Oracle file linke error

Hi brother,
I found two oracle file owner and group changed from id to number in solairs, Can I use chown commnd to change it by online? if not, Can i delete the link and re-create the link when the oracle is online becuase this is production system. I can't stop the db in this moment
lrwxrwxrwx 1 100 101 13 Dec 4 2007 /oracle/10g/jdk/jre/l
ib/sparc/client/libjsig.so -> ../libjsig.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 100 101 13 Dec 4 2007 /oracle/u01/10g/jdk/jre/l
ib/sparc/server/libjsig.so -> ../libjsig.so

These are just soft links, so no problem to chown, chgrp while the database is running.
Check the files that they are pointing to.

    Hi ,
I am getting the Same DB link ~Error again. I have granted all the access to the particular schema.
In the first step itself Interface getting failed...!!!!
Step 1. Create view view on source.
When I run an SQL query using DB link , DB link work fine. ( I had a doubt whether the DB link is an issue )
    Any advice on this !!

  • Oracle Mail webclient error and Oracle Files web error

    Having some problems with Collaboration.
    I've made a single-box installation on a Windows 2000 with SP4.
    The installation was successfully done.
The problems that I have are listed below:
    1) Error in Oracle Mail webclient
When accessing the Oracle Mail webclient, I'm getting the following messages:
"Application Error. An error occurred during log in"
then, when I click im "Mail", I get:
"Application Error. Error occurred while refreshing folder list"
I've tried the steps related in the 247517.1 document, but I'm still getting the same errors.
On the Collaboration Suite start page (when user logs in), the user can see the Oracle Mail portlet whithout any problem:
Welcome to Collaboration Suite Mail, USERID
You have 0 message(s) in Inbox.
    0 unread message(s), 0 voice message(s), and 0 fax message(s).
    2) Oracle Files is not accessible in the HTTP page.
I can access the Files by a FTP client, but when I try the http://host:port/files/app url, iget the 503 error message.
I've seen a lot of messages about this here in Metalik, but none of them could solve my problem.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

it's me again, just some more information.
I've looked for error messages in the logs, and I've found this on ocs_onebox\mtier\um\log\Webmail_Client\563686183\text.log:

  • Unsatisfied Link Error when using Oracle OCI (Type II) driver

Using Oracle OCI (Type II) driver on HPUX with Oracle 9.2.0.4.
If when creating a connection pool via the console, using the Oracle OCI (Type
II) driver, you get the error "Unsatisfied link error with library libocijdbc9.sl
or format error" then check that the library included in the SHLIB_PATH is pointing
at the $ORACLE_HOME/lib32 directory and not just the $ORACL_HOME/lib

We do not offer a JDBC driver for Linux in version 5.1. In version 6.0,we
do offer a type 4 driver for Linux.
In version 5.1, I suggest trying the platform independent type 4 JDBC driver
available for free from Oracle. It is supported (as is any JDBC driver)
with WebLogic Server. To download it:
Go to http://www.oracle.com and select the "Download" option.
From the resulting page, use the "Select Utility or Driver" dropdown to
    select Oracle JDBC drivers
From the resulting page, scroll down a little (since SQLJ stuff appears at
    the top).
    Or, to go directly there:
    http://technet.oracle.com/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/software_index.htm

    Hi,
Oracle required gcc295 for Linux Oracle to link correctly. We put the gcc295 at /opt/gcc295 and the put it first in the path for the Oracle userid. This work very well. Also there was a note the said to look in the files (gen/make files) and change any hard coded reference to a specific gcc location to just gcc. I looked and did not find any hard coded specific gcc. Hope this helps

I'm not very familiar with MATLAB, but you are getting link errors most likely because you aren't linking in the .LIB files for NI-DAQ properly. They are nidaq32.lib and nidex32.lib in the NI-DAQ\lib directory. They need to be linked in with the code to resolve these symbols.

You can work entirely in Xcode by using the command-line tool template in C. Xcode > File > New > Project > Command-Line Tool > Next > Language: C > Next > Create.
If you do want to work on the command line, you may as well just use the "clang" program instead. The "gcc" tool is just a compatibility tool for existing scripts that are expecting the actual "gcc" program. Apple hasn't used the real "gcc" for years. (Read up on the GPLv3 for more information.)
The gcc/clang arguments are the same. The "-c" flag instructs the compiler to only compile a single .c file into a .o object file. It won't create an executable. If you are only compiling a single source file, just omit the "-c" flag and the compiler will create an executable named "a.out" that you can run by typing "./a.out". You can specify "-o <executable name>" if you want to specify a name. Once you get more than a handful of source files, using the terminal starts to become a hassle. At that point, you definitely want to start using Xcode.
I'm not sure why you would try to compile "helloworlddot1.c" and then get an error message about "filename.c". Something else is wrong.
If you are working in the Terminal, it is easiest to use the "cd" command to move into the same directory as your source files. Then you don't have to keep typing the full path.
It is hard to say what the "best" community is. There are many to choose from.

    Hi,

Please refer the output of versions are used.

    p10098816_112020_Linux-x86-64_2of7.zip
For any doubt of version, I used same setup to install database software version (11.2.0.1) and succeed in that. But when tried for 11.2.0.2 installation on same setup then failed. I feel this is some other issue.

I get "*The procedure entry point OCILobSetContentType could not be located in the dynamic link library OCI.dll*" linking error
How can i fix this error
    Thanks in advance..
    Regards,

    Hello,
Please ensure that you are using correct PATH and ORACLE_HOME settings - for example if IC 11202 is installed in
    c:\oracle\11202\instantclient_112
    execute on commandline
    ORACLE_HOME=c:\oracle\11202\instantclient_112
    PATH=%ORACLE_HOME%;%ORACLE_HOME%\bin;%PATH%
before starting VS2005 from commandline - or generate a commandscript
Inside VS2005 please ensure that you are picking up the libraries from
    %ORACLE_HOM%\oci\lib\msvc\v8\*
    furtheron, copy the
    %ORACLE_HOM%\oci\lib\msvc\v8\*.dll
to %ORACLE_HOME% - otherwise by default the v9 ar picked up (copied during installation)
When this has been done, build the code and test - should work

But I tested the code with VC++6 professional with SP6 package and upgrade the SDK to the latest version that supports vc6. I still have the linking errors. My test seems prove that the dll does not support VC6.

    Hi,
The OLITE forum (Database Mobile Server (inc. legacy Database Lite) would be a better place to post your issue. This forum deals with the ODBC driver that connects to a "normal" Oracle database.
    Hope it helps,
    Greg
