Oracle 9iASv2 Portal (default admin username/passwd) ?

I installed it, and took most of the default, but never set up the portal admin username and password. I guess it's still set to the defaults, but how can we figure out what that is?

The username I was looking for was the orcladmin one to access the portal web pages.
orcladmin / <password you shose at installation>

  • What is the default admin username?

I had a problem as I was not able to log into my printer security site since I could not get the right username and password, I typed in the one I remember and it does not appear to be right, is there any default username? I might have the username wrong, but I am pretty sure on the password since I keyed in twice following the confirmation of password.
    Thanks!

By the way, my printer model is Deskjet 2545

  • Workshop 9.2 on XP changed default admin pwrd now unable to start server

I have installed Weblogic Platform 9.2 that contains Workshop and Weblogic 9.2 on my Windows XP workstation. Everything was working fine until I thought I should change the default Admin username/password which was weblogic/weblogic. I did this by going under the Admin Console and going under the Security Realms and changing the password. But now when I enter workshop and try and start the server it tells me I need to look at the startup script. When I look at the scripts the passwords are encrypted. I have searched on line and found a some information about running some java scripts such as "java weblogic.WLST" or "java weblogic.security.Encrypt" of coarse these don't work and I am not sure if it is because my classpath is incorrect or I have to download some eclipse utilities first. If I had know that changing the default password was going to be such a pain I would of just left it, I have actually set it back to the default but even thought I have set it back to the default I still can not start the server under Workshop. I don't know how to fix this other that just uninstalling and reinstalling

I think you need to change the password that is stored in your domain (in fileRealm.properties file) as well to start the server. Weblogic's FileRealm ("weblogic.security.acl.internal.FileRealm") utility class can be used to do the same.

  • Default Administrator Username & Password for Weblogic Server Admin Console

I created a new domain using the configuration wizard on windows (using config.cmd).
While configuring the domain, I didnt check any of the check boxes for configuring Admin Server, Managed servers, clusters...
Just gave the domain name and location of the domain home and clicked on create domain.
So automatically AdminServer is created and domain was created successfully.
After the domain is created, I started the Admin Server from the same configuration Wizard and clicked on Done.
Now the Admin Server is started successfully. But I dont know the Administrator username and password as I didnt configure it while creating the domain.
So how to login to Admin Console? What will be the default Administrator Username and Password to log into Admin Console?

    Got the answer.
I tried with weblogic/weblogic9 and it worked.
I m able to login to Admin Console. So this should be the default Username and Password.
Please let me know your thoughts.

  • How can I customize the whole oracle webcenter portal

It assumes that you have this file available in your jdev
    ${jdeveloper.install.home.directory}/modules/net.sf.antcontrib_1.0.0.0_1-0b2/lib/ant-contrib.jar
Add ant-contrib.jar into jdeveloper\modules\net.sf.antcontrib_1.0.0.0_1-0b2\lib directory. You can download it from http://ant-contrib.sourceforge.net/.

  • Installing Pre-built Virtual Machine for Oracle WebCenter Portal error

    Hi,
I am trying to install the Pre-built Virtual Machine for Oracle WebCenter Portal: Framework 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0) onto a Laptop (500G HDD 8G Ram) running Windows 7 to learn.
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/webcenter/portal/downloads/owcs-portalfw-vbox-284132.html
I want to run in a VirtualBox Linux setup etc.
I have downloaded all the files except the REAVDD-HOL-WC.ovf which would not download so I saved in browser to the same directory etc.
I have set the preferences in Virtual Box to the same directory where I have downloaded the files to but when I Import Applicance and select C:\users\Tony\Virtual Box VMs and select the defaults and import I get an error box stating:
Failed to import appliance C:\Users\Tony\VirtualBox VMs\REAVDD-HOL-WC.ovf.
Could not open the medium storage unit 'C:\Users\Tony\VirtualBox VMs\REAVDD-HOL-WC-disk1.vmdk'.

I've imported this appliance (and others) on Windows 7 32-bit on a Lenovo W500, on an iMac, and on a MacBook. The one error you should encounter during the "import appliance" step is a path error related to shared folder (the canned/hard-coded path in the ovf file points to a place that is not likely to exist on your computer, so just comment out the D:\TEMP\Host path, or make it for that matter).
    <!--SharedFolders-->
    <!--SharedFolder name="Host" hostPath="D:\TEMP\Host" writable="false" autoMount="true"/ -->
    <!-- /SharedFolders-->
You can alter system set memory_target=300M scope=both and set your VM memory to 2.5GB and everything will run fine (using the vmctl script to start up what's needed). The "1" option is all that is needed for the tutorial shown in the documentation. If you run the admin server, you will see things run a good bit slower. Part of the tutorial assumes you know about UCM and how to take the UCM content in the sample files and upload those into the repository. You can delete the file already loaded and then do a single file upload to "re-load" the various directories/folders for the menu/home/etc. Upload the png and other files into the same folder (menu.html, menuBanner.png, etc. all go into the same Menu folder). It's not worth the time to set the bulk upload because you have to go out into UCM and dig around the admin settings, stop/restart, and so on. You can also use the contentadmin user (welcome1) to do the file upload.

The user created is in group admin, the user is therefore an administration user without administration authorization. In particular this user can create further users in the Web admin interface.
If you select another group name other than admin, create a monitoring user that can monitor, but not administrate, the ICM/Web Dispatcher.
If you want a user to be able to log on only with the X.509 client certificate, you can enter an x as the password (with queries), which makes the following entry (in the example) in file:
    icmadm:x:admin:CN=muster,*
           5.      Choose s (save changes of set to file), to copy your changes from the local buffer to the authorization file.
           6.      Choose q, to quit the program.

  • Reset Admin UserName and Password?

Is there a way to reset you Admin username and password? Do I have to re-install?

Following information is from Installation Guide, Troubleshooting section. It seems to indicate that you have to re-install.
If you do not remember the administrative user name that was supplied during installation, try the user name admin. This is the default user name specified in the server configuration dialog during installation.
If you still cannot determine the user name, look in the following file:
    domain_config_dir/domain1/admin-server/config/admpw
This file contains the administrator's user name followed by the encrypted form of the administrative user's password.
If you do not remember the administrator's password, then you will need to uninstall and reinstall the application server.
If you do not remember the administrator's password, then you can delete the administrative domain using the delete-domain subcommand of asadmin and create a new domain with a new administrative password.

  • Do I need start the database before installing Oracle 9iAS portal?

need to start the database before installing 9iAS?
    Thanks

    hi,
Even i am new to oracle application server and had the same doubt that you have.
When you install Application Server there would be two tiers installed, application tier and middle tier, these tiers can be running from the same machine or different machines.
These tiers will have a meta data repository to store application server related data, this database will be installed along with application server.
It is upto you to install "oracle database 10gR2 " before or after installaion of application server, this will be an independent database which will have its own home, but after this installation you will have three homes, ex: infra_home,mid_home and 10gR2_home.
by default oracle_home is set to the last installation that happens so if you install the database 10gR2 after installing application server it will point to 10gR2_home, but if you install 10gR2 before and application server later then the oracle home will be infra_home(if both the middle tier and infratier are on the same machine)
you can always change the oracle home by using set ORACLE_HOME=path/to/oracle/home( in windows)
    or export ORACLE_HOME=path/to/oracle/home (in unix)
    hope this helps....

I re-installed the LM4.2 this time i did not change the default sysadmin name gave a password then gave a different password for GUI admin which is prompted after sysadmin. Once the installation was complted used the username 'admin'(this is the default GUI username) and the password given for GUI admin for log-in.

Is there a way to hide them from appearing in address bar.

You can deploy the external application link for your oracle apps as a url item in a region. Enable the check box to open this url in a new browser window. Hide the toolbars for this new window using javascript. Hope this helps...
