did I post in the wrong forum, ask to arcane of a question or something of that order?
my post (VMS, create directory and the chamber of secrets this morning has zero responses and of thirty plus inquiries since mine nearly all have had some sort or reply.

Maybe the reference to VMS is making people think they won't be able to answer the question. Are you sure it is relevant to your web app design issue? Does the directory you created work generally, aside from the problem procedure?
Then there is a mention of "the SCT Banner web form system" (never heard of it) and the Banners function call twbkfrmt.p_printmessage. If the question is to do with that, I definitely won't have a clue.
Then I read "I thought I could store my java code in a the CLOB field of a table, access it with a cursor and insert the code into the generated web page like so..." and apart from wondering how you propose to compile the Java class I know I won't be able to help. Then I see a mention of a .js file and I wonder if you meant Java at all.
I'm afraid if you need help from someone who remembers VMS, is familiar with the SCT Banner Web Form System and Java/JavaScript Web development who can also troubleshoot CREATE DIRECTORY issues, you may have to wait a while. Good luck :)

My first question is have you checked to ensure that the file and directory permissions will allow oracle to read the file you want? Have you tried dumping your supernote.js file in the jobsub directory, or chaning it's (and/or the directories) protections?
From the documentation for create directory: "Oracle Database does not verify that the directory you specify actually exists. Therefore, take care that you specify a valid directory in your operating system. In addition, if your operating system uses case-sensitive path names, be sure you specify the directory in the correct format."

Also when I do the system update it's not giving me an update for the latest Snow Leopard. I never knew that was available until I started looking around this site and it seems that since I have the internal dual core I should be able to update to mountian lion...is this correct? Want docked iPhone to use Bluetooth for Nav (Waze, GoogleMaps, etc.) when on non-Aux (radio or Sirius)

I have an iPhone 5. I also have a 2007 Mercedes E350. I have a Viseeo Bluetooth device which pairs with my phone for calls only (it is instead of the MB brand Bluetooth device that does the exact same thing). For my dock I have an iPhone 5 style plug attached to a cradle with a 30 pin connector on the the other end. That plugs into a 30 pin cord that splits to a USB cord (for power and is attached to a cigarette lighter plug) and a standard headphone like jack that goes into my MP3 port in the glove box. That way, I can power my phone and get "line out" quality from my iPhone played through the stereo when it is set to Aux. It is also more convenient as the plug to the iPhone is at the bottom of my holder, so I only have to slip the iPhone into the cradle.
Regardless if I'm listening to my Sirius radio or the regular radio, if a call comes in the BT picks it up and plays through the speakers, albeit at telephone quality, not music quality. So, I know the iPhone and the BT are connected.
Likewise, if I do not have the iPhone in the dock and I'm using a navigation program, like Waze or Google Maps, it will interrupt the radio and give me the instructions over the same telephone connection. Again, that means the iPhone and the BT are connected for the Nav program as well.
If I have iPhone in the dock (cradle) and I have the Benz stereo set to Aux the Nav program plays through the stereo with much better quality than the normal BT/Telephone quality. That is all fine and good.
Here is my problem: when I put my iPhone into the dock the Nav programs will then only play the turn announcements if I have the Benz stereo set to Aux. For some reason they do not/cannot detect that even though I'm in plugged into the stereo (Aux), that is not the selected source and should therefore use the BT.
Are there settings I'm missing to have either of those Nav programs use the BT for the turn announcements even if docked, but the dock is not the currently selected source on my stereo?
Is there any Nav program that will work as I want?

The problem isn't that the app (in this case my Nav program) prefers the dock out when it is docked, heck, I'd rather hear the sound through my stereo in the car than the Bluetooth phone quality, the problem is that it can't detect that it isn't the active connection. It seems there should be some communication between the iPhone and what it is connected to, to see if it is the active out. That is, when I'm listening to a CD/DVD or the radio or Sirius/XM the iPhone should tell Nav program that the dock isn't active and it would then use the Bluetooth.

You need to restore the folder using the (Put back) selection (CTRL click).

I cant get location services to stay on for Waze or Yelp. I check the box but when I return to the page it is unchecked.

Unable to download WAZE on BB Passport

Can I listen to WAZE app commands on a bluetooth headset on my iPhone 5?

Just got an iPhone 5. Able to easily link its Bluetooth to my 2011 Audi TT for hands free driving. However, the TT entertainment system Bluetooth audio is limited to phone calls only (confirmed this with my Audi service advisor but maybe someone knows a work-around?). My biggest issue is that I want to hear navigation commands and traffic advisories from my WAZE app while I listen to music from my car radio but the iPhone speaker is no loud enough to hear clearly. (My wife's 2012 Mercedes E350 allows me to do this via its Bluetooth connection.) Will I be able to hear the WAZE information if I use a Bluetooth ear piece or head set? Are there specific capabilities the headset needs to have for this to work? (Read somewhere that mono earpieces will not support this.) Will I have to disconnect my car's Bluetooth to get it to work while driving?

Thanks for the answer. I did a little more investigating and found the following information. The reason why some iPhone 5 Bluetooth connections (to a car or earsets) only provide phone service is that the device you are connecting to only supports a lower Bluetooth protocol with mono sound. The iPhone 5 Bluetooth connection for phone uses the mono protocol. Many apps, like WAZE use a newer bluetooth protocol that uses stereo sound which the iPhone also supports. So theoretically, any newer earset should work with apps but I have seen posts of some models that do not. Perhaps this is operator error. I bought the Jawbone Icon too and it definitely works.
If you buy a Jawbone, beware of certain vendors. Many on Amazon and eBay are selling "factory refurbished" or other sources that are getting a lot of complaints about reliability and Jawbone does not recognize the warranty unless it is sold by an authorized retailer (usually at the full list price of $130). Get one that is being sold in the original factory packaging. They start at around $50 from non-authorized vendors on Amazon and eBay.

Why does Waze app ask to monitor my motion activity?

Can someone explain me what does "Motion activity" setting under Privacy setting mean? Waze is the first app that asked for my permission to monitor it, and that after about 1h of using it while driving. Wasn't enough that it was using my location services? How could that impact the tiny battery of my 5S?

Have you had this message pop-up before? You mentioned that it is a Verizon Message, does it come in a form of a text message? Is it possible for you to send us a screenshot of this message?

How do I get Siri to give directions using Waze?

I use GPS while driving and would like to use voice control. I have tried using Apple Maps but have found it to be missing features and I have to go through a long process every time I want to go to the same destination. Waze, I start it and it asks if I want to go home or to work depending on where I am. However, to do this I have to look at the screen and press buttons. Is there a way to start and use Waze using Siri. Thanks

Tell Siri to open Waze. She will reply that there is no app named "ways". You have to scroll up to where your dictation is and manually edit "ways" to "waze". Siri uses this to learn your accent, etc. Once you get Siri to open Waze via voice you have to access your Waze voice commands via either the 3 finger or hand hover method. Then you tell your device to "drive to home, work, etc"
---After trying a couple methods after posting this I figured out that if you simply tell Siri to "LAUNCH GAS" the Waze app opens right up---

GPS signals are separate from and completely unrelated to both the Internet and the cellular telephone network. GPS signals come directly from the GPS satellites. They provide signals that allow GPS receivers to calculate latitude and longitude information. Navigation software then takes that latitude/longitude info and converts it to land mass, roads, bridges, highways, buildings, etc.
Most navigation software stores the maps right in the iPad/iPod/iPhone but a disadvantage is that the maps must be periodically updated (perhaps once every two years). The Internet is not required to use the system but it is required to update the maps.
Some navigation software gets the maps from the Internet and requires an Internet connection to function but an advantage is that the maps are always up-to-date.
The WiFi+3G/4G iPad and the iPhone both have a GPS receiver. The WiFi-only iPad and the iPod do not and these devices require an accessory.

Lambda ZUP power supply driver

Hello,
I would like to use a ZUP power suply (of Lambda invensys compagny), with a National Instrument PXI chassis via LabWindows 7.1 software. The power supply i use has a rs232 and a rs485 links. Unfortunately i do'nt find any driver a instrument library for this power supply.
