On-Air advertising

Hi all,
I am seeking documentation showing how the module M/AM covers the process of selling advertising "On-Air".
In particular, the sales order management and booking master data.
Thanks

Please try this link for some documentation.

  • Macbook Air crashes on wake

    I have a Macbook Air purchased in mid 2013 (SPECS: 1.3 ghz, 4GB DDR3). I have been using it since then with no problem. In the last 3 weeks, it has started freezing whenever I wake it from sleep. Over the same time period it has also started taking a long time to boot up (anywhere from 2-5 minutes). Safari has been crashing frequently as well, and I have switched back to Firefox for now to avoid this.
    - When it wakes, the password screen shows up. I type in my password and then nothing. I can leave it for several minutes and it won't log in (oddly enough, I can see the mouse on the screen and move it)
    - I don't think this was temporally related to an install of an OS update. It is currently running Yosemite 10.10.2
    - I found some discussion that this could be fixed by an SMC/PRAM reset. I have tried this and it seems to help in the short term (a few hours) but then I close the lid of my Macbook and put it to sleep and if I leave it for the night or a couple hours, it goes right back to freezing
    - I am totally lost and could really use some suggestions on where to look/what to try next. I would consider taking it to the genius bar, but since it was purchased by my ex-boyfriend, that would likely mean calling him to get permission to make changes (I assume) and for a number of reasons I would prefer we not be in contact. He gave me the computer and knows I have it, so it's not a legal/stolen issue.

    I got it to crash again.  I tried to pare down the log as much as I could.
    Observation: if I turn off WiFi, it does not appear to crash.
    Any help is greatly appreciated. This is driving me crazy.

  • MBA restarted itself while asleep; Now boots slow

    I have an iMac, and sitting next to it, sits my MacBook Air.  I was working on my iMac, the MBA sleeping peacefully for the last several hours with its shell closed and its power plugged in (but was fully charged).
    All of the sudden it made the boot sound - It had restarted itself.  Shocked, I opened it up to reveal a blank black screen, though the backlight was on.  I let it sit for about 30 seconds, and having not recently installed any updates, was fairly concerned, since usually the MBA consistently boots to the desktop, fully loaded, in 8-10 seconds - the entire time I've had it.  I held the power button and turned it off.   Tried booting it again, same backlit black screen.  I let it sit longer this time, and eventually (perhaps 40-50 seconds later) the boot sequence continues as normal.
    When the Finder loaded, I opened Disk Utility and verified (no problems found) and repaired (because the option became available, despite the OK notification...?) both the drive and the permissions.  Repairs finished, and I restarted.  Yielded the same 40-50 second long wait before displaying white apple and loading bar.
    Any clues as to what could have caused this, and even more importantly how I can fix it?
    Many thanks as always,
    Lex

  • 2013 Macbook Air 13" battery life not as good as advertised

    At full charge, the estimated battery life read a little over 17 hours. At 97%, it now reads 15:39. Like I get this is vastly better than the older Macbook Air, but it still falls quite short of the 24 hours advertised on the website. Currently, it is still at 97% but now the estimated battery running time reads 14:59. Is this normal? I accidentally drained my battery twice since I bought it at the beginning of August, and I understand that's not good for the newer batteries - could this be the reason? My screen brightness is at 50% and I have no movies or music playing. Safari is the only ap I have open.
    I'd appreciate any ideas or help with this problem (that is, if it is one).
    I just looked at the estimated time again, and while it is still at 97%, the estimated remaining time is at 13:48. It's taken me a little over a minute to type this.
    I'm not very tech-savy - is there something wrong with the way I understood the advertised battery life?

    The Air is nowhere advertised for 24 hrs. batt. life.........  in any configuration.

  • Advertising Service in Adobe AIR APPs

    Hi,
    I have an Adobe Air application compatible with Playbook.
    I would like to put some adds in my free application and try to earn some money.
    Is there any advertising service for Adobe Air Applications?
    Thanks

    Unfortunately, I do not own an iOS device and from my understanding, you have to have a developer account just to be able to test apps on your device, even if you have no intention of ever publishing something on the store. Correct me if Im wrong on that, but everything I have seen is that the only way to test apps without a developer account is to have a jailbroken device.
    I have been building an audiobook player on and off for a while now and tested it on a Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, and Nexus 5 in addition to my Moto X. None of those ever experienced any noticeable delays in playback. That is why I was wondering if it is a per device issue. Or it could be that I have just always used vanilla (or extremely close to it) Google Android devices. I understand that the devices I have tested with are most likely in a very low percentage of active devices used aside from the Moto X. I was basically just wanting to jump in to provide my notes on the issue, the device I tested with, and my experience.

  • Can Flash Builder actually make native mobile apps as advertised?  Or does it always require AIR?

    I'm developing mobile applications on AIR with FlashDevelop.  It's a very nice platform to develop on, but AIR is a whopping huge download for mobile, especially over an expensive 3G connection.  I'm worried about driving away potential customers with that and I'd love to find something that builds native apps instead.  So I was very excited when I went to the Flash Builder page and read:
    "Build uncompromised native applications for iOS, Android, and Blackberry Tablet OS..."
    However, when I started looking at the documentation, everything always seems to still be based on AIR.  And AIR apps are definitively not native.
    Does anyone know if I've just missed something and Flash Builder really is able to build native apps?  Or is Adobe just blowing smoke and redefining words?
    Thanks!

    I don't see what the problem with running on a virtual machine would be. Most Android apps run on a virtual machine. Or isn't Dalvik a virtual machine?
    However, this is true for Android and not for iOS. On Android, your application is compiled to bytecode and then run on a virtual machine. This has the advantage of allowing you app size to be smaller, since users can download the AIR runtime separately and share it among different apps.
    On iOS, it is compiled to machine language. Otherwise, Apple would not allow its distribution on the app store.
    Some features are tailored for a specific environment (for example, text input controls). Some features are available on some environments and not on others, and the runtime provides functions to determine whether they are available or not.

  • I just purchased an ipad air and can't get the iwork apps for free as advertised.

    Just purchased ipad air.
    iwork apps are still showing up as 10 bucks.
    How do I get them for free like you are supposed to??

    Go here to verify your device registration (you'll need to login using your Apple ID credentials):
    https://supportprofile.apple.com/
    You can view your registered device(s) here and if there are any you've missed registering, you can do so that as well. You can also register new devices here.
    Afterwards, visit the App Store and your free apps should be available to you.

  • I have obtained an advertising virus on my macbook air called safekeep and it creates numerous pop-ups when I use the internet regardless of the site or browser. I have unistalled and deleted it from my finder but it didn't go away

    I have downloaded different browsers thinking that I could escape it but nothing has worked. I was wondering if anyone else has had a run-in with this?

    You installed the "SaveKeeper" adware. To remove it, please take the steps below.
    Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of the date it was posted, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment after a few days from now should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
    1. From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
    Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions, including any with the name "RightCoupon," "SaveKeep," or similar. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
    2. In the Applications folder, there may be an item with the name "SaveKeeper" or similar. Move it to the Trash and empty. If you get a warning that the item is in use, force it to quit, then try again.

  • How do I get my Mac air to recognise my HP c4580 printer?

    I am trying to print an article (stored with Pages) using an HP photosmart printer C4580 but it says it is searching for the printer (which is connected by USB to the Mac Air) but cannot find it.
    Also I can't seem to find Bonjour (which I have always relied on to recognise the various printers I can use).
    How can I make the printer recognised?
    Can I download Bonjour from somewhere? Would that help?

    Bonjour is built-in to OS X. No download is needed.
    Safari has a Bonjour browser which you can activate by opening Safari Preferences, selecting Advanced and enabling one of the Bonjour entries to add a Bookmark. If you then select the Bookmark, all devices on your local network that are advertising themselves with Bonjour will be shown.
    With regards to the Air not finding the printer attached via USB, you can open System Information and select USB in the left column. The top right pane will show all the USB busses on the Air and if the printer and its USB cable are working correctly, then the printer should be listed under one of the USB busses. Do you see it? If not, try another USB printer cable.

  • How can I speed up my MacBook Air?

    Hi folks,
    My MacBook Air has gotten painfully slow over time but I can't afford to buy a new one right now. It freezes for a few seconds at a time, all the time, especially when I am using Chrome.* Any ideas for how to speed it up?
    Specs are:
    Model: 13-inch, Late 2010
    Processor: 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory: 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    Software: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)
    Graphics: Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB
    Storage: The Mac partition is 75 GB, of which 44 GB are free (there is also a 45GB Bootcamp partition).
    I was running out of disk space, which I thought was causing the problem by cramping the space available for the swapfiles, which in turn was requiring extra disk activity (you can see that discussion here). There is a clear correlation b/w disk activity and CPU Usage (the two screenshots were taken back to back last night; the dock icon for Activity Monitor is showing CPU history):
    However repartitioning to add another 35GB of free space to the Mac partition didn't do anything. In fact, the swapfile sizes are exactly the same as they were two weeks ago when I posted the other question (this is from just now):
    I was thinking about buying an aftermarket SSD to increase the storage size, but if increasing the partition size didn't help it doesn't seem that will either.
    Thanks much!
    * The big memory and CPU hog is Chrome, and in particular gmail, but my workflow is pretty dependent on working in the cloud. I use Firefox and Safari from time to time, but my experience with those is that they run all tabs in a signel process, so to free up memory you have to close the entire browser, and if one tab crashes the whole browser does, whereas with chrome you can kill individual tabs if they freeze and/or to free up their memory.

    You need more RAM if that's possible in your model. I think you can go up to 4 GBs. You will use more swap space as memory availability declines.

    Understanding top output in the Terminal
    The amount of available RAM for applications is the sum of Free RAM and Inactive RAM. This will change as applications are opened and closed or change from active to inactive status. The Swap figure represents an estimate of the total amount of swap space required for VM if used, but does not necessarily indicate the actual size of the existing swap file. If you are really in need of more RAM that would be indicated by how frequently the system uses VM. If you open the Terminal and run the top command at the prompt you will find information reported on Pageins () and Pageouts (). Pageouts () is the important figure. If the value in the parentheses is 0 (zero) then OS X is not making instantaneous use of VM which means you have adequate physical RAM for the system with the applications you have loaded. If the figure in parentheses is running positive and your hard drive is constantly being used (thrashing) then you need more physical RAM.
    Adding RAM only makes it possible to run more programs concurrently.  It doesn't speed up the computer nor make games run faster.  What it can do is prevent the system from having to use disk-based VM when it runs out of RAM because you are trying to run too many applications concurrently or using applications that are extremely RAM dependent.  It will improve the performance of applications that run mostly in RAM or when loading programs.
    Kappy's Personal Suggestions About OS X Maintenance
    For disk repairs use Disk Utility.  For situations DU cannot handle the best third-party utility is: Disk Warrior;  DW only fixes problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by directory corruption. Drive Genius provides additional tools not found in Disk Warrior for defragmentation of older drives, disk repair, disk scans, formatting, partitioning, disk copy, and benchmarking.
    Four outstanding sources of information on Mac maintenance are:
    1. OS X Maintenance - MacAttorney.
    2. Mac maintenance Quick Assist
    3. Maintaining Mac OS X
    4. Mac Maintenance Guide
    Periodic Maintenance
    OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are scheduled to occur on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. The maintenance scripts run in the early AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep.) See Mac OS X- About background maintenance tasks. If you are running Leopard or later these tasks are run automatically, so there is no need to use any third-party software to force running these tasks.
    If you are using a pre-Leopard version of OS X, then an excellent solution is to download and install a shareware utility such as Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacron, or Anacron that will automate the maintenance activity regardless of whether the computer is turned off or asleep.  Dependence upon third-party utilities to run the periodic maintenance scripts was significantly reduced after Tiger.  (These utilities have limited or no functionality with Snow Leopard, Lion, or Mountain Lion and should not be installed.)
    Defragmentation
    OS X automatically defragments files less than 20 MBs in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files there's little need for defragmenting the hard drive except when trying to install Boot Camp on a fragmented drive. But you don't need to buy third-party software. All you need is a spare external hard drive and Carbon Copy Cloner.
    Cheap and Easy Defragmentation
    You will have to backup your OS X partition to an external drive, boot from the external drive, use Disk Utility to repartition and reformat your hard drive back to a single volume, then restore your backup to the internal hard drive. You will use Carbon Copy Cloner to create the backup and to restore it.
      1. Get an empty external hard drive and clone your internal drive to the
           external one.
      2. Boot from the external hard drive.
      3. Erase the internal hard drive.
      4. Restore the external clone to the internal hard drive.
    Clone the internal drive to the external drive
      1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
      2. Select the Source volume from the left side dropdown menu.
      3. Select the Destination volume from the left side dropdown menu.
      4. Be sure the Block Copy button is not depressed or is ghosted.
      5. Click on the Clone button.
    Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.
    Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager appears.  Select the icon for the external drive and click on the upward pointing arrow button.
    After startup do the following:
    Erase internal hard drive
      1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
      2. After DU loads select your internal hard drive (this is the entry with the
           mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the
           drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is
           failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be
           reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the
           DU main window.
      3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the
           drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended
           (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to
           GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait
           until the process has completed.
    Restore the clone to the internal hard drive
      1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
      2. Select the Source volume from the left side dropdown menu.
      3. Select the Destination volume from the left side dropdown menu.
      4. Be sure the Block Copy button is not selected or is ghosted.
      5. Click on the Clone button.
    Destination means the internal hard drive. Source means the external startup drive.
    Note that the Source and Destination drives are swapped for this last procedure.
    Malware Protection
    As for malware protection there are few if any such animals affecting OS X. Starting with Lion Apple has included built-in malware protection that is automatically updated as necessary.
    Helpful Links Regarding Malware Protection:
    1. Mac Malware Guide.
    2. Detecting and avoiding malware and spyware
    3. Macintosh Virus Guide
    For general anti-virus protection I recommend only using ClamXav, but it is not necessary if you are keeping your computer's operating system software up to date. You should avoid any other third-party software advertised as providing anti-malware/virus protection. They are not required and could cause the performance of your computer to drop.
    Cache Clearing
    I recommend downloading a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX 2.4.3, or Cocktail 5.1.1 that you can use for periodic maintenance such as removing old log files and archives, clearing caches, etc. Corrupted cache files can cause slowness, kernel panics, and other issues. Although this is not a frequent nor a recurring problem, when it does happen there are tools such as those above to fix the problem.
    For emergency cleaning install the freeware utility Applejack.  If you cannot start up in OS X, you may be able to start in single-user mode from which you can run Applejack to do a whole set of repair and maintenance routines from the command line.  Note that AppleJack 1.5 is required for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. (AppleJack works with Snow Leopard or earlier.)
    Installing System Updates or Upgrades
    When you install any new system software or updates be sure to repair the hard drive and permissions beforehand. I also recommend booting into safe mode before doing system software updates.
    Backup and Restore
    Having a backup and restore strategy is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your computer. Get an external Firewire drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
      1. Carbon Copy Cloner.
      2. Deja Vu
      3. SuperDuper!
      4. Synk Pro
      5. Tri-Backup
    Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQs on maintenance and backup and restore.
    Always have a current backup before performing any system updates or upgrades.
    Be sure you have an adequate amount of RAM installed for the number of applications you run concurrently. Be sure you leave a minimum of 10% of the hard drive's capacity or 20 GBs, whichever is greater, as free space. Avoid installing utilities that rely on Haxies, SIMBL, or that alter the OS appearance, add features you will rarely if ever need, etc. The more extras you install the greater the probability of having problems. If you install software be sure you know how to uninstall it. Avoid installing multiple new software at the same time. Install one at a time and use it for a while to be sure it's compatible.

  • I updated to Yosemite and now I can't restart my macbook air

    since the update i found that my macbook started lagging a lot more than it used to, but now it can't even be restarted or switched off. Everything disappears except the icons at the bottom of the screen and then nothing happens. Pressing the switch off button for 3-4 seconds helps. but i don't want to turn off my mac this way. Does anyone have such an issue with yosemite?

  • 8/20/2014 - Beta - AIR 15.0.0.233 Runtime and SDK

    Adobe AIR Beta Channel Update
    This beta release provides access to the latest AIR runtime and SDK (with compiler) for Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android.  You can download the AIR beta here: Download Adobe AIR 15 Beta - Adobe Labs
    Below are some of the key features and benefits of AIR 15. Please see our release notes for full details.
    New Features:
    Stage3D “Standard” profile support for iOS and Android
    In the Flash Runtime 14 release we introduced the Stage3D “Standard” profile which provided many advanced 3D features.  At that time, the “Standard” profile was only available on desktop platforms.  In the AIR 15 release we are extending this coverage to mobile platforms.  If a device supports OpenGL ES3, it can successfully request the “Standard” profile and use the same advanced features as the desktop platform.
    Relaxing Stage3D Render Target Clear
    In previous versions of Stage3D, after switching the render texture through Context3D::setRenderToTexture, you were required to clear it before drawing. In this release, we're removing this limitation and optimizing the use of render textures. This change will allow you to further optimize and reuse depth and stencil buffers between different render textures.
    StageText.drawViewPortToBitmapData now supports Retina displays
    Currently, AIR will allow a bitmap with the same width/height of the StageText object to be passed into drawViewPortToBitmapData.  While fine for standard resolution displays, this is not sufficient for Apple's Retina HiDPI displays.  Based on customer feedback, we've altered the drawViewPortToBitmapData method to accept a doubled size BitmapData with StageText's view port on a Mac Retina display, and then draw a HiDPI image from the view port.
    Improved Packaging Engine is now default - iOS
    Starting AIR 15, new improved IPA packaging engine is now the default packaging mode when packaging for AOT targets ipa-app-store, ipa-test, ipa-ad-hoc and ipa-debug. If you encounter any packaging or runtime issues, please report at http://bugbase.adobe.com. To use older packaging mode, use "-useLegacyAOT yes" in the ADT command, before the signing options. To learn more about the feature, please follow http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/ios-packaging-compiled-mode.html
    AIR Gamepad Enhancements
    AIR Gamepad feature enables the app developers to provide a second screen on Android mobile devices for the Flash based browser games. AIR Gamepad API enables Flash based browser apps to connect to a paired Android device running the AIR Runtime app and therefore allowing the Android devices to be used as game controllers or second-screen interfaces. Following enhancements are available starting AIR 15.
    Multiplayer Support
    Gyroscope Events
    Magnetometer Events
    Applying skin as AIR gamepad screen
    To learn more about the feature and usage guidelines, please follow www.adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/android-air-devices-as-gamepads.html
    AIR Cross Promotion
    Adobe AIR 15 now supports cross promotion of AIR games for mobile devices. Cross promotions can be effective in saving some amount of advertising cost. With the right partnership, you gain access to a wider customer base with a demographic similar to that of your application. This cross promotion is free and works on a credit system. All you need is to earn enough credit points by promoting other AIR games to begin your own promotion campaign. The AIR SDK offers the new AdViewer API for promotion campaigns as a SWC, it provides functions to load and show in-game advertisements. You earn credit points for promoting AIR games by other developers based on ad impressions and clicks. To learn more about the feature and usage guidelines, please follow www.adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/cross-promotion-of-air-games-mobile.html

    I've settled on the following workaround, which fixes the problem consistently, albeit with a slight flicker sometimes:
    Check if you're on Android;
    Add an ENTER_FRAME listener to the stage in the activation handler (called when returning to the app from an overlay displayed by a native extension);
    Use a ticker to have 2 frames delay between the quality switch, anything quicker than that resulted in inconsistent or non-functional behavior for our app;
    Switch from StageQuality.LOW to StageQuality.HIGH and back again. Going to MEDIUM and back did *not* result in a fix.
    In my case, the code for the switch itself looks like this:
    private function OnActivate(event:Event):void
         if (Settings.IS_ANDROID)
              _Ticker = 0;
              stage.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, OnEnterFrameFixGPUContextLoss);
    private function OnEnterFrameFixGPUContextLoss(event:Event):void
         _Ticker ++;
         if (stage.quality.toLowerCase() == StageQuality.LOW) // stage.quality returns string in capitals
              stage.quality = StageQuality.HIGH;
         else
              if (_Ticker > 2)
                   stage.quality = StageQuality.LOW;
                   stage.removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, OnEnterFrameFixGPUContextLoss);
