anybody have a procedure to open a XML file and modify some os that tags and after save it at a local file or a server?

JAVA Read XML file and modify attribute values based on some conditions

I have the following XML file "C:/Data.xml".
If the attributes on Dimension, Metirc, Data date Matches then Add the amount values and remove the duplicate DS node.
I looked some examples on hashtable/hashmapping but I could not find that meets my creiteria. I appriciate any direction or suggestions on this.

Open XML file with user default browser and not the default editor.

Hi,
I'm writing a java program that appends numerous XML files together. The result is a NEW well formed XML document. Since i have an XSLT that performs several UI modifications on this xml file, the file extension must remain '.xml'. I need to open this xml file with the users default web browser. The problem is that:
Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd);
....opens the xml file with the users default program for opening xml files which in my case is Oxygen. I want to force java to open this xml file with the users default web browser and nothing else.
I guess i need the Windows command to perform the 'open with' feature but i have no idea what that command is or how to find it.
Any ideas?

There is an 'alternative'. You can import it into a 1.5 project. It was available as a free standing API before 1.6 - through JDIC. See [https://jdic.dev.java.net/documentation/Examples.html|https://jdic.dev.java.net/documentation/Examples.html] for more info.

How can I take the part that parses the .XML file and make it a procedure.

          2.It will then take the values from the XML file and insert them into a PL/SQL table.
          3.From the PL/SQL table it will insert values into the STUDENTS table.
          4.After step four above, the STUDLOAD procedure will insert (Sequence,Status, .XML file, USER, SYSDATE, ERROR_Message
                         into the AUDIT_XMLSTUD table regardless if insert status was successfull or not status is indicated by either an Y or
          NO and the original XML filed that was currently processed, the date and user who executed the procedure.
          If the status was NO then it will insert the Oracle SQLERRM massage, into the REASON_FOR_ERROR column.
                         If status is Y then REASOK_FOR_ERROR IS NULL.
                         5,Make sure you embed the xml file with an inner and outer ' ' ie: ' the whole .xml file string ' as the input
                         parameter into the STUDLOAD procedure.
This package excepts the whole .XML file as a CLOB as an input parameter, so that the end-user will not have

Try opening the problem files using a text editor or file viewer to see what the first few bytes contain. All valid FM binary files for FM 11 will contain <MakerFile 11.0> in the first bytes of the file.
When updating books, it's sometimes better to just to create a new book file and add the files to that.
When renaming files in a book, changes at the system level will break any links/cross-references between files, so it's always best to use the Rename option in the Book file to change FM file names. This will maintain the correct linkages.

I have put a lot of work into a docx document on my Mac, but now can't open it as it gives the error message: 'the Open XML file cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents. Details, Unspecific
error, Location: 2'
When opening the original file the message said: 'this file contains word 2007 for Windows equations' etc. but I managed to track changes fine, and saved, closed and re-opened it numerous times without problem. Some graphs seemed moved, and various formulas
were illegible, but no other weirdness was observed.
I have microsoft 2008 installed on my Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
I've tried to fix it using various solutions suggested here, but am afraid am too IT illiterate to have had any luck, please help I'm new to all this!

This issue is related strictly to oMath tags and occurs when a graphical object or text box is anchored to the same paragraph that contains the equation.

Reading data From XML file and setting into ViewObject to Pouplate ADF UI

Hi,
I have following requirement.
I would like to read data from XML file and populate the data in ViewObject so that the data can be displayed in the ADF UI.
Also when user modifies the data in the ADF UI, it should be modified back into to ViewObject.
Here is an example - XML file contains Book Title and Author. I would like to read Book Title and Author from XML file and set it into ViewObject Attribute and then display Book title and Author in ADF UI page. Also when user modifies Book title and Author, I would like to store it back in View Object.
Please help me with this requirement and let me know if any solution exist in ADF, for populating the ADF UI screen fields with external XML file data.

Using web.show_document to open xml file

I have successfully created an xml file and saved it to a directory on my hard drive. I was tyring to find answers to Client_OLE2 and stumbled upon Web.Show_Document to open this file. Essentially the file is in a spreadsheet format so when I manually open using IE then Excel is launched. Anyway, currently I am running forms locally and have set a virtual-directory virtual-path in my orion-web.xml file. My virtual path is /report_tmp/. So in my form I have issued the following call to launch a browser and display the file:
Web.Show_Document('/report_tmp/'||v_filename, '_BLANK');
This call does not produce any errors nor does it display the file. What am I doing wrong?

If it is have you tried a show source on the browser window?
Sometimes if you open an XML file in a browser you get a blank page but the XML is there. Something to do with the XML format I think. I'm no expert on XML just a behaviour I have observed.

XML files and assemblies in bin directory

In VS 2010 the bin directory was very simple and straight forward. Now in VS 2012 Web apps the bin directory is filled with a bunch of System and Microsoft assemblies a bunch of folders named with the two letter country code use in URLs and a bunch
of xml files with the name of the System and Microsoft assemblies. I can guess the reason for the assemblies is so that the web app can be deployed to servers without the .Net Framework installed or to which the installed app does not have access to
the GAC. But what is the reason for all of the xml files. Then to add insult to injury, even though the project is created with all of these xml files listed in the bin folder, each and everyone has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark
beside which I assume means that the file does not exist physically in the folder. When you go to windows explorer sure enough they aren't there.
What is the purpose of all of these xml files, and if they are needed then why aren't they added to the bin folder? I can not publish my project because the files do not exist. Can I delete these files with impunity?

How can you possibly think that this is an ASP.Net issue?
Visual Studio 2012 created the listing for those files and foreign folders in the bin, NOT Asp.Net.
Visaul Studio 2012 listed those files in the bin and failed to create the files physically NOT Asp.Net.
Visual Studio 2010 does NOT put those extraneous files in the exact same kind of Asp.Net project, but Visual Studio 2012 does.
This is behavior that only occurs with the new version of Visual Studio. If it were an Asp.Net issue then Visual Studio 2010 would exhibit the same behavior.
Visual Studio is the mechanism that carries out publishing the project. This is a function of the IDE. It is Visual Studio that is reporting it can not complete the task because it cannot find the files it did not create.
This is new behavior from Visual Studio 2012, which makes it impossible to work.
In addition, Visual Studio 2012 keeps having the Output and Errors window show up on the level where the code windows are suppose to open and the code windows open where the output window is supposed to open.
This behavior has NOTHING to do with Asp.Net or it would be present in ALL versions of Visual Studio, but it is only happening in Visual Studio 2012.
Are the moderators of this forum trying to avoid the hard questions, or are they trying to hide flaws in Visual Studio?

Read an XML file and send it to client

I'm introducing to servlet development and I'm trying to do some AJAX calls. The client side is implemented, but I have some troubles on the server side. I want to open an XML file and send it to the client. How can I do that? Any special header?
I have implemented this test in PHP, so you can imagine what I would like to do:

Can't open XML file in 5.0

Edit: I realize there's a typo in the screenie, but rest assured that I've gotten the same error with correct file names. I've been renaming them to attempt to resolve filename ambiguity with the whole copy/paste thing, hence the typo.
Oh, yeah, sorry. I was rather tired when I posted this, and kinda hacked something together, which is far from the solution I want.
The files I'm trying to use are xml files from my engine, enemyData, Level, patterns. When I make a new package and copy the files into localXml, the HTTPServices work, but when I try to get to the linked "xml" package, I get a #2032.
I've tried "../xml/file", "../../xml/file", and "xml/file". None of these work.
And I'm about 100% sure you can find a million violations of best practices, but I'm brand new to AIR, so forgive me.

Issues opening xml files in CS6

I'm having a problem opening xml files in CS6. Currently, I'm able to load Dreamweaver CS6, but when I open a file labeled as .xml, the application freezes up. I have already set up my preferences to read .xml files. (some background info: I do have a previous version of 5.5 installed on the same machine. I could guess that the problem could be associated with having an earlier version of dreamweaver installed at the same time, but why would it only affect xml files?)

Have you tried opening the .xml file in NotePad or some other simple text editor? just to verify that the file is good and not corrupted.
