishuv,
1) Please find the standard datasource which provides that field....in case u dont find
2) check in r3 ,se 11, table name DD03L ,where u give ur field name and u can get where all this field is used in different tables....
3) From that tables u find the approriate table ,which gives ur required fields information....
4) once u find the table the u can create a generic datasource using that table .... u can select the fields from the table which u want to have in your dataosurce.....

  • Offsetting account data from structure FAGLPOSX

We are looking at writing a report for new GL data.
This will need to include the offsetting account number.
It is currently only in the structure FAGLPOSX. However the structure is empty. How do we get the data into the structure for reporting, what table is the GKONT - offsetting account number in, for the new GL. It is not in FAGLFLEXA.

    Hi Eric,
    Check OSS note 1034354
I believe our ABAP'er have confirmed, the field I require can be added to the structure, so the issue is closed for me.
If you want to know more about offsetting account information let me know, via e mail.

  • Data Extraction template

    Hi,
In my current project there is a requirement for Data migration from legacy, So can anyone please help me on providing the data extraction template for Vendor and customer open line items, G/L balances and for Bank directory,
Your help in this regard is highly appreciated
    Thanks
    Rajesh. R

    Hi Rajesh,
When you extract the data from the legacy system the point that you should keep in mind are,
    1. How the organisation structure in legacy system is mapped in SAP system. Becuase the data upload into sap should also happen in the way the reports are expected from SAP.
There is no standard layout which is used while extracting, you need to make sure that you extract all the necessary information from legacy system which is need to be uploaded in SAP.
I can give you an example of the field that you may include in the layout of extraction
Vendor account, Document data, Posting date, Document Type, Company code, Amount in Document currency, and local currency, etc
    2. Please keep in mind that there are some GL account which will be maintained in SAP as open item basis. Therefore your extraction should also possibly happen each transaction wise.
    3. There are certain GL which will be maintained in foreign currency, line bank GL which are in foreign currency. In such cases you need to extract the balance in foreign currency.
My suggestion to you will be thinking through the precess first and then go ahead with the extraction.
    Hope this helps

  • Data Extraction (Line Item Level) FI/CO

    Hi expert,
Exp:the datasource 0FI_GL_4 is Data Extraction (Line Item Level) FI/CO.
From sap help doc i kown that delta records are directly transferred to BW. No record is written to the BW delta queue.
But i run rsa7 in ecc, the delta queue list had the 0FI_GL_4,moreover,it had many records in it,then i run delta in bw side the
    record is cleared
I was confused about it,why the delta queue had many records in it?

    Hi James:
Please refer to the presentation below:

  • Offsetting Account in line item display - FBL1N or FBL3N

How can I bring in the offsetting account name into the line item reports FBL1N or FBL3N?
I have applied OSS note 112312 using the SAP function LINE_ITEMS_GET_GKONT but this only brings in the account # and account type.  I would also like the account name.  I'm assuming I need to somehow change structure RFPOSXEXT  but don't know where to get the name field (I think it's GKONT_KTXT but not sure).
I appreciate any suggestions you might have.
    Thanks

    Hi
A Document is a proof of a business transaction.
A document contains Header and Line Items.
There will be minimum 2 line items and a maximum of upto 999.
Line Items display which account is debited and from which account it is credited.
while creating a G/L account , in the control data tab , there will be line item display check box. if you dont select the check box , you will not be able to see the line items ie you will not see which are debited and which are credited. you will see only the balance available in the accounts ie account balance.
you must select the line item display check box to display the line items.
selling items (materials) from sales and those line items will be displayed in G/L account or some thing else -? This is posting documents via Accounting Interface(from SD) , this results in Line Items in FI Document.
If you want to summarize FI Documents, read not 36353 and note the links to related notes.

  • Data extraction with PL/SQL

    Hi Expert
My customer wants to use PL/SQL language for SAP data extraction in Oracle database. He doesn’t want to use ABAP code for this.
In my opinion I think that it’s not correct to do this but I have no solid argument.
Could anyone explain to me why it’s not advisable to use the ORACLE  database directly for this data extraction?
    Best regards

    Hi,
PL SQL(Native SQL) statements bypass the R/3 database interface. There is no table logging, and no synchronization with the database buffer on the application server. For this reason, you should, wherever possible, use Open SQL(ABAP SQL) to change database tables declared in the ABAP Dictionary. In particular, tables declared in the ABAP Dictionary that contain long columns with the types LCHR or LRAW should only be addressed using Open SQL, since the columns contain extra, database-specific length information for the column. Native SQL does not take this information into account, and may therefore produce incorrect results. Furthermore, Native SQL does not support automatic client handling. Instead, you must treat client fields like any other.
I think this will be useful for you

    Hi,
    We have SBO 2005B PL25
in the G/L printout the offset acount code is coming through systm variable 74 but the acount name is not coming even after using system variable 415 please help with a workaround as we urgntly need the printed cash books

    Pradipta Dasgupta,
You can print offset account name using
system variable no.415 using subsidary account option and
    then select template
    'General Ledger by posting date(system)'.
I checked it offset account name appears in print preview.

  • Offset Account Name

Good day! I'm currently creating a general ledger-like report. I'm trying to display the Offset Account Name but I wasn't able to. Only the Offset Account Code is displayed. The tables I'm using are OJDT, JDT1, OCRD, OVPM, and VPM2. Also, how can I display the corresponding Outgoing Payments (OVPM) Document Number of a Journal Entry (OJDT) data.
    Thank you.

  • SPM data extraction question: invoice data

The documentation on data extraction (Master Data for Spend Performance Management) specifies that Invoice transactions are extracted from the table BSEG (General Ledger) . On the project I'm currently working the SAP ERP team is quite worried to run queries on BSEG as it is massive.
However extract files are called BSIK and BSAK of; which seems to suggest that the invoices are in reality extracted from those accounts payable tables.
Can someone clarify the tables really used, and if it's the BSIK/BSAK tables what fields are mapped?

    Hi Jan,
Few additional mitigation thoughts which may help on the way as same concerns came up during our project .
    1) Sandbox Stress testing
If available u2013 take advantage of an ECC Sandbox environment for extractor prototyping and performance impact analysis. BSEG can be huge (contains all financial movements), so e.g. BI folks typically do not fancy a re-init load for reasons outlined above. Ask basis to copy a full year of all relevant transactional data (normally FI & PO data) onto the sandbox and then run the SPM extractors for a full year extraction to get an idea about extraction system impact.
Even though system sizing and parameters may differ compared to your P-box you still should get a reasonable idea and direction about system impact.
    2) In a second step you may then consider to break down the data extraction (Init/Full mode for your project) into 12 monthly extracts for the full year (this gives you 12 files from which you Init your SPM system with) with significant less system impact  and more control (e.g. can be scheduled over night).
    3) Business Scenario
You may consider to use the Vendor related movements in BSAK/BSIK instead the massive BSEG cluster table as starting tables (and fetch/lookup BSEG details only on a need base) for the extraction process (Index advantages were outlined above already).
Considering this we managed to extract Invoice data with reasonable source system impact.

  • Offset account name for BP is missing in the general ledger report

    Hi all,
while taking the ledger report of a cash account through General ledger report in the financials ,it is not showing the Business partner name ,it is only displaying the code.
    Regards,
    naresh k

    Hello,
I am trying to get the "Offset Account Name" to print in the paper report. For the "on-screen" report it is displayed and can be toggled in the form settings, but this has no impact on the printable reports. I have looked all over trying to figure out an easy way to just add the data into the report, but for the built-in Crystal report, all the items come from the "PLD_Items" database. PLD_Items F_120 is the field for the Offset Account Code, but I don't know which one it is, if it's even there, for the description field.
Short of writing an entirely new report, is there a way to add this field?
    Thank you.

  • Reg: Subcontracting Offset Accounts

    Hi,
I am working in SAP BW. I have a query related to Subcontracting and Offset Accounts. I need this for the analysis of one of the BW issues.
    We have three Accounts:64102002, 64100004,64150003.
Of these three, 64150003 is the Subcontracting Account. In KE5Z (P&L), for a particular material, when I am checking the data, I can see that the Subcontracting Account is associated with a Sales order Number (this information is coming fom GLPCA table). While the other two Offseeting Accounts (64102002 and 64100004) are not having any Sales order Number associated with them.
BW uses this Sales Order Information for reading Customer Number. Since, the Offsetting Accounts are not having Sales Order Number associated with them, so, Customer Number is not pulled into BW for these records associated with the Offsetting Accounts.
As I am not having much knowledge about the R3 processes, could you please guide me as to why sales order number is not associated with the Offsetting Accounts, whether it makes sense to create this association?
    Kindly let me know.
    Thanks,
    Anjana

  • HFM Data Extract in Task Flow ??

    HI,
I have a couple of clarification on HFM Data extract in HFM Task flow,
    1) Is Data extraction possible for the predefined accounts in HFM task flow? – in which Accounts & other dimesion memebers needs to be pre-defined so that just on execution of the task flow, HFM needs to extract the data into a text file (i.e., It should not prompt to select the Accounts (as well as other dimension members) each time we extract)
    2) For Data extract purpose, we need some of the HFM members in a different name. So, we planned to create a alias table. In data extraction, Is it possible to select the member names from an custom alias table?
    3) We have to define a specific set of Account values as negative in the extracted data file which is actually positive in HFM. Also, In the extracted data file, We need to have the Account member name same as the existing HFM Account name.
    a.     For instance,
    In HFM:
Account Member Name in HFM: VUK
    Account Value: 1000
    In the Extracted data file:
Account Member Name in data file: VUK
    Account Value: -1000
Is this feasible? If yes, can you explain a bit in detail (like how we can implement this in HFM)
    Thanks,
    Siva

    HI,
I need a help in HFM Data extraction.
We use four custom dimensions and our requirement is to get the data extract for the custom members which we need(we need only parent members in custom dimensions).
But, by default, HFM extracts the data for all base custom members(and not for any parent custom members) - which we dont wish to have.
Is there any possiblty to extract the data by choosing the custom members for which we need data ??
Our's is a classic HFM Application in 9.3.1. (in Oracle DB)
Your response will be highly appreciated !!!
    Thanks,
    Siva

  • Where are the Data Extract Views

    Hi,
can anyone answer me where I would find the Oracle Data Extract Views? I created several data extract views and I would need to query the data in those views.
I thought they would be in the Study Account but could not find the views there.
    Kindest regards
    Dennis

Sorry I just found why I did not see my views ... there was an error in the mapping table which resulted in an error when creating the view and therefore it did not show up ...
    All my fault ...

  • How to identify whether the data extracted is direct, queued, unserialized

    hi,
how to identify whether the data extraction from r/3 is direct, queued and unseralized data.
can anyone let me know abt it
    regds
    hari

    hI,
Direct Delta: With this update mode, the extraction data is transferred with each document posting directly into the BW delta queue. In doing so, each document posting with delta extraction is posted for exactly one LUW in the respective BW delta queues.
This update method is recommended for the following general criteria:
    a) A maximum of 10,000 document changes (creating, changing or deleting documents) are accrued between two delta extractions for the application in question. A (considerably) larger number of LUWs in the BW delta queue can result in terminations during extraction.
    b) With a future delta initialization, you can ensure that no documents are posted from the start of the recompilation run in R/3 until all delta-init requests have been successfully posted. This applies particularly if, for example, you want to include more organizational units such as another plant or sales organization in the extraction. Stopping the posting of documents always applies to the entire client.
Queued Delta: With this update mode, the extraction data is collected for the affected application instead of being collected in an extraction queue, and can be transferred as usual with the V3 update by means of an updating collective run into the BW delta queue. In doing so, up to 10000 delta extractions of documents for an LUW are compressed for each DataSource into the BW delta queue, depending on the application.
    new queued delta
This update method is recommended for the following general criteria:
    a) More than 10,000 document changes (creating, changing or deleting a documents) are performed each day for the application in question.
    b) In future delta initializations, you must reduce the posting-free phase to executing the recompilation run in R/3. The document postings should be included again when the delta Init requests are posted in BW. Of course, the conditions described above for the update collective run must be taken into account.
Non-serialized V3 Update:With this update mode, the extraction data for the application considered is written as before into the update tables with the help of a V3 update module. They are kept there as long as the data is selected through an updating collective run and are processed. However, in contrast to the current default settings (serialized V3 update), the data in the updating collective run are thereby read without regard to sequence from the update tables and are transferred to the BW delta queue.
    unserialized v3 update
This update method is recommended for the following general criteria:
    a) Due to the design of the data targets in BW and for the particular application in question, it is irrelevant whether or not the extraction data is transferred to BW in exactly the same sequence in which the data was generated in R/3.

  • View/Modify Funds Disbursement Data Extract

In Oracle R12 payment format tied to the bank account dictates which data extract would be used and which XML template would be applied to the data. My question is how would I see the content of a data extract and I would I add more fields to the extract? I tried using XML Publisher responsibility but could not get answer to my 2 questions. I would really appreciate if someone could guide in the right direction. Thanks.

Well, when you create a template in XML Publisher, you have to assign the Data Definition you want to use for this template. The Data Definition also sits in XML Publisher. Click on the Data Definitions tab in XML Publisher if you want to see the Data Definition.
So the process, if you were creating something new, is this - 1) Create the Data Definition in XML Publisher. Have to create this first. 2. Then create the template and assign the proper data definition in that template.
Does this make sense? Maybe you have an XML Publisher guru there you can talk to. Or you can download the XML Publisher Administration and Developer's Guide for R12, and study up on this that way. Pretty hard in a forum like this to give you detailed information on something like this.
    Hopefully this helps a bit.
