Oracle DB at the receiver end

Hi All,
I have a scenario to insert/update/create product details into oracle backend from SAP. If the product is not available, the product should be created along with update of different details into Oracle DB tables. Does anyone worked on this type of scenario in which Oracle is at the receiver end (JDBC adapter). What are the best practices to follow? Please send across advices/weblogs or links if any.

Hi,
you can either use : UPDATE_INSERT action
in the sql document format
or you can check if product exists (in a BPM) and do the insert/update
based on that info
but if you use the product then you must use some sort of application right?
maybe at first try checking if there already are some
products interfaces ?
as if there are any they would handle all
of the checks etc (like BAPIs)
it's always better to use interfaces then
direct jdbc inserts...

Umm, Odd.
You seem to be saying that iChat has the correct Mic/sound input slected in the drop down in iChat > Preferences > Video section > Drop down.
You also see to have the setting in Sytem Preferences > Sound > Input tab.
You say that recording in other apps is ok with this set up and we have looked at the Bit rate of the MIDI device in the post above.
At this time I can not thimk of anything more to try.
I will sleep on this and post again if I think of anything.
Edit: Possibly deleting com.apple.ichat.plist will make iChat reset the readings it is getting from other sources.
Deleting this and restarting ichat recreates the .plist but you lose any saved Status Message, Font style, Bubble colours and other less visible things like Individual sound alerts.

Unable to Receive Files at the Receiver end

I have configured scenario Proxy to File with 1:2 transformation (Interface collections) ie
1 Sender and Receiver Service
1 Sender interface
2 Receiver interface
1 Message and interface mapping
1 Receiver determination
1 Interface determination
2 Receiver file channel with FCC
The QoS is Exactly Once.
My scenario is failing at Adapter Engine (Receiver end) failing to create 2 text files.
My Question is
1. The Status of the File Receiver channel in monitoring are in error status displaying "Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error: invalid receiver channel 'a3478068e95133a8ad28777a3fe1344d'" What is the reason for this ? I checked the Cache update and cache is upto date.
2.In SXMB_MONI , When Checked the trace part of Receiver Determination it correctly displays
"<Trace level="2" type="T">Number of Receivers:1</Trace> "
But when i checked Trace for Interface Determination it is displaying " InterfaceCollection</Trace>
<Trace level="2" type="T">...valid InbIf without Condition: InterfaceCollection</Trace>
<Trace level="2" type="T">Number of receiving Interfaces:1</Trace> "
Here it should display "Number of receiving Interfaces:2 " Right? What is the reason for this ? do we have todo multimapping?
3.In Message monitoring for Adapter Engine i could see messages in Holding state. what is the specific reason in his case (I know the literal/functional meaning) of messages going to holding state . "Maintain Order at Runtime" is checked in Interface Determination?
May I know in which situation the messages would goto into holding state (isit because IE was not able to find 2 receiver interface) and without unchecking the "Maintain Order at Runtime" option and manual intervention isit possible to process the scenario successfully?

Since I am using EHP 1 SAP NetWeaver PI 7.11 , there is no explicit option of selecting "Enhanced Interface Determination" ( Its understood implicitly through the Signature tab in Message mapping (1:n transformation)) and I have done multimapping as message mapping (In the mapping editor, switch to the Signature tab page) for my scenario
The cache (AE) is perfectly fine
I am noting down my observation here.
My scenario uses QoS EO and the " Maintain Order at Runtime" option was checked. There were many System error messages due to other issues for the previous month and holding messages for this month.
I guess due to this the channels were in error though the channels' status were in green but it was displaying message " Message processing failed. Cause:com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error: invalid receiver channel '1ac04de4d1103d09b5b9c764c8895e98'"
Now I filtered all the 'system error' messages with Sequence Id and deleted all of them and Resent all the holding messages and there were no message in holding .Now again i tried sending some data's ...the channel are functioning fine and no such error messages are displayed

Email font changes on the receiving end

Hello,
When I write an email the font and color of the font are as I intended.
When my email is received, the font size varies through out the email and some words are a light grey.
I've tried to correct this in the settings.
How do I correct this?

I imagine your clients must be using Outlook, which is seriously broken when it comes to e-mail standards, especially HTML e-mail. You can work around the issues with Outlook by only sending plain-text e-mails and making sure that, in the Edit -> Attachments menu, the last two options are checked. Unfortunately, that means that HTML signatures are out.
If you need something with a fancy layout, either attach a PDF file to the e-mail or include a link to a website in the e-mail.

Sending txt and the receiving end person get it saying is from someone else

I updated my husband's iPhone 3GS to io5 and now he send a txt message and we get it but is tell us is from my dauthers iPhone so it said from her number or her email address ....we all use the same store email wich is my dauthers email but even logginoff from the stores still happens but he is the only one having this problem...HELP PLEASE

No disrespect intended, but if I could see the address I'd have used it long ago - and it was not included in bccs (which have their own problems under this awful system - it's amazing how such a great machine coud come with such a poorly thought out mail program), it was listed in ccs only as part of "and 2 more". I have at this point figured out that a practical work around is to start a "reply to all" which shows the address I want to capture, then just delete the started note - but it's silly to have to do this and hard to understand why I shouldn't be able to instruct the system to just show all ccs. So the question, I guess, is can I and I'm just missing it? I do appreciate your taking the time to answer.

Improving WiFi reception on the receiving end?

I did numerous searches and couldn't find any info that pretained to my problem. We travel extensively in our motorhome to a lot of places that provide wifi, but in many cases, I either get a very low signal or no signal at all because of distance from the antenna. Is there anyway to improve the reception on the MacBook Pro? I see an external antenna by C. Crane that is supposed to work with the Mac. Any input on that or a solution would be appreciated.

My emails appear to be tagged as "junk" on the receiving end. How can I fix this?

When I go into my online Outlook account, I see that emails have been sent (they're in my "sent" folder). But a test message sent to my wife went to her Junk Mail. When I forwarded the original message from the "sent" folder, it went directly to her inbox. Is there a missing tag of some sort?

Pap2 Poor quality on the receiving party end

Hello,
I have a PAP2-NA device that I have configured with my company's service. The problem is the voice quality is choppy and breaks up on the receiving party's end. The quality from the persom making the call from the PAP2 device is fine which leads me to think it is one of the settings on the device. I have other phones (Polycom SIP phones) using the same service and the same bandwidth connection and they have no problems. This further leads me to conclude it is a setting in the PAP2 device. Does anyone know which setting could be adjusted to improve quality on the receiving end?

Issues with processing messages on one receive port causes problems on all the receive ports that are on the same handler

Greetings,
An integrator installed biztalk in our environment to process the hl7 message flow between their source application(s) and several receiving applications. We've had problems with this set-up for a while now because some receiving applications sometimes have
problems processing the messages. Be it either because there's problems with the server that processes the messages of a certain port or because there's problems with the software/daemon/service that needs to process these messages.
The main problem with this, is that the receiving end of this isn't under our control nor under control of the integrator, but when one receive port isn't processing their messages for a while it causes a problem with all the receive ports that are on the
same handler. So other receive ports start noticing a slow-down of their incoming messages until after a while nothing gets through anymore.
What is the best practice to prevent these kind of problems? Should we just create a handler for every receive port? Because that seems a bit overkill.

The adapters are mainly file and MLLP, the MLLP adapters are already seperated from the file adapters (a handler for MLLP and a handler for file).
The problem with all the receive ports is that when one receive port isn't processing its messages (usually caused by the software processing the messages) the other receive ports on the same handler receive their messages/files a lot slower. If for any
reason the problem isn't fixed soon, the other receive ports on the same handler actually stop receiving any messages at all.
Isolating the receive port that causes the problems like la Cour suggested can work, but next time it might be another port that experiences this issue. So we are looking for a way to make sure the whole message flow isn't hindered by one port (whichever
port) that can't process its messages. Or rather by one receiving software that can't process its messages.

Will an audio message disappear after a certain time even if the receiver has not listened to them?

I have noticed that sometimes i will send someone an audio snippet and they don't get it, I know it expires after two minutes from being heard does that time limit also apply to them even if they aren't heard?

It would be stupid if it did. After all, what's the point if the user on the receiving end never got to hear it?

Email address on receiving end is wrong

I have three email accounts on my phone (lets call them @A.com, @B.com and @C.com). If i send an email from @A.com to any email address at all the "from" address on the receiving end is my @B.com address (even though when i write the email @B.com is not selected).
If I send an email from @B.com or @C.com the correct address appears on the receiving end.
This is extremely frustrating since my @A.com address is my work email. Presently I can't send work emails from my phone because I don't want people replying to my personal email account.

Just as a test, go to Settings, then Mail settings. For @B and @C accounts, just disable them (don't need to delete).
Then go see if you can send an email from the @A account.
Just want to verify all is setup correctly for sending from that account.

Iphone volume very loud on receiving end?

When I am talking to people they mention that the volume is very loud at their end. It sounds like I am talking very loud to them from my iphone. It does help if I do not place my mouth so close to the iphone when I am talking into it. Has anyone else noticed this?
Reception is very good at my end. It's the receiving end that I am questioning. The reception is good at the receiving end it just seems like I am talking very loud to them.

I've had no complaints.

Did you follow the troubleshooting steps in that article?
Follow these steps, testing after each with Voice Memos.
Unplug anything plugged into the headset jack.
If you're on a call and holding your phone next to your ear, speak into the microphone and make sure you don't block it with your fingers or shoulder.
If you're using a screen protector or case that covers the microphone, remove it. Clear any debris from the microphones.
Restart your device.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
