Opera is trying to get my contact info and whenever I click on the link

Slightly off topic but very concerning. Opera is trying to get my contact info and whenever I click on the link to this thread in my email, it pops up. This is the first time this ever happened. Oh yea, I don't have Opera installed on my computer. What the.......?

take everything off line, any clone or backups incl TimeMachine and rebuild the launchd services for one thing.
for another, and whether it is or isn't malware, is to have a clean system from day #1 you can restore or use.
Or just follow the guides on how to setup and do a clean ML OS install. Download, burn to flash memory and setup ML on a drive. And put that system on a sparse disk image and put it somewhere, and so you can also use it to restore the system if ever needed.

It is pretty hard to get malware onto a Mac.
