On iOS 6, I want to use iMessage. But, it says the person I'm sending to isn't registered even though they are. Any ideas?

Does that person have an iPod, iPad or iPhone with the Messages app and are you trying to Message that persons with the email addres (or phone number for an iPhone) they aves set up to use for Messages?

You can likely download the last compatible version by:

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

I was not complete clear.
Since you never changed the settings in the advanced section of iTunes preferecnes, you have to chech that your music is really in the location setted in the folders reported in the advanced section. If not you have 2 ways: reset the position of this folders or in the actual disk organisation or in the pointing on the preferences.
If you press the reset button you just give to itunes its default setting as for the position of the music files: probably this will be a good choice if you have never changed any default preference.
But before I would check the folders and see if the songs are really there

Sounds to me like the file is probably corrupt. If you had hard drive corruption or damage, that could easily result in recovered files not being fully intact. If you were trying to recover accidentally deleted files, it's possible they might have been partially overwritten before recovering. There are never any guarantees with file recovery.
Without more information on the circumstances that led you to try recovery, it's hard to give advice on what to try from here. You could always try another file recovery tool, like Data Rescue 3. Just be sure you're taking appropriate precautions when doing recovery. See Recovering deleted files.

When you say a diffrent network, do you mean accessing the computer over the internet?
VNC is built into the computer, so you don't need ARD to remote into a computer. To access your parents computer over the internet will most likely require configuring their router/firewall. And unless they're paying for a static ip, you'll also need some way to track their computer.
OR
you can use logmein, or teamviewer. Both programs are desgined to access a computer over the internet. Most of the time they don't require re-configuring the firewall.

You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. This person receiving my email, while on a Mac with Safari is reading their mail through Safari using Horde--our recent discovery. Why they chose to do that in unclear. The last email we sent, however, was miraculously read and received and the attachment was viewed with no problem after we told them our mail was coming from a Mac thriugh Apple Mail. It seems that telling them that our emails were coming from a Mac and using Apple Mail was enough to make them think that perhaps THEY were doing something not quite right. If you've set parental controls up for the app store then you've done all you can to prevent your children from finding/viewing content you dont want them to see in newsstand. Here is some information about newsstand:
Newsstand is a folder that organizes your subscription apps. While it does appear in Recent Apps like an app, you cannot place Newsstand in another folder.
Each publication is a standalone app. For additional assistance or information for that publication, refer to the app's built-in help or App Store listing.
Newsstand-compatible apps automatically move to Newsstand. Tap and hold apps to arrange them in Newsstand.
Note: You cannot drag other publications into Newsstand.
If a subscription app or publication does not appear in Newsstand, verify that the app supports the Newsstand feature.
So all the parental controls you've placed on the app store are effectively placed on newsstand.

Is there a way to use iMessage but not have the texts sync to my iPad or other devices, just stay on my iPhone?

I don't like when things from my phone sync to my iPad or iPod, so I am wondering if there is a way to keep the texts on my phone and off of everything else. I share my iPad with others and don't want to be in the middle of a conversation when all of a sudden it just appears while someone else is using the iPad. In addition, I don't want the messages to syn to the computer when I plug my phone in, as I also share the computer with others. This has kept me from using iMessage because of how iCloud works, but maybe I just don't have a good understanding of how they work and someone can clear it up for me. Thanks.

Prodagio wants to use BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL, but here's the problem !!!!!

For some PO line items, there can be multiple entries for the same line item number if there are freight charges, etc. You can see the extra entries in ME23, among other places - there will be more than one entry for the same PO line item.
BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL appparently only brings back the "main" line item entry, and not auxiliary entries for the same line item such as those for freight.
Any one know a different PO BAPI that will bring back the auxilliary entries associated with the same line item?
Or will I have to do a "Z" version of the standard BAPI and put some code in to pass the auxiliary entries back to Prodagio?
This is pretty critical, since the customer wants to use Prodagio on the front-end, but can't unless this issue is resolved.

thanks, leaving the ipod attached till i close the computer seems like a safe logical solution, but i have to say that it's not a firewall and antivirus problem because i used before to eject the ipod from i tunes and it used to eject normally, till i sync the ipod with a second user on the computer ( it was also set to ''manually add songs'' with the 2 users. it is stupid, i know), i think the problem is in sync with with more than one user, so if u know a way to ''un''sync the ipod with one user or the whole computer i would be very thankful if u mention it. Also what do u think if i uninstalled itunes from the computer. would that work? i dont care if i would then lose the songs currently on the ipod, because the ipod is still new so i didnt put a lot of songs. thanks again

I cant turn off find my ipod so that i can restore it on itunes. I cant turn it off bcause of the multitude of popups asking for my password which i enter correctly but it says it is incorrect.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

After you restore you will still have to endter the Apple ID and password for the iCloud account used on the iPod

HT1349 I have just moved from one pc to another. I had used 5 computers to attach to itunes. I went in and disabled all 5 of my accounts but cant get the new computer to give me a prompt to authorize this computer. Any ideas?

I have just moved from one PC to another. They are windows pc's not macintosh. When i installed itunes on the new computer it stated that I already had 5 devices authrorized for this account. I did a little reading and went in and deathorized all 5 PC from the account as I am sure it was a couple pcs ago and a few iphones. When I try and go in and authorize an account I cant see anywhere where there is a prompt to authorize the new PC. I go into store and all it says is that there are no devices associated to this account. What I would like to do is associate my new PC and my iphone to this account and hopefully restore from the cloud all of my music and programs.
Any idea what I am doing wrong here or how I can resolve this. Thanks in advance.

Our hotel the Grand Oasis Cancun provided internet for only 36 hours and you could only use it on one device which comes to my next option as using your Laptop as a Personal Router to broadcast WiFi to any devices near your computer. Our room was on the Second level of the Pyramid at Grand Oasis and I was able to access it while at the VIP lounge below our room. Before our supposedly free internet service ended.
I attempted using the hotel next door since I was getting a good signal from the Omni Hotel. They offered complimentary 24hr internet access using your browser as a way to track your use. Once you find the signal of the Omni it will open your browser I used Google Chrome, after it opens you go threw a few simple steps and your ready.
I learned that after the 24 hours are up all you have to do is disconnect from their network, just run Ccleaner(free program) then find the Signal of the hotel and you will be given another 24 hours. What Ccleaner(<--download there) does is clears anything attached to your browser ie cookies temp files etc. it cleans your browser history giving you a way of not paying for the hotel fee of internet and giving you free WiFi. this is only if you are next to the Omni hotel :).
What you need to download to turn your computer into a hotspot need to say is this little easy to use program Virtual Router. Once it has download test at your home to make sure it works with you devices. This will work with Tablets, Phones and other computers that cant find the Omni WiFi signal. Your welcome. To use it, is simple. Open program>make a password>select WiFi and start VR.

HT4889 How do I get the files that transferred from my old mac to this new mac to all merge so I am not using 2 set ups? In other words, I have stuff on the "new mac" and everything else on the "old mac" even though they are on the same computer.

I need to merge my files that were transferred from my old mac to my new mac - for some reason I now have 2 separate setups on my new mac. I need everything merged to one account.

Did you use Migration Assistant? If you set up your new Mac first, you created a user account and when you used MA later, it transferred over the old one. The only way to avoid that is to use Setup Assistant at the beginning of the setup. I used MA once and spent a long time getting rid of duplicates - you can either do that manually or start over: use recovery (Command + R or Command + Option + R keys) during startup, go to Utilities > Disk Utility, erase your disk and download/install again. While going through the setup, use Setup Assistant - it will port over your one and only user account rather than create another.
